Amazing Spider-Man #381- Hulk vs. Doc Samson XVII
After Hulk warns him not to Samson attends the latest "miracle cure" from gamma radiation. Of course the cure ir worthles and it only results in giving Samson a "gamma virus". Samson strikes out against the Hulk because of his subconscious anger with Hulk for ditching on his therapy. Hulk pounds Samson to the ground. He might have killed Samson, but Spider-Man intervenes.

Amazing Spider-Man #382- Hulk vs. Doc Samson XVIII
When Spider-Man stops Hulk Samson has a chance to recover. The gamma virus is transferred to the Hulk. The power boost to the Hulk is no help for Samson, and again Hulk is about to kill Samson when Spider-Man intervenes. The virus wears off, and Hulk walks away smug in his warning to Samson to leave gamma rays alone.
