Hulk chronology continued........
Warlock and the Infinity Watch #12- Hulk is just getting out of the shower when Rick alerts him to the news report about a lumbering green monster, whom authorities believe to be the Hulk, is roaming the streets in Reno, Nevada. Later Hulk finds Drax gazing into a store window at a saxophone. Drax is remembering his past as a jazz musician when the Hulk spins him around and punches him. Hulk says this is his town, and tells Drax to hit the road. Drax says he is going to hit something…Hulk for stopping the music in his head.
Warlock and the Infinity Watch #13- Drax hits Hulk, but Hulk lifts the ground out from under Drax. Hulk then drives Drax into the ground like a tent peg. Hulk says he should be charging Drax for showing him fighting moves. Hulk pulls Drax up by the cape, and asks if they’re done. Drax swings back at Hulk saying he was just getting warmed up. As Hulk comes down Drax says that hulk goes up and down good, and he wants to see him go sideways. Drax hits Hulk into a building. The building falls on Hulk. Drax asks if they’re done playing. Hulk rages forth, but stops himself. He realizes that if they fought that they would destroy Reno, and that he would get the blame. While Hulk is thinking Drax leaps at him. Hulk jumps up to dodge, but gets hit anyway once he lands. Hulk flies into another building. Hulk says that at least this building didn’t fall on him, but then it does fall on him. Drax flies over talking. Hulk thinks to himself that he hopes he never sounded that stupid. Hulk tells Drax that he gives up. Drax asks why. Hulk says it is because Drax beat him. Drax says that it doesn’t seem like he beat him. Hulk says to trust him that he did. Hulk thinks that he doesn’t want to turn Drax in since he reminds him of his old self so much. Hulk asks why Drax started wrecking stuff. Drax says a car hit him. Hulk tells Drax how if he keeps smashing things that people will come to stop him and put him someplace dark. Drax figures he better stop smashing then. Hulk points Drax towards Monster Island, but then Drax remembers that he wanted to get some music. Hulk breaks the window and gives Drax the saxophone to get rid of him. Hulk pats Drax on the back. Drax figures this means that the fight is back on. Drax hits Hulk into another building. Hulk gets up ticked. He says that he tried being reasonable, but that tears it. Hulk is knocked unconscious by Moondragon’s mind blast from behind. Moondragon and Drax leave. Hulk gets up and goes home. When he gets there Rick is watching the news. They say that they were lucky as Drax of the Infinity Watch arrived to stop the Hulk’s rampage. Hulk breaks the television, and says that he should have stayed in bed.
Fantastic Four #374- Dr. Strange and Spider-Man want to help the Human Torch, who is accused of arson, as Strange feels a larger cosmic threat surrounding the problem. Strange contacts Hulk who is reading a book at Rick’s apartment. Strange also contacts Ghost Rider and Wolverine to form the “new” Fantastic Four. They take to the streets. Ghost Rider, Hulk, and Wolverine say they’re bringing in Torch. Spider-Man says to remember that they want to reason with Torch. Hulk says that by choice or force Torch is getting turned in. They corner Torch in a building. Though he didn’t want to Torch sends up a flame four to summon the others. Torch starts buzzing around. Hulk claps his hands and snuffs Torch’s flame. Thing spins Hulk around and hits him. Hulk swings and Thing ducks. Thing says he figured of anyone Hulk would understand Torch’s losing control. Hulk says that he does, and that he wants to prevent others from doing what he did. Thing hits Hulk in the stomach. Hulk smashes Thing in the head through the floor and down through the floors below. Hulk pull Reed Richards off Wolverine and throws him aside. The fight is stopped when the Fantastic Four suddenly vanishes from the building taken by an unknown force.
Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #405- Hulk stands by as Atalanta and Ulysses settle up on a bet. Atalanta gets to shoot an arrow at an apple held between Ulysses’ legs. Afterwards Hulk tells Ulysses to do a more complete report on his trip to Iraq. Hulk tells a couple of little kids to play nice s they fight. The kids agree as long as he doesn’t hurt them. Hulk asks Atalanta how he is doing being leader of the Pantheon. Atalanta says there is a difference between leading and being in charge, and then she excuses herself.
Fantastic Four Unlimited #4-
Hulk pounds on Thing inside a virtual reality for
charity. Afterwards they take their visors off and Thing says he
only has his helmet to hide his ugly face. He asks if Hulk is
going to say he looks better that way. Hulk says he traded
insults for charity, and that Thing must think that he is still
the Savage Hulk. Thing is really ticked, and tries to hit Hulk.
Hulk grabs Thing’s face and slams it against the ground.
Thing storms off with wounded pride. He bumps into Ajax and the
Pantheon. Paris goes to slap Thing on the back, but freezes.
Later the Pantheon talks with Hulk. Hulk says his heart
wasn’t in the fight. He says that the who is stronger thing
between him and Thing has bored him since he was the Savage Hulk.
Atalanta asks Hulk to show them around. Hulk says he is going to
hit the showers and go back to his suite. Delphi sees a vision of
Thing killing Atalanta. Ajax takes off after Thing. Hulk gets a
call up in his room to come stop the fight. Hulk leaps down the
elevator shaft. He hits Ajax and yells at them both to stop. Ajax
tells Hulk that Delphi saw Thing killing Atalanta. Hulk says that
it was most likely an alternate reality so no more fighting. They
go out looking for Atalanta (who has been kidnapped by a giant
hand). Paris finds a fake note from Atalanta, and they realize
that Atalanta has been kidnapped. The other Pantheon go back to
the Mount to see if she is there while Hulk stays with Torch,
Sue, and Thing to look for Atalanta. Once they go Hulk and the
others fall through the ground. A giant snake emits a gas, and
when they wake up Torch and Sue are tied up like Atalanta. Hulk
and Thing are on the ground. Thing and Hulk try to free them, but
finds they are surrounded by a force field. The Mole Man reveals
that he captured them. Mole Man shows them Kala. She had looked
like an eighty year old woman, but Mole Man siphoned energy from
the virtual Thing/Hulk fight. He needs them to fight to restore
her to her former beauty or he will kill Atalanta, Sue, and
Torch. Hulk refuses so Mole Man starts hurting Atalanta and Sue.
Thing attacks Hulk. Hulk says that Thing is playing into Mole
Man’s hands. Finally Hulk loses his patience and starts
attacking Thing. They both get the idea to force Mole Man to
increase the power to his force field, and then ram into each
other and the force field shatters. Thing and Hulk free the
others while Mole Man summons the giant Megataur. Mole man’s
machines blow up and everybody escapes….boy this one stunk.
Infinity Crusade #1- The Hulk arrives at Avengers mansion as they compile a list of missing heroes. Unknown to them is that the heroes have joined with the Goddess, Adam Warlock's good side. Hulk looks at the list and suggests Quasar while they bring up people they can't or don't know how to contact. Vision suggests the religious connection all those missing have. Hulk suggests that this group of disappearances seems like the disappearances from a couple months back. He suggests trying to check up on "purple puss".
Infinity Crusade #2- Despite Thanos not being seen recently Hulk's intuition tells him that "Warlock and his bunch are involved in this mess somehow". Thing chalks Hulk's distrust of "those alien types" to Drax beating Hulk up recently. Hulk says it was all media hype. Just then Drax, Pip, and Maxam arrive. Thing gets in their face. Drax levels Thing. Hulk says that nobody but him gets to treat the Thing that way. Hulk says he isn't going easy on Drax this time. Hulk hits Drax, and Drax hits back. Reed Richards stops the fighting and explains the Infinity Watch are good guys here. Aurora, of Alpha Flight, switches personalities to her religious side. Hulk grabs her. Northstar charges Hulk, but just bounces off his chest. Reed wants to take Aurora to the Goddess. Hulk remains behind as Reed, Vision, and Iron Man go with Aurora. Hulk listens as Reed retells what happened on Paradise Omega.
Warlock Chronicles #2- Hulk seen standing in Avengers' mansion.
Warlock and the Infinity Watch #19- Hulk, with a bunch of other heroes, chases Pip. Hulk bumps heads with Maxam. Wolverine catches him. Hulk holds Pip and dunks him inn a bubble bath to fix his stench. Later Hulk stands over Pip in the assembled group of heroes. Hulk stands as Pip storms off upset over other's treatment of him.
Infinity Crusade #3- Hulk argues with Professor X and Guardian about whether manipulating minds is a reasonable cost to stop war. Hulk laughs as Absorbing Man runs towards Avengers mansion, but can't believe it when Creel says he came to surrender. Hulk is at the meeting where they decide if they should act against Goddess. Hulk accuses Professor X of being one of Goddess' chosen few when he suggests that she is doing more good than harm. Pip speculates that Goddess is the side effect of warlock expelling his good and evil sides as Magus was before her. Prof X contacts Moondragon, of the Goddess' followers, and she mind blasts him. Hulk takes charge and asks if anyone think they shouldn't act now. When nobody answers he tells Reed to get moving. Reed warns everyone not to expect quarter from their former friends. Hulk shouts when Pip teleports off the ship. He says he should've drowned Pip when he had the chance.
Warlock and the Infinity Watch #20- Hulk argues with Maxam about Pip's motivation for teleporting off the ship.
Infinity Crusade #4- Hulk takes a swing at a holographic image of Thanos as he and Surfer appear before the heroes to discuss a little plan. Surfer goes and absorbs an incredible amount of energy, which disrupts the Goddess' scanning abilities, and flies towards Goddess. Hulk sees that Surfer is going of course and directs Drax to hit him back on course. Still off course Hulk throws an big chunk of rock at Surfer. Surfer destroys the moon of Paradise Omega. As Drax flies him Hulk sees Thor destroy the two quinjets. Drax and Hulk attack Thor. Thor destroys Hulk's propulsion unit, and Hulk is knocked backward hurtling through space. The wonder twit Drax doesn't notice.
Infinity Crusade #5- The Hulk floats aimlessly through space around Paradise Omega. Bruce hopes he hits before he runs out of air (don't know why he doesn't hold his breath). Hulk's clothes burn off on re-entry. Hulk takes out Sasquatch as he lands on him when he crashes.
Infinity Crusade #6- After Warlock and Thanos deal with Goddess Hulk talks to She-Hulk at the wrap up party. Hulk stands in a loincloth after his clothes burned off. Warlock returns and Hulk (completely out of character) tries to blame Warlock for what a certain aspect of his personality did. Warlock and the others teleport out. Hulk listens as Strange says that the entire universe is in denial over the fake rapture.
Battletide II #1- Death’s Head, Killpower, and a robot priest are about to go and try to stop the Battle Tide, that has been ravaging worlds and is about to ravage Earth, when the Hulk lands on the Temploid Brotherhood’s space ship. He smashes through the wall. The Battle Tide is no longer mindless and is being directed by Bezial, one of Death’s Head’s original personalities that had to be locked away, but escaped.
Battletide II #2- Hulk is possessed by the Battle Tide and acts in a savage manner. Hulk crushes the robot’s body, but its head goes flying. Death’s Head and Killpower hit Hulk, but Hulk hits right back on Killpower and then kicks him across the room. Death’s Head starts laying into the Hulk, but Hulk punches him right through the ship and breaches the hull. Death’s Head can’t get back to the ship until they use a tractor beam. The hull seals itself. Hulk is about to kill Killpower when Death’s Head gets back. The two of them pound on the Hulk until they knock him through the hull. Tuck, Death’s Head’s sidekick, catches Hulk in the tractor beam. Killpower, Death’s Head, and the robot go to fight the Battle Tide and Bezial.
Battletide II #3- Tuck checks on Hulk inside the tractor beam’s field as the others are still off fighting the Battle Tide.
Battletide II #4- After the heroes win the Hulk is freed from the mind control. Tuck cuts the tractor beam, and the Hulk falls from space back to Earth. Hulk says that he has no idea how he got there, but when he finds out…
Amazing Spider-Man #381- Hulk is going through customs
when he is asked if he has anything to declare. Hulk declares
that the delay is annoying him. Hulk turns around to find Doc
Samson there. Samson says that the Pantheon told him where he
would be returning from Scotland. Hulk says that he was hoping to
relax, but he supposes Samson isn’t going to let him. Samson
tells Hulk that scientists have developed a gamma
“virus” that releases repressed emotions. Samson
figured that the demonstration might be applicable to Hulk’s
mood swings. Hulk tells Samson that when people mess with gamma
rays people turn into Hulks, Abominations, Leaders, and Samsons.
He tells Samson that if he goes within a mile of that
demonstration they have planned that he is nuts. Hulk storms off.
Hulk walks outside the airport, and a guy offers him a taxi. Hulk
says he must be joking and leaps away. Later Hulk watches as the
people run from him. Hulk says his shoe size id higher than their
IQ’s. He says that just because he is big and has a rep
doesn’t mean that everywhere he goes violence follows.
Suddenly an enrages Doc Samson infected with the gamma virus he
mentioned leaps onto Hulk. Hulk pounds and pounds on Samson.
Suddenly Spider-Man leaps on Hulk’s arm. Spider-Man says
that Hulk is going to kill Samson. Samson has time to get up, and
he leaps tackling Hulk. Suddenly the virus transfers from Samson
to Hulk. Hulk gets up with glowing green eyes.
Amazing Spider-Man #382- Hulk smashes the ground and knocks over Spider-Man and Samson. Spider-Man says the virus was designed to release repressed anger. Samson says that Hulk has that to spare. Spider-Man leaps and hits Hulk. When Hulk turns Samson leaps onto his back trying to choke him out. Hulk pulls Samson off, and then bounces him off the closest wall. Hulk pounces on Samson. Spidey dumps two entire web cartridges on Hulk. Spider-Man says they ought to get Hulk to Empire State University since the Torch already trashed half the campus with a nova burst. Spidey tells Samson to go try and see if the scientists have any ideas. Samson leaps away. Spidey hits Hulk twice and then jumps onto his back. Spidey “sticks” to Hulk and uses that connection to throw Hulk. Spidey takes off to Empire State University, and Hulk leaps to follow. Spidey gets Hulk there, and Hulk nearly destroys the whole place. Hulk finally has Spidey down and cornered. Samson returns and knocks Hulk into the building. Samson tells Spidey that the scientists say the germ should have burned itself up by now. Spidey says maybe Hulk’s dark side refuses to let it go. Samson says that given the choice between right and wrong or even the choice between right and legal Hulk chooses right. Hulk leaps back out. Samson and Spidey try to hold their own, but Hulk keeps getting the best of them. Hulk has Samson out cold, but before he can kill Samson Spider-Man tells Hulk to fight the virus. Hulk screams and the virus burns out. Hulk says he is impressed with Spider-Man. He tells Samson to listen to him next time and stay away from gamma radiation. Hulk leaves before the lawsuits start.
Incredible Hulk vs. Venom #1- Hulk is trying to scare the “puny humans” away because of a super-villain, calling himself Dr. Bad Vibes, wrote a letter into the news saying he would cause an earthquake at noon, and at 12:05 an earthquake hit San Francisco. Dr. Bad Vibes then demanded 20 million dollars, and so Hulk figured to scare off the people it might hurt. Venom is out helping the “innocents”, and someone says a monster is down the street. Venom figures Dr. Bad Vibes is using the Hulk to cause the earthquakes and the fight begins. Venom webs Hulk’s face. Hulk pulls it off, and says “ouch.” Hulk punches Venom in his giant jaw. Venom goes flying, but gets up, scampers around, and jumps on Hulk’s back. Venom webs up Hulk’s head. Hulk claps his hands, and Venom’s suit recoils from the sound waves. Hulk pulls the webbing off again, and again says, “ouch.” Hulk claps his hands again, and Venom writhes in pain. Hulk jumps on Venom and says he came there to help. They both heard the other had changed, and both challenge the other to prove it. They go to the news show that Dr. Vibes wrote into and challenge him to a fight. Dr. Bad Vibes calls in. Hulk puts the phone line in his wrist communicator. Hulk traces the call. They break in the door to find a nut with a cardboard box with the words “Earthquake Machine” and a red button drawn on it. Hulk and Venom walk away.
Sensational She-Hulk #54- Hulk reads about She-Hulk’s death in the paper. He slams his fist against the table.
Secret Defenders #11- Nova arrives at Dr. Strange’s house to ask for help with some giant robot. Strange says he will send someone. Nova and Northstar fight this thing all issue. Hulk shows up. He asks where it is, and then tells them to stay put. Hulk destroys the thing with three hits. Hulk asks if Strange has left. Nova says he evaporated. Hulk says great now he has to walk home.
Sensational She-Hulk #56- Hulk is watching the live broadcast of She-Hulk on a soap opera when she temporarily shifts into a savage She-Hulk. Hulk says he thought the events were staged, but figures he better check it out. Later Hulk arrives on the set to find that She-Hulk has gone savage, and figures it is up to him to stop her.
Sensational She-Hulk #57- Hulk tells She-Hulk to calm down. Zapper tries to apologize for his machine doing this to her. He says that he and Hulk will put her back to normal. She-Hulk tries to hit Zapper, but Hulk catches her fist. She-Hulk belts Hulk. She-Hulk tells Hulk to get up. Hulk says he doesn’t want to fight, but she is pushing him too far. She-Hulk knocks Hulk out of the building. Wyatt almost manages to calm She-Hulk down, but then Zapper gets involved. She-Hulk throws Zapper out the hole the Hulk made. Hulk catches Zapper. Hulk leaps back up through the hole and grabs She-Hulk from behind. She-Hulk bites Hulk’s arm. She-Hulk plows into Hulk and they fall down the elevator shaft. Hulk says he tried to be reasonable, but now he has had enough. Hulk punches her to the outside. Hulk and She-Hulk’s fight rages on. Hulk smashes She-Hulk with a letter from the Hollywood sign. When She-Hulk breaks out Hector DeVasquez, a gamma scientist and Zapper’s wife’s father, arrives in his Gamma Tank. He blasts She-Hulk. Hulk says to stop it because it is killing She-Hulk. Zapper’s father in law wants to kill She-Hulk so she will stay away from Zapper. Hulk tries to stop the tank, but is zapped with 20, 000 volts. Morris Walters shows up and calms She-Hulk down and she turns into Jennifer Walters. Later Hulk gives She-Hulk another transfusion to return her to the She-Hulk. Hulk leaves.
Wonder Man #26- Hulk is helping the people of Kanem, who are developing a system of growing food that might eliminate world hunger. They have been having trouble with a super powered terrorist, but the American government doesn’t want anybody going over there. Wonder Man arrives at the prototype farm, but the Kanem soldiers shoot him. Wonder Man disarms them and explains that he has come to help them. Wonder Man turns around, and is punched in the face by the Hulk. Through the Pantheon Hulk heard about Wonder Man’s recent rampages and he figures that Wonder Man is there to start trouble. As they fight Hulk says that he has met a hundred guys like Wonder Man. The guy’s powers get a boost and he/she figures to see who is stronger them or the Hulk. Hulk says that the answer is always the same. After they fight for a bit a kid stands in front of Hulk as Wonder Man is charging him. Wonder Man swerves and Hulk realizes that anybody who would make themselves look that stupid to save a kid must be okay. Hulk says that one of the guys says that Wonder Man was seen last night destroying things. Hulk and Wonder Man go off to find out who is framing Wonder Man. The guy who accuses them is one of the bad guys and he phones ahead to warn his allies Furor and the Plan Master.
Wonder Man vol. 2 #27- Hulk and Wonder Man are playing coy saying they don’t see any super-powered menaces around as the Furor sneaks up behind them. Wonder Man quickly turns and asks Furor if he has seen any. Furor is confused and Wonder Man punches him. Hulk says that it was supposed to be his punch. Wonder Man say that maybe Hulk will get lucky, and this guy will be good for two punches. Furor gets up and hits Hulk saying he is good for much more than that. Furor charges into Wonder Man and drives him into the ground. Hulk advances on Furor saying he promised the Kanem army that he would take care of it. A tank shoots Hulk and Furor hits him to the ground. The Kanem army wants to show that they should be ruling the country, and they figure that showing they can defeat Hulk and Wonder Man will show their capability. Furor and Plan Master take off to ruin the food experiment. Hulk and Wonder Man get up after hearing the plan. Wonder Man starts fighting Furor. Hulk is still leaping with Bornu in his hands when he sees Plan Master Hulk goes to stop him. Plan Master shows Hulk that from his chair he has launched missiles that are going to destroy Agrimax. Hulk leaps off to stop them. Furor starts pounding on Wonder Man. Wonder Man is distracted when Hulk is blown up by the missiles. As Wonder Man and Furor fight the Kanem people return and find out the military is screwing them. Furor and Plan Master comp to Bornu’s guilt and then disappear. Hulk and Wonder Man fix the farming equipment, and Hulk says that he likes Wonder Man’s attitude.
Iron Man #304- Stark hears that Stane International was the company that manufactured gamma bombs for the US government during Gamma Gate. The manufacturing building was mothballed, but not disabled. There is a protest going on outside the building because they don’t want the building kept ready to make more bombs. Stark suits up to go to the building because he knows who will be showing up. Iron Man goes inside the warehouse, and puts on his specially designed armor for Hulk fighting. Hulk walks through the door.
Iron Man #305- Iron Man hurtles from the building after Hulk hits him. Iron Man flies back and hits Hulk. Stark says that the suit is rated at a Class 175 and lists all its components. Hulk says he forgot one. Hulk punches him through a building, and says he forgot a driver’s side airbag. Iron Man says he heard Hulk had changed, but says it seems he uses his intelligence to justify violence. Stark says if Hulk has a problem with Stark Enterprises there are proper channels to go through. Hulk says not to lecture him on ethics as Stark maintains a building that produced gamma bombs. Stark says that it was Stane that produced the bombs. Hulk says he doesn’t care because as long as the building stands it could make gamma bombs again. Iron Man asks what he is going to do about it. Hulk says rip it down. Iron Man punches him and says, “Wrong answer.” Iron Man pounds on Hulk and says that if Hulk had asked he would have discussed a schedule for dismantling the plant. Hulk says okay. Iron keeps punching and railing, “But no..you had to…wait…what did you say?” Hulk says that sounds fine. He realizes that he was the aggressor. Iron Man and Hulk go off to level the place. Iron Man tries to apologize. Hulk says he owes himself an apology. He says expecting a big fight he blinded himself to other possibilities. Hulk says, “You’re smarter than that Tony.” Iron Man realizes he knows. Hulk says he should consider solving some problems without his armor.
Ghost Rider vol. 2 #49-
Hulk goes to land his Pantheon plane in Cypress Hills
Cemetery. The voice Hulk is talking to says that they could have
sent a recon team. Hulk says that he has a bachelor party to go
to, and this won’t take long. While Mike Badilino is sitting
in the cemetery he pulls his gun. Hulk grabs the gun and throws
it away. Mike runs away and transforms into Vengeance. Hulk calls
after Mike saying he is just looking for some answers to some
puzzling data. Vengeance thinks that Hulk is working for
Hellgate, and a fight breaks out. Hulk says Vengeance isn’t
going to listen to reason at all. Vengeance blasts Hulk with
energy knocking her into a tombstone. Hulk says he wants to know
where Ghost Rider is, what the black mist that has been roaming
through the city, and why the Pantheon has been getting weird
energy readings from this cemetery, but first Hulk punches
Vengeance.Hulk asks if they can calm down now. Vengeance kicks
Hulk in the groin. He says he is no longer human, but has
transformed into a monster. Hulk says that normally he would be
sympathetic, but Vengeance just kicked him in the groin. Hulk
grabs him by the throat and lifts. Two guys from Hellgate arrive
and blast Hulk. They try to capture Vengeance, but Hulk swats
them with a lamppost. Vengeance apologizes for kicking Hulk. Hulk
and Vengeance beat the two Hellgate guys up. Hulk tells Vengeance
that he needs to try and control his power, and not let it
control him. Hulk tells Vengeance he will be sending a Pantheon
team out to get the information. Hulk invites Vengeance to the
bachelor party, but Vengeance declines.
Hulk annual #20- Achilles checks in with Hulk as he and Ajax are supposed to be meeting Arabian Knight, a Pantheon field agent, about some Trans-Sabal troops being sent into Europe.
Silver Surfer vol. 3 #95- Silver Surfer, Thing, Human Torch, and Ant-Man are underground following some strange readings. Silver Surfer hears someone following them. Thing turns around to see Hulk standing there.
Silver Surfer vol. 3 #96- Surfer and Torch hold Thing back. Ant-Man says the last thing they need down there is a Thing-Hulk rematch. Hulk says Thing should listen to his friend, besides Hulk would hate to have to kick Thing’s butt in front of all his friends. Surfer flares as Thing and Hulk head towards each other. Ant-Man asks what Hulk is doing down there. Hulk says the Pantheon picked up the same seismic readings. Ant-Man suggests Hulk join them. Hulk says okay, but only because Thing makes him feel so welcome. Hulk says he is surprised to see Surfer around after Rick’s wedding. Surfer says he likes being on Earth occasionally. Hulk and Surfer are talking about Mephisto when Ant-Man says a cave in blocks them. Thing gets ready to smash, but Hulk grabs Thing’s wrist. He says that would be a bad idea, unless he wanted to cause a cave in. Surfer transforms the matter into a gas. They walk through to find an entire complex of ruins. Bruce says he guesses it is an Atlantean burial site. Ant-Man touches something and a mystic and soldiers rush out to guard their master’s grave. Hulk tries to hit one, but then they realize they are smoke or something. Suddenly the cavern starts to cave in. They get caved in on. Thing and Hulk brace the weight while Ant-Man scouts ahead in miniature form. They hear Ant-Man short out, and decide to follow his direction. They find a volcanic pit. Hulk spots a body on a rock formation. Surfer flies out and returns with the thought to be dead Nova.
Tales to Astonish vol. 3 #1- Hank Pym and Wasp are about to be buried under a mountain of rubble by a man named Knute Caine who has been imbued with the essence of Loki. Hulk leaps and tells them to go limp. As Loki flies away in Hank’s “Rover” Hulk’s hand emerges from the rubble. Hulk asks them if they are okay, and says that it seems their opponent has flown the coop. It starts to snow and Loki is walking through the zoo. He sees a wolf, and using his power transforms it into “Fenris”. Later Hulk is flying them in the Pantheon ship he took. Hank notes that the Pantheons are outlaws. Hulk points out that Robin Hood was as well. Wasp asks why Hulk was there. Hulk says that Delphi foresaw the trouble so he headed over. They see the nearby town is now buried under four feet of snow, and a giant ice castle has risen. Pym says that they should go get info. Hulk says that the info is clear, and they should fight. Pym insists on info. Hulk yells at Pym that he was bossy when the Avengers first formed too. He asks Wasp how she puts up with him. Wasp says that you get used to people. Like Hulk for instance used to terrify her, and now he just makes her very, very scared. Loki transforms a woman he met at the zoo into “his daughter” Hel. Hulk spots Hank’s friend frozen in ice. Hank shrinks just the ice. Hulk carries him to the ship where he has a first aid kit. Later Hulk wonders why Loki was ever as brash as Caine is being. Wasp says that Loki always feared Thor. Hulk figures this Loki is waiting for Ragnorok, and that they are experiencing his version of Fimbulwinter. Pym notes that Loki probably won’t want to wait he three years. Wasp tells Hank who Loki has with him. Hulk poses as Heimdall and barges through the wall with a giant ship. Hulk fights Loki while Pym kills Fenris by making an iron bar grow in its mouth. The power flows back to Loki, and he grows. Loki swats Hulk away. Loki tells the “Midgard Serpent” to find Thor. Hulk develops a plan. Hulk says that Fenris didn’t find Odin, that the Serpent will not find Thor, and that the destiny Loki seeks won’t come to pass. Hulk breaks off one of Loki’s horns and uses it to cut the snake. Hulk realizes that magic is a type of science in and of itself. Loki starts to lose it because things aren’t going as they are supposed to. Hel grabs Jan and her touch starts to kill her. Hulk says that if the Midgard Serpent’s venom was enough to kill Thor then it should kill him too. Hulk sinks the snake’s fangs into Loki. Loki’s power shrinks as Hulk’s anger rages. Knute Caine lies dead on the ground. Loki’s essence pops up before Hulk. Loki tells hulk that Caine was already dead, and not fitting for his essence. Loki offers the power to Hulk. Hulk takes the dagger with Loki’s essence and throws it into the middle of the ocean.
Night Thrasher #15- Night Thrasher and Rage find the Hulk and the Pantheon entrenched inside a building that is having a municipal dispute. The tenants are a group of scientists who are working on an experimental cure for AIDS. Apparently they used all their money on it, and didn’t pay the rent. The cops came to throw them out, but found the Hulk there to protect them. Night Thrasher pops through the window into a darkened room. Hulk tries to grab him, but Rage plows through the wall and hits him. Hulk says people are dying and they’re worried about a stupid rule. Hulk backhands Night Thrasher through many floors to the roof of the building. Rage punches Hulk twice, but Hulk just taps Rage down. Rage comes back with a kick. When Night Thrasher returns Hulk is palming Rage’s face. Hulk swats him away again. Night Thrasher turns his helmet speaker all the way up and shouts, “Hold it!” They stop fighting with Hulk holding Rage upside down by the foot. Night Thrasher explains they aren’t with anyone, and just want a solution found. Night Thrasher asks Rage why he didn’t tell Hulk they were on the same side. Rage said he didn’t want to miss going a few rounds with Hulk. Hulk drops Rage. Hulk takes them down to the lab. Night Thrasher finds out all the trouble was over $250,000. Hulk says it’s the principle, but Night Thrasher interrupts asking Hulk how much it cost to mobilize the Pantheon the way he did. Hulk says $375,000. Night Thrasher storms off in frustration. Hulk realizes that he overreacted because of Jim’s death. Night Thrasher goes outside and tells the landlord he will give him $500,000 to go away.
Dr. Strange #70- Inside the Mount Hulk says he can’t remember the last time he was left alone to work. He says it feels like he forfeited his private life when he agreed to be Pantheon leader. Suddenly an electrical spike knocks the power out at the Mount. The backups kick in, but Hulk’s hours of work are lost. Suddenly Dr. Strange’s astral face appears to Hulk. Strange says that he is dying and needs Hulk’s help. Hulk says okay, and tells Doc to teleport him. Strange says he has lost that ability, and needs Hulk to come to the Tempo building in Manhattan on his own. Hulk leaves a message on his computer to fix it. As Hulk leaves his computer screen flashes a message “New virus detected, new virus unknown”. Hulk lands the jet on Strange’s high rise. Inside Hulk finds Strange standing. Strange gives Hulk glasses that allows him to see Strange’s new techno-magick. Hulk sees the floor go transparent and bunch of computer crays below him. Hulk asks what is going on and reminds Strange that he said he was dying. Strange shows Hulk the scene where he saved the world, but hastened his own “dissolution”. Strange explains that the masked Strange is not him, but his life force split in two. Strange says that if they recombined one of them might survive, but the other life force refuses. Strange is going to use his techno-magick to force the situation, but worries that he might not be the one to become dominant after merging. Strange asks Hulk to link their minds so that Hulk could serve as his anchor. Hulk says that Strange better tell him about his theoretical base. Strange says to think of the body as software, and the mind as software. Hulk asks why Strange didn’t recruit Norrin. Strange struggles for an answer and says it is because of Hulk’s duality. Hulk realizes that this isn’t the true Dr. Strange. Suddenly Hulk is enveloped in the being of raw magick. Hulk can’t fight the transference. Hulk is merged with Vincent Stevens. While the masked portion of Strange is trying to talk Rick Jones into merging Hulk/Stevens attacks and starts pulping Strange. Strange recovers enough to blast Hulk/Stevens. Stevens gets up and stops pretending that he is the Hulk.
Dr. Strange #71- The Beserk Strange tells Vincent Stevens that while he is doing this they are both dying. Rick realizes Hulk is possessed. Stevens shreds “Strange”. Rick considers merging. Bruce shouts from inside Hulk’s body, “Rick! No!” Stevens suppresses Banner again. Stevens says it will take him a week to burn through Hulk’s body. Rick still won’t merge. Banner tries to get control, but finds Stevens inside replicating him to block him. Rick leaps onto Stevens. Stevens throws Rick into the water. Steven starts chasing down the shredded pieces of “Strange”. Rick walks up to Hulk and starts calling Bruce Banner a coward. He says that this seems like just another excuse for Bruce to let control go so he doesn’t have to deal with it. Stevens gets ticked, but more importantly “Bruce” gets mad inside. Hulk regains control of his fist. Hulk gets angry and regains control of his body. “Strange” smashes into Hulk and Stevens exits so that they can be merged. Hulk regain consciousness. Rick tells Hulk not to tell Marlo about this until after the honeymoon. Hulk tells Rick that the things Rick said about him were bull. Rick says he was just pushing Hulk’s buttons to get him madder and stronger.
Marvel vs. DC #1- Hulk is gathering firewood with Betty when suddenly a beam of light zaps him and he disappears. Betty wonders what it is this time.
Marvel vs. DC #2- Hulk sees the two beings that are the Marvel universe and the DC universe. Hulk is one of the ones selected to fight for his universe against the DC’s choices.
Marvel vs. DC #3- Hulk hits Mentallo with a giant statue of Superman. Superman arrives and thanks Hulk for his help, but Metropolis is his city. Hulk and Superman punch Mentallo and the same time. Hulk and Superman are then teleported out into a desert to fight. Hulk punches Superman into a mountain wall. Superman flies at Hulk and blasts him with his heat vision. Hulk hits the ground and knocks Superman off his feet, but Superman flies into Hulk’s face. Hulk and Superman trade blows, but when the fight is done Hulk is out cold.
Marvel vs. DC #4- Hulk is fighting with Mole Man and his subterraneans inside the Batcave. Hulk knocks the giant penny over and crushes some of the subterraneans. The others charge Hulk. Superman arrives and absorbs the impact from the big gun. Mole Man realizes he is outclassed and runs for it. Hulk watches later as the two universes fight, but decide to be friends.
Prime vs. Hulk #0- Hulk punches Prime in the face as Prime has grabbed Eugene Wildeman. Hulk doesn’t realize that Wildeman was trying to kidnap a child. Prime blasts Hulk back. Hulk pulls the sidewalk up on Hulk the way the Thing had done to him previously. Prime says he never heard of the Thing. Hulk grabs Prime from behind. Prime explains that Wildeman was kidnapping a kid. Prime gets madder and tells Hulk that the madder he gets the stronger he gets. Prime breaks Hulk’s grip, and then punches him. Hulk says that he usually loves these fights, but he just noticed a bunch of teenage monsters emerging from the sewer. Wildeman says that he has been treating them with gamma rays. Prime is getting ready to paste one of them, but Hulk stops him saying that they’re just innocent kids. Hulk struggles not to transform into Savage Banner. Hulk tells Prime to stomp his foot. Prime then claps his hands and says he bet Hulk never thought of that one. Hulk says not for the last couple of weeks. Hulk leaps into the air, and is grabbed in the palm of a giant gamma monster that Wildeman has transformed into. Wildeman has Prime in one hand and Hulk in the other. They pull back Wildeman’s thumbs to get free, and then beat him down together. As Hulk talks to the police as they arrest Wildeman Prime leaves as his body is starting to melt. Hulk wonders what is happening to Prime.
Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #429- Hulk wraps his face in bandages as he prepares to go to work. Hulk says that the burn victim story is working, but then he notices that Betty isn’t really listening to him. Betty is watching a poor girl across the street getting hassled by their neighbor for picking in his trash. The neighbor pushes the girl just as a car is coming down the street. Hulk leaps and stops the car from running into the girl. The girl passes out. Later Hulk is holding up a car while Max welds. He tells Max all about the girl running away, losing her money, getting pregnant. He says that Betty drove her over to the center to lay out her options. Max says that one of the “options” has some people very upset. He says there is supposed to be a major demonstration tomorrow on the fifteenth. Hulk face drops as he realizes that “today” is the fifteenth. Hulk leaps towards the center face in bandages. Hulk lands. The building has been set on fire, and someone has shot the young girl that Hulk saved. Hulk grabs a protestor and demands to know who shot her. Sheriff Largo tells Hulk to put the man down. Hulk knows he should control himself but can’t. Hulk starts a fight with Largo. Hulk smacks Largo, and pauses to see the effect of his hit. As Largo lifts Hulk over his head he finds it had no effect. Hulk smacks Largo. He says that they were trying to help that girl, but Largo first persecuted his wife, and now him. Hulk starts shouting that “you never leave us alone.” Largo knocks Hulk off. Hulk runs because he can feel Savage Banner coming out. Largo’s deputy shoots Hulk in the arm from behind. Later after Betty gives her statement she comes home to find Savage Banner shouting “Hulk is bleeding…who did this...to Hulk?” Betty says she needs Bruce now, and he calms down and holds her. Later Hulk and Betty sit by a fire when someone knocks on the door. The man says that he was the girl’s father. He says that he knows who Hulk is and wants him to find his daughter’s killer, and put him down like a mad dog.
Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #430- Hulk explains to Mister Shappe that he isn’t going to kill his daughter’s murderer. Mister Shappe says that he just wants to show the man what kind of person his daughter Kate was. Mister Shappe grabs his head. He tells Hulk that he has stuff he takes for his headaches. Mister Shappe asks if Betty will be able to help. Betty calls Hulk from Largo’s office. She says that Largo was called away by Reverend Richards to talk about the shooting. Hulk and Mister Shappe get to Richards’ church first. Hulk gets right up in the kid’s face about his shooting the girl. The kid says that he was just trying to scare the doctor, but he wound up accidentally shooting her. The kid tries to say something about helpless babies when Mister Shappe interrupts that he shot and killed his helpless baby. The boy apologizes, but Mister Shappe punches the kid. Hulk steps in, but then Mister Shappe reveals that his daughter ran away when she learned that he was Speedfreek. Speedfreek says that he is going to kill the little cretin, and that Hulk and anyone else would do the same. Speedfreek says that he knows he would. Speedfreek says his daughter was the only thing he loved besides the drugs. Speedfreek says he forgives Betty for taking her to her death because she was trying to help her. Speedfreek charges the kid, but Hulk gets in the way. Speedfreek says that the kid is a murderer. Hulk says maybe so, but he won’t let him kill the kid in cold blood. Speedfreek tells the kid to run, and that he will deal with him as soon as he deals with his protector. Speedfreek grabs Hulk and rockets into the sky. They land in a park. Speedfreek slices Hulk across the stomach. Speedfreek leaves Hulk there to deal with the kid. Hulk holds his guts in as he heals, but then has to rip his hand out as his stomach healed around it. Speedfreek tears the top of Hulk’s friend Max’s truck to face the kid. Hulk knocks Speedfreek off with a pipe. Hulk wraps Speedfreek in a chain and slams him against the ground. Speedfreek cuts the chain. Hulk throws a battery at Speedfreek. Speedfreek slices through it, but is bathed in the acid. Speedfreek flies off screaming. The kid asks Hulk what he can do to repay him. Hulk says he can go to hell. Later, Hulk attends Kate’s funeral.
Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #431- Hulk and Betty play a game of chess as they discuss whether Hulk has to go deal with the Abomination who is in a confrontation with the NYPD in the sewers. Hulk says Abomination is his responsibility. Betty concedes, but gives Hulk a disguise…a fin. Hulk says that nobody will be fooled and just say, “Hey! It’s the Hulk with a fin on his head.” What is unknown to Hulk is that Abomination is just defending the homeless from a corrupt Police Commissioner Ferris, who has been ordered to clear the sewers for drug running. Hulk leaps hoping he won’t have to fight Emil this time. The Hulk arrives and says that he is there to help. Hulk walks with the police. One asks if Hulk is in Mister Christopher’s pocket too. Abomination is unimpressed with Hulk’s hat and coat disguise. Hulk tells Emil to let the woman go. Emil says that the woman is none of Hulk’s concern, and that if the police are there to do their job, then he will have to do his. Abomination leaps at Hulk. As they fight one of the homeless guys doubles back and steals a gun. When he fires at the police the police start to unload on him. Abomination runs to the scene saying that they were all supposed to get far away. Abomination arrives to find scores of his homeless friends dead or dying. Hulk tries to talk to Emil, but Emil hits him and grabs the cop that starting the shooting back. Abomination quickly kills the guy, and then turns his attention to the Hulk.
Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #432- Abomination tells Hulk that they all had to keep pushing, and now it’s too late for anything but death and destruction. Abomination releases steam into the tunnel. He hits Hulk in the face. He says that they both live in the darkness, but that Hulk denies it and Emil embraces it. Hulk catches a glimpse of Abomination and charges. Abomination wraps Hulk’s head in his cape. Abomination says that you get used to trusting your instinct down there. Abomination tells Hulk to leave him to finish this. Hulk hears in the distance as Emil tries to grab the other cop that was in charge. Hulk looks around and sees all the faces looking at him accusingly. Angel comes and tells Hulk to go stop the Abomination from destroying himself further. Hulk pounces on Emil. Emil tells Hulk that he is a fool. He says that with all humanity has done to him that he should be down there with him. Hulk says he isn’t ready to write off humanity. Abomination punches Hulk out through the roof, and into the daylight. Abomination says that they’ve written Hulk off. Abomination leaps up after him. Abomination says not to try that “play by the rules” stuff because Hulk just does as he feels and rationalizes it when it goes against the rules. Abomination says he pities Hulk because he is free, and Hulk is not. Abomination leaps onto a news helicopter, and the Hulk is forced to follow. Abomination kicks Hulk off. He looks right into the news camera and says, “whatever happens now, whatever I do, whoever I ally myself with to bring you all down…know this…you brought it on yourselves.” Hulk leaps back up to the copter. Emil says that if Hulk lets him kill the reporters he will go quietly, and that it will be nothing compared to what he will do in the future. Hulk saves the people. Hulk dives into the water to look for Emil, but he is of course gone.
Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #433- The Hulk is spotted by Punisher leaping over his head. Punisher figures that Fury must have sent Hulk after him. Punisher follows Hulk. Hulk meets with Angel. Angel informs Hulk that Wulf Christopher was responsible for getting the cops to clear out the homeless. Punisher overhears Angel telling Hulk where to find Mr. Christopher. Later Punisher walks through the ground floor of Christopher’s restaurant as Hulk just tears through his ceiling. Hulk throws away his desk and orders him to write a confession for the sewer incident. Christopher says that he knows that Hulk is now civilized and less impressive. One of his men tells Christopher that the Punisher is coming after him. Christopher tries to buy Hulk’s protection, but Hulk wonders why as he is so unimpressive. Hulk tells Christopher that he better hurry up writing that confession. Suddenly SHIELD is hovering above the hole Hulk made in the floor. Fury says that they are there for Punisher, and that they have no problem with him. Hulk leaps out the hole at their ships. Hulk says that the last time SHIELD kidnapped him from a hospital while he was helpless, and the time before that Fury was going to blow his head off. Hulk says that he has a problem with them. Hulk says that he has worked with Punisher before, and is more likely to trust him. Hulk tears apart the SHIELD ships and Punisher gets away.
Thor #488- Hela says she will return to Hel with her undead if Thor agrees to be her slave forever. Thor agrees and gets all present to agree not to come rescue him. They all disappear. Suddenly Hulk shows up and says that he will save Thor.
Thor #489- Hulk makes sure that this is the real Thor that was taken to hell, and not Red Norvell. The others say they would go after Thor, but as they gave Thor their word that they wouldn’t they don’t. Hulk says that if he had any sense he wouldn’t be volunteering either since he barely made it out of Hel last time. Hulk has Balder show him the correct way to get into Hel. Balder stays behind to fight Garm, Hela’s giant watchdog. Thor asks what Hulk is doing there. Hulk says he his taking Thor out of there, and that the promises of Sif and the others not to come get him doesn’t mean anything to him. Hela tells Thor to get rid of him. Hulk and Thor battle back and forth. Thor punches Hulk into Hela’s castle. Hulk says that if he wants to survive the battle better get serious, but the hopes that he doesn’t lose control and turn into Savage Banner. Thor and Hulk both reveal that they’ve been holding back, but Hulk worries again about becoming Banner. As the two fight they are tearing apart Hel. Hela says that she doesn’t like it, but figures Thor will win the fight in a few years because he is immortal and will never tire. Kurse brings Malekith back to Hel and offers to trade both himself and Malekith for Thor’s freedom. Hel accepts Malekith, but says Kurse’s bravery and nobility shouldn’t be rewarded with death. She releases Thor and Hulk saying that they would probably have torn apart Hel before they finished fighting. Hulk tells Thor that he is glad they both had the same idea to try and wreck as much of Hel as possible. Hulk and Thor knock out Garm together with one punch each. They return to Earth.
Shadow & Light #1- Hulk finds an old man that is stuck inside his head. The old man is paralyzed and lives vicariously through a type of virtual reality. He prefers realities with sunsets and nice things, but Hulk is trapped in his world, and the fighting ensues. Hulk enters the room. The old man says he doesn’t expect that a being of such limited intellect would understand his situation. Hulk taps the old man’s monitor and it returns to a pleasant scene. The old man says, “Oh that’s much better…thank you.” Hulk says, “Limited intellect.”
Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #434- Hulk sits around regretting that he did nothing to stop the Punisher, and that the Punisher wound up killing Nick Fury. Hulk says that he should have done something. Hulk calls home to Betty. She says that he should just come home. Hulk says that he couldn’t look her in the eye right now. Betty tries to make Hulk see that he couldn’t have known, with all his bad dealings with SHIELD, that he should have helped them this time. She says that she won’t stop loving him ever. Hulk sheds a tear. Betty says she is being selfish, but she just wants him home. Hulk says he will be home after and hangs up. Hulk goes to a big and tall clothes store and says he needs a suit for a funeral quickly. Hulk leaps to the funeral. He stands off hiding in the bushes. Hulk thinks about going down to pay his respects, but realizes that chaos would ensue. Suddenly the Vision phases his finger into the back of Hulk’s head. Hulk punches Vision, but Giant Man and Hercules then hit Hulk. Scarlet Witch gets up in Hulk’s face. Hulk says that at one time he was an Avenger and she was the outlaw. USAgent charges Hulk. Hulk swats him away, but he bounces off Nick’s casket. Dawn Fury and Contessa Valentina de la Fontaine tell them all to stop it out of decency. Clinton steps in and stops the fight. Hulk stays to see Fury buried.
War Machine #19- Hulk is seen in the background of a restaurant as “Danner, party of two” is called. Hulk tells Betty that that is their table.
Over the Edge #3- Hulk stands next to the broken down car and compliments Betty on her great idea. Hulk tells Betty to buckle her seatbelt as he picks the car up and leaps towards a mechanic. Bruce wraps himself in bandages before finishing “pushing” the car. The mechanic Goober says that the car will need to stay overnight there in Blackberry until he can get some parts from Mount Pilot. While Hulk talks to Goober Betty gets a warning from Floyd that something weird is happening and that they should get out of town. They dismiss it as ramblings. They both notice that their watches are stalled out at 2, as is the town clock. They ask an old woman what time it is, and she says that “it” is tonight. Betty doesn’t want anything to eat at Bea’s diner because Bea has scales on her face. Hulk still figures that he can handle anything weird going on. Betty sneaks out when she sees the steel mill working. Hulk, not in bandages, sits in front of an open window and a Toad Man sees that he is Hulk. Betty hears Andy and Barney discussing that night’s activities. Betty wakes Hulk up and says they have to get out of there. Hulk opens the door and sees Toad Men walking down the street. They blast Hulk back with the hemoglobin in Hulk’s blood, but Hulk gets free of the effect. Hulk pounds on the Toad Men until they withdraw to the mill. Hulk leaps into the mill, and sees all the magnetic equipment. Hulk gets caught between twin magno-generators and is stuck in a magnetic cage. Hulk breaks the cage. Hulk tells Betty that he wishes one of them was big enough to give him a good tussle. Hulk gets hit by a big Toad man. Hulk pastes him. Betty tells Hulk that the transporter to Toadworld is right there. Hulk pushes them all on, and then destroys the machine. The townspeople yell at Hulk because they wanted to go to Toadworld. The next day the car is fixed and they leave.
Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #435- Hulk, with his bandages on, and Betty walk along the outside of a baseball field. A ball hits Hulk in the head. Hulk tosses the ball back in, and says that going to Fury’s funeral was a mistake. He thinks maybe they should lie low. Betty asks where they are going to get the money. Suddenly the general manager of the Florida Pistols comes out and says he wants to test Hulk’s arm. Later Hulk is holding up a car for Max to work on. He tells Max that they clocked his fastball at 200 miles per hour. Bruce says he needs to find a uniform that fits. The next day they announce Bob Danner as their new player. Bruce applies makeup that turns his skin brown. He says that if the NAACP finds out he will be picketed, but Betty says it is easier to darken Hulk’s skin than lighten it. Hulk figures he’ll need gloves so he has to convince them that he can’t be a pitcher. Hulk shatters the head of a wooden catcher with his pitch. They move Hulk to right field. Hulk goes on to be a great ball player. Finally the Florida Pistols play the general manager’s brother’s team the Emperors. The Rhino is also pulling this stunt on the Emperors, and steps up to bat. He hits a ball headed for a home run, but Hulk leaps up and catches it. Later Hulk steps up to the plate. The pitcher hits him, and Hulk takes his base. The next hitter hits and Rhino knocks out the runner in front of Hulk. Hulk charges into Rhino and a fight starts. The bench clears, but quickly refills when they see “Danner” punch “O’Hirn” into the outfield. Hulk knocks Rhino out and “Danner” loses his job because the ballpark is ruined.
