Hulk chronology continued........
X-Man & Hulk '98- Bruce had arranged for
Rick to have his back checked out. Rick tries to empathize with
Bruce over losing a wife. Bruce tells Rick that Marlo came back.
Plus he thinks to himself that Rick wasn't responsible for her
death either. Bruce runs out and transforms. Hulk jumps from
Texas to Arizona. Hulk was being called to the Grand Canyon. He
thinks it is Betty, but it is another voice calling him. Hulk
smashes rock. And begins to destroy large portions of the canyon.
The destruction reveals a rock formation channeling energy. Hulk
sees a star speckled form. He leaps at it to make it stop
laughing, but he bounces off it. Thanos reveals himself to Hulk
and mocks him. Thanos makes a proposal to Hulk. Nate Gray
stumbles across the two of them. Thanos knocks him down in front
of Hulk. Hulk warns Nate. Nate hits Hulk in the back and hulk
starts blasting away on Nate's teke-shields. Only one had pierced
the shield before, by using Nate's own power, but after Hulk is
done there are two. Thanos offers Hulk immense power, but before
Hulk can touch Hulk's finger and claim the power Nate charges
back. Nate's psi-armor amplifies his punch, but Hulk takes it and
comes back. Nate warns Hulk that Thanos has ulterior motives
-that he wanted to take over Hulk's body. Hulk knew but figured
he could handle it. Thanos grabs Nate to use him instead. Thanos
sears the skin from Hulk's body. Hulk destroys the stone
arrangement, probably figuring it would force Thanos to go,
instead it freed Thanos. Nate sends his psi-armor which amplifies
Hulk's punches much more than it does Nate's. Nate reforms the
stonehedge type rocks, and Hulk punches him back into his prison.
Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #468-
The Hulk smashes away at the concrete walls. Hulk is locked
inside the old holding cell that Rick used to lock him into when
he was first created (how he managed to lock himself in I
don’t know). Later Bruce Banner sits crying on the ground.
Rick Jones comes to the old lab. He opens the door. Rick brings
Bruce some clothes and glasses. Rick says that what Bruce said to
him about what is truly important in life moved him. Bruce asks
if he and Marlo are working it out. Bruce says that he is
responsible for Betty’s death. Rick asks Bruce why he
believes that. Bruce says that it makes sense. Rick says that
Bruce is a scientist and should need proof. Bruce thinks and then
decides he needs to get back on the base.Rick says he has a plan
for that. Rick gets Bruce a false social security number and a
job as a janitor on the base. Bruce disguises himself. As he
works there he sees Katherine Spar who is trying to find out what
really killed Betty. Dr. Spar has a blood sample from every known
gamma irradiated person known to exist. She is going to compare
it with Betty’s blood to try and find what killed her. Bruce
overhears her plan. At four A.M. Bruce sits in the lab. He runs
his blood and Betty’s blood together. Bruce just finished
two hours of work that would have taken Dr. Spar weeks to do. The
match comes up negative. He didn’t kill Betty. The computer
does come up with a positive match: sample 006. Banner starts to
freak out as he picks up the vial to read who 006 was, who killed
Betty. Bruce hulks out and snaps the vial in his hands. Suddenly
soldiers enter the room. Hulk wrecks the place, beats up the
soldiers and leaps off. The 006 vial lays on the ground with the
name Blonsky on it.
Hulk #1/2- flashback- Bruce
washes up in tunnel of love with stagnant water. He sits thinking
about Betty. An explosion later and Bruce turns into the Hulk.
Hulk #1/2- The Mecha-Rhino
enters the tunnel. Hulk smashes it and sees that it is the Rhino
underneath. Rhino punches Hulk out of the tunnel. Hulk tries to
throw the ferris wheel, but Rhino charges into Hulk. Rhino says
that the Hulk has a new enemy with money. Hulk rips the armor off
Rhino. Rhino picks Hulk up and throws him into the roller
coaster. Hulk knocks Rhino out with a steel girder, and then
saves some kids from the roller coaster. Devlin D’Angelo
watches as the Hulk leaps away.
Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #469-
At the bus terminal Bruce excuses himself to the bathroom to get
away from a kid playing with Captain America and Iron Man action
figures. After he washes his face Bruce exits to find the entire
terminal gassed. The guy doing the gassing says this is a big
disaster, but Bruce is unconscious in a few seconds…no
transformation. Later one of the guys wakes Banner up because his
presence is required. Bruce memorizes the hallways as they walk
him towards his destination. Bruce meets Devlin D’Angelo.
Devlin says they found him with a gamma tracer his boys cooked up
(like there was no gamma tracers before). Devlin tells Bruce that
he provides equipment to supervillains. He says that he has
connections to find Betty’s real killer. In exchange he
wants Bruce to do some work for him on the Super Adaptoid. Bruce
accepts. He retrieves the master disk and realizes that this is
what allows the Adaptoid to mimic, and what the Adaptoid’s
objectives are. Bruce finishes his work. Devlin admits he lied
about knowing Betty’s killers, and then threatens
Bruce’s life if he doesn’t continue working. Bruce
finishes programming the Adaptoid. They take him to his cell.
Banner pulls apart his bed, waits until the middle of the night,
and shorts out his cell door. Banner drives a truck through the
wall. The Super Adaptoid comes after him. Bruce wonders what he
did wrong. Adaptoid is blasting at the truck, but Bruce keeps
dodging. Bruce hulks out and rips the roof of the truck’s
cab off. Adaptoid destroys the truck. Hulk leaps at Adaptoid.
They fight until Banner’s programming finally kicks in.
Adaptoid leaves and crashes into Devlin’s office. Later the
Ringmaster comes across Bruce. Ringmaster hypnotizes Bruce into
going to Las Vegas to look for Betty’s killer under the big
top.
Avengers vol. 3 #10- Bruce watches a parade for
the Avengers on a television set in a store window. Bruce thinks
how if there was one good thing about the Hulk it’s that he
helped form the Avengers. He thinks how he has to go find out who
killed Betty.
Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #470- flashback- Bruce
checks into the Big Top casino. Gray thoughts sneak into his
mind, but Bruce pushes them out. Bruce calls Suzy, Marlo’s
old roommate. Coincidentally Marlo is there. Bruce meets with
Marlo and asks why she isn’t with Rick. Marlo says that
their life had too many things in the way. She came to remind
herself that she had a life before Rick. Bruce says he felt
compelled to come there to find Betty’s killer. Bruce says
that he has no options now, but Marlo and Rick only need to talk
things over. Marlo says she has gotten involved with some old
friends and said she would help them with something. Bruce says
that Marlo is above that sort of thing, and that he will take
care of it. Later Bruce meets with the two goons that Marlo was
supposed to meet. They say that Bruce is taking Marlo’s
place as their patsy (I guess Bruce was hypnotized to agree with
them since it makes not one iota of sense otherwise). Two hours
later the goons are telling Bruce they’re going to kill him,
and still no transformation. Suddenly the count room they are
robbing is busted into by the Circus of Crime. A fight breaks out
between them. Bruce is hit in the shoulder. Bruce hulks out. He
smashes Marlo’s goon friend’s heads together. He fights
the Circus of Crime. Just when Hulk has the Clown’s head in
his hand Hulk is smothered by Princess Python’s snake.
Instead of killing the snake with absolutely no thought at all
(like he usually does) Hulk decides instead to lose.
Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #471-
Dr. Katherine Spar and Marlo meet. They find out that the Big Top
casino is taking bets on Hulk scenarios because someone has the
Hulk captured. Marlo knows the guy at Big Top so they get access
to the back corridors. They find Bruce chained, caged, and
drugged. Dr. Spar injects Bruce with adrenaline. They run for it,
but Bruce calls out to Marlo because he doesn’t want to be
alone. Bruce hulks out. Hulk starts fighting the Circus of Crime
again. Clown tries to run away on a motorcycle after Hulk trashes
the others. Hulk chases him and trashes the Circus. Clown tries
to shoot Hulk (who cares?), but is out of bullets. Hulk knocks
him out and leaves. Later Bruce lays in the desert after the
hypnosis wears off. Bruce prepares to die, and then sees
Amphibian from Tales to Astonish 73(?) and Hulk 269 and 270.
Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #472-
Amphibian introduces himself as Q’Nax. Despite the fact that
in the two times Q’Nax has seen the Hulk once was as Banner,
Q’Nax seems confused if Bruce is really the Hulk (but
knowledge of chronology isn’t necessary Joe). He says he
comes in peace and needs his help. Q’Nax gets Bruce out of
range of the Gamma Tracker when Bruce takes him to Rome Italy
into the Leader’s underground hideout. Q’Nax explains
that his whole life was engineered to be his people’s
champion. When he lost to Hulk he was shipped back to Xantares
where he was banished for questioning the council. Q’Nax
believes that the Ultimate Machine can help his people and
re-unite him with his family (he didn’t remember this during
270 though, but knowledge of chronology isn’t necessary
Joe). Bruce decides to help. Bruce and Q’Nax get the
Leader’s machine working again. Bruce recalls that the
Hulk’s body was needed to se sent through the machine. Bruce
powers up into the Professor incarnation. Hulk goes first.
Q’Nax follows but he arrives at the location three days
after Hulk. All he sees is destruction. Hulk has gone savage and
has been terrorizing some amorphous aliens. Q’Nax hold Hulk
until he turns into Bruce. Bruce apologizes to the noodle people.
The noodle people say that the Watcher’s world has a barrier
and that they were shunted there. The noodle guy says
Watcher’s world has been giving their dreamless society
nightmares. They have a ship ready to make the trip to
Watcher’s world.
Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #473-
Bruce and Q’Nax make the trip into Watcher’s World.
Their minds are inundated with images of Galactus eating the
world they are on, then they see themselves in the middle of the
Kree/Skrull war, and finally they see the Avengers confronting
the Hulk. Bruce realizes they are only images. Their ship crashes
into a body of water and they have to swim to shore. They
don’t see anyone around. Coincidentally enough the Watcher
returns for solitude, but instead finds Bruce and Q’Nax. The
Watcher says he took a Watcher wife and that she died from
radiation. Q’Nax tells Watcher they are there to avoid their
own tragedies. After hearing Q’Nax’s plea Bruce says
that his wife is dead too, and he wants to know who killed her.
Watcher reads Bruce’s soul to understand what he means.
Bruce drops to his knees from the experience. Watcher shows them
the Ultimate Machine. Bruce holds the Ultimate Machine and
isn’t sure he wants to use it. Q’Nax sees that the
noodle men are attacking Watcher’s world.
Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #474- Bruce
drops the Ultimate Machine as he ducks for cover. Bruce powers up
into the Professor and fights back. Q’Nax calls out to
Bruce. He has hold of “Rackat” who is answering his
master’s call. The Rackat’s master has the Ultimate
Machine. Hulk grabs hold too, and both are pulled through the
portal as the Rackat runs into it. They emerge from an unreality
to see Watcher holding the Ultimate Machine. Watcher dissolves
the ball, and then says that the giant machine behind him is the
true Ultimate Machine. Bruce turns human again. Bruce watches
Q’Nax walk in. Bruce tells Watcher that in addition to
knowing who killed Betty he wants to know why all this, changing
into the Hulk on, had to happen to him and Betty. Bruce walks
into the machine. A young Bruce Banner sits on a grassy hillside
with some kid named Jimmy talking about life in the Drake house.
Suddenly the boy sees a dumpster and asks Bruce if he recognizes
it. Bruce isn’t sure. Suddenly Edgar the Grump (an Oscar the
Grouch) knock off jumps up. He says he hates everything
especially Bruce. Edgar pounces on Bruce and starts choking him.
Edgar says that an act of murder doesn’t absolve Bruce of
his guilt. Young Bruce turns into a boy Hulk. Edgar hits Hulk and
says that acting tough, or finding the killer, won’t change
the fact that Betty is dead. Boy Hulk rips apart Edgar right
after Edgar points out that Hulk always wanted to be left
alone…and now he is. Boy Hulk sees a gamma bomb and runs to
try and stop it, but the bomb explodes. Bruce finds himself back
with Q’Nax. Q’Nax says he sees that his rulers only
crave power, not peace, and that the Ultimate Machine won’t
help him. The noodles are still attacking. Watcher sees he has
done wrong against the noodles. He sets it right and returns
everyone to their planets. As Hulk is back on Earth he hears
Abomination confessing to Ross about his murdering Betty. Hulk
decks Emil. Hulk says he is going to kill him, but then Hulk sees
Ross holding two guns (that he says might be something special)
on both of them. Ross tells Hulk to leave the Lizard Man alone.
Abomination tells Ross that he is no longer needed and that he or
Hulk will have their retribution. Hulk says he doesn’t think
so and that he isn’t going to play Emil’s game tonight.
Hulk points out that there are tanks all around him. For some
reason this holds weight with Abomination and he leaps away. Ross
says that Abomination killed Betty so Bruce is off the hook.
Professor powers down and says the fact that Emil did it
doesn’t absolve him at all. Bruce says from the time he
drove out onto the gamma bombsite he has been at fault. He says
that he correctly diagnosed Betty with long term radiation
exposure, and that Emil killing her doesn’t get him clear of
that. Ross decides not to use the gun he has aimed at
Bruce’s chest to kill him because Betty loved him. Later
Bruce is having breakfast with Dr. Spar. She says she quit the
Gamma Base, Bruce says that is the smartest thing she could have
done.

Contest of Champions II #1- Hulk and a bunch of
other heroes are kidnapped by the Coterie. They are portrayed as
gamemasters. The Emperiatrix monitors the gathered heroes who are
in bliss because of the nanites that allow the heroes to be
controlled. Hulk's greatest wish apparently is nothing except to
be alone.
Contest of Champions II #2- In his first match
up Hulk faces Mr. Fantastic. Under Claremont's tutelage the
Fantastic Four's powers seem to be greatly enhanced because in
earlier fights when Hulk stretched Fantastic it was a strain for
Reed, but this time Reed simply smothers Hulk's entire body. Hulk
then draws a breath and sucks Fantastic into his lungs. Too
compressed to move, and without any oxygen Reed passes out. Hulk
spits Mr. Fantastic onto the floor.
Contest of Champions II #4- Hulk fights
Deadpool in his next round. Hulk breaks a big hole in the ground.
Deadpool falls to the bottom. Hulk jumps on Deadpool. End of
fight. Hulk stands in the winner's circle with Thor, Captain
America, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, Jean Grey, Gambit…, and
Rogue (who has been possessed by one of the Coterie who is really
the Brood Mother.)
Contest of Champions II #5- "Rogue"
touches Hulk and all the other winners and knocks them out as she
possesses their powers. When Psylocke disrupts the Brood Queen's
control Hulk is freed. Oh by the way the good guys win.

Wolverine #144- Hulk stands in the forrest
while phony Wolverine/skrull jumps out of a plane to fight him.

is actually a skrull.

Galactus the Devourer #2- Hulk watches a
television report on Galactus, and responds with "Galactus?
Bah!"
Wolverine #145- Wolverine, now Apocalypse's
Death, tracks the Hulk for his master. He follows the huge trail
of destruction in his wake. Wolverine kicks and stabs Hulk. Hulk
hits back twice. Wolverine jumps over Hulk and slashes down his
back. Wolverine keeps slashing with his sword, but Hulk grabs the
sword and pulls Wolverine in. Hulk bearhugs Wolverine. Wolverine
headbutts Hulk and for some unknown reason this causes Hulk to
let go. Hulk finally recognizes Wolverine in his
"Death" wardrobe. Hulk crushes Wolverine with a giant
rock. Wolverine comes through the rock with claws extended. Hulk
pounces and Wolverine's claws go through Hulk's hands, but all
this does is enrage Hulk. Hulk pounds on Wolverine and bashes him
into a tree. Wolverine's now limp arm slices Hulk throat. For
some unknown reason this really stymies the Hulk. Wolverine
slashes at Hulk, but he hesitates for a minute regaining his
senses from Apocalypse. Hulk uses the moment to grab Wolverine's
neck and smash his face into the ground. Hulk walks away from an
unconscious Wolverine.

Black Panther #17- flashback- Hulk came to New
York because of a transmitter on his back. He was wrecking
Panther's warehouses when Everett K. Ross dislodges the device as
he falls on Hulk.
Black Panther #15- flashback- Hulk towers over
Everett K. Ross. Hulk smashes the ground and Everett runs. Hulk
leaps after him and grabs his head. Black Panther leaps of a
rooftop. Hulk drops Everett as Panther leaps onto Hulk's back.
Hulk knocks Panther away. Panther throws some object at Hulk. The
objects hits Hulk's chest as Hulk lifts a car over his head.
Chante Giovanni Brown gets in Hulk's face. When Hulk calls her
"girl" she tells him that his mother is a girl. Hulk
explains he has no mother. She tells him that the poor minorities
have enough trouble in life without Hulk ruining their cars. She
comvinces Hulk to throw a cop car instead. Panther blocks the car
with his vibranium boots. Chante jumps on Hulk's shoulders and
goes with him as he leaps off.
Black Panther #17- flashback- Hulk sits with
Chante eating about 30 chili burgers as Chante talks. Chante
takes Hulk to a club. Hulk destroys the metal detector as he
walks through it. Hulk dances as Panther comes into the club.
T'Challa manaes to convince Chante to get the Hulk out of there
before somebody calls the cops, and they wind up destroying the
place. Chante kisses Hulk on the cheek and gets onto a bus. Hulk
aparently followed her though. It was after this that Nicole
tripped over the broken metal detector that got her into the
hospital.
Black Panther #17- Hulk sits with Chante in the
hospital waiting room reading comics. Hulk comes to the hospital
room of Nicole when Hulk hears his name mentioned as Chante talks
to her.
Peter Parker, Spider-Man #14- Spider-Man
concerned over his wife's disappearance throws himself into a
fight with the Hulk. Spider-Man still wants to bust Hulk for the
deaths in the airplane he doesn't care if Fury cleared him. On
top of a building Spidey uses his sticking powers to pull the
Hulk backwards into a wall. Spidey boxes Hulk's ears. Hulk
destroys the wall shouting that that hurt. Spidey keeps hitting
and dodging until Hulk finally reaches out and grabs Spidey's
entire chest in his palm. Hulk shouts to leave him alone as he
pushes Spidey into a wall. Hulk takes Spidey off the wall, and
Spidey back flips out of Hulk's hand. Spidey webs Hulk's eyes.
Hulk instinctively backhands Spidey off the building into a Daily
Bugle newspaper machine. The headline reads "Super-Model
Feared Dead". Spidey freaks and jumps back up at Hulk. Now
on railroad tracks Hulk pulls the tracks up and throws them at
Spidey. Spidey starts shouting that his wife is not dead and
keeps punching Hulk until his suit's gloves are worn away.
Unfazed by the punches Hulk says that his wife is dead too, and
that he is sorry for "Bug-Man". Spidey comes back to
his senses when he sees a train coming. Hulk helps Spidey fix the
tracks, but leaps away before Spider-Man can thank him.
Hulk #11- Bruce is seen hitchiking towards
Virginia.

Incredible Hulk vol. 3 #20- Hulk sits thinking
about all the incarnations. For the most part they are afraid and
want the security of the cave, but inside his mind Bruce Banner
finds that the chains that held Devil Hulk are now broken and
vacant.

Sentry #3- Sentry walks up
behind the Hulk. Hulk tells whoever it is to go away. Hulk turns
around with a scowl but then is happy to see that it is
“Golden Man”. Sentry asks Bruce what happened to him.
Sentry says that Hulk should have evolved by now. Hulk says that
he is not Bruce, but then looks down and says that he is Bruce.
Hulk says that he forgot, and that he doesn’t think to well.
“Golden Man” says that Hulk thinks just fine, and that
he is the only one who remembers him. Hulk says that he is happy
because Golden Man is his best amigo. Sentry picks a piece of
earth and forms a special rock. He says that he is sure there is
a conspiracy to make people forget him. He gives the stone to
Hulk, and says that it is important for him to keep remembering.
Hulk asks Sentry why he came back after so long. Sentry says that
the Void is coming back. Hulk says, “Shadow Man is coming
back?” Sentry says that he knows Hulk is scared, but asks if
he can count on him. Hulk says he will be brave for Golden Man.
Sentry tells him as he goes that he feels that it will be worse
than ever this time.
Sentry #5- Sentry appears on
television to tell everyone that the vortex that is spinning
clockwise in the ocean is the return of the Void. Sentry has
remembered that he was accused to taking bribes to pay for his
addictions. He believes that Reed Richards is responsible for the
conspiracy. Now on television Sentry asks all the heroes that
despite what they think of him they should all join together in
New York to present a united front against the Void. Later the
Hulk stands alone with the Sentry by the Statue of Liberty.
“Where is puny heroes?” Hulk asks. Hulk says that he is
being brave for Golden Man, but he is afraid and doesn’t
want to fight Shadow Man alone. Sentry promises that the others
will show. The other heroes start to show up in a flood. Billy
Turner, Sentry’s old sidekick arrives as well. Finally Reed
shows up. Sentry says that Reed betrayed him. Reed says that he
didn’t, and wouldn’t know why he would if he had. The
heroes wait for the Void to show up. The ball that Sentry gave
Hulk floats around his head. Sentry worries to himself that he
might not actually be a hero.
Sentry/Spider-Man-
Sentry/X-Men- Sentry/Fantastic Four- Hulk stands beside the
Sentry and the other heroes on Liberty Island as the Void makes
his way to the coastline.
Sentry/Hulk- The Hulk stands
with Sentry for the first time admitting to himself that he is
afraid. Hulk can hear the Void inside his head saying, “Get
ready Frankenstein because I’m coming for you…always
for you.” Hulk can hear Void laugh at him in his head.
Sentry vs. Void- The Void
finally arrives and goes straight at the Hulk. The ball of
Sentry’s energy that the Hulk has keeps him alive as Void
starts to wrench Hulk’s soul like clay in the hands of a
small child. Sentry realizes that he should have let Hulk stay
away- that he never stood a chance. It reminds Sentry of the time
his father ran over a racoon. The racoon doesn’t die, but he
just doesn’t have the heart to put it out of its misery. The
final mystery of the Sentry/Void is lifted and Reed remembers
that Sentry is the Void, and that everyone forgot him because
Reed and Senty planned it that way. Sentry recalls that he is the
Void, and they have to go re-install the virus to make the world
forget him again.
Maximum Security #3- While
the heroes are up in space fighting with the Ruul. Bruce Banner
remains on Earth with Reed Richards and Iron Man trying to get
together a machine that will stop Ego from devouring /becoming
the planet. Gambit shows up with a disk that contains the method
with which Ego was sent and kept on Earth. The Avengers Infinity
team appears before the Council. Moondragon flashes into all
their minds how the Supreme Intelligence used the Forever Crystal
to evolve the Kree into the Ruul, and how he sent Ego to Earth.
The Council is stunned. Supreme Intelligence’s image appears
laughing as he explains how he has done it, and that the Kree
have already taken back several Kree worlds and soon will rule
the universe. Back on Earth Bruce and the others get the machine
working, but in order to get Ego off Earth they must project him
into a host body. The Surfer volunteers. Suddenly Ronan arrives
fueled by the power of Ego. All the heroes return from space to
fight Ronan. Bruce and the others try the machine with Surfer. As
it works Ronan gets weaker, but Surfer cannot contain the power.
Quasar volunteers for the job. This time the process starts to
work. Ronan knows he has to stop the machine to keep Ego’s
power. Bruce warns Ronan to keep back as he starts to turn green.
Ronan quickly blasts Bruce unconscious before he can transform.
Quasar absorbs all the power and Ronan is left powerless. USAgent
knocks him out. The alien convicts are sent off the Earth.

the scenes- The Hulk is added to the Avengers’ new global
and beyond status board that tracks threats. It says that
Hulk’s last known whereabouts was Virginia.
Avengers vol. 3 #39- Bruce
Banner sits watching a television news report. The Avengers are
fighting an entire nation of hulks in Kalkhimithia. Angela tells
Bruce to stay calm and tells him that this isn’t his fault.
Bruce says that he isn’t the one who destroyed that
commercial flight, but that he still got the blame. He says that
he will be blamed for this, and that he isn’t sure this
isn’t his fault.
Avengers vol. 3 #40- As the
Avengers fight the giant gamma beast in Kalkhimithia they get a
call from Doc Samson and Bruce Banner. Samson wants to make sure
that they know that Bruce is with them, and that this wasn’t
Bruce’s fault. Bruce says that he wants to help them defeat
the monster. Quicksilver runs across the ocean to go get Bruce
Banner. Quicksilver gets Banner over to Kalkhimithia. Banner
talks with Hank Pym and says that maybe they could revert the
creature with his old gamma electrodes or a cathexis ray. Pym
says that they don’t have the time or the equipment. Pym
points out that normally each mutation is unique, but that
everyone in Kalkhimithia became a hulk. Pym thinks that it is
Bruce’s transformation that was forced on them. Pym has
Bruce transform into the Professor. Warbird and Iron Man fly Hulk
up to the beast’s head and throw him on. Hulk says that it
is a switch for him to be the bug getting swatted. From the
ground Scarlet Witch casts a spell that she has been working on
for a few minutes. Hulk phases into the monster’s head. Hulk
has so many voices in his head. He transforms from Professor into
Mr. Fixit, and eventually into the Savage Hulk. Eventually Hulk
takes over the communal mind and forces the people of
Kalkhimithia to return to normal. After the Avengers learn
Diablo’s plan Bruce asks the Avengers what they are going to
do about him. Wasp says that she thinks the world will be better
if Bruce tries to work out his own cure. She adds that it might
be a good idea to set up some kind of communication so they can
make sure he is okay.

X-Men Unlimited #32- Bruce
Banner is sitting in a bar. The people inside are trying to
decide what to put on the television. Bruce asks if they could
put on VM-1 because “Behind the Music” is doing a show
on Dazzler that he would like to see. The guy sitting next to
Bruce starts poking him in the chest saying he has a lot of
nerve. Bruce hulks out. Hulk shouts that he wants to watch the
pretty shiny lady on TV, and that if he doesn’t get to he is
going to smash. The bartender quickly changes the channel to
VM-1. He asks Hulk if he can get him anything to drink. Hulk says
that he will have a lemonade. Hulk says that he can’t watch
at home because his television was broken in a fight with the
Abomination. Hulk says that he hates the Abomination. At some
point in the program, Hulk comes back from the bathroom and asks
what he missed. The guy rattles off a laundry list of items.
After a prolonged silence Hulk tells the bartender that he used
to have his own show too once. After the portion where Dazzler is
reunited with her mother Hulk wipes a tear from his eye and says
that he has something in his eye. The bartender starts talking to
Hulk during one part, but Hulk tells him to be quiet. As the show
winds to a close the bartender says that Rick Jones: Behind the
Music is on next and asks if Hulk is going to hang around for it.
Hulk tells the bartender to be quiet again.
Fantastic Four: The
World’s Greatest Comic Magazine #5- Dr. Doom uses the Cosmic
Cube to power a Hulk robot and sends it out against the Fantastic
Four. The robotic Hulk leads the Thing, Mister Fantastic, and
Human Torch to a warehouse where the real Hulk is. The Thing has
been fighting the robotic Hulk for a while and is calling Hulk
out. Hulk wants to know what Thing’s problem is. Hulk lifts
a tractor into the air to smash Thing with. Human Torch comes
along and blasts the tractor out of Hulk’s hands. Reed
discovers the giant footprints leading away. Reed suspects two
Hulks and sends Torch out after the other one. Reed remains
behind to help Thing. Hulk throws Thing into Reed. Reed
wasn’t prepared and has the wind knocked out of him. Thing
dives back into Hulk. A machine flies along as Hulk has Thing in
a bearhug. Thing boxes Hulk’s ears. While Thing is still
reeling the machine blasts Hulk in the back of the head. Hulk
reels and starts to change back into Banner. Thing thinks it was
his blow that did it, and Thing lays into the dazed Hulk with a
punch. Hulk goes down. Bruce lies on the ground. Thing helps
Bruce up and says that they’ll get him back to the Baxter
Building.
Hulk Smash #1- Hulk fights
the army. He throws a tank and chases soldiers as they shoot at
him. Hulk grabs another tank and smashes it together with another
tank. Hulk shouts at the soldiers that they never learn as they
continue shooting at him. Hulk smashes the ground and knocks the
soldiers over. Hulk sees jets overhead. He grabs the wreckage of
a tank and hits one with it. Another is ruined by the wreckage.
One doubles back around. Hulk shouts that they should face Hulk.
The one remaining jet drops napalm on Hulk. Hulk leaps out of the
napalm onto the jet. Hulk rips the cabin open, and the pilot
ejects. Hulk crashes with the plane, but he gets up and shouts
out that he is still alive.
Hulk Smash #2- Hulk says that
he will smash. He jumps towards some soldiers that are taunting
him. They drop a big rock on him, and Hulk punches it away. Hulk
fights them some more. The army guy that ran from Hulk like a
sissy stands to face Hulk. Hulk realizes that the guy is standing
up to him because of his duty to defend the men. Hulk decides to
let them live because we all KNOW how much he respects the
army…sigh. What a waste of paper.
Sentry/Hulk- flashback-
behind the scenes- Hulk and Sentry defeat Leader
Sentry/Spider-Man- flashback-
The entire sky fills a dark black. The Hulk screams in pain.
After that the Sentry went missing. And then nobody could
remember him.
