Hulk chronology continues....

Marvel Team Up annual #2- Bruce Banner is working as a waiter in a bar in Castle Rock, Montana where a fight is occurring. One of the rowdies punches Bruce in the stomach. Bruce falls outside. He is about to change into the Hulk when a man with a cowboy hat and an eyepatch shoots him with a tranquilizer. Bruce wakes the next morning. He recognizes his "host" as Alexei Vazhin, a colonel in the KGB. Vazhin wants Banner's help, but Banner says he won't betray his country. Vazhin says he needs Banner to help him save both his and Banner's countries, as well as the world. Vazhin gives Bruce a change of clothes. Vazhin tells Banner about Kutzov, a former KGB agent, who used his former contacts to trick Darkstar, Vanguard, and Crimson Dynamo into making them think that the state wanted Daniel Ironwood captured. Kutzov is going to get Ironwood to make him an anti-matter bomb (which if used could destroy the entire continent of North America. As Spider-Man is also on the trail Banner rides a horse with Vazhin. Kutzov sends Dynamo, Vanguard, and Darkstar after Vazhin and Banner after seeing them on a monitor. Dynamo blasts, and causes Bruce to hulk out. Hulk's horse bucks him. Hulk rips apart the cliff Dynamo, Vanguard, and Darkstar were standing on. Hulk gets ready to smash Dynamo when Vanguard hits him. Darkstar encases Hulk in Darkforce, but Hulk does the impossible and breaks free of it. Hulk tries to hit Vanguard, but Vanguard blocks with his hammer and sickle, which redirects Hulk power back at him. Hulk gets up to fight. Hulk tries to leap at him, but is again repulsed. Hulk hits the ground. Spider-Man helps Hulk fight. After a while Hulk is so mad that when he strikes Vanguard the feedback is so powerful that it splits open the face of the mountain they are on. After the avalanche Spidey finds Banner. Banner weakly warns Spider-Man of the anti-matter bomb destroying the world. Spidey picks him up and goes. Spidey and Banner find Ironwood and Kutzov. Kutzov activates the bomb- when the spheres touch the world will be destroyed. Bruce can't change into Hulk so Spidey yells at him and gives him a smack. Bruce hulks out. Spidey goads Hulk into proving he is the strongest one there is by holding the spheres apart. Hulk does it. Spidey tells Hulk to hit one of the spheres as hard as he can. Hulk hits it into space where the two explode hurting nothing. Hulk turns back into Banner. Vazhin shoots and kills Ironwood. Bruce says it doesn't matter because the bombs are going to keep getting bigger anyway.

Defenders #119-flashback- Hulk pounds on the force shield of a woman who is in possession of Yandroth's mind. When Hulk starts to buckle her shield she nullifies Hulk's gravity. In the air she restores it and Hulk crashes back to earth. She figures Hulk is out, but it only made him madder. She hits Hulk with an implant that allows her to control Hulk's mind. They teleport away together. Yandroth and Hulk wait for the other Defenders inside their base. Yandroth takes control of Nighthawk, Valkyrie, and Hellcat. Hulk knocks on Strange's door. Strange opens it, but realizes too late that something is off. Hulk punches Strange out before Strange can erect a shield. Yandroth takes possession of Clea. She gives Strange drugs that keep him awake, but unable to move or speak. Strange calls Namor astrally. Hulk is forced to fight, but is sluggish under mind control. Namor lifts Hulk, but is taken control of. Strange frees Hulk and Val. Yandroth has the others attack them. Hulk and Namor fight until Strange starts to free minds. Yandroth can't handle seven at once. Yandroth frees himself from the woman's mind leaving her brain dead.

Defenders #69- Hulk sits in Strange's house because Strange called him with a promise of something to smash. Strange has found that the Omegatron still contains power. Strange finds the man who is, unknowingly, charging it up. Each time the man is hit the Omegatron charges higher. Strange sends the Defenders while he guides them through the Eye of Agamotto. Nighthawk tries to tell the guy that his newfound power can't be used again. Jeff tells him that his power makes him the strongest guy around. Hulk says he is strongest and if Jeff doesn't listen he will smash. Jeff calls Hulk out, but the others stop Hulk. Hulk says he was promised a fight. The "Anything Man" decides this must be an audition. He defeats Hellcat, Nighthawk, Valkyrie, and even Aragon. Hulk says he has had enough. He throws a rock at Anything Man and almost completely charges the Omegatron. Strange sends his astral form and transforms Hulk into Banner so he doesn't end the world by continuing to fight. Nighthawk tricks Anything Man, and makes him want to give up the power. Strange does so. Banner says he doesn't understand any of this.

Defenders #70- Dr. Strange and Bruce wave goodbye to the other Defenders and go inside Strange's house to discuss something. Later that evening after Strange explains "the nature of the doom that threatens us" he asks Bruce if Hulk will help. Banner says Strange knows Hulk better than he does, but that he will allow Strange to transform him. Strange does and Hulk wonders why he is there. Hulk then realizes he is in Magician's house, and he is only brought there when they want his help. Hulk agrees and he and Strange go on a quest for knowledge.

Defenders #71- The Defenders are played into taking Lunatik to some dimension. Nighthawk flies around and spots an old man and a purple monster, but when he descends they are gone. Later when Lunatik reveals his turncoat colors the old man says to the purple beast that he won't stop him from helping the Defenders though it destroys his plans. The purple beast leaps, but when it crashes through three of the enemies it is revealed that the old man and purple beast were really Dr. Strange and Hulk. Hulk defeats the Nilffim, on flying birds, who apparently are fragments of Arisen Tyrk, like the Lunatiks are. Strange notices that the four Lunatiks are missing along with Hellcat and Val. Strange says this dimension is the focus of a dark evil force.

Defenders #72- Strange alters the flying birds to obey them instead of the Nilffim. The use the birds to find the Lunatiks, Val, and Hellcat. Hulk leaps from the bird and defeats the Lunatiks. Strange says he knows the Lunatiks work for the 'unnamable foe". To say its name is to become its slave. The Defenders fly to find Xhoohx (I kid you not) this world's magician who will help secure Arisen Tyrk, and help them get back to Earth . They run into a bunch of opposition. Hulk defeats a many tentacled purple monster. They fly so high they escape the world's gravity. Hulk likes floating around while they plan. They land on the Earth to camp for the night.

Defenders #73- As they get close to…sigh…Xhoohx Hulk has to beat up a bunch of white furred, multi-armed, multi-eyed monsters. They make it to and into Xhoohx's house. They meet Xhoohx, he is one of those white furry things. They reform Arisen Tyrk. Arisen strikes Strange and Xhoohx. Hulk tries to prove he is mightier, but is pushed down by Arisen. Arisen goes to fight the Unnamed One. The Hulk and the others decide to get smacked around more by Arisen. Val pushes Arisen into a ring formed by Strange, Xhoohx, and Clea imprisoning him. Xhoohx sends them home. Strange goes to prepare to fight the Unnamed. Nighthawk goes to his lawyer. The women listen to music, and Hulk goes outside where it is quiet. Hulk wonders why he is a Defender and why it hurts to be alone.

Defenders #74- Hulk is walking around the Riding Academy enjoying himself. Hulk is trying to decide if he wants friends because they always go away or die. Hulk sees two kids trying to take a horse to play a practical joke with. Hulk tells tehm to leave or he will smash. The boys run right into Hellcat. Hellcat yells for Hulk to come out, but Hulk isn't done being alone so he leaps away. Hulk is sitting on train tracks when a train approaches. The train stops in time, but Hulk is already ranting about there being too many puny humans. He throws the train engine. People start running. Hulk wrecks a train station awning and then rips up the tracks. The people start cheering Hulk for abusing the lousy service of the railroad. Hulk thinks the people are crazy and leaps away.

Defenders #75- Hulk finds a nice secluded beach to think. He likes his friends, but doesn't understand them. Hulk sees a whale on the beach. Hulk tells the whale to get back in the water because he wants to be alone. Hulk realizes the whale is only strong in the water. Hulk looks right into one of the whale's eyes and says, "Stupid whale! You are big like Hulk, but Hulk is strong everywhere he goes!" Hulk apologizes to the whale when he sees his angry face in the whale's eye. Hulk pulls the whale back into the water. The whale blows water into the air. Hulk decides he wants to be with his friends now. Hulk leaps. Hulk returns to Defenders base to find police and fireman around. Hulk figures they are harassing his friends. Hulk throws a police car. Val tells hulk to calm down. She tells Hulk that there might not be any Defenders anymore. Hulk says bah, and says he always thought the group was a stupid idea. Hulk leaps away.

Defenders #76- Hulk is leaping away from the Defenders saying that once again he is alone. A voice tells Hulk that he will never be alone because its master is always with him. Hulk sees a large silver glob. The glob says that he has come to study Hulk to see if he is worthy to serve its master. Hulk says he isn't interested in serving anyone. He hits the glob, but the glob isn't hurt and Hulk bounces off it.

Defenders #77- Hulk keeps trying to fight the glob. He grabs the glob, but the glob pulls Hulk inside itself. Hulk transforms into Banner, and the thing expels Bruce. The glob shoots Bruce with something that changes him back to the Hulk. The glob says that locked within the Hulk's mind is his master's name. When Hulk and Dr. Strange go to fight the Unnamed One the Hulk will unwillingly become the Unnamed One's slave.

Defenders #78- Hulk stands outside Strange's house and wonders why he came to his house. Hulk doesn't want friends, but as it is raining and Hulk hates water, he decides to go in. Strange sees Hulk coming. He sent a summons to Hulk, but wondered if he would come as he felt a psychic rebuff to the call. Hulk enters and wants to know why Fish-man is there. Strange tells them about Unnameable One and says the world needs the Defenders. Hulk says there are no more Defenders, but he will help to smash monsters. Later Strange and Hulk are back in their old man and purple monster disguises. Namor is disguised as an owl that sits on Hulk's shoulder. They return to Bozqwip's inn where they meet Aeroika, an orange man with wings coming out of his face. He says the prophecies state he will be their guide against the Unnameable.

Defenders #79- Hulk, Strange, and Namor follow Aeroika, but they're weary of him because he hasn't really explained who he is. Aeroika brings them to a place where they can drop their disguise and gets some sleep. Aeroika uses his species dreamspeech to inform the Defenders about himself. He shows them his race are enslaved by Ytitnedion, Nilffim-King, Master of Ogeon, and servant of the Unnamed. Ytitnedion is of a buzzard-like people. Aeroika's people have formed with the Nya, the free, the Dream. Ytitnedion created Aeroika's race for servitude and to have goodness to degrade. The wings on his head don't fly, yet they make his race yearn to fly. Aeroika escaped when the Nillfim Riders disappeared before. That was the first part of Aeroika's vision. Aeroika examines Namor and Strange, but before he can examine Hulk's mind he transforms into Bruce (only Hulk's mind has the name of the Unnamed on it).

Defenders #80- Bruce talks to Aeroika. Bruce recalls Aeroika's dreamspeech. Aeroika says it seems something is trying to prevent him from looking into the Hulk's mind. Bruce says he vaguely remembers Hulk running into a silver glob. Aeroika says that may have been an agent of the Unnameable. Suddenly they are under attack by the forces of Ytitnedion, led by a vulture-headed royal family member. Aeroika and Banner are shot by arrows. Bruce hulks out. Hulk smashes the army and sends them running as Strange and Namor sleep. The noise wakes them up and Strange manages to stop Hulk from leaping after the fleeing army. They head on to Ogeon to help Aeroika's people. Ytitnedion is pleased with the Defenders progress as Hulk holds the seeds of their downfall in his head.

Defenders #81- The Defenders are sneaking into Ogeon as an endless parade of troops march into Ogeon. Strange speculates this is Ytitnedion's final attempt to capture Tunnelworld. After the parade of troops is a lone wagon in the rear. Hulk destroys the bridge and they get the two guys who own the wagon to take them into Ogeon. They get off in Ogeon to find it the biggest dump of a city anywhere. Aeroika points out the clean nice complex of towers where the unnameable's servants live. While they ponder what to do next they see Xhoohx and his mystic Orb of Ommennon, the means by which the darkness was kept from spreading, have been captured. Aeroika is noticed by the guards and a fight breaks out. Ytitnedion watches from the towers. Ytitnedion tells Xhoohx that he himself has been fulfilling the prophecies so that he can pull them out from under the hopefuls' noses. Members of Aeroika's race join the Defenders in the fight. Ytitnedion releases a giant tank called the crusher. Hulk goes after it, but a pain in his head stops him. Hulk is floored by the crusher's cannons. Namor goes to fight it. The troops capture Hulk. Aeroika rallies his people.

Defenders #82- Hulk is still unconscious in front of Ytitnedion. Ytitnedion reveals he planted the Unnameable's name in Hulk long ago to make it look like his troops could defeat Hulk. Xhoohx uses the Nya to wake the Hulk with a buzzing in his head that makes it hard for Hulk to think. Hulk breaks free of his shackles and starts smashing. Ytitnedion blasts Xhoohx and the nya leave Hulk to spare Xhoohx further pain. Ytitnedion tells the Hulk to go smash Aeroika's people and his fellow Defenders. A dressed for war Hulk goes to meet his new Nilffum-rider underlings and his flying Nilffum. Hulk waits for Ytitnedion's order to attack. Strange's astral form finds Hulk, and Strange wants to try and free Hulk's mind. Hulk sees Magician and orders Bird-Men to attack. Hulk and his soldiers ride their Nilffum following Strange to his body where they can smash him. Strange deals with Hulk's soldiers and gets Hulk to follow him to the now shattered Orb of Ommennon. Strange reforms the orb as Hulk and his magic bird pass over it trapping them inside. Ytitnedion sneaks up behind Strange, but he is leveled by Aeroika's sword.

Defenders #83- Namor suspects Hulk was trapped by Strange. He waits there until Strange comes back with a dead Xhoohx. Hulk is taken with the Defenders as they go to the Unnameable's stronghold to confront him. Unnameable revitalizes Ytitnedion. Strange expands the orb encompassing them all, but expelling the Unnameable One's magic. They are now inside the orb. Hulk rescues ytitnedion on his bird and flies away. The Unnameable is using all his power within the sphere. A giant visage of the Hulk grows before them. They fly into the Hulk's eye and into his brain to confront the Unnameable. The group is attacked by the Hulk's memories of the Rhino, Absorbing Man, Harpy, and Leader. Once they are defeated they are attacked by every monster, villain, or hero the Hulk has ever fought. Strange alters the landscape to an ocean washing the opposition away. Hulk flies in and tackles Namor as Ytitnedion fights Strange. Hulk hits Namor. Strange figures out how to confront the reality instead of what the Unnameable would have you see. Strange cause the Unnameable to retreat within the Hulk's memory. Strange goes with Hulk's actual brain. He finds the exact part that contains the dreaded name. Strange disconnects the part of the Hulk's brain that occupies the name, and as such the very Unnameable entuty itself. Strange takes them al lout of Hulk's mind and shatters the orb. Hulk is himself again.

Defenders #84- Strange and Namor go to check on Hulk as when they returned to Atlantis Hulk collapsed. Namor is worried, but Strange says Hulk will be fine. Hulk transforms back into Bruce and continues sleeping. Namor asks Strange if the Unnameable could escape the Hulk's mind. Strange says one never knows. Namor is called to his duties. Strange says he must return home, but will return for Bruce Baner in a few days. Bruce awakes and wants to see Namor, but he is busy dealing with some of his overzealous warlords and the Black Panther. Namor's men inject Bruce with something to cause him to sleep. The Black Panther and Namor have an argument and Panther flees. He finds Bruce drugged. He awakens Bruce, and Bruce hulks out. Hulk starts attacking blue men for trying to make him sleep. Namor rushes in to try and calm Hulk as a fellow Defender. Hulk is still mad and knocks Namor through the outer wall into the ocean. Namor saves Hulk because he was unable to get a breath before leaping into the water. Hulk wakes up and Namor tells Hulk he saved his life. Hulk apparently doesn't believe him as Hulk is the strongest one there is. Hulk leaps right through the ceiling of Namor's kingdom and out of the water.

Defenders #85- Hulk is swimming across the ocean grumbling to himself when Namor decides to help hulk. He feels bad because he was supposed to take care of the Hulk. His ship surfaces and tells Hulk that he wil ltake him to Strange's house. Hulk gets aboard and soon changes to Banner from exhaustion from their adventure and the Hulk's long swim. Namor flies Bruce from his ship to Strange's door. Namor storms from Strange's house when he sees Black Panther there. Bruce goes to get some rest. Later Hulk and Strange arrive in time to save the other Defenders from a botched attempt at capturing Mandrill.

Defenders #86- Valkyrie sits trying to cheer up the morose Banner. She suggests that maybe the advanced technology of their new friend the Black Panther might provide a cure for the Hulk. Bruce says Panther probably wouldn't want him in Wakanda. Val says that Hulk has helped the Defenders many times. Bruce says he gets them in trouble too. Val says they should go to a movie. Bruce says he can't because he might transform. Strange comes in to agree saying that Bruce's negativity actually is affecting his ectoplasmic senses. Bruce goes with Val to Snow White. Bruce is enjoying himself until one of the Panther's inventions, a sound absorber that absorbs all the sound, starts a riot. In total silence the audience starts a stampede. Bruce hulks out and bursts through the wall. Panther and Hellcat, who were tracing the absorber, arrive. Panther attacks the Hulk. Panther is trying to overload the absorber with noise. Hellcat turns the other absorber off and the missing absorber is overloaded and destroyed. With the sound returned everyone is panicking about the Hulk. Hulk leaps away and says that if anyone tries to follow, even the Defenders, he will smash them.

Defenders #87- flashback- (This entire story is told as testimony to a mysterious panel) Hulk is under surveillance. His watchers find him under the Route 80 overpass in the New Jersey Meadowlands. They watch from a distance as Hulk sits down leaning against one of the supports. Hulk mutters about puny humans and goes to sleep. They watch as he transforms into Bruce. His watchers alert the authorities. A nervous army guy tries to sneak up on Bruce with a gas mask. The guy trips and wakes up Bruce. Bruce hulks out. Hulk is dragged up by a helicopter. Hulk grabs the highway and pulls down the helicopter. Hulk starts trashing the army trucks. Mutant Force parachutes in. Burner tries to flame Hulk, but Hulk claps his hands and sends Mutant Force flying. Slither wraps his body around the Hulk's face suffocating him. Hulk pulls Slither off and throws him into the others. Hulk destroys a bunch of tanks. Lifter lessens Hulk's gravity and lifts him over his head. Hulk hits him in the chest and back knocking him over. Hulk leaps to the top of the stadium and dumps the "G" and "I" from Giants onto the cars below. The army copters come in again. Hellcat and Valkyrie try to fly in and save Hulk, but he doesn't know it's them. He swats their ship down. Burner uses his fire to exhaust Hulk's air. Hulk falls off the stadium and collapses. He turns into Bruce. Hellcat uses her claws to pick Bruce up, and they run.

Incredible Hulk annual #9- Bruce drives a rented car in the southwestern desert. He decides to head to New York. Bruce drives into New York. He is rear ended by a truck. The truck driver yells at Bruce because the brake lights weren't working. Bruce hulks out and the guy runs to his truck. Hulk picks the truck up and pushes other cars around with it. Hulk leaps into Manhattan. Hulk knocks a car over as the police monitor Hulk's location, and try to keep people away from him. A group of rich losers have some competition about the Hulk. Hulk is near the World Trade Center when he is shot at from the top. Hulk leaps and climbs up the building. The tower he climbed up was empty, but the other has a strange helicopter that starts shooting the Hulk. Hulk leaps up and destroys the helicopter. Niven, one of the losers, bails out. Stone, another loser, gets the next turn. Hulk is drawn by a strange noise to Central Park. A man shoots Hulk, and when Hulk chases he finds a strange tank. Hulk destroys it. Franklin, loser number three, goes next. In Rockefeller Center Franklin blasts Hulk from a strange car. Hulk leaps in front of the car. Franklin has the car loaded with explosions, but his door jams. Hulk sidesteps the car and it crashes and explodes. Loser four Turkel selects St. Patrick's Cathedral. Turkel shoots Hulk and runs into the sewer. He traps Hulk in a big fire hoping his lack of oxygen knocks him out. Hulk breaks through the ground. Hulk throws an arriving fire truck at another and leaves. Logan tries next at the Statue of Liberty. He gets Hulk to leap after a helicopter. Hulk falls into the water and torpedoes are fired at Hulk. Hulk claps his hands in the water knocking the boat backwards. Logan goes to his liner and fires a big gun at Hulk when Hulk gets on. Hulk pulls the cannon up and the liner sinks. Unconscious Hulk drifts to the shore and turns into Banner. Banner grabs a coat in the trash and overhears a detective who had been investigating the attacks on Hulk. Bruce figures correctly that the last place- chosen by the last loser Reigel- was Empire State Building. Bruce correctly guesses that it is King Bakery on the top floor, but the guard tells him to leave. A diversion allows Bruce to get up there. Bruce confronts Reigel, but Reigel figures to kill Bruce. Bruce hulks out. Reigel calls in a bunch of chess piece robots. Hulk smashes them. Reigel attacks Hulk, but Hulk grabs him and picks him up. The cop talks Hulk out of killing him. Hulk leaps away.

Daredevil #163- Matt Murdock hears Hulk below so he leaps from the building he was in and finds him. Hulk wants to know what little man wants. Murdock says he wants to help because others will come with guns and tanks because they think he is a monster, Hulk says that he is a monster, and throws Murdock aside saying he doesn't need anyone's help. Murdock asks about Banner's help. Hulk lunges for Murdock. He picks up a big chunk of wall and says wants to know where Banner is. Murdock says Hulk must trust him. He gets Hulk to sit and think. Hulk changes into Banner. Bruce collapses. Bruce awakens later from a Hulk nightmare inside Murdock's apartment. Murdock suggests turning himself in, but Bruce starts to get upset. Matt calms him down and gives him some money and clothes. Bruce says goodbye, and goes to the subway. When Bruce asks a guy to turn his radio down the guy shoves him. Bruce gets pushed back and forth until he hulks out. Hulk leaps out of the train and through the ground. Murdock hears and becomes Daredevil. Daredevil calms Hulk, but a cop shoots Hulk. Hulk says Little Man tried to trick him. Daredevil jumps around Hulk kicking, but Hulk grabs his wrist and throws him into a nearby building, and bounces off landing on a rooftop. Hulk says he wants Banner. Daredevil tries to drive a bus into Hulk, but Hulk kicks it. Hulk tears the bus apart in a rage. Daredevil leaps about Hulk trying to reason with him while he kicks him. Hulk hits Daredevil through a fence. Hulk picks a large chunk of rock over his head. Daredevil says he only wants to help Hulk and the police understand, but Hulk will have to trust him. Daredevil collapses with broken ribs spitting up blood. Hulk leaps away frustrated that he hurt the only one trying to help him.

Iron Man #131- Hulk sits on the Long Island Expressway eating a truck full of fruit that he overturned. The truck driver tries to mace Hulk. Hulk's eyes tear, but Hulk swats the guy away with a bunch of bananas in his hand. Police start to shoot at Hulk. Hulk hits the ground knocking them over. Hulk sees a helicopter. He goes and picks up a truck carrying milk. Hulk squeezes the truck and sprays milk all over the copter. Iron Man flies in and tells Hulk to finish his snack and go. Hulk says now he isn't leaving, and punches Iron Man through three cars and off of a truck. The police try to hit Hulk with a bazooka. Hulk ducks and the bazooka hits a bridge. Hulk sees that a boy, inside a mobile home on the bridge, is going to fall. Hulk leaps up and grabs the home and sets it down on safer ground. The boy thinks Hulk is cool. The boy asks if Hulk wants to play. The boy hands him a Baron Karza toy while the boy plays with Acroyear. The police go to "save the boy", but Iron Man stops them as he notices the calming effect the boy has on him. Hulk turns into Bruce. Bruce tells Iron Man that he can't take it anymore. He tells Iron Man to kill him as he collapses. The cops go to take Bruce in custody, but Iron Man says he is taking him to Stark Industries for study and containment. Iron Man puts him on a bed. The next morning Bruce startles Mrs. Arbogast. In the night Bruce got up and designed a miniature nuclear powered pulse regulator. The idea is to keep his pulse from accelerating and starting the change. Stark and Lang help design and build it. Bruce has laser surgery to implant the device. Bruce is tested by being strapped in a chair and shown images designed to accelerate the pulse. Bruce doesn't change. The police come with a warrant for Bruce. Iron Man tries to protect Bruce, but as Bruce doesn't want Tony in trouble he runs for it. A moron tries to lob a grenade at him. Iron Man knocks it over, but Bruce still catches the blast. Iron Man hears the rumblings of the Hulk, but as the smoke clears they see a Savage Banner.

Iron Man #132- Bruce is restrained shouting how he will smash. Dr. Maxwell, of Gamma Base, says that in #227 they learned that Bruce and the Hulk are two separate personalities, and all they've managed to do was suppress the physical aspect. Stark plays "Hulk" some music, and he calms down. Bruce regains control. Dr. Soundheim tells Stark that despite the regulator Bruce's pulse is above where it should be, and his skin is thickening while his mass increases. While they work on the reason Bruce starts to transform into Hulk. They figure out that the nuclear radiation is affecting the "cure". The alarm goes off and Stark switches into Iron Man. Hulk throws two guards, but Iron Man catches them. Iron Man says that nobody wants to hurt anyone. Hulk says he is wrong and punches Iron Man into another car. Hulk says he was trapped in Banner's body, but now he is free to smash. Stark says that regulator is now keeping Hulk's heartbeat up, and he'll never calm down. Iron Man challenges Hulk and flies away. Hulk leaps after him onto the docks. Iron Man is in the water and destroys the dock. Hulk throws Iron Man into the ground and leaps out. Iron Man admits he is scared, but has to win to save the Banner. Hulk pulls a big chunk out of an arc. Iron Man knocks it over. Iron Man throws a baggage car at Hulk; Hulk hits it with Stark's Learjet. Hulk is blinded. Iron Man sends every iota of power in his armor into his next movement. Iron Man hits Hulk and knocks him out. Iron Man falls over without any power.

Iron Man #133- Hulk, wearing a gas mask, is picked up by a forklift. They hook up a sound amplifier to Iron Man's armor. He tells them to get Hulk to the lab. They load Hulk onto the table. They push the laser far past its designed limits and shoot it directly at the regulator. Later when Tony is freed from his armor he comes in to see Bruce is back. Bruce says he is ready to go with the police. Stark says he promised to help, and since he hadn't yet Stark orders his janitor to give Bruce his clothes. Jim Rhodes and a man walk out, and Jim tells the cops to go in and deal with Stark about the Hulk. As they walk out the man is revealed to be Banner. Jim says he is supposed to fly Bruce wherever he wants to go. Bruce says he supposes out west.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #244- Bruce walks in Los Angeles after Hulk falls asleep in Long Beach. Bruce walks past Dr. Vault. Bruce later walk past a car with Bob, the man Dr. Vault fought for control of It, the Living Colossus. Bob says It is in Vault's old hideout. Lost in thought Bruce wanders into the street. He turns into the Hulk before the car hits. The police that were chasing the car arrive. Hulk throws the wrecked car at the police car and leaps away. Hulk is blinded by the lights from Grant Marshall's (an acquaintance of Bob's) Walk of Fame hand print ceremony. Hulk falls to the ground and goes to see who attacked him with light. Hulk walks up behind Grant, and the people run. Grant says it is bad enough that the Hulk show drove his show off the air, but when he ruins his speech…well. Hulk grabs Grant and asks why he attacked him with light. Grant realizes that this is the real Hulk, and starts trying to explain himself. Bob becomes It to fight Hulk. Hulk stomps his foot into the concrete. Grant passes out and Hulk throws him into the wet cement. It grabs Hulk, but Hulk opens It's hand. Hulk punches It. Dr. Vault hears It is back, and goes to grab his machine that will put him in It's body. It knocks Hulk down, but Hulk catches It's hand. Hulk flips It to the ground. As Hulk walks away Dr. Vault takes control of It. Vault kicks Hulk from behind. Hulk rips It's leg off. The leg still responds to Vault, and he uses it to kick Hulk. Hulk starts smashing It into little pieces. Hulk reduces It to dust. The dust attacks Hulk so he claps his hands dispersing it across the city. Hulk walks away.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #245- The Hulk remembers the words of Tyrannus about Jarella being at Gamma Base. Hulk is leaping towards Gamma Base to get Jarella and take her back to her world. The soldiers comment how their orders are now shoot to kill. Hulk starts tearing into the soldiers. Glenn Talbot, with General Ross still recovering from his nervous breakdown is now running gamma Base. Talbot confronts Hulk in a Super-Mandroid suit. Captain Mar-vell is with Rick Jones as he and Fred Sloan star on a television show about how the Hulk is merely a misunderstood man. Just then Hulk appears on televison attacking Gamma Base. Captain Mar-Vell takes off to try and help protect the earth from the Hulk. Hulk ant Talbot fight until Talbot pins Hulk under one of the Mandroid's feet. Talbot blames every bad thing that ever happened to him on the Hulk. He extends a blade and starts to cut Hulk. Hulk says Talbot is stupid for making him made. Hulk crushes the ground below him knocking Talbot over face down. Hulk says that Talbot and Ross always attack him and keep him from his friends. Hulk starts to pull Talbot's head backwards. Captain Mar-Vell arrives to stop Hulk from killing Talbot. Hulk recognizes Mar-Vell as taking friends from him too, and says he is taking Jarella. Mar-Vell says he will help Hulk with that, but won't allow killing. Hulk says he doesn't want help, and asks who Mar-Vell is to "allow" Hulk anything.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #246- Mar-Vell asks Hulk release Talbot, so Hulk throws him at Mar-Vell. Hulk then slams his fist into his hand, and the soundwaves bury Talbot and Mar-Vell. Hulk walks away. Mar-Vell digs out and frees Talbot. Talbot lies to Mar-Vell that he'll let Hulk take Jarella to get him to leave. Mar-Vell doesn't fall for it. Hulk rips open the door to the cryogenics morgue. Mar-Vell arrives in time to see cradling Jarella. Hulk cries for Jarella. Hulk apologizes for bringing her to Earth. Mar-Vell tries to offer help, but Hulk bats him away asking how he can ruin his moment with Jarella. Hulk pounces on Mar-Vell, but Mar-Vell grabs Hulk's head and imparts the knowledge that he really wants to help Hulk. Hulk picks up Jarella and says Space-Man can help. Mar-Vell uses his cosmic awareness to guide the sub-atomic machine into taking Hulk to K'ai. Just as Hulk and Jarella are transported Talbot blasts the machine abandoning the Hulk on K'ai.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #247- Hulk stops shrinking on a barren lifeless world. At first he thinks maybe Space-Man lied to him, but somehow he knows that this was the once lush with plants and animals world of K'ai. Hulk walks with Jarella in his arms thinking how much better it was before. Hulk hears shouting and finds a giant "Bat-Dragon" attacking Jarella's people. Hulk remembers his promise to Jarella to be K'ai's protector. He puts down Jarella and leaps onto the monster. They fight for a bit, but in the end Hulk ties the creature's neck into a knot and smashes it to the ground. The people come out to cheer Hulk, but Hulk shouts "Back!" and swings his arm at them. Hulk leaps up and shows them their dead princess. Jarella's magicians enable Hulk to understand the people of K'ai. They mention how they used to be able to Banner in charge of Hulk's body. Hulk says that if they want to be his friend not to mention Banner to him again. Hulk asks what happened. Apparently when Hulk shattered the slide with K'ai on it in 203 it sent the planet into a series of geological upheavals. The planet was devastated. Hulk says he will help, as Jarella would have wanted. One of the sorcerers shows Hulk the Valley of Life where Jarella should be buried. Jarella's people sing as they carry her to the Valley. When Hulk sees the valley he says they should live there. The Magician shows Hulk the last people who went in there dead on stakes. He says they should leave Jarella there and the Valley Demons will come to bury her. Hulk doesn't care for that. Hulk picks up Jarella and says he will bury her, and return with food- demons or no demons. As Hulk reflects on other deaths a tree and a red griffin-like demon attack him. Hulk throws it away, but is grabbed from behind by a giant sea creature. Hulk smashes it only to be accosted by chimps and bugs. Hulk claps his hands to disperse them. Hulk picks up Jarella, but comes face to face with the Gardener.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #248- Gardener has the vines grab Hulk. Gardener's beasts take Jarella to bury her. Hulk gets upset because he promised her he would stay to the end. Gardener brings forth Bruce's mind. Gardener relates to Bruce why the living cannot be in his garden. After experiencing the evils of man Gardener bans all the living from his garden. Gardener leaves and Bruce starts to cry asking why all he loves is taken from him. He changes into Bruce and the plants intended to hold the Hulk release him. Bruce presses into the garden to keep his promise to Jarella. As Bruce comes to a body of water and a water tendril puls him into the water. Bruce changes into Hulk. As Hulk is being sucked into the water he slams the bed of the river knocking all the water clear. Hulk leaps after Gardener. He tells Gardener that he is burying Jarella, and her people are coming to live in the garden. Hulk is attacked by beasts, but he smashes them. Hulk blows away the birds that attack. Hulk grabs Gardener's staff. As Gardener and Hulk struggle Gardener's Soul Gem floats between them. Hulk knocks Gardener away, and grabs the gem. Hulk recalls that the gem made the garden nice so he throws it to the center of the planet. Hulk cries as he finally buries Jarella. A green flower grows from Jarella's grave. Gardener apologizes to Hulk for being selfish. Hulk says he wants to go home, and Gardener sends him home.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #249- Hulk sleeps on a mountain after his return from K'ai. He changes into Bruce. Two hunters are illegally hunting female deer. Bruce grabs one of the hunter's guns, and is butted with the end. Bruce hulks out. Hulk grabs one of the hunters and throws him. Hulk comes up behind the other hunter. The hunter breaks his own gun, and runs away saying he'll become a vegetarian. Hulk claps his hands and causes an avalanche. Hulk is forced down a cavern in the mountain. Hulk slows his fall by grabbing the wall. Hulk knows he is under the ground, but wonders why it is still light down there. Hulk wants to get back to the surface, but he comes to a frozen palace. Hulk approaches the frozen man to ask him how to get back to the surface. Hulk accidentally breaks one of Jack Frost's statues. Hulk says it is pretty here, but he wants to leave. Jack says that Hulk can't leave because he might tell others where to find him. Frost has another statue attack Hulk that Hulk breaks. An ice girl kisses Hulk, which encases him in an ice block. Hulk breaks free. Jack causes ice to grow from below and above trapping Hulk. Hulk smashes through the columns. Hulk smashes the ground and Jack's ice world starts to crumble. Frost realizes he unjustly attacked the Hulk. Hulk climbs out of the cavern back to the surface.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #250- Hulk stands alone on the mountain enjoying the quiet. Hulk walks to a farm below hoping they won't attack him. As he walks Hulk turns into Bruce. Bruce sees a bull charging a little girl. Bruce saves her but is knocked out by the bull's charge. The girl's family chases the bull away, and take Bruce to their house. The Silver Surfer gets the idea that maybe he could get Banner to help him gain the power to turn anger into power the way the Hulk does. Surfer's hate for Galactus would then power his escape from his earthly prison. The little girl, Mary, invites Bruce to a square dance so he can meet the townspeople. Bruce says he will if she'll be his partner. Clare, Mary's mother, says that this could be Bruce's family since her husband was killed long ago by the "plague" from Tranquility Base. Bruce thinks how having people depend on him helps keep his anger in check. After dancing at the dance Clare goes to get something to eat for Bruce. Bruce sees a shooting star and follows it. The star turns out to be the Silver Surfer. Surfer says he wants the power of the Hulk, Bruce says that Surfer is mad that nobody should be cursed with the power. Bruce hulks out. Hulk leaps at Surfer. Hulk hits Surfer off his board. Hulk says Surfer will not get away. He grabs Surfer's board and tries to break it. Surfer blasts Hulk and transforms him back into Bruce Banner. Surfer tells Bruce he is now cured. He asks for Bruce's help gaining the anger to power equation. Bruce is supposed to meet Surfer at Tranquility Base. Bruce returns to Clare and Mary dressed in the scarecrow's clothes. Later Bruce arrives at the base to find Surfer has managed to activate the machines. Bruce says they will need to make modifications. Surfer touches Bruce's head and takes the information automatically altering the machine. Bruce starts to alter Surfer alerting the whole town to their presence there. Bruce pauses saying Surfer will be altered if he absorbs too much, too quickly. Surfer shows Bruce how made he is blasting things. Bruce realizes that Surfer is already altered. Surfer fails to escape and returns for more power. The townspeople find Bruce there. They damage the machine. Bruce absorbs the rays and changes into the Hulk. Surfer swoops in angry and grabs Hulk by the ankle and flies out. Hulk climbs onto the board. He tries to hit Surfer, but Surfer grabs his hand and absorbs Hulk's power. Surfer gets free of the barrier, but Bruce falls off the board to earth. Surfer goes back to save Bruce. He infuses Bruce with the gamma radiation to respark his life. Surfer leaves. Bruce awakens aware that he is still cursed.

Marvel Team Up #97- Hulk faces down the sheriff of a New Mexico town. After being shot Hulk hits the ground and leaps away. The sheriff calls Dr. Benway and tells him the Hulk is coming towards him. Dr. Benway sees the Hulk, and shoots him out of the sky. Hulk gets up to fight, but Benway shoots Hulk with a light ray that causes him pleasure. Hulk turns into Bruce. Bruce is shot with a tranquilizer. Spider-Woman visits the same sheriff and asks about a fugitive named Yen. He directs her to Benway, but after she leaves he calls to warn the doctor. She finds Yen turning into a monster. Benway knocks out Spider-Woman. Spider-Woman gets free and saves Bruce Banner before Benway lobotomizes him. She slaps him awake causing him to transform. Hulk crashes through the wall at Benway. Hulk smashes all Benway's robotic creations (that posses the brains of criminals). After the bad guys run and Spider-Woman chases them Hulk destroys the building. Hulk leaps away.

Marvel Team-Up annual #3- Hulk knocks over trees in the forest. He comes to a lake and gets a drink. Hulk thinks how it's better to be alone- even from his friends. Hulk was found by a red hooded figure. He sneaks up on Hulk and tries to use a machine that will put Hulk in his power. The machine only hurts Hulk's head, and he crushes the machine. Hulk grabs the hood off the figure to see that it is a woman named Nightshade. Hulk no longer wants to smash, but asks what girl wants. She says some men took something that belongs to her. Hulk doesn't like men so he decides to help her. Power Man and Iron Fist are being paid to transfer a very unique computer chip by train. The Hulk plunges his fist through their car, lifts it, and tears the car in two. Hulk grabs the metal box with the chip in it. Cage jumps on Hulk, but Hulk knocks him off. Hulk leaps away with the box before Iron Fist gets out of the train wreckage. Hulk gives the box to Nightshade. Nightshade is impressed with Hulk's ability to follow her complex instructions. She offers him a chair, but is shatters under Hulk's weight. Hulk starts to get mad, but Nightshade gets him to calm down. Machine Man, in human guise, works for the insurance people that hired Heroes for Hire. As Machine Man uses his sensors to help them find the Hulk by gamma radiation. Machine Man senses a gamma surge and charges in to find Hulk has changed back to Banner. Nightshade left after giving the Hulk drugged food. Maggie Jones, also an insurance rep, comes in a starts yelling at and slapping Banner. Bruce hulks out. Machine Man pushes Maggie outside. Hulk throws Machine Man into Power Man and they crash through the wall to the outside. Iron Fist runs and tags Hulk. Fist gives his best Iron Fist punch. Hulk doesn't move except to pick up Fist by the shirt. Luke Cage says for Hulk to hit him. Hulk recognizes Cage, and Cage helps Hulk realize that he was tricked. Hulk tells Cage it was Nightshade. Later Hulk rips the wall off Nightshade's hotel. She fakes fainting at Machine Man's touch. While the others look for the chip Nightshade drives away. Hulk leaps onto the motor of Nightshade's car. Hulk leaps away.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #251- As Bruce steals some clothes he comes across some kids playing a 'Hunt the Hulk' game. One of the kids runs around the fence and is freaked out by Bruce. Hal Chandler recognizes his old clothes picked out of the trash. He invites Bruce in for dinner and to stay the night. After Bruce goes to sleep Hal calls the New Mexico police and tells them the Hulk is in his house. Hal's son Chuck hears Rick Jones, founder of the Teen Brigade, calling for help from the Changelings. He finds the 3-D Man in his house, but when the police arrive to arrest Bruce Banner Chuck realizes that he can help Rick Jones. Chuck warns Bruce that Rick needs help. The 3-D Man storms Bruce's room to find the Hulk. 3-D Man kicks Hulk. As he dodges Hulk's punches Hulk starts putting holes in the house. Hulk raves about wanting to go help his friends. Peggy Chandler convinces Hulk to go to his friend. Chuck says so too. 3-D Man realizes the error he made instigating the fight and stands aside for Hulk to go.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #252- Hulk arrives at Ross' cabin only to find the placed trashed with only a badly beaten Doc Samson left there. In a dazed state Samson tells whoever came in that the Changelings attacked and took Rick, Fred, Ross, and Betty. When he sees it's the Hulk he says Hulk cannot go after them. That they must reason with the Changelings. Hulk said reason is Samson's way, and it didn't stop the Changelings from pounding him and taking his friends. Hulk smashes the radio that endlessly calls to Rick Jones. Samson says that if Hulk goes after the Changelings they may kill their captives. Hulk says he will smash whoever hurts his friends. Samson collapses unconscious as Hulk walks away. Hulk comes to a pond where a merman pulls him under. Hulk blows his breath out and empties the pond. Hulk arrives at the Changelings and is attacked. Leoninus, usurper to Woodgod's authority, poisons the healing potion for the centaur that Ross shot in his addled state. He wants the centaur to die so he can force Woodgod's hand at killing Ross, Betty, and the others. Hulk is pinned face down by a bull-centaur. Hulk grabs a horn, and flips the beast slamming him against the ground. Another centaur kicks Hulk into the house where Rick and the others are being kept. They tell Hulk that they don't need help. They'll be freed as soon as Centauron is healed. Fred tells Hulk not to hurt Siren, a harpy-esque woman, as she flies at Hulk's face. Hulk knocks her away because she is attacking. Fred gets upset. Ross wakes up and starts yelling about the Hulk. The Changelings pile on, but Hulk shrugs them off and says he will leave since his friends don't even want him. Centauron dies from the poison and Leoninus emerges with Changelings of his own creation to challenge Woodgod.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #253- Hulk walks away mumbling to himself about his ingrate friends. Hulk sees the Fish-Man. Hulk feels bad he fought with Fish-Man for no reason. Hulk hits the ground and fills the pond up with water. Hulk runs into Doc Samson and tells Samson that his friends did not want his help. Hulk says he doesn't care what happens now. Samson says he cares, and calls Hulk a brainless monster. Hulk gets mad. Hulk attacks. Samson feels like a dope for provoking the Hulk. Samson charges at Hulk with a tree, but Hulk smashes it. Siren figures out that Leoninus poisoned the potion she was carrying. She flies and stops Hulk and Samson's fight. She tells them their friends are in trouble and to follow her. Leoninus is about to slay Woodgod as Siren arrives with Hulk and Samson and accuses Leoninus. A fight breaks out, as the other Changelings are now back with Woodgod. Hulk tells Samson to look at Elephant-Man and Cat-Man, and remember them the next time he calls Hulk a monster. Elephantine charges Hulk and wraps his trunk around Hulk's throat. Hulk pulls the trunk off and swings Elephantine into a tree. The good Changelings win. Samson, Betty, and Rick all apologize to Hulk. Ross thinks them all mad, but Betty tries to calm him down. Rick, Betty, and Samson try to make Hulk feel wanted, but again Ross starts hollering at Hulk. Hulk grabs him by the throat. Samson, Betty, and Rick all shout for him to put Ross down. Hulk says his friends always stick up for Hulk's enemies. Hulk says that when Ross gets well he is going to right back to hunting the Hulk, and his friends will just stand by and let it happen. Hulk says he doesn't need friends like that and leaps away.

The Big Change Marvel Graphic Novel- Hulk leaps across the desert and smashes a gigantic statue of the Thing that an old man built so impressed by Thing's nobility. Hulk gets ready to smash the sculptor, but he is pulled into another dimension with the real Thing. Stamben Malelet sent for Hulk and Thing to save Mall Addy, an inventor of a new big change in nutrition, from Nasty McBurne who kidnapped him for Banger McCrusher. Hulk's molecular structure was altered a bit to make him more manageable. Stamben offers them two wishes to save Mall Addy. Hulk refuses as he wants nothing. Thing says he promises Hulk a good time. Hulk agrees. Thing notices that even on an alien planet they're drawing attention. Thing grabs some cloth and disguises himself. Hulk knocks a squid-like creature out and wears him as a hat for his disguise. Thing and Hulk hitch a ride towards their job. The alien recognizes Hulk by saying that Hulk is that "ugly monster". Hulk says, "who you call ugly", and prepares to hit him, but they are ejected from his ship. They fall from the sky into a sewer. Thing is thinking about the wishes when he notices Hulk's "hat" waking up. Hulk hits it again. They fall out of the sewer. Thing shows Hulk they have to get across the swamp. A Thulcan Death Rob finds them. It identifies Thing, but takes off Hulk's hat to identify him. Hulk gets mad that they took his hat. The hat wakes up and runs. They fight the Death Rob, but Thing convinces Hulk to run from it. Hulk leaps across the swamp, but leaves Thing behind. Thing finally catches up. They start to walk, but fall into a cavern. The cavern is filled with tons of monsters that want to stop them. Thing tries to talk their way out of it, but when that fails he gets ready to fight. Hulk stops Thing saying it is his turn to "reason with guy's" For an hour and a half Hulk explains how he likes mutton stew, and how brass buttons hurt his eyes amongst other things. All the hoodlums fall asleep. Thing and Hulk walk on to find Banger McCrusher's place. They meet Banger who admires the Hulk and Thing so much so that he had himself altered to look like them. Banger is much larger though, and he thinks Hulk and Thing are tiny and cute. Hulk says he is not cute! Hulk and Thing try to attack Banger, but Banger knocks Thing down with one finger and sneezes the Hulk off his chest. Thing tries to get Hulk riled up and starts making up insults that Banger made about Hulk's mother, or about Hulk being dumb, but what sets Hulk off is when Thing says that Banger said Hulk was a pinko. Hulk shouts that he is green, and Hulk and Thing knock out Banger together. Having rescued Mall and captured Nasty they are returned to Stamben. Hulk and Thing find out that they just rescued the inventor of the ultimate food enhancer. Stamben asks them what their two wishes are. While Thing thinks of all the good he could do Hulk says, "Hulk wants food and wants to go home". Back on earth Hulk starts eating a mountain of cheeseburgers. He says that Rock-Man kept his promise and that he is Hulk's friend. Thing comes up behind Hulk with a giant rock he is about to hit Hulk with.

Marvel Two-In-One annual #5- Hulk is leaping in the desert. Hulk likes the desert because it is quiet. Hulk goes to watch some clouds. Hulk happens across the spot of the original gamma bomb test. He sees General Ross and Betty there. Hulk freaks out and leaps at the burnt out bomb. A radiation burst causes Betty and Ross to collapse. Hulk is knocked out of the sky and falls to the ground. Hulk changes into Bruce. Bruce loads Ross and Betty onto Ross' jeep. Bruce finds that Betty and Ross were struck down by cosmic rays. Bruce says he must find Reed Richards. As it is Reed is laid up from exposure to gamma radiation. Thing is looking for Bruce Banner to help him. Bruce contacts Thing, and Thing brings the other Fantastic Four to Bruce. The Stranger on his way to enlist the aid of Thing and Hulk accidentally damages Thing's ship. Seeing this causes Bruce to hulk out. Stranger tells Thing he rendered the Four, Betty, and Ross this way to bring Thing and Hulk together. Stranger knocks out Thing, but Hulk leaps through the air and hits Stranger. Stranger increases Hulk's weight causing him to sink through the ground. Hulk pushes his way up. Thing revives and Stranger freezes them both with his mind. Stranger tells them that they are needed to protect the universe. He releases them. Hulk says he remembers how Stranger used him before, and goes to smash him. Thing convinces Hulk that helping Stranger is like helping Betty. Stranger teleports the three of them to dimension of the Dark Domain to confront Pluto. Pluto's mindless minions attack them. Pluto says he knew Stranger was watching him all along and planned for him. Pluto shows the trio his factory that seems to be producing a nether-hole. The bigger the hole gets the stronger it's pull. Eventually it will suck everything into it. Hulk thinks Pluto is a dope because he ill die too. Hulk and Thing charge Pluto, but Stranger stops them as brute force will do no good. Thing tries to calm Hulk, but Hulk has had enough and attacks Thing. Thing knocks Hulk back and a big boulder falls between them. Hulk rips it in two. They only stop fighting when they see that Pluto is about to kill Stranger. Hulk finally gets it and they go to help Stranger. The mindless minions attack them again. They defeat them all and Hulk says Thing isn't so stupid after all. Pluto blocks them with a barrier, but Thing realizes that the barrier is fueled by their own strength. Not resisting the field they walk through it. Hulk and Thing pull up Pluto's platform. Pluto falls into his own fire, and Thing rescues Stranger. Pluto is fed into the nether-hole. Stranger teleports them back to the desert. Ross and Betty emerge from Bruce's lab cured. Hulk leaves before Ross can call soldiers.

Captain America #257- Bruce Banner is gassed and kidnapped as he sleeps in a sleazy motel in the mid-west. Captain America is in Northern England and is captured by the Matrix Eight. Cap meets the Master of the Matrix Eight, an old assistant of Baron Zemo. Master shows Cap around his base. Bruce Banner sees Cap and calls out to him, but Cap either doesn't hear or doesn't respond to him. Bruce collapses in a heap. The Master shows Cap what they created by examining Banner's metabolism- the Gammadroid. Cap makes his stand and runs back to free Bruce. Cap frees Bruce, but Bruce is whining about being drugged and weak. Cap slaps Bruce to calm him down. Cap goes to fight the approaching troops. As he does Hulk picks Cap up from behind and asks what he is doing. Cap tells Hulk that the men he fights are his enemies…that they work for Banner. Hulk joins the fight. Hulk is trapped when a gun shoots Adhesive X all over him. Cap tries to help free Hulk hitting it with his shield. Hulk figures that this is an attack, and Cap goes with it insulting Hulk. Hulk gets angry and manages to break free of Adhesive X. Cap leads Hulk right to the Gammadroid to fight it. Hulk defeats the Gammadroid in two seconds. Hulk grabs Cap after Cap sets the place to blow up. Hulk is going to smash Cap, but some gas is piped in and Hulk changes back into Banner. Cap grabs Banner. Cap swims for a mile dragging Bruce behind. After they're on shore the Matrix Eight base explodes. Cap tells Bruce why he was in Northern England because it was the anniversary of Bucky's death. Cap and Bruce walk together.

Defenders #88- Bruce Banner stays alone on a yacht owned by Richmond Enterprises in order to try and avoid excitement so he won't change into the Hulk. The whale that the Hulk saved in Defenders #75 comes by and knocks Bruce off the boat and onto its back. The whale takes Bruce to a soviet ship that is killing whales. Bruce hulks out and Hulk goes to fight for the whales. Hellcat and Valkyrie come to the ship to see Bruce. When he is gone they find the Hulk attacking a whaling ship. Val and Hellcat try to calm Hulk down as the captain runs to them begging for help. Hulk says talking will only bring promises of stopping, but they'll keep killing the whales when Hulk is gone. Hulk will smash their machines. The captain says he is only doing his job. One crewman says that everyone knows the captain hates whales. The captain says it is because of all the deaths whales caused his whaling community. While they talk Hulk is blasted from behind by an explosive harpoon. Hulk says that's what he gets when he talks. Hulk rips through the boat sinking it. Val says Hulk should come with them. Hulk says he would rather go with his friends the whales and leaps away. Later Val falls out of her lifeboat fighting a giant squid. Hulk and his whale friends save her. Hulk rides the whale to the lifeboat and takes everyone, even the captain, to an American ship. From the ship Hulk waves goodbye to his whale friends.

Defenders #89- Val carries a sleeping Bruce Banner to one of Kyle's buildings. Kyle's lawyer tells Val to leave with Bruce quickly since the government is there seizing Kyle's possessions. Kyle gets a call that Hellcat's mother died. Later Bruce sits in Dr. Strange's house. Kyle takes Bruce to buy a suit for him to go to the funeral in…a purple suit.

Power Man and Iron Fist #65- Bruce Banner waits behind Luke Cage at the tailor. Luke Cage leaves with his new shirt and pants. Del picks up Doctor Banner's pants.

Defenders #89- Bruce and the others leave the grave as Patsy sits on her knees crying. Patsy inherited the house, and asks Bruce and the others to stay with her since Kyle is put out. Dolly, Hellcat's mother's maid (?) sends Valkyrie to the Food Acres to buy food for everyone, but after Val goes Dolly realizes that Val probably doesn't have any money. She sends Bruce with money, but Bruce is tripped and kicked by some thugs. Bruce hulks out, but Hulk doesn't chase the running thugs because he wants to go find Val. Hulk charges into the store. Val confronts some robbers, and Hulk walks up behind them. Val loses the shopping list and doesn't know what to buy. Hulk dumps the entire shelf of baked beans into the shopping cart and then dumps the entire cart on the check out counter. Hulk plops down his money, and though he is fifteen dollars short the manager doesn't say anything. Kyle, Val, and Patsy sit dejectedly with their beans as Hulk digs into his giant bowl all the while saying how much he likes beans. Hulk later falls asleep in front of the television.

Defenders #90- Bruce and the other Defenders awake to find that Nighthawk has gone off for his day in court already. They figure to grab a quick breakfast and join him, but Dolly reminds them that the only food they have is baked beans. Val and Hellcat give Bruce a dirty look, but Bruce says don't look at him he doesn't like the Hulk's taste in food anymore than they do. With their few remaining dollars they go to a fast food place made to seem like White Castle. Bruce and Val go to Strange's house so Bruce can get a suit, and then they go to court. Hellcat falls into the power of the Mandrill. Bruce tries to calm Valkyrie as she shouts out as the prosecuting attorney starts to bad mouth Kyle Richmond. Val flares up again, and the police come to forcibly remove her. Just then Hellcat and the Mandrill enter the courtroom. Mandrill wants revenge against the Defenders and Daredevil (who he has trapped). Mandrill's power gives him control over the female judge, and she orders Bruce taken into custody. Bruce hulks out. Nighthawk, who escaped during Val's rampage, frees Daredevil and as they return Nighthawk destroys Mandrill's ships engines. Hulk catches the plummeting ship. Mandrill escapes and as Daredevil goes after him Hulk grabs Daredevil's foot. Hulk says he thought Little-Man was dead, and remembers that he tried to help Hulk. Daredevil goes after Mandrill. Valkyrie, once again the Mandrill's slave, hits the Hulk. Hulk, reluctantly, hits back. He knocks her right to Aragon, and she mounts him and flies away.

Defenders #91- Hulk, Hellcat, Daredevil, and Nighthawk stand before the mind controlled judge. She orders Nighthawk arrested, but he takes off. Daredevil says he will chase him. The judge orders the others into custody. Hulk says he has heard enough to know the judge is crazy. He grabs Hellcat and leaps away. Daredevil follows Mandrill and finds that his plan involves a nuclear plant in upstate New York. While waiting for news Hulk eats an entire chicken. Daredevil lets the Defenders know where to go. Mandrill is in the plant trying to take over when the Defenders arrive. Hellcat stops Mandrill's Femforce by freeing them, but not before they get Mandrill access to he reactor core. Mandrill's mother runs away. Mandrill ducks inside the reactor core with his father who abandoned him long ago. The core was meant to withstand anything short of an atomic bomb. Nighthawk flies to get the Hulk, who had been dispersing the protestors outside because of the potential danger. Hulk follows Nighthawk because he wants to smash Monkey-Face. Hulk crashes through the wall, but Mandrill had withdrawn the rods that prevent a meltdown. Hulk pulls the rods back into place manually. The radiation given off transforms Hulk back into Banner. Mandrill's mother shoots him. Daredevil gets Bruce out of there before the authorities arrive. Val's mind is freed by Hellcat.

Defenders #92- Strange and Clea watch the Hulk as he sits on the floor and plays with figures. "Then Big-Wizard say to Flame-Head, 'Hello…want to come to my house and sing songs?'" Nighthawk arrives and Hulk asks Bird-Nose if he wants to have fun with him. Clea says Nighthawk seems upset, but that she'd love to be Big Wizard. As Nighthawk broods the group feels existence cease to exist for a second. Hulk asks if it a dumb magician trick. Strange goes blank as his astral self is pulled out to talk to Eternity. When he gets back Strange tells Hulk and the others that three beings that Eternity made to look around in the world never returned, and as Eternity is incomplete he might cease to exist. Hulk doesn't get it. Strange contacts Namor, Hellcat, Valkyrie, and Hellstrom. He contacts Surfer too, but Surfer is too busy pouting about being stuck on Earth to be worried about all Eternity…crybaby. Strange locates the children and breaks the Defenders into groups. Strange and Clea remain to try and strengthen Eternity. Hulk and Nighthawk are teleported to the USSR to find snowmen attacking people. Hulk says the story confused him, but he knows what to do now. Hulk starts smashing. The people thank them for defeating the monsters. Nighthawk finds out that a slow boy was taken by the monsters. They take off after the boy thinking he is one of the extensions of Eternity. Hulk and Nighthawk freeze in the air and drop. Hulk breaks himself out, and then breaks Nighthawk out. Hulk carries Nighthawk to an icehouse for help. When Hulk gets inside he finds himself in another dimension, with the other groups of Defenders, trapped by Eternity's "children" who don't want to go back. Hulk leaps at them, but is transformed into Banner. The three of them would rather destroy everything than go back into Eternity. They claim to have human emotions. Nighthawk makes them see it's their human side that will keep them from destroying everything. Later Bruce sits passed out on Strange's couch.

Defenders #93- In Strange's house Bruce asks Val and Clea what has been happening since Bruce has trouble recalling events as the Hulk. The group enjoys some chocolate chip ice cream. Nighthawk collapses and Bruce tries to revive him. Bruce gets too excited and turns into the Hulk. Hulk threatens Strange that he better fix Bird-Nose the way he did before. Nighthawk is paralyzed. The Defenders have to go find out why Namor is attacking the surface again. As they leave the hospital Hulk tells Nighthawk he'll be back to take care of him. As soon as they teleport in Hulk is jumped by a bunch of Atlantean soldiers. Hulk clears them off. Hulk starts throwing the Atlantean tanks into each other. Namor orders a sonic attack. Hulk, and the others, collapses. Namor keeps the Defenders locked up. Hulk is kept in a cage bubble that keeps gassing him. Valkyrie attacks "Dorma" who talked Namor into invading. "Dorma" was really the shapeshifter Nebulon. He was mentally controlling Namor. Hulk and Namor hit Nebulon together. Nebulon is arrested by his own people. Hulk scratches his head.

Incredible Hulk annual #11- flashback- Bruce is strapped into a chair as Dr. Rikki Keegan tries to tell Bruce that she is working with a man to try and find a cure for him. Keegan draws some blood from Bruce. Bruce sees that the "man" is the Leader. Bruce tries to tell Keegan, but Leader has already told her that Bruce is delusional. Leader anesthetizes Bruce, but Bruce made himself angry activating the cure. Bruce delays the transformation to try and make the Hulk understand what he has to do. Leader senses Banner is loose. Bruce shouts that the threat is in the water.

Incredible Hulk annual #11- Bruce sits strapped to a chair showing himself the Leader's plans. He tries to make the Hulk understand so he will do what he has to. As Dr. Rikki Keegan and the humanoids come into the room Bruce hulks out. Hulk starts fighting with the humanoids. When the Leader storms into the room Hulk remembers what Bruce was trying to tell him. Hulk storms out of Omnivac and falls to the world below. An epidemic of something called the Gamma Flu. Hulk wanders around trying to remember what he is supposed to do. Spider-Man thinks, as the running crowd does, maybe the Hulk is the cause of the Gamma Flu. Spidey asks Hulk for a sample of his blood. Hulk freaks out that Bug-Man wants his blood. Being asked for blood causes Hulk to recall Leader withdrawing his blood. Hulk mumbles to Spider-Man that there is something about the water he must remember. Hulk hits Spider-Man angry as he remembers the Leader. Hulk leaps away. Spider-Man has the Gamma Flu. As it rains Hulk realizes that rain is water, but not the water he needs to find. The Avengers arrive. Cap hits Hulk with his shield. Iron Man blasts Hulk with a repulsor ray. Hulk grabs Iron Man. Iron Man suddenly has the Green Flu. Hulk hits Iron Man through the quinjet. Vision becomes diamond hard, but as Hulk goes to hit him Vision wimps out and becomes intangible. Hulk says he would like to fight, but the images in his head tell him he must do something. Hulk picks up a chunk of ground. Hulk leaps down the hole he created. The Avengers follow. Hulk finally finds the water source. He starts to attack the machines that are spreading Leader's Green Flu. Captain America realizes that the Hulk has found the source of the Green Flu. The Avengers help Hulk smash the machines. Leader's humanoids attack. Dr. Rikki Keegan, who was transformed by Leader's Green Flu, turns on the Leader. Spurned the Leader shoots her with the cure. Hulk yells out in Bruce's voice, "Rikki!" Hulk leaps at Leader, and the two are washed away in the water system. The Avengers use the cure in Keegan to cure everyone.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #255- Hulk sits on the Jersey side of the Hudson River. Hulk walks down to the bridge. Several car swerve to miss Hulk. Hulk is stopped by the tollbooth telling him to pay $1.50. Hulk smashes the tool booth and walks on. Hulk is told to stop by a blockade of police cars. They shoot at Hulk, but of course it doesn't stop Hulk. Hulk throws an empty police car off the bridge. They try to gas the Hulk, but Hulk just climbs down the side of the bridge. Hulk runs into a homeless man. The man is not afraid of Hulk. The man wanted to sleep inside a lighthouse, but the door is welded shut. Hulk rips the door off, and they go inside to sleep. In the morning Bruce discovers he is in New York. Bruce hops on a train marked Santa Fe. Don Blake is volunteering at a YMCA near the railyard when a guard discovers Bruce. Bruce runs away, but runs into the path of a train. Hulk pushes the front of the train stopping it from hitting him. Don Blake becomes Thor. Thor flies to Hulk's side and tries to find out why Hulk is so angry. Hulk says he does what he does because he has power. Hulk hits Thor. Hulk says he remembers Long-Hair as another who said he was his friend, but then tried to capture him. Hulk says he will beat Thor like he did last time. Hulk tries to tie Thor up in a rail, but Thor hits with his hammer. Thor says Hulk is delusional if he thinks he beat Thor. Hulk picks up a train car, and hits Thor with it. Satisfied Hulk leaps away. Thor chases him. Later Hulk emerges from the back of a truck to tell the car next to him to shut up his honking. A cop confronts Hulk. Hulk has crushed his gun and has his arm as Thor arrives. Thor says to release the officer. Hulk throws the cop to Thor. Thor and Hulk start fighting again. Hulk hits Thor into the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel. Hulk pushes cars over as he comes after Thor. Thor says the people run from Hulk, but Hulk shows him how they ran from both of them. Hulk throws a van into the tunnel's ceiling. Thor realizes that he was not acting in the interest of those he is sworn to protect. As Thor looks at some kids and their mother Hulk hits Thor. Thor gets up on a truck to aid support to the weakening ceiling. Hulk sees Thor's hammer on the ground. He remembers that he couldn't lift it. Hulk tries for 60 seconds at which point it turns back into Don Blake's cane. Don tries to tell Hulk that Thor lives inside him like Banner lives in Hulk. Hulk tosses Don aside saying that Hulk is Hulk, not Banner. Hulk walks away, and Thor remains to save the people in the tunnel. Hulk climbs aboard a large boat.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #256- The government cuts the funding for Gamma Base. The Hulk's boat pulls into the Israeli port city of Tel Aviv. The cargo Bruce Banner sleeps on is pulled up by a crane. Bruce awakens and sees the net. He thinks he is captured and hulks out. Hulk knocks the shipment over. Hulk is attacked by soldiers. The Hulk defeats them all and storms off. The policewoman that called the military in changes into Sabra and goes after Hulk. Hulk changes into Banner. Bruce sees a boy being chased for stealing a watermelon. Bruce covers for him, and while they eat the melon Bruce and the boy, who learned English from tourists, talk. Sahad and Bruce become friends. Sahad begs for some money and goes to buy food to treat Bruce. While Sahad is in the store it blows up. Seeing his new young friend among the rubble causes Bruce to hulk out. Hulk attacks the Arab terrorists. Sabra arrives and assumes Hulk is with the terrorists. She shoots Hulk with energy quills. Hulk smacks Sabra, but her quills weakened him. Sabra shoots more. Hulk barely manages to tip a bus over. Sabra keeps shooting Hulk, and Hulk staggers off weakened. Hulk sees Sahad and gets angry. Hulk hits Sabra, and takes Sahad as he leaps away. Sabra follows Hulk and accuses him of killing the boy. Hulk yells at Sabra saying the boy was his friend. Hulk says the boy died because two old books say that his people and Sabra's people must try to kill each other for the land. Hulk says that the boy didn't even read books. Hulk leaps away disgusted. Sabra hangs her head in shame.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #257- After wandering in the desert the Hulk finally collapses and turns into Bruce Banner. Bruce is rescued by Abdul. Five days later Bruce is recovering in Abdul's tent as his wife Maya gives Bruce water. Bruce finds that he is now in Egypt. Bruce looks outside the tent and sees the "discovery of the century" the tomb of Gog and Magog. Bruce is taken to meet the head of the archeology dig Dr. Hassan Kareem. Dr. Kareem tells Bruce of the legend of Gog and Magog. After Moses fled Egypt a wizard named Nephut-Sha had the Dark God Seth turn him into two beasts Gog and Magog. The new pharaoh was afraid of God's wrath and had the two beasts entombed alive. Dr. Kareem starts talking about awakening the beasts and the cave begins to collapse. Abdul gets out and finds a scimitar and flying carpet. He becomes the Arabian Knight. Dr. Kareem is transformed into Gog and Magog. Following them out of the cave however is the Hulk. Gog and Magog attack Hulk. The Arabian Knight orders them to halt. Knight says he is the mystic guardian that will defeat them. Gog and Magog recall being entombed a second time. Hulk is sick of talking and knocks Gog and Magog off. Magog attacks Hulk while Gog deals with the Arabian Knight. Hulk leaps into the mountain using Magog as a battering ram. Hulk hits Magog and knocks him out. Knight comes down to thank his friend Dr. Banner. Hulk smacks Abdul saying he is not Banner. Gog runs back into his crypt. Hulk and Knight follow. Hulk is jumped by Magog. Knight gets Gog into his tomb, and Hulk fights with Magog. Knight starts the fuse to a box of dynamite and flees. The cavern explodes. Knight thinks how sorry he is for Banner, but Hulk emerges shortly after Knight leaves. Hulk leaps away.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #258- Talbot tracks the Hulk in the War-Wagon. Hulk lands in Afghanistan. A dazed man walks past him. Hulk is attacked by soldiers. The soviets order an air strike. The planes drop napalm on the Hulk. Hulk leaps right through one of the planes. He lands on the other and starts trashing it. Hulk hits the power source and is held by the electricity as the plane flies off. The soldier tells his officer that the plane is set towards the forbidden zone. The Soviet Super Soldiers are sent into the Forbidden Zone to deal with Sergei, the Presence, as the Zone is now growing. Hulk finally smashes the rest of the plane and drops to the ground. Hulk remembers the Forbidden Zone from the time he was there with the Defenders (Defenders #55). Hulk happens upon Sergei and Red Guardian locked in some type of powerful embrace. The Super Soldiers arrive. A mysterious fourth party shoots Hulk in the back to set up the Soldiers. Darkstar tries to encase the Hulk, but Hulk breaks free knocking Darkstar unconscious. Crimson Dynamo and Hulk collide. Dynamo blasts Hulk. Hulk leaps and grabs Dynamo's foot. Dynamo tries to get him off by blasting his foot jet into Hulk's face, but Hulk slams Dynamo against the ground and throws him away. URSA Major grabs Hulk in a full nelson. Hulk breaks the hold, but Major charges Hulk. As they fight the two are noticed by Sergei. Sergei breaks off from the power manipulation long enough to blast Hulk and URSA Major. Sergei transforms the pair into their human forms so they don't break anything.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #259- Bruce asks where he is. Red Guardian tells him he is in the Forbidden Zone. Presence says that Bruce might be able to aid them, but they have no time as the other Super Soldiers are coming as well as another. Prescene freezes them. Bruce notices that despite being excited he isn't becoming the Hulk. Professor Phobos, the mystery figure, frees them and introduces himself to Banner. He explains to Banner that Sergei is trying to expand the Forbidden Zone, and asks for his help to stop him. While the Soldiers stall Presence and Guardian Bruce helps Phobos create a stasis field to contain Sergei's power. Sergei and Guardian find Bruce and Phobos. Sergei says Phobos desires their destruction. Bruce activates the field trapping Sergei. Phobos is stealing their power. Phobos has always been a power parasite even as he trained the Soviet Super Soldiers as children. Phobos is the one trying to expand the Forbidden Zone. Vanguard and Darkstar are really Sergei's supposed dead children. Phobos wants to expand the Forbidden Zone to create more mutants for him to leech power off. Phobos blasts Banner. Sergei reverses the mental block that prevented Hulk and URSA Major from transforming. URSA Major and Hulk are not affected by Phobos' mind powers as they are too bestial. Hulk tears Phobos' power draining armor off him. With their machines that prevented the spread of the Forbidden Zone Sergei and Red Guardian sacrifice themselves to save the world.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #260- Of the shore of Mount Kuroishi the Hulk is fished out of the water by a local fisherman. As the fisherman cowers afraid of the "demon" he just fished out Hulk spots land. Hulk is hungry and leaps off the boat to land. Hulk sees a statue of Buddha. Their is a food offering that Hulk picks up and eats because the statue can't eat it. Hulk figures that they leave the food because they are afraid of the statue the way they fear Hulk. He thinks maybe it is because they are both green. Hulk decides to hang out and see if anymore food comes. The Hulk is finally attacked by Talbot and the War-Wagon. Hulk hurls a rock at the ship, but the ship destroys it with a sonic pulse. Talbot takes control of the ship manually overriding the computer. He fires a missile at Hulk. Hulk smashes it. Enraged Hulk leaps at the ship. Talbot electrifies the ship sending Hulk to the ground. Hulk lands near Buddha, and Hulk tells his friend he will protect it. Talbot rains fire down upon the mountain activating the volcano. Talbot tries to keep Hulk on the volcano with sonics, but Hulk leaps up and hits the machine. Talbot feels the hit himself through the helmet he wears because he controls the ship. Talbot feels all the pain the War-Wagon absorbs. Talbot increases the sonics knocking Hulk off. Hulk is going mad. He smashes the ground and a spurt of lava shoots onto the War-Wagon. The War-Wagon falls to the ground on fire. Hulk leaps away with the Buddha statue. Hulk lands near an old man who wants to defend a much larger Buddha statue. Hulk uses the statue to plow a barrier. The old man bows to Hulk. As Hulk leaps away he tells the old man to take care of this place because it made him feel good.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #262- Bruce Banner is found unconscious on the beach by an all white woman and her all white dog. The woman gives Bruce mouth to mouth. Bruce wakes up for a moment, but passes out after thanking the woman and telling her she is beautiful. Bruce awakens the next day in an all white house. He puts on the all white clothes laid out for him. Glazier introduces herself and her dog Snowstar. Glazier tells Bruce that she is an artist, and that her medium is glass. She shows Bruce dozens of glass men statues. Bruce cannot resist Glazier when she says she wants to make a statue of Bruce "that I might hold you here…forever." A month later Bruce is bored out of his mind. Glazier finally wants to start sculpting him. Glazier takes off her gloves revealing her hands are made of glass. She says that after a man broke her heart Glazier gained the power to transform whatever she touches provided it is under a full moon. She grabs Bruce and he starts to turn into glass. Bruce hulks out however. Glazier wanted Bruce in mid-transformation, but the effect doesn't seem to affect Hulk. Hulk throws Snowstar. Glazier forgets she has no gloves, and when she tries to catch Snowstar he turns to glass. Hulk's weight is too much for Glazier's all glass house. It collapses. Glazier apparently touched herself as she is now all glass under the ocean.

Marvel Team Up #104- Hulk stands atop the Golden Gate Bridge with a young girl in his arms. The police surround him. One cop climbs up and the girl tells Hulk that she wants to go with the man. Hulk sees it is hard for the man to carry her down, and offers to help. The cops on the ground shoot Hulk off the bridge into the water. Hulk climbs up on a dock. He sits there calmed by the ocean and turns into Bruce. Bruce gets some clothes and food from the Salvation Army. Bruce meets a sailor who offers Bruce his place on a ship. Bruce works for weeks on the ship. One day he is yelled at for approaching an off limits area. Bruce and another worker suspect something is wrong. They sneak into the restricted area to find dozens of high tech ships. They find M.O.D.O.K. Modok stun blasts Bruce and the man. Modok orders Bruce be kept under heavy sedation. Bruce is stunned Modok knows him. Later Bruce and the other prisoners are brought onto the Savage Land. Modok tells Bruce that he and the others will serve as the bait "that will lure the beasts". Modok orders the release of the somna-gas. Modok knocks out a T-Rex. Kazar tries to help but is knocked out also. Modok orders Bruce and Kazar thrown into the ship's pit with all the dinosaurs Modok captured. Bruce hulks out. Hulk breaks his chains. Kazar tricks Hulk into breaking his chains, and then turns Hulk's attention to fighting the dinosaurs. After defeating them Hulk leaps through the ceiling onto the deck's ship. Modok orders them to be shot with the somna-cannon, but Hulk leaps next to it. Modok blasts Hulk. Hulk gets up and throws the cannon at Modok. Modok mindblasts it back onto the Hulk. Modok comes close. Hulk grabs Modok's suit and rips him out of it revealing Modok's tiny body inside the suit. Hulk advances as Modok continues his mindblast. Zabu hits Modok from the side knocking him out. Hulk leaps out of the Savage Land.

Marvel Team Up #105- Hulk sees a plane and leaps at it to show men to leave them alone. Hulk smashes the wing and the plane goes down. The plane contained Iron Fist, Power Man, and their friend. Some hillbilly's think Cage is Hulk they threaten to shoot the girl if Hulk doesn't help them. The real Hulk finds Iron Fist. Iron Fist tries to fight Hulk, but doesn't even hurt him. Iron Fist powers up his iron fist punch, but the light mesmerizes the Hulk and he changes into Bruce Banner. They follow the footprints of the hillbillies. When they get there the old man is hitting Cage because his daughter gave him some water. Bruce hulks out. Fist tries to stop Hulk from smashing the old man. Cage joins him. They fight for a bit. Cage gets Hulk to smash a boulder that was blocking the hillbillies' water supply. The old man wants his gun to shoot Hulk. Soldiers arrive. The old man is going to shoot when his daughter tries to stop him. The old man hits her and Hulk starts getting really angry. While the old man looks at Hulk Cage smacks the old man one. Hulk is satisfied and as the soldiers start to come Hulk leaps away.

Dazzler #6- Bruce tries to get a janitor's job at Gordon University. He has heard they're doing some top secret genetic research, and is hoping to sneak a peek. Bruce has no social security card though so he isn't hired. Bruce runs outside to take a tranquilizer. Dazzler's stagehand offers Bruce ten bucks to help set up for her concert. Bruce figures that afterwards he'll break in to try and see the research. Bruce gets ready to go, but Dazzler says he should stay for the show. Bruce breaks a window and climbs into the building from a tree. Bruce doesn't see the camera that spots him. As Bruce runs from the guards he drops his tranquilizers and changes into the Hulk. The men run. Hulk wants to leave, but accidentally chooses an elevator shaft and falls down it. Hulk comes up through Dazzler's stage. Hulk sees Dazzler, who is wearing a hat for her country western show, and thinks she is a sheriff. Dazzler blasts Hulk making him dizzy. Hulk grabs a chunk of wall to block Dazzler's power. Dazzler creates an illusion of a tank, and Hulk throws the wall. Hulk tries to hit Dazzler, but misses and hits a power console. Hulk falls down, and Dazzler rushes to see if he is okay. Hulk knocks her away and starts rampaging. Hulk crashes through the wall and Dazzler follows.

Dazzler #7- Dazzler follows Hulk from building to building as he trashes them. Dazzler distracts Hulk from some students. Hulk throws a pool table at her instead of them. Dazzler tries her light powers again. Hulk shades his eyes and swings wildly. Dazzler builds speed on her skates and barrels into Hulk, but only bounces off. Hulk sees soldiers. The soldiers are all locals and when they see Hulk with a chunk of wall above his head they run. Helicopters drop gas grenades on Hulk. Hulk hits the helicopter with a rock. "The Grappler" is a tank that shoots titanium cables at Hulk. Hulk snaps the cables and swings the tank around and around. Hulk goes into the Hall of Science to think. Dazzler follows. Hulk starts smashing because the place reminds him of Banner. Hulk suddenly sees some puppies in cages. He goes to release them. Dazzler realizes that if they just leave Hulk alone that he'll calm down. Dazzler blasts some soldiers away from Hulk, but Hulk thinks she is attacking again. Dazzler apologizes to Hulk for thinking he was a monster. Dazzler performs a soothing light show and Hulk turns into Banner. Bruce comes with Dazzler. Dazzler has Bruce hide in a box that they drive back to their studio. When they get out to eat Bruce gets out and escapes. He reaches into the clothes Dazzler gave him and finds 200 dollars. Banner swears to return the favor someday.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #262- Bruce is walking down the street when a hysterical kid runs into him. A man and a woman catch the boy and drug him. Bruce says they have to right to drug him, but the man reveals that he is the boy's father. The boy says as he passes out that they are lying and he can't be their child. Bruce discovers that the man is the one Bruce came to about a job at the LA Valley Clinic. Bruce gets the job. Bruce's co-worker tells Bruce that the boy thinks his parents are aliens. One night Bruce hears a loud noise and sees the Dr. Sarkan, the father, being knocked through a wall. Dr. Sarkan tells Bruce about the day the boy crash landed from space. The boy is a Dire Wraith. The Wraith attacks and Bruce changes. Hulk fights the Wraith until Dr. Sarkan administers a sedative to the Wraith. The Wraith turns back into the boy. Hulk calls the boy a monster. Sarkan asks what Hulk is then, and Hulk leaps off angry yelling that he too is a monster.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #263- During a rainstorm a cop accidentally drives his patrol car into the Hulk on the Santa Monica Freeway. Hulk was going to smash him, but a tremor loosened the piece of freeway Hulk was on loose and Hulk falls. Hulk looks up to see an illuminated figure. Hulk climbs to follow the being. Avalanche disables Rick and Betty's plane. They've coming looking for Hulk. Hulk's "shiny-man" is really Landslide (Hulk met in Marvel Treasury Edition #25). Landslide came to stop Avalanche from endangering Mole Man. Hulk recognizes Betty and an injured Rick. Hulk turns to go, but Betty asks for help. Hulk shouts why should he help, but then yells for earthmovers to stop fighting. Hulk hits the ground and knocks them both over. Avalanche attacks Hulk. With the runway destroyed Hulk manages to catch and stop a commercial flight by himself. Hulk walks past Betty and Rick to get Avalanche for trying to hurt him. Avalanche is beating Landslide when Hulk picks Avalanche up from behind and throws him. Avalanche hits the control tower. Hulk tries to leap on him, but hits the building too. Avalanche knocks the tower onto Hulk. Hulk catches it. Avalanche blasts it apart, and then blasts the Hulk again. Avalanche runs out of power and collapses. The LAPD shows up. Hulk grabs Rick and Betty and leaps away with them.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #264- As Corrupter's Night Flyer looks for Hulk, Hulk is in a cave with Betty and Rick. They need to rest on their way to the original gamma bombsite. Rick and Betty try to explain his own origin to Hulk. Hulk starts shouting that he is Hulk not Banner, but calms down when Rick says he wants to free Banner and Hulk from each other. Hulk changes into Banner and collapses. Rick uses his wrist radio to contact the Dweeb Brigade. They get in "Specs" van. Night Flyer had been monitoring the Geek Brigade's frequency and now follows their van. Flyer blows a tire. Rick figures he followed their signal. He has all the teens go in separate directions to throw Flyer off the trail. Night Flyer chases each of the kids first, but "Wheels" gives up their spot because he doesn't want to be dropped. Flyer finally finds Banner and shoots him with quills. Bruce hulks out. Hulk pulls Flyer off his glider. Flyer shoots Hulk with fire from his fingertips. Hulk throws Flyer, but Flyer's glider saves him. Hulk leaps onto Flyer's glider and crashes it into the ground. Flyer shoots two javelins at Hulk. One goes through Betty's shoulder. Hulk freaks. Hulk hits the glider not realizing that it is connected to Flyer. Flyer returns to his state of ash. Hulk screams with Betty in his arms. The Corrupter touches Hulk's shoulder. Hulk swings his arm at Rick. Corrupter tells Rick to call in the Avengers on his wrist radio so the Hulk can kill them. Corrupter has Betty.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #265- Corruptor forces Rick to signal the Avengers, but his hideout prevents the signal from getting to New York. Corruptor is impatient waiting for the Avengers to arrive. He orders Hulk to kill Rick. The call is answered instead by Red Wolf, Firebird, Night Rider, Texas Twister, and Shooting Star. Night Rider's horse kicks Hulk through the wall of Corrupter's hideout. Red Wolf catapults into Hulk. Red Wolf climbs onto Hulk's back. As Hulk pulls them off Firebird blasts Hulk in the back. Hulk turns to Firebird and Shooting Star. He hits the ground and the sand that blows at them knocks them over. Texas Twister tries to pull Hulk up, but Hulk grabs his foot and throws him. Shooting Star accidentally hits Night Rider. Hulk hits Rider into Shooting Star. Hulk defeats Red Wolf. Hulk stands over the defeated Rangers. Rick runs out and tries to reason with Hulk. He says he wants to help Hulk. Hulk pauses and turns into Bruce Banner. Banner grabs Red Wolf's staff and goes to knock the Corrupter down with it. Red Wolf's wolf downs him instead. The Rangers arrest Corrupter. After the Teen Brigade's parents show up Bruce vows to find a cure for himself.

Defenders #99- flashback- Clea is contacted by a false Dr. Strange. She summons Hulk, Namor, and Surfer to help. Upon entering the dimension the four were taken prisoner by the demons.

Defenders #98- The Defenders are called in to confront the six fingered hand. The hand has taken a swamp in Florida near the nexus of all realities. The Defenders go into the tear that is swallowing all reality. Inside a six-fingered hand directs the Defenders to the six demons in charge of the hands. Maya, the chairmen of the demons, introduces the Defenders to the guests of honor. Lying on the ground inside bubbles are the Hulk, Namor, Clea, and the Silver Surfer.

Defenders #99- When Clea tells Strange how they came to be captured Strange hears the anguish in Clea's voice. He tries to free them, but only causes them to scream. The containing bubbles are tied to their life forces. As the demons lead the Defenders away and leave the others behind Isaac the Gargoyle also remains behind. As Strange manages to free the citizens of Citrusville from the demons' control Isaac leads Hulk, Clea, Namor, and Surfer to the fight. Surfer blasts one of the demons. Suddenly the six demons shrink to a six-inch size. Clea reveals how Isaac freed them. Isaac siphons and shoots life force. He gave them added life force and allowed them to break out of the bubbles. Suddenly Maya reveals himself to be Mephisto. Elsewhere Hellcat takes Nighthawk to Satan, Hellstrom's father. Mephisto traps all the Defenders inside a bubble. He tells Strange that his teleporting around the globe has made Mephisto and his other allies' plan possible. Mephisto then says that when Eternity's children nearly caused the end of existence that the time was right to strike because existence was strained thin. Strange's teleporting spell just made the portals from the underworld weaker. Mephisto transports the capsule cage to Earth to show the Defenders- Hell on Earth.

Defenders #100- Satan stands with the possessed Hellcat and Nighthawk. Satan's underlings Mephisto, Thog, and Satannish were manipulating the Defenders all along. Satan drops the prison. Hellstrom, Hulk, and Namor charge Satan. Satan has Hellcat turn their own latent evils against them. They writhe in agony on the floor. Everyone stands open mouthed as Satan reveals that Patsy Walker, like Hellstrom, is one of his offspring. Nighthawk tries to talk to Hellcat, but Hellcat throws him. Hulk catches Nighthawk. Satan and Strange make arrangements for the endgame. Strange must expose the light in darkness' heart. Six days, six hours, and six minutes are required for Hell to gain control of Earth. The Defenders are to match up in games against Mephisto, Satannish, and Thog to save the earth. Hellstrom is left behind for a father/son talk. The Hulk is paired up with Namor and Strange. They are transported to Bald Mountain the site of one of their first fights as a group against Dormammu. Hulk and Namor charge up to go defeat the volcano's core. Inside the mountain they meet a reconstruction of their battle against Dormammu's minions, except the minions are really Satannish's demons. Hulk and Namor defeat them all. They cannot see Strange, but are forced to press on. Inside the volcano Hulk and Namor see images of Xemnu and Yandroth's machine. Hulk attacks Xemnu while Namor fights Yandroth. Strange awakens, and sends his astral form into the volcano. There he finds Satannish holding two sets of Hulks and Namors. He drops them both into the volcano. Strange uses the Eye of Agammatto to determine which are the real ones. Strange catches them. He starts to pull them out when the volcano erupts. Nighthawk, Isaac, and Devil-Slayer have a similar encounter with Thog. Surfer, Clea, and Valkyrie deal with Mephisto. After each groups apparent victories the assembled groups appear together before Satan. Strange must vow not to interfere as Hellstrom challenges Satan. As the fight goes Hellstrom is losing quickly. Strange breaks his vow and acts as a channel for the Defenders to send Hellstrom their strength. Satan still triumphs, but cannot kill Hellstrom. The Defenders win because they exposed the light in Satan's heart. Hellstrom must return with Satan as he is nothing but darksoul. Satan frees Hellcat, and hints that she was never his daughter. Satan is also pleased he got the Defenders to break their vow. The earth returns to normal.

Defenders #101- Back in Strange's house Hulk asks why everyone is sad since they won. Hellcat starts yelling at Hulk for the price they paid for victory- Hellstrom is in Hell. Hulk picks Hellcat up by the waist with one hand. Hellcat back flips out of Hulk's hands and apologizes. She says she has been on edge. She asks if Hulk forgives her. He pushes her onto the couch and says no. He says that with everyone acting like this there is no reason for him to want to be with them. He leaps out of Strange's house and away.

Incredible Hulk annual #10- Bruce Banner was recognized as he hitchhiked. Bruce loses them, but after coming to a fence blocking his way Bruce surrenders to the change. Hulk rips through the fence and into a restricted air force base. Hulk is spotted by security cameras. An air strike is ordered to try and protect the five minutemen ICBM missiles they have there. Hulk pulls up a chunk of ground that was covering one of the silos. Hulk destroys one of the jets. Sidewinder missiles are shot at Hulk. The missiles knock out communications between the launching room and the control center. A whacko in the launching room figures they must be under attack and shoots his CO in order to begin launching procedure. It's for this reason that as the sidewinders hit Hulk is torn in two. He is now the Hulk, and he is faced with a Bruce Banner that has been given the power of Captain Universe. Hulk recognizes Banner. He says others have hurt Hulk, but only Banner can send him away. Hulk will smash Banner. Bruce recognizes that he is Captain Universe. He thinks that maybe he has been granted the power to kill the Hulk and himself since he doesn't see any other threat around. Banner refuses to do it, and backflips away from Hulk. Suddenly the silo opens. Hulk nearly falls in. Hulk figures this is Banner's doing and attacks. Banner shoots Hulk with blasts from his hands. After a commando unit runs past them as they fight Banner realizes that the missile is the real threat. While distracted Banner is hit full on by the Hulk. He goes sailing through a helicopter. Bruce looks over again as the missile is beginning to launch. Hulk says he knows not to think while fighting. Banner realizes that it must be his influence when inside the Hulk that causes him to think. Banner zaps Hulk with the Uni-power. Banner tries using gamma rays to cure the Hulk, but realizes he won't turn back into human form because HE IS the human form. Hulk grabs Banner in a bearhug. Banner tries to make Hulk see that they are the same person, but Hulk says that Hulk is Hulk. Banner eyeblasts Hulk to get loose. The psycho below launches the missile. Banner flies after it. Hulk follows and leaps onto the missile. Hulk says he will not let Banner do what the wants even if it destroys the world. Hulk figures he will be fine, but Banner will die if Earth dies. Hulk grabs Banner and throws him off the missile. Banner flies over and takes the Captain Universe mask off, but that only gets him a smack in the face from Hulk. Banner does what he must to save Earth. He activates the bomb with Hulk on it before it enters Soviet airspace. Banner and Hulk start to remerge- both are protected by the Uni-power. Banner uses the power to get rid of all the radiation in the atmosphere. At sea, Banner is himself again as he starts to swim towards land.

Marvel Team Up #111- A Serpent-Man disguised as Devil-Slayer shows Spider-Man how the Defenders were captured by the Serpent-Men. Hulk is seen being carried off by the Serpent-Men. They were simply using Spider-Man to get a statue. Spidey frees the captured Defenders. Together they trash the Serpent-men. Hulk throws some of them through a wall. Hulk tells Bug-Man he did good as Spider-Man suddenly collapses.

Marvel Fanfare #17- Hulk is leaping along when he sees a lake. Hulk goes and takes a drink. Hulk leaps again, but collapses as the water was poisoned with radiation. Hulk wakes up later. Hulk sees a mother deep standing nearby as her baby is caught in a trap. Hulk opens the trap. The hunters realize to late that they just shot the Hulk. Hulk throws a giant boulder at the two hunters. Hulk hears another shot and goes to find the humans. The shot was actually two rams butting heads. Hulk picks them up, but he is too late as one is already dead. Hulk finds some clean water. He gets hungry and grabs a fish out of the water. Hulk realizes that killing the fish would be like human killing the deer. He throws the fish back. Hulk sees animals killing each other. Suddenly Hulk sees a bunch of animals running from a forrest fire started by the earlier hunters' cigarettes. A bear is running towards Hulk. Hulk has to throw it to stop him from running over him. The bear thinks Hulk is attacking him. Hulk hits the bear killing it. Hulk is sad, but the bear didn't understand. Hulk realizes the irony as he thinks he is like the bear sometimes. Hulk leaps from the fire, but lands in tar as he avoids hitting a plane. Two lumberjacks see Hulk is stuck in the mud. They cut a tree down or him to climb out. Hulk wanted to thank them, but they left. Hulk goes to sleep on some grass.

The Death of Captain Marvel Graphic Novel- Hulk is with Strange and Namor when they receive the news that Mar-Vell is dying of cancer.

Silver Surfer vol. 3 #14- flashback-

The Death of Captain Marvel Graphic Novel- Hulk stands on the stairs smiling at Tigra as they wait for an audience with the dying Captain Mar-Vell. Later Hulk is gathered around the bed as Mar-Vell dies.

Defenders #107- Hulk arrives at Nighthawk and Valkyrie's funeral. Hawkeye questions the intelligence of inviting Hulk, but Strange sticks up for Hulk saying they were his friends. Hulk cries. After the funeral Hulk returns with the other Defenders to Strange's house. Hellcat tells them how she saw Valkyrie's ghost. Gargoyle tells Hellcat it might be the stress. Hulk picks Hellcat up and tells her that he believes her. Suddenly Hulk and the others see the ghost too. Hulk sits with the others in a séance. Val tells them that her spirit is trapped in Limbo. Val did not inhabit her true body so she couldn't really die. They decide they have to go to Asgard to get Val's body for her. Val's sword sucks up her soul. Suddenly the Enchantress arrives saying the Defenders must help her or Valkyrie will die.

Defenders #108- Hulk goes to smash Enchantress, but she has Val talk to them through the sword. Enchantress tells the Defenders that she has Val's real body guarded. Enchantress says that she needs the Defenders to get for her the Rose of Purity, but that when they do she will let the Valkyrie live again. After debating if they should do what Enchantress asks and if they should send Barbara Norriss' soul into the afterlife Hulk make sit clear that he is going to save Sword-Girl. Hellstrom and Namor agree to help. Strange, Gargoyle, Spider-Man, and Beast refuse to go. Strange contacted them through their minds to remain behind. They go to their plan. Hulk and the others are teleported to the location of the Rose of Purity. Val says through the sword that she finds this act unconscionable. The group hears music and follow it to find a red woman playing a lyre, and a giant blue, four eyed, tenatacled man dancing next to the Rose of Purity. The blue man welcomes the Defenders and tells them of how the Rose is their god. He shows them how the Rose transforms the lifeless planet into a paradise. The others start getting real comfy until Hulk says that while the world is nice they have come for the Rose so that Sword-Girl can live. The blue man shouts no, but Hulk hits him and shouts yes. Hulk, Namor, and Hellstrom fight the blue guy. Hellcat goes to hack the Rose down but Val, inside the sword, resists her. The red woman tells Hellcat to look and see what they've done. Hellcat cannot bring herself to cut the Rose down. She tells the guy's to stop fighting. Enchantress wants to know what is going on. They refuse her, and Enchantress says she will abandon them there. Other events lead to Val getting her body back.

Defenders #109- When Val gets her body back Strange goes to bring the others back. Hellcat is there, but for some reason Hulk, Namor, and Hellstrom are missing. The three missing heroes fall in a realm beyond sanity. They fall through a hole and collapse on a world. Hulk, Namor, and Hellstrom are greeted by Nighthawk. Val remains in Asgard, but after Strange gets the others back to Earth he goes off to look for Hulk and the others. Strange is sucked into the same portal as the others. He sees Nighthawk, Hulk, Namor, and Hellstrom together.

Defenders #111- Hulk asks how Bird-Nose can be alive. Nighthawk says he will explain later, but right now that have to deal with Hyperion. Nighthawk shows them Hyperion laid out in a bed.

Defenders #112- Dr. Strange contacts the other Defenders across dimensions and then teleports them to him. Bruce Banner is working at the teleporter. He tells everyone to wait until Strange's astral form has re-united with his body. Valkyrie comes and embraces Bruce. When Val sees Nighthawk alive she absent-mindedly casts Bruce aside. Scarlet Witch probabilities Bruce into Gargoyle's arm so he doesn't fall. Nighthawk shows them a tape of this Earth's president, one Kyle Richmond, being mind controlled by the Overmind, and how he came to take over the planet. Nighthawk says that whatever pulled Hulk and the others there rescued him right before the explosion that supposedly killed him. Hyperion tells them that Overmind is building an armada on the moon to take over the universe.

Defenders #113- Bruce stands by as Hellstrom heals Hyperion. Surfer and Vision are going to run up to the moon to scout the armada. Bruce is going to try and fix the teleporter so they can teleport the others up in order to stop Overmind. Bruce gets frustrated as he can only restore the teleporter to one quarter its power. Bruce hulks out from the frustration. Hulk and Namor are about to throw down when a voice stops them. The voice belongs to a being that was 12 telepaths whom Nighthawk "died" protecting. They are merged into one being. As Surfer and Vision are confronted with the mind controlled Squadron Supreme the Defenders arrive via teleportation from "Mindy". The fight begins. Tom Thumb wraps Hulk up in Quadra-Titanium bands, but Hulk just rips out of them. He throws Tom against a far off wall. After the Defenders beat the entire Squadron Kyle Richmond sends out Overmind. Hulk and Hyperion try a punch together, but are blasted back by Overmind. A man named Masters sneaks up and shoots President Kyle Richmond through the head. Overmind collapses. Richmond's skull starts to seep a back smoke. The smoke turns into Null, the living darkness.

Defenders #114- Hyperion flies up to fight Null, but is knocked back. Hulk catches him. Null blows everyone away with a wind of pure evil. The 12 telepaths and all the heroes figure to combine all their power through "Mindy" to strike Null down before his evolution is complete. Namor asks why they should trust her. He, Hulk, and a number of the Squadron go off to fight Null. "Mindy" pulls them back and sucks up their energy. The composite of good defeats the composite of evil. The heroes are all separated. "Mindy" inhabits Overmind's empty body. Nighthawk comes to realize that he is really President Kyle Richmond, not Kyle Richmond, Nighthawk and Defender.

Defenders #115- Hulk listens as "Mindy" recalls how instead of saving the Defenders' Richmond they accidentally saved Masters. Tom Thumb fixes the teleporter. The Defenders are sent back to earth, but a short misdirects Namor, Beast, Valkyrie, and Gargoyle. Hulk says he is glad to be back. Hulk is still there when the four misdirected Defenders find their way to Strange's house.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #266- Bruce has his arm around Betty as Rick drives the 1959 Plymouth they just bought. Rick remarks how they got it cheap when the salesman recognized Bruce. They drive until they come to a military blockade. They find the blockade abandoned except for a monkey. Bruce recognizes the monkey as one that went extinct millions of years ago. Bruce notices activity by his old lab. Betty and Rick start to feel odd. He tries to get them out of there, but the monkey takes the car keys. Bruce tells them to remain by the car and goes after it. Bruce and Rick turn into monkeys. Bruce spots several extinct species. Banner realizes the monkeys are the soldiers. Banner finds High Evolutionary in his old lab. High Evolutionary says that Banner is in time to help him kill himself. He came to Earth to die, but accidentally effected the devolving as he tries to devolve himself. Bruce sees monkey-Rick and monkey-Betty. Bruce hulks out. High Evolutionary wanted to bring the Hulk out to kill him. Hulk hits him out of the lab. Evolutionary's armor defends him though he doesn't want it to. Evolutionary's armor then turns Rick and Betty into Neanderthals. They attack Hulk. Hulk knocks them away. Evolutionary's armor then evolves them into beings a million million years. They attack again, but fall as the atmosphere evolves itself. Hulk starts pounding on High Evolutionary. Hulk beats his armor off him. Evolutionary thanks Hulk for helping him. He evolves everything to its correct form. He then devolves himself out of existence. Hulk leaves with his friends.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #267- Betty leads Hulk onto the gamma ray machine. Hulk says machines hurt him. Betty says this one won't, but when it goes on Hulk screams that Betty lied. Betty says she forgot how horrible it was. Bruce says that it's worth the pain to be himself again. He wants to start to find a cure, but he collapses from exhaustion. They lead Bruce to a bed. Betty goes to town to get provisions where she runs into Glorian. When Rick notices the rainbow that was there earlier is still out at night he wakes Bruce up. Bruce hulks out thinking Betty in danger. Hulk leaps to the town. Hulk sees Betty with Glorian. Hulk says he remembers him. Glorain touches Hulk's head. Suddenly Hulk is Banner Hulk he sits at the table as his mother serves him and his father dinner. Then he is at school as the star pupil, but when he sees Betty in his dream he snaps out of it. Hulk says Glorain wants Hulk to dream so he can steal Betty. Betty snaps out of her trance. Glorain causes Hulk to see the townspeople as his enemies. Glorain loses control. Hulk sees Betty as the Harpy. He throws her, but she is caught by Shaper. Shaper zaps Hulk's head causing him to calm down. Rick gets ticked when he hears that Shaper only offered illusions and made everyone miserable when he takes them away. Hulk leaps at them, but hits the ceiling as they fade away. Rick works the Hulk into a frenzy. Betty wonders what is wrong with Rick.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #268- Hulk is again shot by gamma rays and changes back into Banner. Betty wonders if the ray might cure him. Bruce says no that it can only trigger the change. Rick says that the Hulk has come to understand somewhat that he and Banner are the same person. Rick wonders what might happen if Hulk's power could be controlled instead of destroyed. He lays out several scenarios Bruce could do. Betty says Rick must be mad. Bruce tells Rick that he doesn't want to be the Hulk anymore. He wants to be the way he was before the accident. Betty says that Bruce had Hulk's brain in the past, and it never lasted. She also mentions his enemies who would come for him. Rick drives off brooding. As Bruce is working on the cure Betty comes up behind him and professes her ever lasting love for Bruce. Bruce says he can't reciprocate until the Hulk is dealt with. Bruce says it's kill or cure this time. Bruce hears Rick's tortured voice coming over the CB. Bruce runs out of the lab and turns into the Hulk. He leaps towards Rick. Hulk finds Rick being attacked by Pariah. Pariah starts to attack Hulk, but Hulk claps his hands. Pariah keeps draining Hulk's power. Hulk and Banner transform back and forth. Banner thinks that maybe if Pariah takes all his gamma power he might be cured, but then Pariah would have enough power to terrorize many. Bruce realizes that Pariah would destroy everything he wanted to become a part of again. Hulk gets madder and stronger. Hulk leaps and grabs the stone. He crushes it in his hand. Pariah and the ghost town blow away.

Marvel Fanfare #7- Hulk walks along in a grassy field enjoying himself until he sees four jets fly overhead. Hulk uproots a tree and throws it through the wing of the jet. The other jets go back to base, but Hulk realizes that his position is known now so he leaps away. Hulk leaps to a town called Jasper. He is hungry and watches through the window as a family eats a red circle. Hulk says they don't look good, and the family would all start screaming if he went inside. A good smell draws Hulk to a fair. He tells the hot dog vendor that he would like some red sticks. The guy turns to tell him they're called hot dogs, but starts running from Hulk. Hulk takes a handful of hot dogs and eats them. The circus performers start attacking Hulk. Hulk swats them away as he tries to get more hot dogs. The noise brings out the circus owner- the Blob. Hulk remembers Blob. He runs and hits Blob in the stomach, but Hulk bounces back. Blob grabs Hulk's hand, and with the other Hulk pounds on Blob's face. Blob is unaffected. Hulk tries to pick up Blob, but Blob wills himself to the ground. Hulk gets angrier and angrier until he lifts both Blob and the ground he stands on. Hulk holds Blob with one hand and punches him into a tent with the other. Inside the tent in Unus, whose force field is now always on. Blob comes flying out of the tent. Hulk hits Blob knocking him to the ground. Unus comes out to challenge Hulk. Hulk charges Unus, but is knocked back. Hulk hits the field, but nothing happens. Blob recovers and starts pushing Hulk into Unus' field. Hulk pushes the entire force field backwards. With Blob off balance Hulk lifts him over his head and slams him down. Hulk tries to leap away, but Blob grabs Hulk's leg and also goes for the ride. Unus follows. Blob lands on Hulk. He pounds and pounds until Hulk is just standing there and asks if Fat-Man is done. Hulk runs and punches into Blob's stomach. Blob holds Hulk's fist in his stomach. He releases the hand, but instead of Hulk going flying it is Blob who is slammed back into the rocky wall. Hulk catches Blob as he collapses. Unus arrives. Hulk hits Unus' force field and disables it. Hulk leaps away.

Questprobe #1- Hulk picks up a tank and throws it at another tank. The soldiers only wanted to keep Hulk away from the Grand Canyon, but now they're paying the price. A tank tries to sneak up behind Hulk, but Hulk hears them. He pulls the turret off the tank and throws it through the wing of a jet. Hulk pounds the ground and yells to leave him alone. Pieces of the mountain collapse and fill the valley. The Chief Examiner is watching Hulk. Hulk wanders off. He comes to a cave where he finds two glowing gems. The gems explode. Now alone in the cave Hulk decides to sleep. Chief Examiner watches as Hulk turns into Banner. Banner sees him and says that he has been studied enough. Banner runs from the cave, side stepping the Examiner's analyzing portal. Bruce accidentally runs right off the mountain cliff the cave was on. Hulk is the one who lands. Hulk throws a rock at Examiner. The rock passes through the portal and falls having lost all its momentum. Hulk leaps away because he doesn't want to lose his strength. The Examiner follows. Hulk hits the river and shoots a geyser of water into the Examiner. Again Examiner blocks with his portal. Hulk leaps at "Faceless-Man", but when the portal moves in front of him Hulk is forced to alter his trajectory. He falls into the rapids. In the water, Hulk breaks loose a huge chunk of the cliff and uses it to trap the Examiner above the surface. Hulk goes to smash Examiner, but he sees some rafters forced to jump into the water to avoid the cliff Hulk dropped across the water. Hulk sees that a girl fell in so he goes to save them. Hulk saves the three guys, but can't find the girl. Examiner has his portal right above the girl. Hulk decides to leap through the portal to save the girl. Hulk is weakened, but manages to pull her out. Examiner now has the secret to Hulk's power, and as he leaves he commends Hulk. Hulk leaps away.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #271- Hulk is awakened on a new world by a robomower. Hulk isn't happy about being awake so he smashes the robomower. Hulk meets Rocket Raccoon and Wally the Walrus. When Wally's "fuzz-detector" sounds indicating the Keystone Quadrant Kops are coming they get in Rock's ship. After they take off Rocket pushes a button and a bunch of food falls out for Hulk to eat. Rocket says Hulk just appeared out of nowhere on Half-World. Hulk sees the Galacian Wall that is an ancient wall that keeps everyone on Half-World in, and everyone not outside. They don't know how Hulk got in. Half the world is machine and the other half forest. A mole named Judson Jakes wants Gideon's Bible. His Black Bunny Brigade attacks Cuckoo's Nest where the bible is…sigh…Hulk agrees to help Rocket. When they get to Cuckoo's Nest Jakes has already left with Rocket's girl Lylla and Gideon's Bible. They follow him to Spacewheel. Hulk and Rocket defeat some Killer Klowns…Hulk punches a hole in Spacewheel to get in. Hulk hits the floor and shakes a "Black Bunny" off Lylla. Hulk runs into Uncle Pyko, a talking tortoise, who knows Hulk is from Earth. Uncle Pyko secretly knows everything in Gideon's Bible. He sends Hulk home to Earth. Oh Rocket gets his book back.
