SASQUATCH

Walter Langowski was a college friend of Bruce Banner. Both had knowledge and aspirations about gamma radiation. Out of college Bruce went directly to work on his radiation ideas. Walter was drafted to ball football in the National Football League. While Walter was playing Bruce transformed into the Hulk. Walter attempted to perfect the transformation, but unfortunately the area was he performed his experiment had mystical barriers that allow one of the Great Beasts to take posession of Walter. After a time Walter's body was killed by Snowbird as part of her duties to hunt the Great Beasts. Where it goes from there gets a little confusing.

Alpha Flight #11- flashback- Walter is seen talking with Bruce Banner and others during his college days.

Alpha Flight Special- Walt compliments himself on his long distance holistic scanner as he and James Hudson watch Sean Bernard, an unwilling new recruit to Canada's superhero endeavor- Department H or the Flight. The next day Walt and James show Bernard the exo-skeleton they want him to wear.

Alpha Flight vol 2 #14- flashback-

Alpha Flight #11- flashback- In his log Walter Langowski says that he can see no more reasons to delay. He says the machines might wear out from all the testing. He takes his glasses off for hopefully the last time. He says that the anticipated strengthening should remove the need to assist his weak eyes. Walter types in the instructions as he sits in his machine reflecting on all the work that it has taken him to get there. He activates the machine and is turned into Sasquatch. Sasquatch smashes right out of the laboratory. Later Snowbird comes to check on Walter. She says she warned Department H that this area was dangerous to experiment in because of the mystic barriers that surround the area. Snowbird follows Sasquatch’s footprints for 500 miles, occasionally finding destruction along the way. She eventually finds Walter face down in the snow. She takes him to a hospital. Walter tells James Hudson and Michael Twoyoungmen that he was the orange monster. He says that the gamma radiation should have turned him green, but he thinks that maybe something else was mixed in…perhaps some cosmic rays. Twoyoungmen tells Walter that it will be about a month before he can return to work. Snowbird shows up to help Walter control the beast he becomes. He tells Hudson to call him Sasquatch.

Alpha Flight #52- flashback- Sasquatch holds up a tree.

Alpha Flight #92- flashback- They government wants to implant the team with Roxxon biochips. Vindicator goes to talk to Sasquatch, Northstar, Aurora, Snowbird, and Shaman about it while they’re training. Sasquatch changes into Walter to talk. Shaman speaks for the group and says that they aren’t interested in the chip. Vindicator says that he understands, but that their government liaison is really pushing it and that he is being listened to. The government plays good cop/bad cop with Vindicator to get him to push another chip, which probably does the same thing as the Roxxon chip, towards the other Alphans.

Incredible Hulk annual # 8- flashback- The HMS Diefenbacher destroyer sustained damages off the Magdalen Islands. Sasquatch pulled the destroyer ashore, and then lifted it out of the water so that Vindicator could weld the breach shut. Sasquatch then pushes the destroyer back into the deep water.

Alpha Flight vol 2 #14-FB

Incredible Hulk annual #8- Walter Langowski is contacted, at Simon Fraser University while guest lecturing, by Department H. Langowski reads that they want him to go up against the Hulk. Langowski is pleased at the challenge. As the helicopter nears the drop point Walter goes into the back of the copter and focus and concentrates in order to change into Sasquatch. Sasquatch leaps from the copter and starts heading to the Hulk's location. Sasquatch encounters the woman who helped Hulk. Her screams bring out Bruce Banner to her rescue. Sasquatch says he would introduce himself more formerly (as Langowski) but with the woman there he says to just call him Sasquatch. Sasquatch tells Bruce how he exposed himself to gamma rays on purpose. Sasquatch then tells Bruce that he is a government agent. Bruce figures he is to be arrested, but Sasquatch says he wants to fight the Hulk. Sasquatch tries pushing Bruce, and then throws him around a bit. The woman hits Sasquatch's leg distracting him. Bruce's shirt rips and he falls down the cliff. Sasquatch is stunned, but Bruce climbs back up as the Hulk. Hulk leaps at Sasquatch when he calls him Banner. Hulk rams Sasquatch into the ground, but Sasquatch kicks him back. Hulk leaps back and punches Sasquatch through a tree. Sasquatch uses the tree to hit Hulk. Sasquatch tries to keep Hulk back with it, but Hulk starts shredding it. Sasquatch hits Hulk with the stump. Hulk starts to dominate, but Hulk misses with the killing blow and starts an avalanche. Sasquatch leaps to protect the woman. Hulk thinks he is attacking her. When they both emerge from the rubble Hulk sees that the woman is scared of him. They stop the fight, and Hulk storms off. Sasquatch tries to apologize to Hulk, but Hulk just yells at him for attacking him and then backhands him away. Hulk leaps away sad that the girl was frightened of him.

Machine Man #18

Alpha Flight #1- Department H is being shut down the government. The building is closed up. Mac returns home to Heather, but has to go when the news shows a strange manifestation of the Northern Lights. Mac flies off by himself because Alpha Flight is disbanded. Heather goes and finds the Alpha Flight cards with the gold borders and activates the signal. Walter Langowski gets the call as he hikes through the Forrest of British Columbia. He transforms into Sasquatch with no pain at all. The hundreds of feet tall Tundra stands and proclaims doom. Vindicator, Shaman, and Snowbird are already fighting Tundra when Sasquatch leaps in out of a helicopter. Sasquatch lands on Tundra and starts ripping up huge chunks out of Tundra. Tundra swats him away and he flies away as Northstar and Aurora arrive. Marrina brings enough water for Shaman to wash Tundra away. Later at the Hudson’s apartment Walter tells James that even without government backing they all agree the team should stick together. Puck finally arrives and demands a place in Alpha Flight. Walter picks him up and tells him to relax. He says there will always be room for him as the team’s mascot. Puck decks him and they fall through the coffee table.

Marvel Two-In-One #83- Giant-Man is dying from a problem with radiation because of a sacrifice he made to save Thing. Reed can’t solve it. He suggests that they get Walter Langowski. Thing takes off to find him. Walter stands looking at nature’s beauty and wishing he were in downtown Montreal. Walter thinks how he is depressed that the government has disbanded Alpha Flight. He returns to Shaman. Shaman says that he is looking for the ancient burial crypts of his ancestors, but he senses that a great evil is about to be unleashed. The next morning they actually find the burial crypts. Walter heads back out to get some equipment. While outside the cave he sees a rocket landing. He wonders if this could be the evil. Walter focuses and turns into Sasquatch. He lets his moment of weakness pass. Sasquatch sneaks up behind Thing. Things asks who he is, but Sasquatch says that he prefers to ask the questions. Shaman’s will is sapped and he is forced to release the evil spirit Ranark the Ravager. The spirit causes a trembling that cause Thing to think Sasquatch is coming at him. Thing decks Sasquatch. Sasquatch hits Thing with a tree. Thing picks up a rock, but Sasquatch hits him with the tree again before he can use it. Thing notes that Sasquatch enjoys being big and orange, and says that he hates it. They fight back and forth. Sasquatch catches a rock that Thing throws at him and crushes it. Sasquatch says he is going to end it, but Thing keeps getting back up. Sasquatch puts him down three times, but never knocking Thing out. Thing starts to come back. Sasquatch says that they should just call it a draw. Suddenly the ground erupts and Ranark flies off. They make a truce to stop Ranark.

Marvel Two-In-One #84- Thing, Shaman, and Walter go back to James’ apartment. Thing tells Walter about Giant-Man, and offers to help against Ranark to get him there quicker. Ranark is attacking Winnipeg. Vindicator, Sasquatch, Thing, Shaman, and Aurora attack him. Ranark slams the ground and causes the entire city block to shake. Sasquatch catches a skyscraper full of people as it starts to tip over. He and the Thing hold the building up until Aurora can help the people get out. The building collapses. Thing gets buried, but breaks his way out. Later Sasquatch catches Shaman as Ranark blows him away. Sasquatch admires Thing’s resolve, and hopes he can help his friend in return. Ranark starts burying the place in giant hail blocks. Sasquatch starts smashing them apart. Ranark notices that Sasquatch is the strongest one there. He says he wants to make an example of him. He throws a bus at Sasquatch, but Sasquatch just swats it away. He lays into Ranark. Ranark wills himself stronger than Sasquatch, and then starts pounding on him. Ranark causes to giant earth hands to reach up and pull Sasquatch under. Northstar arrives to help. Later everyone is battling Ranark. Because he is distracted Sasquatch can get free. Everyone gangs up on Ranark and knocks him out. Shaman imprisons him. Later Walter studies Giant-Man’s problem. Walter tells Thing he is sorry, but he doesn’t see anyway to help Giant-Man.

Alpha Flight vol 2 #15- flashback-

Incredible Hulk vol 2 #272- flashback- Walter Langowski is camping when he hears screams. Walter turns into Sasquatch. Sasquatch sees a camper on its side crushed in. He sees human blood all over the place. He figures the Wendigo had ripped the campers apart, and was about to eat them when he heard him coming. When he sees the footprints it confirms his beliefs.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #272- Walter Langowski walks through the night in search of Wendigo. Sasquatch walks on. He thinks about the fact that Wendigo stood toe to toe with the Hulk, which unsettles him because the Hulk easily defeated him when they fought. Sasquatch finds and grabs the Wendigo as he is about to kill a man. Sasquatch tells the man to run only to find that the man is Bruce Banner. Wendigo knocks Sasquatch down and leaps onto him. Sasquatch tells Banner to run, but Bruce realizes that he wouldn't get far. He wills the change into the Hulk. Hulk knocks Wendigo off Sasquatch. As Sasquatch lays recovering he realizes that the Hulk is speaking and acting like Bruce Banner. Sasquatch realizes that they have to stun the Wendigo so Shaman can use a spell to change the Wendigo back to a human. He pulls a tree up. Sasquatch sees that having his blood shed in battle starts to revert to his savage persona. He pulls him back to his Banner persona. Banner pulls up a tree as well. Together they crush the Wendigo knocking him unconscious. Sasquatch is tired, but he looks over at Hulk and worries about the joy that Banner seems to get from his savagery.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #273- Sasquatch ties up the Wendigo and explains to Hulk that Wendigo needs to be cured by a shaman. Hulk says that if he wakes up he'll just smash him again. The Mounties gather around Hulk as he is still wanted. Bruce starts to get angry. Sasquatch tries to calm Bruce saying they're only doing their jobs. Hulk hits Sasquatch and says that "Hairy-Man" acts like his friend. Sasquatch tries to appeal to them, but the Mounties open fire on Hulk. Hulk stomps the ground and leaps away. Sasquatch thinks to himself if he should go after him, but figures there is no use as until Banner regains control there will be no talking to him. He thinks about how he was going to offer Bruce a job.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #277- Sasquatch, and Alpha Flight, watch as the U-Foes send out a transmission of them holding an unconscious Bruce Banner. Sasquatch says that he owes Banner and that they should help him. Vindicator says they would need special clearances to go into America to help.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #278- Sasquatch stands with the Hulk and a large portion of the superhero community on the White House lawn with a signed petition that the Hulk be pardoned. When an alien fleet attacks Sasquatch has to wait until one of the ships comes to the ground for him to help fight them. The alien fleet disappears, and the superheroes all lift the Hulk on their shoulders for his part in showing that he is a hero now and not a monster.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #279- Sasquatch stands on the stage as the whole world, and even a few alien worlds and dimensions, come to pay tribute to the new Bruce Banner Hulk. Sasquatch even speaks to honor Hulk.

Contest Of Champions #1- out of place- Sasquatch says that he liked it in the woods as Alpha Flight flies back to Quebec. Suddenly the entire team disappears from their plane. Sasquatch finds himself in a gigantic room with literally every superhero on Earth. The Beast asks Sasquatch if people call him "Big Foot" for short. Sasquatch says that they actually call him "sir". Grandmaster and his mystery opponent arrive and say that they will not release Earth from the suspended animation that they have placed it in unless the heroes of Earth agree to help them play a game. They are to try and collect four quarters of a golden globe. Sasquatch is chosen as a member of Grandmaster's team.

Contest Of Champions #2- behind the scenes- The Grandmaster's team wins the first section, but The Unknown wins the second. Sasquatch waits for his turn to play for his side.

Contest Of Champions #3- The Grandmaster's team wins the third section. Sasquatch is teamed with Captain America and Blitzkreig against Storm, Shamrock, and Collective Man. Sasquatch goes off in his own direction and winds up fighting Collective Man. Sasquatch gives him the first hit. Collective Man leaps through the air and kicks Sasquatch in the chest. At this point Collective Man falls to the ground where Sasquatch bats him away. Collective Man comes back and tries to grab Sasquatch around the neck. Sasquatch pulls him off and slams him against the ground. Collective Man summons the strength of ten thousand of his countrymen. He blasts Sasquatch off into the trees, but then passes out from the strain. Grandmaster wins the third section as Shamrock grabs the fourth section right before Captain America. (a bit of an error as Shamrock was on Unknown's team). Sasquatch and all the other pawns are brought back to the arena where Grandmaster is declared the winner. The Unknown is revealed as Death. Grandmaster sacrifices himself to resurrect the Collector.

Marvel Two-In-One annual #7- Sasquatch is recruited or "kidnapped" by Proja, the promoter supreme, to enter a contest. Sasquatch is teleported to a gym where all the recruits are gathered. Sasquatch and the others look around at the equipment that is designed for people of their strength level. As Hulk starts to get antsy Champion introduces himself. Champion says that he travels from planet to planet looking for challenges, but never has he tasted defeat. He hopes the champions of Earth might provide him some sport. The "recruits" don't care for being pawns and attack Champion. Sasquatch grabs Champion's right arm. Champion releases his Power Primordial. Champion says that they must fight him or he will release his power upon their world. They decide they must fight. Each "recruit" is assigned a trainer. Sasquatch is thrilled with his workout. He hasn't really been able to since he became Sasquatch. The night of the fight comes. The third contestant is Sasquatch. Sasquatch dodges Champions punch. Sasquatch grabs Champion around the back. The ref would break the hold, but Champion elbows Sasquatch off him first. Champion says to put up some kind of fight because the fate of Earth is at stake. Champion then hits Sasquatch into the ropes. Sasquatch comes bounding off, but Champion catches him with a left hook. Sasquatch collapses like a ton of bricks. After the Thing's fight Sasquatch congratulates Thing on his, for lack of a better word, tie that spares the Earth.

Marvel Two-In-One #96- Sasquatch winds up fighting a Dreadnaught in the hospital that Thing is trying to recover from the beating Champion gave him in.

Alpha Flight #2- Alpha Flight divides into two teams for exercises. Northstar and Aurora buzz Vindicator causing his suit to zotz out. He falls into Sasquatch’s arms. Sasquatch isn’t on his side however and throws him. Shaman catches Vindicator in a force field. Sasquatch tells Shaman that Vindicator should expect some bruises from their workout. Marrina washes over Sasquatch with a wave of water. Sasquatch stands dripping. Puck starts laughing at Sasquatch. Sasquatch goes to chase Puck, but Vindicator tells Aurora to calm him down. Sasquatch returns in time to see a freaked out Marrina slash Puck across the chest. Marrina bolts, but Vindicator, now Guardian, tells Sasquatch they can track her by her Alpha Flight signal implant. They take Puck to the hospital. Shaman operates while the others go after Marrina. As they fly to the magnetic North Pole Guardian tells them what he knows about Marrina. After he tells them that they really know nothing Walt wonders how she got into Alpha without psychological testing. Guardian says she was and that whatever this is doesn’t show up in standard tests.

Alpha Flight #3- flashback- The Alpha Flight ship is shot down. The team emerges after the ship crashes. Walt emerges as Sasquatch. They take off in the direction of the laser that shot them down.

Alpha Flight #3- Snowbird finds the ship. She turns into a polar bear and follows the tracks and scent of Sasquatch. Sasquatch and Guardian are trying to get through a wall that Northstar and Aurora are on the other side of. Sasquatch says that they should be through the wall by now, and that it seems like the wall is growing. Inside Northstar and Aurora are surrounded by staffs that come out of the walls. Sasquatch barrels through the staffs to Aurora. Sasquatch says that Guardian made a good call saying that they should go through the side wall instead. Guardian realizes that Aurora has slipped into her alternate personality. Sasquatch asks if there is something he should know. Guardian says later and for Sasquatch to find Northstar because only he can bring Aurora back.

Alpha Flight #4- Sasquatch says he wants to know what is going on here first. He says that he has known Aurora since he was inducted into Alpha Flight. Guardian explains that Aurora is a free spirit and her alternate personality is the exact opposite. Sasquatch asks if this is what he would consider for prime superhero material. Guardian says he didn’t find out about Jeanne-Marie until it was too late. Guardian accidentally calls “Jeanne-Marie” Aurora and she storms off. Guardian starts to go after her, but Sasquatch tells him to go find Northstar. He says that he has “known her” better than he has. As they take off in different directions Sasquatch powers down into Walter. Walt says that he thinks he will manage better with her in his human form, as long as he can find her without his glasses. Walt notices that the walls seem to move as if they are alive. He sees Jeanne-Marie. He says he would never hurt her. Jeanne-Marie says that she wouldn’t know, as she doesn’t associate with naked men. Walt points out that he is dressed fine for a beach. Jeanne-Marie wants to know where she is. Walt places his hands on her and softly and soothingly recounts for her the relationship they had in New York weeks ago. Jeanne-Marie remembers, but as herself, and she decks Walt and calls him an animal. Guardian’s machinery talks with the ship’s circuits. He finds Northstar. As Snowbird, Susan Richards, and Namor free Marrina from the Master. Guardian and Northstar find Sasquatch who is carrying the reluctant Jeanne-Marie. Guardian has found the key location to destroy on the “living” ship. The ship explodes and the heroes survive inside Susan Richards’ force field. There is no sign of the Master. Marrina goes with Namor while Sasquatch is carried home by Guardian.

Fantastic Four #266- Susan Richards is in danger of losing bother her second baby and her life. Bruce Banner, Walter Langowski, and Michael Morbius have been called in as experts in radiation. Reed believes the danger is from Sue's exposure to radiation from the Negative Zone. Reed mentions that he figures all the experts have been called in, but Langowski says that they should talk to one of his professors- Dr. Octopus.

Fantastic Four #267- Walter tells Reed to put his emotional reaction aside and think about it. Bruce Banner backs up Walter, and changes Reed's mind. When Reed returns with Octopus Bruce tells him they tried to do everything they could, but…the doctor tells Reed that his baby died.

Fantastic Four #268- The doctor thanks Walter and the others for their help.

Rom Spaceknight #56-58

Alpha Flight #9- At the Mount Logan Cosmic Ray Research Center, Kortgaard tells Walter that he has made the changes to the power and adapter. Walter says he hopes this will provide an answer. McMurdo says that he doubts it. Walt restrains a sigh and tells McMurdo that he knows he doesn’t like him being there anymore than he likes being there, but him taking jabs at him isn’t helping. McMurdo says that he isn’t anything to him until he proves himself. Meg Masterson tells them that the intruder is about to show again. Walt watches the sensors scratch up and down. He says that it almost looks like a brain wave. Kortgaard says that the adapter is ready. They activate it and the adapter seems to have caught something. The form of the Thing materializes and falls over. They all rush out to the adapter. They wonder how they are going to move the unconscious figure. Walt takes his glasses off. He turns into Sasquatch in front of all his colleagues. He picks Thing up and carries him to the doctor. Sasquatch pulls off the doctor’s wall so he can walk into the office with Thing. The doctor says that he is alive, but just barely. The doc asks Sasquatch if he knows what Thing’s normal life signs are like. Sasquatch says not really. The doctor kicks both Sasquatch and McMurdo out so he can examine his patient in private. Later, as Walt is talking with Meg about how physically taxing it is to become Sasquatch, Kortgaard comes in and says that something has happened in the infirmary. Walt smashes down the door. He sees the doctor dead and the Thing missing. The hole in the wall looks like it was made from the inside going out. Walt takes off after the Thing’s kidnapper. He realizes from clues that he is tracking someone with all the powers of the Fantastic Four. He realizes who it is and runs back to the doctor’s office. The office explodes before he gets there. Walt finds Meg. She tells him that they are all dead before she too dies. Walt calls out the monster. He says he knows that he is still there and that he was the Thing all along. The Super Skrull reveals himself.

Alpha Flight #10- Super Skrull swings at Walter Langowski, but he misses and hits a group of rocks. Walter finds a moments peace hidden beneath some rocks. Skrull smashes the rocks and says that he tires of this game. Skrull throws Walter and he lands in a deep drift of snow. As Super Skrull flies overhead looking for him Sasquatch reaches up from out of the snow and grabs Skrull’s feet. Sasquatch roars and throws Skrull. Skrull notices that this is not how Walter Langowski generally behaves while Sasquatch. He decides that Sasquatch has arrived, but that Walter Langowski is nowhere to be found. Skrull also notices that Sasquatch’s arm isn’t broken the way Walter’s was. He decides that he has to take him out fast. He hits Sasquatch with all his power, but Sasquatch only tears up a large chunk of rock and throws it at Skrull. Skrull stretches his body around the rock. Skrull stretches and is also aflame. Sasquatch throws a bunch of snow at Skrull, but Skrull blocks it with his force field. Skrull prepares to blast Sasquatch, but doubles over in pain still weak from last issue. Sasquatch is about to eviscerate Skrull, but Skrull quickly beams a hypnotic ray into Sasquatch’s eyes. The hypnosis causes Walter’s mind to take control again. As he listens to Skrull’s story he thinks he figures out how Skrull came to be with him. Sasquatch realizes through Skrull’s travels that he has caught Super-Leukemia. Skrull tells Sasquatch that he wants him to help him get home to cure his illness. Sasquatch pretends to still be under and agrees. Sasquatch helps Skrull configure a device that will beam him out when the machine is properly aligned to the Skrull Throneworld (that Skrull doesn’t realize is gone). Skrull has another attack. Sasquatch quickly grabs Super-Skrull and blasts him out to wherever the device is pointing. Sasquatch thinks about the people who died and the savage aspect of Sasquatch he discovered. He hopes that he isn’t becoming like Bruce Banner. Sasquatch returns to Vancouver, his birthplace. Walter enters his home and says, “Hi honey I’m home” despite the fact that his wife and son left him five years ago. Walter gets an answer from Aurora. She came through his window. She says that she has terminated her partnership with Northstar, and has returned home to him.

Alpha Flight #12-Walter stands in his apartment waiting for Aurora to return. He is wearing a special suit that allows him to hold onto Aurora as she flies, and the suit is hot. What’s more he expected her back forty minutes ago. Suddenly Aurora flies into Walter’s apartment. She says that he should have come and that the ocean in St. Tropez was incredible. Walter says that his neighbors aren’t ready for flying ladies. She says that she just thought it would be quickest this way. Walter says that he got the signal for Alpha Flight almost an hour ago. Aurora says that she wants to do something else first and starts kissing Walter, but he tells her that the signal is important. She dresses into her costume in less than a second and they go. When everyone arrives at the meeting place Northstar tries to apologize to Aurora for their fight, but Aurora doesn’t want to hear it. She calls for Walter. Walter tells Northstar to back off, but Northstar shoves him down. Walter says Northstar must be pretty stupid to forget who he is pushing. Walter turns into Sasquatch and grabs Northstar. Puck sees that Sasquatch is about to hurt Northstar and bounces off his face. Sasquatch says he is going to make a hockey stick. He pulls up a tree and tries to use his new hockey stick to hit Puck. Shaman uses a magic spell and roots come out of the ground and restrain Sasquatch. Shaman suspects Sasquatch’s true nature, but says nothing. He tells Aurora to calm Sasquatch down. Once Walter is back in control Shaman teleports everyone to Guardian’s side as he fights Omega Flight. Box is throwing Sasquatch around. Sasquatch realizes he should be able to handle Box easily, but that he is holding back for fear of becoming savage again. Box throws him against the wall. As Box fight Guardian Guardian finds that it isn’t Roger Bochs inside Box, but Jaxon (the evil leader of Omega Flight). Guardian uses secret knowledge to destroy Box, but is also damages his suit causing it to explode and kill him.

Alpha Flight #13- behind the scenes- Though we only see it in a dream sequence Walter holds Aurora at James Hudson’s funeral.

Marvel Team-Up annual #7- The Collector is on Earth and uses the pilfered lamp of Ali Baba to have a genie collect for him Spider-Man and Marrina. Marrina activates her Alpha Flight distress signal. Aurora carries Walter and Northstar carries Puck towards Marrina’s signal. Shaman stayed behind with Heather, and after discovering her powers only work in Canada Snowbird doesn’t come either. Northstar insults Walter. Walter says Northstar is jealous and wants Aurora’s affection for himself alone. Walter tells Aurora that he knows his bestial side as Sasquatch scares them, but it scares him even more. They find Collector’s ship and Walter turns into Sasquatch to get in. Northstar thinks to himself he if could get Sasquatch to go berserk perhaps it would bring his sister to her senses. They break in and see Spider-Man surrounded by Venusian shock flies that sap his energy. Sasquatch introduces the others to the others having met Spider-Man at the Hulk’s amnesty. The Collector speaks to them as he releases ten traps called boxers. The cubes follow the Alpha Flight members. Sasquatch is retaining control as he smashes the boxers, but Northstar starts to taunt him. As Sasquatch yells at Northstar he is captured by a boxer. Sasquatch breaks out, but not before the boxer drains Walter’s control. Sasquatch starts throwing boxers at Northstar. Aurora has to dodge some of the boxers too, and she is caught by another. For a second Northstar takes responsibility, but quickly passes the buck that it is Sasquatch’s fault. Sasquatch hurls another boxer, and breaks open the cages of all the other of Marrina’s people that Collector had. Aurora turns into Jeane-Marie inside her boxer. Saquatch is out of boxers and starts to rip the ship’s power source out to throw at Northstar. Collector appears in a battlesuit. Spider-Man accidentally frees a giant snake. Sasquatch is forced to give up chasing Northstar and wrestles the snake. Northstar tells Aurora to calm her boyfriend, but finds she is Jeane-Marie. Spider-Man points out that the whole team is nuts. Sasquatch is fighting the Plodex (Marrina’s people). He throws one and knocks down the Plodex who had Aurora (back again). Sasquatch catches her. Northstar rushes down. Sasquatch grabs Northstar saying that he was deliberately taunting him. Sasquatch is ready to kill him, but Aurora says that he is her brother though she will no longer speak to him. The snake has damaged the ship. Collector has a vision of Surtur. Walter finds a way for Collector to get his ship off earth to keep the Plodex from being released. Walter flies back with Aurora.

Alpha Flight #17- Aurora floats in a tube wearing a mask for breathing. She tells Walter whenever she is ready he can go. Walter says that he has been ready for 20 minutes, but he wants to be sure she understands that once they do this there is no going back. Aurora says that they have already talked about this and to proceed. Walter pushes the button. The tube starts to bubble up and Aurora screams. The tube explodes and she falls out. Walter rushes to her side. He knew that there might be some pain, but that he didn’t expect that. He says that molecular realignment had never been tried on a human subject. Aurora says that it is a small price to pay if it worked. Walter says that they should start tests as soon as she is able. Aurora says that she wants to show Walt something first. When she goes Walt wonders what the university would think if they knew what he was really using their equipment for. He also wonders what Aurora would say if she knew that he was doing this not just for her, so she can distance herself from her brother, but because he fears that the anti-mutant sentiment will affect her. He thinks how if this process worked that she won’t be a mutant anymore. Aurora appears in her new costume.

Alpha Flight #20- Sasquatch is in the Canadian Rockies pulling up trees and smashing rocks. After five hours of work Sasquatch manages to create a waterfall. The construction guy says that he did in five hours what would have taken them five months to do. Sasquatch thinks to himself that he didn’t really learn what he wanted to learn. Sasquatch asks how long it will take them to build the sanitarium. He says he figures about ten months. Suddenly Aurora arrives. She asks if he is finished yet. Sasquatch says that he told her when he would be home. Aurora says that she was bored and wanted to test her powers. The construction guy says that she doesn’t look like her picture. Aurora says that everyone is entitled to a change. Some of the construction guys start flirting with Aurora. She kisses one of them. Sasquatch grabs the other two saying that Aurora is just teasing them. Sasquatch asks Aurora if that is right. Aurora says that Sasquatch has a way of taking all the fun out of life. She flies away. Sasquatch heads home. As he goes he thinks about how he was hoping to induce one of his rages as he worked, but he never came close to losing control. He wonders what the common theme to the changes is. The next day Aurora and Walter are speeding along in a boat. Aurora asks how much longer it will be because she is cold. Walt says that he told her to wear more clothes, but Aurora says that she never felt cold before her powers were altered. They land and Walt says that they are on Tamarind Island. He says that he got a phone call from Heather that she and the rest of Alpha Flight are heading their way. Walter shows Aurora a castle where he wants the team to headquarter. He says that the castle was built in 1896 by his great aunt. His family never stayed there after she died because they thought it was haunted, but when they open the door it is clean. As they look around the house Walt wonders why Aurora is talking like Jeanne-Marie. He disappears behind a bookcase. While looking for Walter Aurora finds golden people as statues and Gilded Lily. Lily shows Aurora the now golden Walter.

Alpha Flight #21- The golden Walter stands as Gilded Lily tells Aurora her origin. She is Walt’s great aunt. When her first husband died she found herself with Diablo. She fell in love with Diablo learning alchemy. Diablo was betrayed and “killed”. She then married each one of Diablo’s betrayers turning them into gold statues. Lily then pulls Aurora off to make her a statue. Walt turns into Sasquatch destroying the gold casing. Sasquatch crashes through the door as Aurora is hanging over the gold vat. Lily uses alchemy to cause the ground to come up at Sasquatch. Sasquatch knocks them over, and then starts trashing Lily’s lab. Sasquatch grabs her cape and reveals that Lily is nothing more than a few living organs encased in metal. Sasquatch thinks that she is a robot and removes her face plate. Lily’s wrinkled old skin turns to dust and she dies. The house starts to collapse. Sasquatch grabs Aurora and runs. They only get so far before they are buried under a mountain of dust. Sasquatch sneezes and blows the dust away. Later Sasquatch looks around and finds the lab and everything else gone in dust. Sasquatch wonders why Aurora didn’t fly or flash her with her light powers. He thinks that it doesn’t seem like Jeanne-Marie taking over, and wonders if perhaps a third personality might be emerging.

Alpha Flight #22- flashback- Jeanne-Marie is at her brother’s house when she recounts for Northstar how “some man” gave her a coat when she was cold on a boat. She said thank you, but then he kissed her neck. She pushes him away. “The man” keeps calling her Aurora until Jeanne-Marie covers her ears and eyes. When she opens her eyes she finds that she is flying. She flies to Northstar’s house.

Alpha Flight #22- behind the scenes- Heather and Tailsman discuss how Walter has been worrying about Aurora. They say that is the last thing he needs since he fears that he is losing control as Bruce Banner lost control of the Hulk. Tailsman says that her father Shaman knows that it is something else, but won’t say. Later Aurora emerges again.

Alpha Flight #23- Snowbird’s ancient spirits reveal to her that Sasquatch is one of the Great Beasts. Walter happens by as Tailsman and Puck are having a training session. Puck asks Walt how Heather is doing. Walt says that she is sleeping comfortably after having seen her slain husband alive again. As they talk about it Aurora rushes up and says that there is a report of a super-villain in Vancouver. They rush off to fight him. Sasquatch and the others confront Caliber. Caliber is happy to finally have a challenge. He blasts Sasquatch in the chest. Sasquatch says that he actually felt that. The others distract Caliber while Sasquatch recovers. He gets up after Aurora blinds him. Sasquatch punches Caliber out cold. Aurora asks Sasquatch if he is okay. He says that he will be fine, but just to leave him alone for a moment. Suddenly Puck notices that the sky gets darker and cloudier. Snowbird flies in. As she descends she turns into an owl and drives her beak right into Sasquatch’s chest. Everyone thinks Snowbird has cracked. Aurora starts to pull Snowbird off, but Sasquatch smacks them both off. Walter Langowski is gone. The Great Beast Tanaraq thanks Aurora for her assistance and says that in thanks he will grant her a fast death. Tailsman tries to help Aurora. Tanaraq senses that she does have power, but that she is a novice who has not been tested. Tanaraq tests her. Tailsman screams. Tailsman strikes back. Snowbird explains that the form of Sasquatch was really just a possession by Tanaraq. That it has always been his form that Walter Langowski transformed into. She says that Walter could summon the Beast and control it, but when weakened or injured Tanaraq would take over. Snowbird transforms into a Sasquatch. She confronts Tanaraq. Tanaraq tries to crush Snowbird with concrete thinking that she doesn’t have his power, but Snowbird pushes back. Tanaraq hits Snowbird with a car. Snowbird says that Tanaraq is going to die. Tanaraq says that Snowbird doesn’t have the heart for that. Snowbird responds by ripping out Tanaraq’s heart and says, “…now neither do you.” Walter Langowski’s dead body hits the ground. Aurora cries over his body. Snowbird says that Walter’s physical form was destroyed, but his spirit lives on. Aurora says that they must save him.

Alpha Flight #24

Alpha Flight #25- Permanently stuck inside the Box armor Walter sits on the floor as Alpha Flight holds a hearing to discuss Aurora’s allegations that Northstar was previously a terrorist. Northstar says that there are things he did that he is no longer proud of, but says that there are plenty of secrets in the room and that he doesn’t recognize any of them as being worthy of judging him. The hearing is broken up when Puck tells them all that Guardian is alive and fighting Caliber. After Tailsman finishes Caliber Guardian turns to see all of Alpha Flight standing to welcome him. Later as Guardian tells Heather what happened to him Walter is out smashing rocks trying to have some fun in the new mechanical body. Aurora asks what kind of fun they can have with him in that. Walter says that it is still his mind and asks if that isn’t the reason she loves him. Aurora says she has to think about it and flies off. Walter is stunned that she could treat him so poorly. Roger Bochs says that Aurora is a physical girl and need Walter in a human form. Roger says that he thinks he knows where to get one.

Alpha Flight #26- As Box, Walter confronts a group of armored guys with Alpha Flight. As the fight starts Box starts to pull up the ground below the bad guys. One of them blasts Box with his boot jets as he takes off in flight. Walter shouts when Aurora is hurt during Guardian’s rescue. All the robots pull away from their opponents and form into one giant robot. Shaman and Tailsman distract the thing while Box flies in behind it. He grabs its legs and throws it against a wall. The army guy tells them to stop and that they appreciate the help testing their new equipment. Guardian gets a message that Heather needs him. Shaman and Box remain with the injured Aurora. Omega Flight defeats the others and “Guardian” reveals that he is Courtney, Jaxon’s assistant robot.

Alpha Flight #27- Shaman tapes sup Aurora’s three cracked ribs, and then tells her she can get dressed. Walter comes in to check on her. She says that she is fine. Walter says he wants to show her that the secret project that he has been working on is about to pay off. Aurora asks Roger if he has really found a body for Walter. Roger says that he has found something. He shows Shaman and Aurora the Crossroads of realities. He then shows them the outline of the occupant of the Crossroads. It is giant and hardly has any brain wave activity. Suddenly Shaman senses the danger to his daughter. Shaman, Box, and Aurora teleport to Tailsman’s aid. They see the fake Guardian there. Shaman tells “Guardian” that Smart Alec is inside his pouch. Guardian grabs it and flies off. Aurora chases him, and Box chases her to stop her from getting hurt. Guardian unwittingly releases the “Void”. Aurora and Box are sucked up into the Void. The other Alpha Flight are sucked up to. Shaman tells Tailsman to go in and get them. She does, but when Shaman is trying to get her out the phony Guardian reveals that it has captured Snowbird. Shaman frees Snowbird, but breaks his promise to Tailsman and she is sucked into the Void as it closes.

Alpha Flight #28- Walter Langowski inhabits Box as the Beyonder presents Tailsman back to Shaman and Alpha Flight from Shaman's bag. Tailsman gets angry with everyone for sticking up for Shaman when he failed to rescue her. She teleports them away from her back to Vancouver. Later a sudden power outage is caused as Walter and the others start fishing in other dimensions for a new body for Walter to inhabit. Walter is inside Box holding the "fishing pole". As their catch is fighting Walter's spirit leaves Box, to be replaced by Bochs, so that he can descend the line and inhabit the body himself.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #313- The spirit of Walter Langowski descends the line that Alpha Flight cast into the Hulk. Bruce Banner's spirit is dislodged from the Hulk's body. Bruce wonders if the spirit he saw is trapped within the Hulk. Walter says he wouldn't say trapped, but grateful. Walter tells Hulk how he came to lose his original body and inhabit the Box. Walter tells Bruce that he has girlfriend, Aurora, that he wants to hold with human arms. Walter curses his luck for catching a body that had a mind. Bruce says to keep the body, and maybe in that way he can finally die. Walter says that Bruce is a big hero to sacrifice himself. Bruce tries to tell Walter that he wasn't being heroic just suicidal, but it's too late as Walter has expelled himself from the Hulk. Bruce is pulled kicking and screaming back into the Hulk. Hulk is paralyzed for a moment, and Alpha Flight reels him in.

Alpha Flight #44- From Shaman/Talisman’s pouch, in spirit form, Shaman/Talisman and Snowbird ask for Alpha’s help to rescue Snowbird’s son from Pestilence. After the team leaves Smart Alec crawls out of the bag. While they are on the mission Heather kills Snowbird in her Sasquatch form to prevent her from killing her own son thereby releasing Pestilence to find another host. She was too late and Pestilence escaped anyway. Smart Alec overhears that Snowbird was killed in her Sasquatch form.

Alpha Flight #45- Shaman/Talisman performs a ceremony, and Narya’s spirit ascends from her Snowbird form up to the gods. Snowbird’s husband and son are elevated as gods as well. The team leaves as they notice Scramble and Roger Bochs have returned. Smart Alec watches as Roger Bochs emerges with fully functioning legs. Bochs and Aurora go upstairs together. That night Sasquatch emerges from the grave. Heather spots the tiny body of Smart Alec and throws a lamp at him. “Smart Alec” tries to tell her that it is not what it seems, but his voice is too small. Heather manages to grab Alec while telling him that she holds him responsible for Mac’s death. Suddenly Sasquatch smashes through the wall. Heather drops the body of Smart Alec as Sasquatch smacks her against the wall. Suddenly the Box armor comes to life and starts fighting Sasquatch’s possessed form. Alpha Flight begins to figure it out. Smart Alec was mindless and there was another soul inside Shaman’s bag. Roger Bochs isn’t inside the armor. Aurora says, “It cannot be…” Box turns to Aurora and says, “ ‘Lo beautiful! Miss me?” Everyone recognizes Walter Langowski’s voice. Inside Sasquatch is Pestilence. After they fight for a bit Heather comes up with an idea. She tells Walter, inside the Box armor, to keep a hold of Sasquatch’s form. Walter grabs Sasquatch and electrifies it with the power from the power pack. Pestilence leaves the Sasquatch form to inhabit another Alphan, but when he leaves Sasquatch’s for Heather returns with Shaman’s pouch. She throws it and captures Pestilence inside it. Without a mind to inhabit it Walter occupies the body of Sasquatch. He scoops Aurora up in his arms as Bochs pouts nearby. As he holds Aurora Sasquatch tries to transform back into Walter’s body, but when he does so he finds that his human form is now that of Snowbird…a female.

Alpha Flight #46- Aurora pleads to Mr. Jefferies brother, who can transform flesh the same way his brother can transform metal, to turn her boyfriend back into a man. Walter Langowski sits on a table within the body of Snowbird. Walter asks the doctor if he can real turn him from Wanda into Walter. The doctor points to his recent success curing Roger Bochs from a paraplegic into a full-bodied man. Roger says that he only did it because of his love for Aurora. Aurora says that their affair was only a distraction to keep her mind off her grief over Walter. Walter says he guesses it was naïve to believe she would remain faithful to his memory. Dr. Jefferies lays his hands on “Wanda”, but he cannot turn him back into a male. The doctor’s intern guesses that his powers don’t work because Snowbird wasn’t entirely human. Walter says that anything is better than being a ghost. He transforms into his female body. Aurora shouts not to touch her. She tells Walter that as long as Walter is a woman never to touch her. Aurora flies away. Bochs says that she is fair game for him then. He jumps into box and runs after her. Walt says that it may have been better if he’d stayed in limbo. Later Walter is looking at himself in the mirror. He says that if he were himself he would say that he was a knockout. Northstar says that like Aurora he preferred the man Walter was. Northstar says that he cried the night they thought Walt was gone. Northstar storms off saying he is doomed. Vindicator wonders how Northstar is doomed from a cough. Later Bochs freaks out and grabs Aurora after smashing into her room. Alpha Flight comes running. Box says that he will punish Aurora for leading him on. Sasquatch heads up the back way. Puck grabs Aurora and Sasquatch grabs Box. Sasquatch says that Box is crazy. Box says, “That’s what they always said! But I’ll show the world they were wrong.” Sasquatch and Box fall down the stairs. Box grabs Sasquatch and shocks him with the current in his suit. Mr. Jefferies forces Bochs out of the armor.

Alpha Flight #48- Roger is floating in a bubble cage as his new legs, from Dr. Jefferies, have started to deteriorate. Aurora says that Roger looks at her with hate. Northstar says that she earned it. “Wanda” is amazed that Northstar is criticizing Aurora in front of anyone. Vindicator stops and thinks about the group of whackos that she leads. Mr. Jefferies starts fighting with Northstar and Aurora about what should be done with Bochs. Sasquatch grabs Box’s arms to calm him down. Mr. Jefferies figures that maybe they should call his brother to come help Bochs. Vindicator says no, but Northstar and Sasquatch both think it might be for the best. They go there and have to wait for hours as Dr. Jefferies works on Bochs. Sasquatch asks Northstar to get up. Northstar does so, but asks why. Sasquatch turns into Wanda and sits down. He says because it is polite to give your seat to a lady. Sadly Dr. Jefferies is still insane. He merges with Bochs. His power to manipulate flesh, and Bochs’ ability to think of thousands of shapes merge to become a being called Omega. Alpha Flight attacks. Vindicator says to try and spare Bochs’ life if possible. Omega defeats Sasquatch, Puck, Vindicator, and has Northstar restrained. Mr. Jefferies has had his mouth closed, his legs and hands morphed into a clump by his brother, and Dr. Jefferies assistant is morphing into something.

Alpha Flight #49- Whitman Knapp transforms into four beings; himself, two of his evolutionary past selves, and one futuristic on. The Neanderthal throws Mr. Jefferies into the Box armor. They go to help Alpha Flight. Sasquatch has recovered, but winds up getting caught in Omega’s clutches, as has Purple Girl. Neanderthal Knapp starts smashing Omega to free Sasquatch. Current Knapp frees Purple Girl. Jefferies transforms the Box armor into another form and starts fighting Omega. Sasquatch grabs Puck and gets him free of Omega. Inside Omega Bochs has realized his insanity and tries to exert control to stop Omega’s existence. The Dr. Jefferies portion alters Bochs’ mind so only his creative transformation portion still exists. Box blasts Omega. Suddenly Purple Girl has control of Omega. She has him fix Mr. Jefferies, but there is nothing left of Bochs to fix. Mr. Jefferies decides that since there is no hope for Bochs or his brother that he must become his destroyer. He goes back into Box and kills Omega. Northstar collapses from his illness. Aurora has reverted to insanity, and has released some metahumans Omega had trapped.

Alpha Flight #50- flashback- Sasquatch finds Aurora alone in the dark repeating, “One flew east, one flew west, one flew over the cuckoo’s nest”.

Alpha Flight #50- In Ungava Bay, Sasquatch holds Northstar and says that a storm is coming, and that they had best find what they’re looking for and leave. Sasquatch says that he was in limbo the last time Alpha Flight was here. They have come to see if the magic flower from before still has any magic inside it. It doesn’t, but Box transforms into a drill and tries to find the source of the magic that keeps the rose alive in the middle of the freezing landscape. Box finds the Viking Village. Loki decides to change the signs to lead Alpha Flight to destruction. Sasquatch realizes that while he once loved Aurora that now he can only feel sorry for her. They find the Fire Fountain, but there is nothing there. Aurora finds a door at the bottom. Sasquatch helps Box and Vindicator pulls the door up to reveal a dark world inside. Once they enter Loki changes the lovely faieres on the door back into devils as they are supposed to be. Sasquatch and the others press on without Aurora and the sick Northstar for the sake of speed. The find the Fire Fountain, but is now composed to darkness instead of light. Puck jumps in curing his dwarfism, but releasing the demon Raazer from within. The dark elves of Svartalfheim, where they are instead of Alfheim, are also attacking. Raazer strikes Box causing him to shrink down to a dwarf. Vindicator follows suit. Suddenly a well Northstar arrives and blasts Raazer with pure light causing him to recoil. Aurora gave Northstar her light powers after they learned that they are part faeire, and that faeire light heals them. Aurora is taken captive by the elves without her light powers. Alpha Flight runs for it. They get out of the door from before, and Vindicator seals it shut leaving Aurora and Puck trapped within. Northstar decides to return to Alfheim. Loki reveals that Aurora is now mortal, and though her memory is a blank, her mind is whole. Loki sent her to a place where she will be welcomed. Puck, Loki transported to Tibet. The full sized Puck decides that he should remain there, as he was about to leave Alpha Flight anyway. Loki also reversed the dwarfism on Box and Vindicator.

Alpha Flight #51- Sasquatch is helping his teammates Box, Vindicator, Purple Girl, and Whit Knapp or Manikin defend Tamarind Island against an army of oppressors. They decide they must take the offensive. Sasquatch starts to wreak havoc on the ground troops. They all drive the invasion away. High above the fight was recorded so that they can be investigated. Gary Cody, Alpha’s liaison to the Canadian government compliments Alpha on repelling their mock-invasion. Vindicator thinks that without all the crackpots on the team Alpha Flight might be at its strongest ever. They return to Mansion Alpha. Gary Cody is somewhat shocked to see Mr. Jefferies jump out of Box even though he knew that he had taken it over. Sasquatch hands Gary his cigarette case back and calls him “cutie”. Vindicator introduces Wanda Langowski as Sasquatch transforms. Gary says that he didn’t know Walter had a sister. Wanda says, “I don’t.” While they are getting changed Gary Cody steals all the information about Alpha Flight on a disk. They others return and thank Gary for his loyalty after all this time.

Alpha Flight annual #2- flashback- Wanda sits in a chair as Gary Cody informs Alpha Flight that they will be heading to the South Pole where a team of energy researchers were just killed by a pack of Neanderthals and dinosaurs that suddenly burst through the ice with a steam blast. Wanda changes into Sasquatch as she listens. Madison Jefferies says that he thinks that the government just wants to know about the energy resource. Heather says that they will go, but for the sake of the researchers who may still be alive.

Alpha Flight annual #2- Sasquatch rides inside Box to the South Pole. Heather says that she doubts her ability to lead. Sasquatch says that she has served in both Alphas and that her Alpha is much more stable that her late husband’s. They spot a volcano flowing at the South Pole. Box is knocked out by the atmospheric disturbances. Sasquatch tries to keep him from crashing. Vindicator flies out to fight dinosaurs. She and the ship both crash. On the ground a giant dinosaur confronts Sasquatch. As Sasquatch fights the thing Box wakes up a reshapes into a metallic dinosaur. Box bites the dinosaur’s throat and then they start to look for Vindicator. Sasquatch suspects that Vindicator is dead, but Box drills through the ice anyway. They get through and see the jungle. Sasquatch recalls the X-Men’s stories of the Savage Land, but says that she was under the impression that it was destroyed. They spot a city and find one of the researchers tied to a sacrificial stake. The researcher mentions that Vindicator was there and freed some of the others. After a lot of searching Box and Sasquatch finally hear Vindicator’s suit fire again. Vindicator has formed a team with the people she rescued. They come to her rescue and help the others defeat the bad guys. After Vindicator makes a speech about acceptance they head home with the only surviving researcher.

Alpha Flight #52- Wanda sits on the porch swing as Manikin and Purple Girl seem to be falling for each other, and Mr. Jefferies is kissing Vindicator. Wanda says that it seems everybody has someone but her. Wanda says that perhaps the god of love is confused on what to send her. Wanda isn’t worried about it though as she feels all is right. Gary Cody uses the information he stole from Alpha to accidentally free a super powered menace that he had once tried to recruit. Wolverine gets an automated call that Bedlam is free.

Alpha Flight #53- flashback- After Alpha Flight goes through a training session Bedlam explodes through the floor knocking everyone out besides Box. Box withdraws within his armor. Bedlam takes the others.

Alpha Flight #53- Sasquatch is stuck in some kind of living wall with Alpha and others. Bedlam “gets to know them”. They are Sasquatch, Vindicator, Freakout, Janus, Purple Girl, Breakdown, Manikin, and Goblyn. He sees inside their minds. The others were the ones freed by Aurora back in #49 from Dr. Jefferies. Bedlam sees that Guardian is dead from Vindicator’s mind. He says that to determine which foursome gets to serve him Alpha Flight will fight the Derangers. Sasquatch is fighting Freakout, a man whose mind doesn’t register the pain that is inflicted on the body. Box and Wolverine are on their way to the rescue. Sasquatch realizes that she will soon kill Freakout. She transforms into Wanda to break Bedlam’s control of her. Freakout freezes. Bedlam commands Freakout to finish her. Bedlam overextended himself and his control is broken. Bedlam quickly ravels up Wanda in tendrils from the floor. Bedlam kills Freakout, Janus, and Breakdown. Vindicator eventually through strength of will kills Bedlam. All those that were controlled are released. Goblyn flees. Wanda says, “There goes my inheritance” when she hears that Mansion Alpha has been destroyed. Wolverine says that they should set up here. Vindicator says that might be a good idea since she can’t trust Canada anymore.

Alpha Flight #54- Sasquatch try to plug up the holes in the base to stay warm. Heather says that they are going to head home despite being reminded that home was destroyed, and that the Canadian government was hamstringing them. Purple Girl says that they must try to save Goblyn. Vindicator says okay. Box senses life forms with his sensors. He gives Vindicator and Sasquatch bracelets to keep tabs on them. They split up. Sasquatch says that she can smell Goblyn near. Goblyn leaps out and scratches Sasquatch’s eyes. Sasquatch screams out. Goblyn cuts Vindicator, and then gets Box to take her back inside the base. There Goblyn hurts Jefferies and Manikin. Sasquatch and Vindicator find each other. Sasquatch acts as the legs while Vindicator acts as the eyes. Purple Girl reaches Goblyn mentally as Alpha returns to continue the fight. Sasquatch can see again. Purple Girl throws herself on Goblyn to protect her from Vindicator’s blast. Goblyn is touched that she protected her just as her twin sister Laura also protected her in the womb when her anti-mutant father tried to abort her.

Alpha Flight #55- Wanda Langowski rubs her arms cold since she is standing in a skimpy leotard. Vindicator asks her what is the matter. Wanda says that she is just feeling a little strange. Vindicator says that they have been through a lot lately. Wanda says that she was talking a bit more about what “his” body has bee through lately. Vindicator says that she has no answers, but can only offer her…Sasquatch interrupts her saying “sisterly comfort?” Sasquatch says there was a time he would have wanted much more from a woman. Later the others start to sell Vindicator on staying at the headquarters instead of going back to Canada. Later still Sasquatch is walking out during a snowstorm. Sasquatch starts smashing up snow. Sasquatch says that something called him out there to form something. A voice answers that it was to recreate the world, as they knew it long ago. The voice says that he or she used to know it as well. Suddenly Tundra forms out of the ground. Tundra says that he is the greatest of the Great Beasts. Another Great Beast, Somon the Artificer says that all the Great Beasts are equal. Sasquatch says that he is no longer one of the Great Beasts in Snowbird’s body. Somon says that within his/her body lies the memories of Great Beasts and that it was because of this that Sasquatch came out and created the doorway for them. Kariooq the Corruptor arrives as does Tolomaq the Fire Beast. Tolomaq says that they want Sasquatch to join them. Sasquatch asks if they forget who she is. Sasquatch says no and is knocked straight into the headquarters. The Great Beasts rip the roof off the headquarters. Vindicator goes up to fight the Beasts. She gets rid of Kariooq and Tolomaq. Sasquatch confronts Somon who Sasquatch says controls the Beasts. Sasquatch says that he is not a Beast. Somon asks why she denies her destiny. Somon says that he intends to release Sasquatch’s evil side the way Walter released his physical form. Somon stabs Manakin’s other selves. Sasquatch walks up behind snapping Somon’s neck leaving only Tundra to deal with. Mister Jefferies transforms the headquarters into a giant Box. Sasquatch and the others get inside him as their new headquarters. Box blows up Tundra.

Alpha Flight #56- Alpha Flight hurtles through space as the explosion of Tundra sends them into space. Mister Jefferies is out of it from the impact. Goblyn takes off. Sasquatch and Vindicator try to stop her because every time she scratches Box Mr. Jefferies screams. Goblyn gets away from them as she heads towards the brain. Sasquatch and Vindicator are besieged by stowaway creatures. Sasquatch says that she thinks that they are Bedlamites that were in the headquarters following Bedlam when Jefferies transformed the headquarters. Manakin helps Vindicator blast the things on Box’s brain. Mister Jefferies resumes control. Box blasts the Bedlamites that Sasquatch is still fighting. Heather says that they will get the Purple Girl out of the dimension that Goblyn and her other self go to soon. They go to warp speed.

Alpha Flight #57- Box sets down on an inhospitable planet to try and regain some of the mass that he has shed as time goes by in space flight. The team is tossed about as they land. Sasquatch spots a storm so Jefferies drills Box into the planet, and lets it absorb the planet’s minerals. Purple Girl and Laura return as Goblyn goes into the Liveworld. They try to leave, but cannot. Sasquatch points out what she believes to be lifeforms. There was no life on the planet when they landed, but they created the spark that made the primordial soup begin life. Jefferies fashions them life support systems so they can leave Box. Goblyn comes out when Purple Girl is hurt trying to control the “mind” of the crystals. Goblyn talks to the crystal by purring vibrations similar to the crystal’s vibrations. Alpha Flight leaves and Vindicator promises to try harder with Goblyn. Everyone wonders why Laura hasn’t returned from Liveworld yet.

Alpha Flight #58- Vindicator doubts herself as a leader able to get her team home, but Sasquatch says that she knows Vindicator can do it. Sasquatch says that if the Boxship is like the Box suit then it can be programmed. Sasquatch starts to try and uncover the memory log of their coordinates before blasting off into space. Sasquatch is feeding the coordinates into Box’s brain when Goblyn senses the Dreamqueen of Liveworld threatening Laura. She wigs out and bumps into Box. Instead of Earth the ship starts to head where Goblyn was thinking- Liveworld. They crash on Liveworld. Box is now back to regular size as most of its mass burned up on entry. Goblyn runs off. Dreamqueen wants off Liveworld. When she sees Goblyn and Laura together she senses the other’s presence also. She wants to know how to leave. Goblyn bites Dreamqueen. The weather starts getting bad. Purple Girl senses Goblyn and Laura are in trouble. They follow Purple Girl’s lead.

Alpha Flight #59- Puck is seeking a new world to have adventure in. A Tibetian monk offers him a choice of worlds, but shows Puck Liveworld where Alpha Flight is in trouble against the Dreamqueen. With the portal open Dreamqueen and Alpha Flight are transported back to Earth

Alpha Flight #60- Through US satellites Canada learns that Alpha Flight is alive in China. Alpha Flight is about to start a war. Sasquatch asks how they got back to Earth. Box guesses magic, and Sasquatch says she thinks he is right because the Dreamqueen’s forces never diminish. The Jade Dragon helps Alpha Flight. Puck discovers that the Dreamqueen’s warriors are just phantoms you have to believe in. Laura discovers that she is a mutant with dimensional traveling capabilities. She opens the portal to Liveworld, and Puck knocks her into the portal. Laura closes them up. The Tibetian monk teleports Alpha Flight.

Alpha Flight #61- Wanda goes for a walk with Purple Girl, Manikin, Laura, and Goblyn as Vindicator and Mr. Jefferies face an inquisition debating if Alpha Flight should be charged with treason. They walk into the bar that Puck used to work at and order some drinks as they listen to Vindicator as she speaks to the Inquisition. Wanda says that it seems nobody is being won over. Canada’s answer to Senator Kelly says that Alpha Flight will control them if they don’t control Alpha Flight. One of the rubes in the bar turns the channel. Wanda speaks up drawing their attention. Purple Girl takes control of them and tells them to get lost. Wanda tries to pay with Walter’s credit card. Everybody starts to get their feathers ruffled. Wanda turns into Sasquatch. The rowdies are subdued and they leave. Wanda puts on her coat. Manikin asks Wanda what they should do now. Wanda says that she might be the oldest Alphan present, but she is the most confused. Is she a she or he, alive or dead, mortal or god? Wanda suddenly remembers that “he” is loaded. They go into a bank and Wanda draws up a withdrawal. Wanda imagines what she’ll buy first as the teller takes the slip to her manager. The manager says that only Walter can withdraw money from his account. Wanda tries to explain herself, but the manager isn’t buying it. Wanda turns into Sasquatch and grabs the guy. Purple Girl takes control of Sasquatch and forces him to put the manager down. After the effect wears off Sasquatch is furious with Purple Girl, but is made to see she was right. Later Wanda screams into a phone as she learns that none of Walter’s stocks can be liquidated without consent from his executor. She shouts that she isn’t dead. Suddenly Wanda gets the idea to go to his wife to get the money. Of course she doesn’t believe that it is him, but when he causes her to feel the same revulsion she did during their marriage she realizes that it is Walter. Ronnie, Walter’s “widow”, says that though she knows it is him nobody else will, and all his possessions are now hers.

Alpha Flight #62- flashback- Heather and Mister Jefferies return after telling the Canadian government that they don’t want their money. Vindicator says that she almost forgot the famous Langowski fortune. Sasquatch says that she can’t blame Heather for counting their chickens before they’re hatched because she did the same thing, but has to explain why they are cut off from his fortune. The reporters hear this and start badgering Alpha with questions. They chase them away and then decide that they’re going to have to break up for now. Later Wanda wishes Purple Girl, Laura, and Goblyn goodbye as they get on a train. Heather and Mister Jefferies reveal that they are going to get married.

Alpha Flight #64- Sasquatch holds up the last will and testament of Walter Langowski. He admits that in the event of his death that his wife will inherit all his money, but Sasquatch says that he isn’t dead. The judge says that the real question is if Sasquatch is really the man Walter Langowski. Veronica’s lawyer says that it should be plain to everyone with eyes that this woman is not Walter Langowski as Sasquatch turns into Wanda. Veronica dries some crocodile tears. Wanda says that Veronica was always a good actress, and that she is just acting to get the money. When Wanda gets close enough Veronica whispers that is exactly what she is doing. Wanda says that there is something he regrets not having done during their marriage. When Veronica asks what it is Wanda starts to change into Sasquatch and reels back his hand to punch her. Sasquatch smashes the table. The judge shouts for order. She asks “the other” Ms. Langowski if she has any proof that she is Walter Langowski. Wanda thinks that she could lie and say it was a sex change operation, but that her lawyer would demand medical records. Veronica’s lawyer asks if she would be willing to submit to a test in the Lifeform Identifier. Veronica’s lawyer brings up that Walter himself designed the machine. Wanda agrees. The machine reads that Wanda is Male/Female, Human/Non-human, and Mortal/Immortal. The judge says that there is no precedence for this machine so she can’t allow that. Wanda suggests a lie detector if Ronnie will take one too. Veronica declines, but Wanda says that she will take one anyway. Wanda answers that she is Walter Langowski. Walter tells the story of how his male body was killed, and when he occupied the Box robot his girlfriend Aurora wasn’t interested in him. Veronica stands up and shouts that she knew Walter was cheating on her, but then stumbles to correct herself. Walter says that they had agreed to divorce years before. He says how he tried to get the Hulk’s body, and how he eventually wound up in the body of his former teammate Snowbird. The judge retires to her chamber to consider. When she gets there she finds a man from the National Security. He says that Walter Langowski cannot have his money because then Alpha Flight wouldn’t come back to government control. He basically tells the judge that she is not allowed to give Wanda her rightful money. As they sit waiting Wanda falls over with some type of attack. Suddenly the forms of the Great Beasts and the gods that oppose them channel out of Wanda’s eyes. Half of the courtroom is now Shattered Lands and the other Paradise. Wanda sits in the middle as the Great Beasts say that ever since Walter opened the gateway they have tried to get back to Earth, and the gods say that they have been waiting for them to defeat them. Wanda must choose a side, but as she changes into Sasquatch he says that he rejects both sides. Suddenly the Great Beasts attack Veronica. She shouts for Walter’s help. As soon as Sasquatch accepts reality his mind is cast into darkness without an identity or self. Suddenly a woman who looks like a nun is holding his head and returning him to the side of light. Sasquatch starts tearing into the Great Beasts. The Great Beasts retreat saying that now Sasquatch aligned with the gods. Sasquatch says that he rejects everything and everybody dealing with his past. He tells Veronica to keep his money and storms out. He looks for the woman who helped him. It turns out to be Aurora. She says that she has joined a holy order, and that she uses her powers of light to help others. Sasquatch happily cries as she walks away.

Alpha Flight #65- Sasquatch is seen sledding down a snowy mountain on his hands and feet.

Alpha Flight #66- In the woods Sasquatch tears apart trees as he swings at a ghost form of his wife. Sasquatch is thinking about how Veronica legally took all of his money from him. Sasquatch smashes a giant cliffside. The cliffside breaks in and Sasquatch discovers a huge amount of gold. Sasquatch says that there is enough to fund Alpha Flight for a century.

Alpha Flight #67- Heather and Madison re-unite Alpha Flight. Manikin refuses to comes and wants out of the group. Heather wants to know if the other members of Alpha Flight have had any waking nightmares that seemed so real. Wanda stands up and says that she thought that the Great Beasts and Gods were fighting in the courtroom as he tried to prove that he was Walter Langowski. She also adds that the other day in the jungle she thought that she had discovered gold only to find that once she got back into town she was carrying a bunch of granite. Purple Girl dreamed her father was back from the dead. Madison says that he thinks it was the Dreamqueen. Suddenly they all begin to glow and keel over from the pain. The glowing takes form, and suddenly the Dreamqueen is in the room with them.

Alpha Flight #68- Wanda sits unconscious as the Dreamqueen takes a phone call from Elizabeth Twoyoungman who was trying to warn Heather and the others about the Dreamqueen. Afterwards Dreamqueen picks Wanda as her pawn. She kisses her forehead and then leaves laughing. Later Elizabeth Twoyoungman arrives and wakes Alpha Flight. They all travel inside a modified Box to find Shaman/Talisman. They go to the location where they tried to save Walter’s soul and he wound up entering Snowbird’s body. They find Shaman/Talisman and ask if he will help them. Shaman/Talisman says that he will not, but that he will return to Ottawa with them. Purple Girl groans but Wanda asks her if she really wants to hang out around here all day. Heather asks why won’t help. He says that as Talisman he can only observe the conflict. Elizabeth Twoyoungman reclaims her role as Talisman. As Shaman takes the headpiece off and holds it out for Elizabeth, Wanda turns into Sasquatch. He grabs the headpiece and then tears a hole in Box and jumps out. Sasquatch yells “traitors” right before leaping out. Sasquatch crashes into the Space Needle. She turns into Wanda and wonders why they make her like that. She thinks that she can be herself again. Wanda rides the elevator down knowing that she will have to fight Alpha Flight down there. Wanda emerges wearing the headpiece. Inside Narya’s (Snowbird’s) body Wanda can wield magic. She blasts Goblyn. Shaman has told them that it is the Dreamqueen controlling her. Heather asks Wanda to calm down. Wanda shouts that her name is Walter. She says that they made her like this, and that when Alpha Flight broke up she was homeless and penniless and Heather didn’t even offer to help her. Wanda blasts Heather unconscious. Purple Girl tries to take control of Wanda, but Narya’s body isn’t affected. She shouts again that her name is Walter. She punches out Purple Girl. Wanda then blasts Box down. Wanda runs without completely knowing where she is going. Far away the Dreamqueen is controlling her every move. Wanda throws a woman out of her car, but before she takes off a dark form of Snowbird descends. Snowbird says that she has been watching “Wanda” wearing her earth form while yearning for his lost manhood. She says that she sees the dark spell in his head that drives him to this. Narya says that by the power of her lost flesh she grants Walter his wish so that the Dreamqueen will not control her body anymore. Wanda turns back into Walter. Walter shouts his thanks out to Narya. Walter is no longer controlled by Dreamqueen. He hands back the Talisman to Elizabeth and apologizes. Talisman shows the others that Walter is back. She says that Narya used her shape-shifting powers to make Walter a man again. They rush to Edmonton to stop Dreamqueen who has taken over the city.

Alpha Flight #69- Dreamqueen now controls China Force who had come to retrieve the Jade Dragon. She also feels Alpha Flight coming. She also knows that the only one beyond her control is Talisman. Only she is the threat as she is more powerful than Dreamqueen. As they fly in Walter says that he can’t wait to get Dreamqueen for messing with his mind. Dreamqueen causes Box to see scenery that isn’t there. Box crashes into a mall thinking it downtown Edmonton. Talisman breaks Dreamqueen’s control, but it knocks him out. As they wait for Madison to regain consciousness the Purple Girl sees one of China Force as her father. Shaman thwarts the attack, but the China Force member runs off. Sasquatch, now orange again, takes off after her to try and get some answers. Vindicator tries to call out to wait so they can go together, but Sasquatch forges ahead. He comes into what seems to be a jungle and finds the Jade Dragon’s human form tied up. The China Force think they are being invaded in China. Sasquatch starts fighting. Vindicator catches up to help, but they are still outnumbered five to two. The others in Alpha Flight show up. They figure out that China Force thinks they are in China. Laura opens up a portal to China and when they see it they cross into it immediately. Jade Dragon follows. Madison wakes up, but Purple Girl was knocked out so they leave her behind as Vindicator has Laura open a portal to the Dreamqueen. As they cross through the Dreamqueen laughs.

Alpha Flight #70- They come out of the portal onto the street before the building Dreamqueen is in. Everyone they see is sleeping or walking around in a sleepy daze. They enter the building to find a giant piles of gems and diamonds that people brought to the Dreamqueen thinking they were taking out the trash. Talisman says that she senses that Dreamqueen is somewhere above the tenth floor. She says that she has managed to limit what the Dreamqueen can make them see. She says that they should split up to search for her, but that she wants to be alone because the Talisman makes her the most powerful member of the team. Sasquatch goes with Laura and Goblyn, Shaman goes with Heather and Madison. Sasquatch shrinks down to Walter so they can ride up the elevator. Once they get off the elevator they are faced with their fondest wish. Walter sees Aurora sitting at a table pouring some wine for him. As they talk Walter starts to forget why they came there in the first place. As Walt starts to remember Aurora tells Walt that she “only has eyes for him”. Aurora’s eyes pop out of her skull like tentacles and wrap around Walter. Walt turns into Sasquatch and punches “Aurora” out the window. He tries to rescue Laura and Goblyn whose “parents” are attacking them. Laura is thrown out the window only to be caught by Shaman who is again levitating up the building after falling out himself. Sasquatch realizes that they are fighting visions. He figures that Dreamqueen must be on the top floor and that Talisman must have been distracting them. He powers down and gets in the elevator with Goblyn. Box and Vindicator have the same idea. When they get there the Dreamqueen is too close for Talisman to block her. They start to move to kill Talisman. Outside Shaman instructs Laura to open a portal. Talisman pushes Dreamqueen through the portal. Her affect is gone. Talisman explains that she lied because she knew that Dreamqueen could use them against her. Box asks if they are going to be a team again. Talisman says that they will have to survive because the worst is yet to come.

Alpha Flight #71- Heather asks the others if they are interested in reforming Alpha Flight, but wants it clear that she, not Talisman, is the leader. Talisman says that she doesn’t want to be leader, but that they have something else to worry about. The military comes crashing through the penthouse windows. After a small skirmish the man in charge explains that they weren’t sure what they were going to find, but that they really came there to congratulate them. He says that they would like to have them come work for them again. Sasquatch laughs out loud. Vindicator says that they are the ones who quit. Talisman butts in and says that they will be setting up in Edmonton. Heather yells at her, but Talisman says that it is the truth. The army asks how they will do this without any funding. Talisman points to the mayor of Edmonton who then goes on to make them an offer. They go get Purple Girl. Purple Girl, Laura, and Goblyn decide to quit the team and be kids. They portal away. They go about their own ways to think about reforming. Talisman and Heather are attacked by a resurrected Llan the Sorcerer.

Alpha Flight #72- flashback- Llan the Sorcerer teleports Talisman and Heather to a neutral zone where they can fight. Llan senses that Heather wants her Vindicator suit and her teammates. He gives her both. Suddenly Heather is Vindicator and Shaman and Walter are there. He also brings Box and Diamond Lil (who Heather saw kissing). He wants to provoke them, but Talisman tells them that they must not fight. Walt changes into Sasquatch and jumps headlong into the fight. Sasquatch hauls back to hit him, but Llan catches his fist and breaks his arm. He hits Sasquatch once and knocks him out cold. The others rush to his aid except Talisman because she knows the consequences. Finally as they are all defeated Talisman finally cracks and attacks. Llan is now free to battle. The rules are that he couldn’t do anything against Earth until Talisman attacked first. He blasts Shaman. Llan leaves them to attack the world and tells all to remember it was Talisman’s fault. Sasquatch wakes up screaming as Shaman sets his broken arm and gives him a splint. Shaman suggests he stay Sasquatch to heal faster.

Alpha Flight #73- The team starts walking towards a place where they can leap to a different dimension. Talisman says that they won’t be able to get to their own dimension though. Sasquatch asks how this will benefit them then. Talisman explains that they can get to a dimension that is much closer to theirs. They cross into one of the dimensional portals and come into a crossroads. They find the dimension that they want. Diamond Lil complains that of all the nice dimensions they saw they had to pick a lousy barren one. Vindicator tells her to shut up and a fight breaks out. When Lil hits Heather, Sasquatch grabs Lil’s hands and holds her. The fighting stops when Talisman finds a message from the Sorcerer. He says that he left a little surprise for them. Talisman says that they will just have to find out what traps he set for them. The group wants food and water, but Talisman says that they will have to grab it on the way. Shaman takes the splints off Sasquatch, as he was able to grab and hold Lil. Talisman is having finding the next rift because of the powerful emotions around. She asks for calmness. Suddenly a swarm of giant snakes attack them. After Sasquatch smashes the final one Talisman finds the next rift under a giant rock. Vindicator blows it to pieces. They travel to the next dimension. Talisman tells them to hurry because this dimension is hostile. Giant metal statues attack. Madison makes a new Box suit. They leave through a waterfall. In the next dimension they spot an archway. They have to fight their way to it, but after going through they are on Earth. The only problem is that it isn’t our Earth. They find another message from the Sorcerer. The newspaper headline reads “President (Reed) Richards Disbands Senate, Congress. Is War Soon To Follow?”

Alpha Flight #74- Talisman says that she can’t sense the next exit, and that maybe this is their dimension. She says that time moves differently in other dimensions, and that they may have been gone as long as six years. Sasquatch turns into Walter so he doesn’t get as hungry. Madison leaves for a junkyard to build a plane to go back to Canada. The others walk to get something to eat, but they notice that everyone seems to be afraid of them. Inside the restaurant they try to find out why everyone is afraid. The waitress says that they aren’t sure whose side they are on. The introduce themselves as Alpha Flight. She says that James Hudson is now Prime Minister of Canada, and is married to Aurora. They wait for their food, but instead Vision, She-Hulk, and Wonder Man come for them. Vision asks if they are unregistered parahumans, and asks that they come with them quietly. They are taken to a room where Box is already waiting. Suddenly Captain America comes in. Heather tells Cap their story. Cap doesn’t believe them because Alpha Flight says that they never heard of them. He says that he will question them to determine if they work for The Enemy. Cap tells them that in 1990 Dr. Doom and a group of super-villains took over the Soviet Union and their nuclear arsenal. Reed became President, Guardian Prime Minister, and Captain Britain ruled Western Europe and North Africa. Cap says that they can either join their fight against Doom or die. The fight begins. Alpha defeats Cap, Wonder Man, She-Hulk, and Vision, but once they get outside others show up.

Alpha Flight #75

Alpha Flight #76- Walter sits talking with Talisman as Heather talks to her mother and hears that they have been gone for three months. Suddenly Shaman starts coughing up blood and collapses. Later at the hospital they hear that Shaman is critical, but they expect him to recover. Suddenly Puck starts to fall ill too. He says that he and Shaman healed themselves in the Dreamqueen’s dimension, but that now the injuries seem to be returning. A nurse tells them of a disaster in Montreal. They leave Puck with the doctor and go. They get there to find Gamma Flight, Canada’s new super team, fighting some type of mass possession/murder spree. They land by an officer. Walter turns to Sasquatch. The officer tells Alpha Flight that they can’t go help by order of the government. Talisman says that she feels the Sorcerer’s magic. Vindicator says that they are going in with or without permission. Alpha Flight helps the nearly overmatched Gamma Flight. A possessed little girl gives Talisman a message that this is Sorcerer’s way of relaxing before Talisman expels the demon inside her. Sasquatch shouts that they won, but then he sees the little girl die in Talisman’s arms. Nemesis, Gamma’s leader, tells Vindicator that the government no longer sanctions Alpha Flight.

Alpha Flight #78- Walter goes to visit Veronica. He gives her a summons and tells her that he is getting his money back. He tells her that he had a little chat with the judge from last time, and after she saw that he really was alive she tells him that the government forced her to rule in Veronica’s favor. Walter changes into Sasquatch and says that it made him feel like smashing someone. He says that the judge plans to use her influence to get the case reopened, and that he will have his money. Elsewhere Talisman tells Vindicator to accept Edmonton’s building no matter what the conditions. The Sorcerer activates the Master and Marrina and Namor’s children hatch. Madison seems to be back with Lil.

Alpha Flight #79- Heather leaves Talisman’s room after being asked to go. Walter asks her if everything is all right. Heather says that she needs a shoulder to cry on. Walter listens to Heather’s story about how Elizabeth Twoyoungmen grew up in her house, and that they were once friends until Elizabeth got all the boyfriends and Heather was ignored. Heather then tells Walter about the “compelling visions” that each of them will get to divert Llan the Sorcerer’s coming army. Walter turns into Sasquatch and asks Vindicator if she needs him. Heather tells him to remain behind and warn the others about their own coming visions and opposition. Sasquatch gets there too late however as Diamond Lil is already being taken away to her vision. Sasquatch holds Madison Jefferies back, and after Lil goes he explains that they will each get a vision and be taken to meet their opposition. Canada’s new super team realizes that Alpha Flight is disobeying the government’s order to disband.

Alpha Flight #80- Walter tries to calm Madison down as he yells at Talisman for not warning them about these visions. Talisman says that she did it for the fate of her country, but that it looks like they might fail. Talisman then tells Walter and Madison that the new government team Gamma Flight is on their way to arrest Heather. She says that she held the two of them back to stall them and try to turn them to their side. Outside Madison phases into Box. Walter buckles in as Box flies to Winnipeg where the fight is. Box and Sasquatch arrive at the fight, but Gamma Flight is already there. Walter leaps out of Box’s chest, but it is Sasquatch that lands. Sasquatch lands in front of the Scorpion and says “hello”, and then he says “goodbye’ as he punches him away. Sasquatch is fighting Owl when Witchfire, the sorceress from Gamma Flight, cuts the strings that Llan the Sorcerer is using to control them. The bad guys all fall to the ground. Sasquatch says that at least it is over. Gamma Flight says that it isn’t over yet. Nemesis says that they are all under arrest for not disbanding as they were ordered to. Elsewhere Llan the Sorcerer is pleased because the Gateway of Night is now opened, and this is the violence that he had always sought to create.

Alpha Flight #81- Walter, Madison, Heather, and Lil sit in a drunk tank waiting to be released or spoken to. Walt wonders why the government would prohibit their group. The General that offered to give Alpha Flight its government funding back enters. He says that they are being held because of all the horrors that have occurred since that day. They believe that Alpha Flight is involved somehow. Elsewhere Talisman has gathered Purple Girl (now Persuasion), Laura, Goblyn, and Aurora (who was being thrown out of her sisterhood for past association with Alpha Flight) together to get back Northstar (who found out that he is not an elf at all) from Asgard.

Alpha Flight #82- Walter sits at a table with the others. The General asks if they are all that is left of Alpha Flight. They say that Shaman and Puck are in the hospital, and that the others quit or died. He tells them about the raining fish that fell to the ground and spelled out “Alpha Flight”. He says that in each death or occurrence Alpha Flight’s name was spelled out. They mention that they weren’t even in this dimension then. They say that they allowed themselves to be arrested and could have easily escaped. The General says that they were brought in on a higher authority than his, and that there are big plans for them. Shaman is released from the hospital. They tell him Puck was released, but after he shrank back to dwarf size he was held and drugged by agents of the Master. Aurora and the others get Northstar from a sacrifice to Llan, and are brought back to Talisman.

Alpha Flight #83- Suddenly General Winslow and the soldiers behind him turn into some type of tenatacled monster. They tell Walter and the others that only Talisman can save them, and that she is beyond all help. Shaman put Talisman under to send her consciousness to another plane. Walt changes into Sasquatch to fight. Elsewhere Talisman learns what she needs to defeat Llan.

Alpha Flight #84- Sasquatch is tied up by the strange tentacled creatures. Madison Jefferies calls out the metal from the building’s supports and skewers the monsters’ flesh. He then uses the building’s electricity to zap them. The beasts drop dead, but as the soldiers. Sasquatch says that this isn’t going to look good and suggests they leave. Sasquatch rips a hole through the wall and throws Jefferies into his Box suit outside. The soldiers come in and see General Winslow dead. Vindicator tries to explain, but of course they don’t believe her. Alpha gets away as Box flies off with the others. Talisman goes off to face Llan alone. Meanwhile Box asks Sasquatch to become Walter so he is a little easier to carry. Back at their base Walter and the others hear about Talisman going off, but Aurora tells them that Talisman told them to gather anyway. Walter hugs Aurora as the team welcomes her and Northstar back. Suddenly Gamma Flight breaks in the door to arrest Alpha Flight dead or alive. Gamma Flight’s Silver blasts Sasquatch with freezing energy. Sasquatch breaks free of the ice prison. Alpha defeats Gamma. Vindicator points out to Nemesis that they are not killers since they could be killing them right now. She explains that Llan set them up. Talisman gets to the Gateway of Night to find that it is already opened. She sends an image of what happened to Alpha’s base giving the knowledge to both Alpha and Gamma alike.

Alpha Flight #85- Gamma Flight decides to join up with Alpha to fight Llan. Vindicator has Laura open a portal to the Eye of the World. The get there and join the army in the fight against Llan’s monsters. Northstar attempts to give Aurora back her powers. The flash of light is brilliant and hurts Llan’s army. Talisman tries to open the Gateway of Day to release the Dark’s enemies, but Llan stops her. Eventually Llan’s monsters start to gain the upper hand. Sasquatch is poisoned by one of them. Llan traps Talisman. Talisman tells Northstar and Aurora to rush and tell Dr. Strange to open the Gateway of Day.

Alpha Flight #89- Inside the Master’s base, Puck stands horribly disfigured before Sasquatch, Aurora, Talisman, and Shaman. Sasquatch says that the Master has always gotten his kicks messing with people’s bodies and minds. Talisman asks what if they can’t restore him. Sasquatch says that they might have no choice but to put him out of his misery. While the others communicate mentally with Puck Sasquatch looks in the Master’s files. He discovers that within Puck the DNA sample from when Scramble worked on him is still within Puck’s body. He suggests trying to activate this DNA, but says that it would make him a dwarf again permanently. Puck tells them to do it. Sasquatch has Puck inside a container very similar to the one he had Aurora in when he altered her powers. He starts the procedure, but before it finishes the Master and his other mutated soldiers arrive. Puck emerges from the tube whole and short again. The fight begins. Elsewhere Forge, Bochs, Diamond Lil, and Windshear find what is supposedly the real James Hudson again. Turns out the Jaxon robot had the story right it just wasn’t his story. Heather and Wolverine wind up fighting Gamma Flight.

Alpha Flight #90- While they try not to hurt the “remnant men” Talisman sticks her head into Shaman’s pouch. Millions of spells shift through her mind until she finds the one that restores the remnant men to normal. Master decides to take the knowledge that he gained and go. Suddenly his ship disappears from around the Alphans. One second they are in space, and in the next they are back on Earth. Talisman has collapsed. Later after getting Gamma Flight to disband Heather meets up with Sasquatch and the others at the hospital. Madison and Diamond Lil return with Windshear to show Heather that Hudson is alive. She rushes to his arms. With their government sanction restored the Prime Minister gives Alpha Flight a new headquarters. Beta Flight will be the trainees and Gamma Flight the researchers. Heather changes her name to Guardian. The other members are now Sasquatch, Aurora, Northstar, Windshear, Diamond Lil, Vindicator, Box, Shaman, Puck, Persuasion, Witchfire, and Talisman.
