Jen says that she is done with “the legal racket”. She says as an odd fundraiser her old school is re-enacting the trial of Magneto. She-Hulk is the defense, and says that the more she looks into it the less it looks like an open and shut case. As they leave She-Hulk warns them that they are making a mistake dealing with Doom, but Storm says that Reed has left them no choice. Back in New York She-Hulk stands with the other Fantastic Four as they call Reed to account for a journal Susan found that indicates that Reed purposely exposed the group to cosmic rays to become the first super-team. Druid tells them all to get aboard. Photon shows up as the ship is flying. She asks what he signaled the alarm for. Druid says that he figured that she would want him to, and then tells them of a call they got about an android in a truck. Photon flies ahead and finds the “Fixer” activating the Awesome Android. Photon is gassed and touched by the Awesome Android. Namor arrives and the Awesome Android uses Photon’s power to blast him. She-Hulk thinks about what a shame it is that Namor is married because she would have liked to have gotten it on with him. She-Hulk dodges the blasts and starts punching the Android. She-Hulk is distracted as the truck the Android used to be in takes off. Awesome Android knocks her down with a punch. Android tries to grab the “Fixer”, but Namor grabs him away. Druid locates Android’s nerve ganglia under his armpit. She-Hulk punches it and deactivates the Android. Photon is ticked at the way Druid is imposing himself as leader. They discover that the “Fixer” was the researcher who was controlled by the armor, and that Marrina has gone missing.

A news camera man gets out and starts trying to direct She-Hulk saying it'll been seen all over the state. She says if he doesn't get away from her she is gonna put his hide all over the state. As She-Hulk tries to calm the anxious Namor the Avengers receive a distress call from Mentallo. She-Hulk flies the quinjet as Dr. Druid traces Mentallo's location. The quinjet is shot down, but She-Hulk gets the nose up. The Avengers get past Fixer's defenses and into his lair, but are then blown into tunnels. She-Hulk punches through the tube to get back into the main room. She-Hulk and Namor pull up the wall to find Mentallo. They take him to Avengers mansion and find the real Fixer has been trapped in a tube the entire time. They review what they know of their real foe, the Super Adaptoid.

It also finds what it wants inside; information on the Cosmic Cube. She-Hulk wakes up and starts fighting the Sentry again. She-Hulk leads it on a chase to the shore. Sentry smashes She-Hulk with a tree and into the water. Marrina pulls the Sentry underwater. Machine Man revolts, but Super Adaptoid defeats it. Namor pulls off the Awesome Android’s head off. She-Hulk pushes Tess-1 into a deep section of water causing it to sink. They rush back to Hydrobase to find that Super Adaptoid has called for Kubik, the transformed Cosmic Cube. They get outside to witness the Supreme Adaptoid on his way to creating five billion adaptoids. Druid and Black Knight only to be imprisoned with the others. Kubik emerges from the black hole and goes to talk to Captain America. Cap gets Kubik to send him to the Adaptoid. Cap tells Adaptoid that he challenges and since his creators specifically designed it to oppose him it is his destiny to accept. Adaptoid says that he makes his own destiny now. Cap questions whether this wasn’t also part of AIM’s programming. Supreme Adaptoid has one of the adaptoids attack him. Cap winds up fighting one of himself. Druid gets an idea and goes to talk to the Supreme Adaptoid. He offers to help it. Druid causes Adaptoid to realize that he has no plans past domination, that without something to imitate it will be left with nothing to do. Cap beats his Adaptoid. Cap gets Adaptoid to understand that human life has value because of its brevity. To prove he can do it the Adaptoid imitates death. Kubik releases the Avengers and takes the piece of himself that was in Adaptoid.

Thor smashes it, but She-Hulk tells him that it didn’t work. Thor is gonna hit it with lightning, but Jen tells him that isn’t a good idea. She-Hulk plucks her finger into his helmet and tells him to come into the 1980’s. Photon comes along and tries to help. She blasts the rocks. She-Hulk says that now instead of having to pick up a few big rocks she gets to pick up thousands of little rocks. Photon apologizes and thinks about her leadership decisions all being wrong. Namor and Marrina swim the last group of rocks back to the mainland. Thor shows everyone that Jarvis is back. They sit down to breakfast and toast Jarvis. Photon returns and says that to improve relations with City Hall she has agreed to have the Avengers attend a party. That night they fly over in a quinjet. She-Hulk listens to a proposal to endorse the international federation of body builders. She listens to a few others, but suddenly Marrina freaks out and runs out of the place. She-Hulk backs up Photon. Black Knight is with Druid, but Thor says that the Avengers follow their leader not take votes. They decide to contact Hank Pym. Suddenly the Avengers get another distress call about a sea monster attacking them. Photon quickly leads the team out there. Druid says that Photon seems like she is losing her cool. She-Hulk tells Druid to ease up and that she bets that she has good reason. They get there to find an entire squadron of modern warships destroyed. They tow the lifeboats to safety. The navy isn’t thrilled to learn that the leviathan is Namor’s wife. Druid, Photon, and She-Hulk argue some more about killing Marrina.

They try one on her underbelly, but it too is too strong. They finally get one down her throat and the giant leviathan transforms back into the body of Marrina. Namor is flying Marrina home when she freaks again and reverts to leviathan. Photon decides that she must die. Photon and Thor try electrocution, but it doesn’t kill her. Namor takes Black Knight’s ebony blade and attacks Marrina. As the leviathan sinks into the water dying, She-Hulk and the others see that she had laid three eggs. They hatch and quickly escape. Marrina dies and Namor vows to track down her sons and tell them of their mother. The Avengers head home and realize that Photon is not there.

Avengers #294- On the flight home the Black Knight starts to have a seizure from the blood lust. Namor used the sword to kill Marrina. He calms when Thor gives him his sword. Dr. Druid says that he has set a course. She-Hulk says that they aren’t leaving until they find Photon. Druid says that the course is to search the area for her. They search for hours until they run low on gas and then they head home. Back at Hydrobase She-Hulk says that they are barely half of what they were with Namor, Marrina, and Photon gone and with Black Knight cursed with the blood lust. Thor suggests that they should call for some reserve Avengers. Black Knight starts to freak out, but when he regains his senses he detects an intruder. Photon has returned, but she is very emaciated. Later She-Hulk tells Mr. and Mrs. Rambeau that Monica dissipated herself when she accidentally electrified the entire Atlantic Ocean. She-Hulk is flying them to the hospital in a quinjet. Druid proposes that he take over as chairman. Black Knight is nuts, Thor is busy, and She-Hulk apparently doesn’t project the right “image”. She-Hulk yells at him. Druid influences the weakened Photon to vote for him. Druid fails to influence Thor, but he says that he will abide by the majority. Druid manages to influence She-Hulk and Black Knight to vote for him.

She gets Druid to send Thor alone against a giant mechanical Tyrannosaurus Rex she loosed upon our time. Nebula has convinced Druid to kill Thor because he didn’t vote for him so when Thor sounds the alarm for the other Avengers to help him Druid takes control of She-Hulk’s mind once again and gets her to think that Thor isn’t worth saving. She-hulk was just wondering why she voted for Druid when Druid puts the idea that because Thor never flirts with her that he isn’t worth saving. She-Hulk takes control again and starts to run to help Thor. Druid forces her to sit in a chair. She-Hulk says that she doesn’t want to sit, but cannot help it. The chair restrains her. Druid puts a mental block in She-Hulk to prevent her from escaping. Black Knight tries to sneak away and fly out, but Druid stops him. She-Hulk kicks Druid and Black Knight escapes. Nebula arrives and yells at Druid. She-Hulk tries to wake Dr. Druid from her control, but Nebula’s control seems complete. Nebula sends Druid after Black Knight and Thor. Nebula turns her attention to She-Hulk. Black Knight saves Thor though his body is immobilized by his armor. Druid senses that Thor will be coming for him, and he has She-Hulk ready to battle him.

Avengers #296- She-Hulk watches with Druid, Nebula, and Jarvis as Thor and the Black Knight (whose body has been transformed into a giant sword that can cut through anything. Nebula asks She-Hulk if she can take Thor. She-Hulk says that Thor is too old fashioned to worry about fighting a woman. When Thor and Dane return She-Hulk is standing over an “unconscious” Druid. Druid pops up and places a machine on Black Knight’s neck. She-Hulk puts one on Thor’s neck as well. The devices, mindbenders, affect coordination. She-Hulk tackles Thor. She smacks him around until Druid gets two more mindbenders on him. Druid says that when Knight and Thor awaken they will be completely obedient. She-Hulk says that she doesn’t trust Thor, but Nebula says that She-Hulk’s mindbenders are working. She-Hulk admits that she would jump off a cliff if Nebula told her to. When everyone is awake and being controlled they ask how they are to make the time jump. Nebula tells them all about the Council of Kangs and how she learned of the ultimate weapon. The Council knows all about Nebula’s deception and are sending three Kangs to protect Thor from dying because they know he makes it through the time bubble that is the home to the renegade Celestial and the ultimate weapon. The Kangs arrive too late however as they have already taken off. They make it through the turbulence to the bubble at the heart of time

Avengers #297- Thor asks Nebula again what the weapon is. When Nebula doesn’t reply She-Hulk correctly guesses that Nebula doesn’t know what it is. As Nebula flies the quinjet through the time bubble the Avengers look out and see thousands of other quinjets also trying to get through the time bubble. Thor adds boost and Knight cuts through everything. They can’t seem to get through. Nebula realizes that she is not an Avenger and has Druid and the others nominate and vote for her. Unknown to Nebula the Kangs have gotten onto the ship by going into the past. She realizes that they are using too much fuel and has She-Hulk jettison the Black Knight. Lord Kang saves Black Knight with a tractor beam. Kang takes control of Thor’s mindbenders and has him attack Nebula. She-Hulk grabs Thor and Nebula releases the energy from the Kang suit she stole. Kang can’t allow her to kill Thor so he climbs onto the side of the ship and frees She-hulk from her mindbender. She-Hulk vows to kill Nebula for what she has done to her. Kang frees Black Knight from the mindbender. Thor is returned to Nebula’s power and she orders him to stop She-Hulk. She-Hulk pounds on Thor until she breaks the mindbenders. Nebula orders Druid to stall them. Druid dives at Thor, but She-Hulk grabs him out of the air and smacks him in the head. She-Hulk grabs nebula and starts tearing off her Kang costume. Thor tells her to stop or she will kill her. She-Hulk says that is idea, but Nebula breaks free and says that she should have killed them when she had the chance. Nebula tries to release enough power to destroy the ship so she can teleport away, but the armor shorts out and starts sparking. The quinjet is ripped open and Nebula is pulled out into space. Druid leaps out after her and they are both pulled into a vortex. As they head home She-Hulk starts to cry. She says that she wishes she had killed her and how everything is different now. They get back to Hydrobase and free Jarvis. Thor asks She-Hulk what is wrong, but She-Hulk says for him not to dare to act civil with her after the things she did and said. Thor says that they have already forgotten about it. She-Hulk says that she hasn’t. She says that she needs to be alone and heal. The Avengers seemingly disband after notifying the West Coast Avengers.

Avengers #305- Captain America stands in Hydrobase and calls out, “Avengers Assemble!” The room fills with many Avengers past and present. She-Hulk is among them. Cap says that he proposes that instead of just being a team that the Avengers consist of every Avenger that ever served. Everyone pretty much agrees that if they are needed they can be called upon to help. After the others take off She-Hulk is walking with Captain America and Black Panther. They discuss that Gilgamesh had challenged Thor to some sparring. Inside it kinda turns into a free for all. She-Hulk catches Black Panther after he takes back Captain America’s shield from Gilgamesh. Quasar accidentally causes Thor’s next throw to go wild. She-Hulk takes Cap’s shield and blocks the hammer. She-Hulk still gets knocked down from the impact. The sparring ends and the team suddenly feels Hydrobase shake. The entire base has risen out of the see on a growing lava uprooting. They run out to face thousands of non-living Lava men. She-Hulk helps Gilgamesh out and smashes several with a giant rock. She-Hulk and Gilgamesh throw sand on many more. Eventually they start to get overwhelmed. The Lava men turn into running lava. The team is surrounded by, and sealed inside, a lava ball. The ball starts to roll and it falls off the risen Hydrobase into the water.

Avengers #306- She-Hulk and the others keep breaking open the ball, but it continually heals itself up. Suddenly the sphere opens and a dehydrated Namor is pushed through. The sphere starts to roll again. After the sphere stops rolling Thor and She-Hulk concentrate on breaking apart the sphere. Thor manages to get out and breaks apart the sphere from the outside. Once outside however the Avengers have no clue where they are inside the underground. She-Hulk says that they better help Namor soon. Thor creates some rain to revive him. The Avengers then meet Jinku, the witch doctor of the Lava Men. He tells them that they are his prisoners. Jinku then tells them about how they used to be regular people until their god turned them into Lava Men. Apparently their god was a demon that the Avengers slayed in Inferno. When the “god” died the Lava Men either died or turned into statues. Jinku then sentences them to death and a giant horned lava monster emerges ready to kill them.

Avengers #307- The Avengers are fighting the monster without much success. She-Hulk hits the beast in the foot with a stalactite, but the monster smacks her away. Cap and Panther are out. She-Hulk, Namor, and Thor are severely depleted from the excessive heat. They manage to bury the monster under rubble. The beast rises up. She-Hulk and Namor go unconscious. Gilgamesh rushes off alone and the monster knocks him out. Suddenly the team revives as the heat becomes less oppressive. The statues that were formerly Lava Men become golden skinned beings. They help Jinku transform as well. Jinku apologizes. Gilgamesh is still unconscious.

Avengers #308- She-Hulk asks Cap if they can’t go any faster as she cannot find a pulse on Gilgamesh. Cap says that they aren’t really even flying the thing but it is in control of the former Lava Men. Cap wonders what happened to the Hydrobase (Susan Richards lowered it with her force field). They return and the ship reforms into the former Lava Men. But even with the superior technology at Hydrobase they can’t figure out what is wrong with Gilgamesh. They take him to Sersi’s house and then head to Olympia. When they get there however they find that Olympia is gone.

Avengers #309- She-Hulk and the other Avengers stand before a giant crater where Olympia used to be. Sersi searches telepathically for any indication of her home, but gets weak from the enormity of what she senses. She-Hulk holds Cap’s shield for him as he holds Sersi. Thor reminds everyone that Gilgamesh is near death and needs to find Olympia. When Sersi wakes up she tells She-Hulk that the other Eternals are near, but not on Earth. Cap says that makes no sense, but She-Hulk tells him to ease up. Thor says that he thinks he knows what she means. Thor hands Gilgamesh off to She-Hulk. He spins his hammer and opens a door to the dimension Olympia is in…the Negative Zone. She-Hulk says that she thought the only way into the Negative Zone was through the Fantastic Four’s headquarters. Thor says that he tapped into the remaining energy that sent Olympia into the Negative Zone. She-Hulk isn’t able to get any readings as Cap pilots the quinjet through the Negative Zone. They happen upon Olympia floating in the Negative Zone. As they land She-Hulk notes that she doesn’t see any signs of life anywhere. Sersi says that she still senses the Eternals. They break into groups and She-Hulk goes with Sersi, Cap with Namor, and Thor alone. She-Hulk thinks she hears thunder, but isn’t sure that is possible. Sersi tells She-Hulk that they are in the High Tower, the holiest of places in Olympia, and that no mortal has ever walked there before. Sersi tells She-Hulk to hold her breath in awe as they pass through the door. Sersi bumps into the door and falls over. She-Hulk asks if she is impressed yet. She-Hulk bashes the door open to find the hall ruined. Sersi says that her sense of the Eternals is strongest there. As they stand by a hole in the wall another “thunder” blast hits them. She-Hulk falls out the hole, and because of the increased gravity is knocked out when she hits. Thor finds Sersi is intangible. Blastaar blasts Thor.

Avengers #310- The team starts to wake up as Thor battles with Blastaar. Blastaar had seemingly disintegrated Sersi. Captain America can’t fly and comes across She-Hulk lying on the ground. He gives her a hand and she tells him that it is Blastaar attacking them. Thor and Blastaar fall right before them. The Avengers surround them. She-Hulk asks Blastaar how he survived Annihilus’ attack. He tells them of how the Eternals saved him from space and revived him. In gratitude Blastaar says that he killed them all as quickly as possible. As he tells the tale Blastaar sneak attacks and knocks out She-Hulk and Thor. He then knocks out Namor. Cap puts up a solo fight until the Warriors Three arrive. Blastaar tries to run, but he is caught up by energy forms that turn out to be the Eternals. The Avengers wake to see the Eternals reform and Ikaris knock out Blastaar. Gilgamesh recovers and the Avengers head home.

Fantastic Four #333- She-Hulk and some of the other Avengers come to Four Freedom Plaza. Aron the Watcher has replaced the real FF with his clones, and the Avengers are starting to realize something is wrong. "Susan Richards" pushes them all out the door with her force field. They rush back in. She-Hulk fights "She-Thing", but the fake FF disappear and a ship takes off to go back to their Aron.

Avengers West Coast #47- An alarm goes off at the east coast Avengers headquarters when the quinjet that the Scarlet Witch took to Saunders College is destroyed after they go inside. She took it without authorization however so they don’t know where she was going. She-Hulk and Captain America hear the alarm. They get a rough idea where the quinjet was destroyed and decide to head to Texas to investigate. The group pretended that they wanted to help the Vision, but really they just wanted to capture Scarlet Witch.

Avengers West Coast #48- She-hulk flies with Captain America in a quinjet to track the distress signal from Scarlet Witch’s quinjet. She-Hulk requests permission to land from Dallas-Fort Worth. She-Hulk and Cap talk to Mr. Random, the man that secretly is holding Scarlet Witch. He says he hopes nothing bad has happened to her since she left them. He says that he contacted her to offer her use of their vast robotic department in restoring the Vision. He offers to take them to the Vision who is “still with them”. As they wait for Vision She-Hulk tells Cap that something feels wrong to her. Cap concurs, but then Vision enters and says that there is no reason to be distressed over, but admits he doesn’t know where Wanda is. Mr. Random takes Cap and She-Hulk on a tour, but is called away. Random suggests they continue to look around, and that someone will direct them out when they are done. She-Hulk says it seems to her that the Avengers have much better equipment to handle Vision’s reconstruction. Cap says they will come back later unannounced. Random went to see that the Scarlet Witch has finished being “assimilated”, and now thinks that the views of her father Magneto are even more correct than he might have guessed. Later Cap and She-Hulk sneak back into Mr. Random’s office. They discover that Scarlet Witch is being held in the sub-basement of the building south of the one they are in. She-Hulk dives out the window and blasts a hole through to the stairway to the sub-basement. She-Hulk pounds the door down where they find Wanda standing there. Wanda says that she has been shown the light, and that they too will be assimilated. Wanda whips the rubble that She-Hulk created around enough to knock both her and Captain America out.

Avengers West Coast #49- She-Hulk lies unconscious in a pile of rubble with Captain America. They carry them away. Later, She-Hulk and Cap wake up inside a room. Cap says that he is glad She-Hulk caught on to his idea of playing possum so as not to hurt Wanda. Cap goes to escape, but She-Hulk grabs Cap. She says that since he has not been properly assimilated that he must be destroyed. Captain America keeps dodging She-Hulk’s blows, but he is knocked out by Mr. Random’s blaster. Vision grows suspicious and brings in Hawkeye and the “Great Lakes Avengers” who were looking for the distress signal too. Later still She-Hulk stands over the unconscious Captain America as they try to find why he is unassimilated. She-Hulk says that it must be the super soldier serum in his veins that block it. She-Hulk asks what Random means when he is always saying “we” or “that which endures”. Wanda appears. She-Hulk and Wanda apologize for their earlier skirmish. Wanda explains the nature of “that which endures” exists within all life and guides a species to its greatest potential. Hawkeye and the others attack. She-Hulk faces off against Big Bertha. She-Hulk rips off a giant pillar and hits Bertha with it. Bertha is unharmed and jumps onto She-Hulk. She-Hulk eventually throws Bertha off, but then suddenly Mr. Immortal destroys the assimilator that connects all the “that which endures”. She-Hulk is freed from control. Even Mr. Random is freed and his name isn’t even Random.
