Half-Life
Tony Masterson
was a regular guy. An english school teacher with a wife. Until
the government began testing gamma bombs in Colorado. The bomb
killed him, but only during the day. At night Half-Life emerges
from his grave to absorb the life force of others.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #342- flashback- Half-Life asks why Leader needs a new agent to steal a gamma bomb when he could do it. Leader says Half-Life that his only mission for him so far was a total botch. Half-Life says to give him another chance against Hulk. Leader attaches a camera to Half-Life's armor, and if Half-Life wins he can steal the bomb.
