Wonder Man's chronology continues...

Avengers vol. 3 #18- A soldier comes out of the crowd to kill Cap as Wrecker decrees that he dies. The other Avengers are out helping destroy the army’s big guns. They are trying to let Arkon’s soldiers do most of the fighting for honor’s sake. Vision’s holographic human form phases out of Cap’s uniform. The soldier that came forth turns out to be Cap in disguise. Vision phases into the prisons and frees Arkon. Arkon is down in the dumps, but when he sees Scarlet Witch he perks right up and starts flirting with her. Simon gets uneasy until Thundra yells at Arkon for throwing her over. Arkon asks the Avengers if they will help him reclaim his kingdom. Simon agrees reasoning that there is no need to remind Arkon that he hated him for playing a villain in an Arkon movie. They capture the Grand Vizier and get him to recant everything that caused Arkon’s men to betray him. Simon stops the Vizier’s lizard from getting a message to the Wrecking Crew. Photon overloads the Wrecking Crew with power severing the link. Thor then withdraws the lightning from them.

Avengers vol. 3 #0- Simon apologizes to Scarlet Witch as a news show pans the Avengers and questions if Scarlet Witch has “traded up” going from one who was patterned after Wonder Man to the original Wonder Man. Wanda says as a mutant she doesn’t care about the public’s perception. Wonder Man and Scarlet Witch talk about how Reaper is doing in the hospital after Wonder Man pulled him back into the land of the living. Reaper is still bitter and withdrawn. Wonder Man says that his visits don’t seem to help, but he can’t stop going since he is his brother. They find the hospital has been trashed. One of the doctors says that a bunch of robots came in and grabbed the Reaper. Later Wonder Man flies Scarlet Witch in as Thor fights Firebrand. Scarlet Witch blasts Firebrand with her hex power. Thor opens a dimensional rift, and Wonder Man and Thor punch him into the rift.

Avengers vol. 3 #19- At the Café Transia the Simon cheers on the Scarlet Witch who is performing a gypsy dance on stage. Wanda returns to the table and kisses Simon. She says that she thought she would freeze up there, but she thinks that maybe Simon’s outgoing nature encouraged her to dance. Wanda notices that Simon is down, and guesses that it’s the fact that his brother Eric escaped from the sanitarium. Wanda says that maybe he didn’t escape because it was robots that took him, but neither really believes it. Suddenly Wanda spots the Vision in his human guise watching her again. He vanishes. Wanda asks about the man and the owner says that Mr. Shade has been a steady customer for some time now. Back at the mansion Wasp gets word to the Avengers that Hank Pym has been kidnapped by a robot, and then Jarvis gives them the news that the Wakanda Design Group has just been robbed by a robot made of adamantium. They find Alkhema-2 there. The group isn’t doing very well until Scarlet Witch and Wonder Man arrive. Wanda gives her a chance to surrender, but Alkhema says that she has protected her molecular rearranger. Wanda uses her new and improved control to ravage Alkhema. Alkhema says that if they are looking for Ultron they should turn on CNN. Simon and the others watch the news coverage of Ultron brutally slaughtering the country of Sloernia. They stand aghast.

Avengers vol. 3 #20- While Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, Justice and Firestar check in with the government about Ultron, Wonder Man, Scarlet Witch, Vision, and Wasp go to investigate Pym’s laboratory where he was taken. The room is a shambles. All technology seems to be stripped. Wasp recalls that Hank was working on a hive communications system. Simon says that this isn’t the first time he recalls seeing a scenario like this. He says that when he went to see when his brother was broken out of the sanitarium that his room looked just like this. Suddenly the room is filled with all of Ultron’s previous bodies crash into the room. They remark how convenient it is that all four Avengers that the “prime one” wanted are gathered together like this. They start to fight the Ultrons. Wanda starts frying molecular rearrangers. Simon says that he has defeated adamantium Ultrons before just by slamming them hard enough to dislodge something on the inside. One of the Ultrons manages to knock Scarlet Witch out with an encephalo-beam. The others go down, but Simon keeps fighting. He says that he is ready for the ray and that it won’t work against him. Wonder Man says that nothing will put him down. Suddenly the giant foot of Ultron-7 stomps Wonder Man to the ground. The other Ultrons all team up and pound Simon unconscious. They take off with all the prey. Later Simon wakes up manacled into place along side Vision, Wanda, Hank Pym, Wasp, and Grim Reaper. Ultron tells them that along with Jocasta and Alkhema that they are his family and that they will witness the death of humanity and the seeds of the new masters of the entire world.

Avengers vol. 3 #21- As the Avengers fight their way to Ultron an already unconscious Wanda screams in pain. Simon wants to know what Ultron did to her. Ultron explains that though their shackles keep their powers from functioning the unpredictability of Scarlet Witch’s powers require that she remain unconscious as long as she is his prisoner. Wasp wants to hear about Ultron’s new race and what that has to do with them. Ultron says that he has always been a “family man”. He says that in the past he sought to take over the world and replace humans with robots subservient to him, but that the nature of robots would mean that they would all just be extensions of himself. Ultron says that Hank Pym’s new hive technology allows a singular mind without sacrificing individuality. Ultron wants to record their brain patterns and then mix them together for infinite combinations. He has selected his father, mother, son, his son’s “kin” Simon and Wanda, and the Reaper both because he is Simon’s brother and Ultron’s first human contact. They all watch as the Avengers manage to defeat Ultron-16. Suddenly Ultron-17 is standing next to the Avengers. Then suddenly Ultron-23 is there as well. Firestar asks how many of them there are. Ultron-458 says that is a good question.

Avengers vol. 3 #22- Simon and the others are forced to watch as Vision struggles while Ultron records Vision’s brain patterns. Ultron remarks how both Simon’s and Vision’s brain patterns are now different having changed from a point when they were once identical. Hank Pym reveals that Ultron-1 was designed using Hank’s own brain pattern. Ultron finishes with Vision’s scan. Only the Grim Reaper remains unscanned. Later after Reaper’s scanning Ultron hangs Reaper back into his shackles. Wonder Man yells at Ultron, but Vision interrupts him. He says that he cannot allow this madness to continue. Vision turns into his holographic form. Vision says that he has been communicating with Ultron’s computers. He says that he wants to talk to Ultron. Vision says that he feels Ultron’s pain. He says that he has found that no matter how deep you bury your emotions that you still feel them. He says that he still feels love and hurt. Simon and Wanda listen intently. Vision’s real body merges with his holographic image. Vision offers to work through Ultron’s problems with him. Ultron blasts Vision, but Vision says that he was really only using the time to free Reaper. Reaper uses a laser torch to free everyone. Suddenly the other Avengers are also standing ready to fight Ultron. Ultron is still winning the fight until Justice arrives with Antartic Vibranium, the anti-metal, that he just got from that AIM warehouse. Pym uses it to beat Ultron into nothingness.

Fantastic Four vol. 3 #23-

Iron Man annual ‘99- At Avenges mansion Wonder Man comes in to tell Iron Man of eight people that he didn’t hear about on SHIELD’s list of ionic powered people. Wonder Man says he could go talk to them. Iron Man says that he should do it since Wonder Man is also a potential victim and might bring the killer to them.

Galactus the Devourer #2- Galactus has begun to consume the life forces on the planets he devourers and that life force has become like a drug to him. Wonder Man and the Avengers watch the news report on Galactus’ approach. Firestar asks how they can possibly defeat him. Simon says that maybe the Surfer will stop him.

Galactus the Devourer #3- The Avengers go to meet up with the Fantastic Four. Reed Richards says that he can no longer recall what the cosmic meaning to Galactus’ existence is because the meaning was so cosmic that mortal minds cannot comprehend it. Wonder Man says that he hopes that doesn’t mean that they are supposed to sit on their hands while Galactus devourers the Earth. Reed says that he has developed a photon-drill that is hopefully powerful enough to break through Galactus’ armor. They hope additional energy loss will either cause Galactus to flee or weaken him enough to be defeated. The drill works, but Galactus stops the leak and directs the loosed power at the heroes. Galactus retreats to let his ship to the work of devouring. The heroes divide up to try and destroy the siphons. Simon manages to damage one of the five siphons. Surfer enters the ship to appeal to Galactus. Surfer gets Galactus to leave Earth by agreeing to become his herald again.

Galactus the Devourer #4- Simon says that he can’t believe that Surfer decided to be Galactus’ herald again.

Galactus the Devourer #5- The Avengers and Fantastic Four are sitting down to a meal as Alicia Masters returns from seeking Silver Surfer. Alicia tells them of the other worlds being destroyed. Thing tells her that Reed already has something cooked up to try and stop Galactus. Everyone is fitting with trackers in case they are lost and then they blast off tracking Galactus. Surfer has lead Galactus to the Sh’iar hoping that their warrior ways might defeat Galactus and save the universe. Surfer joins up with them against Galactus.

Galactus the Devourer #6- The Sh’iar are attacking Galactus’ force field hoping to further weaken him. Reed says that he has designed machines to clog Galactus’ energy siphons. Scarlet Witch uses her power to create a weak spot in the force field. Everyone senses the weakness and attacks the one point. The force field collapses. Surfer flees with a machine under his arm. Galactus begins to feed. For some reason Simon remains behind watching as the most invulnerable flying heroes (Torch and Alicia Masters?) take Reed’s siphon cloggers towards the ship. As the clogs start to work Galactus absorbs all the ship’s power into himself. The ship starts to fall. Simon and Firestar carry Sue as her force field carries everyone else away from the falling debris. Galactus hovers in the air. Wanda creates another weak spot in Galactus’ defenses as everyone attacks him. Surfer makes it to Galactus’ world ship and fixes it so that it will not obey him any longer. Surfer pleads with Galactus to turn away from this course, but Galactus refuses and dies. Galactus tells Surfer that he has foreseen his death for eons, and that is the reason he gave Surfer power so that he might one-day kill him. Galactus warns Surfer of the greater danger to come. Simon and the others rejoice, as Galactus becomes the second sun of Homeworld. After they feast they head back to Earth.

Avengers vol. 3 #23- Simon and Wanda stand outside Vision’s door. He asks her if she wants him to go in with her. Wanda says that she wants to try alone first hoping that he might open up to her. Vision says that he would like to be left alone, but Wanda says that they need to talk. Vision says that they have nothing to talk about. Wanda confronts Vision with the fact that he said he still loved her to Ultron. Vision says that it is his concern, not hers. Vision starts to give Wanda logic, but Simon comes through the door saying that this has nothing to do with logic or reasoning, but that Vision is bottling it up. Simon says that they care about him and for both his and Wanda’s sake he has to be honest about it. Vision says that it is for Wanda’s sake that he bottles it up. Vision goes on to say that it is Simon who is the problem. Simon asks why he is the problem. He says that he has offered to step aside with Wanda. Vision says that it isn’t that bothering him. Simon wants to know what it is. Vision says that Simon likes jazz. Simon agrees. Vision says that Simon also likes chess and plays it well. Simon agrees saying that it brought him closer to his father. Vision goes on further to say that Simon likes Walt Kelly. Vision starts a passage, and Simon finishes it for him. Simon is thrilled saying that he never knew Vision knew that stuff too. Vision freaks out and decks Simon. Wanda yells at Vision, and Vision apologizes. He then floats up and phases out of the mansion. Simon tells Wanda that he is the problem, and that it is between the Williams boys. Wonder Man flies out the window after him. Vision tells Wonder Man to leave him alone. Wonder Man says to call him Simon. He says that he may not have been the best brother, but that they are going to talk about this. Vision says that he wants to be alone, and then phases his hand through Simon’s chest and partially solidifies it. Simon yells but says that he won’t fight back. He still wants to talk about it. Vision says that Simon really doesn’t get it. Vision shouts that his existence is a sham and a mockery because of Simon. Vision says that Simon didn’t do anything it is just that he exists. Vision says that Simon knows how he was created. Vision says that the body is unimportant, but that the mind is where identity lies. He says that when Simon was dead he could pretend that his thoughts and likes were his own, but none of his likes are his, it all came from Simon. Vision says that the only thing that was his that wasn’t first Simon’s was his relationship with Wanda, but he ended that to spare her pain. But then Simon returned to life and was in love with Wanda, and Vision had to realize that even his love of Wanda came from Simon’s taste. Vision says that now Wanda has the real thing and not the copy, but that he is revealed as a shadow or copy that is no longer needed because the original is back. Simon says that even Ultron noted that they were now different. That like twins that grow different from life experiences that they are different. Vision says that Simon is still the essence and he the reflection. Vision says how Simon must pity him. Simon says that he envies Vision because he is not him. Simon says that his entire life is defined by shame and failure from his attempts to win his father’s love, to becoming an embezzler and super villain. Simon says that he never had to pay for it. That he was forgiven. He says that he died, but that he came back a hero. Simon tried to confess that he was the true embezzler, but even then he was forgiven. Then he became arrogant, self centered, and after the Kree nega-bomb he even turned into a killer. Simon says that when he did die again that he felt that he was finally paying for his mistakes, but now he is back and forgiven again. Simon says that Vision is the man he could have been if he had been stronger. Vision says that he had not thought of this. He says that he must think and floats away. Simon returns to the mansion. He tells Wanda that Vision is gone, and that he doesn’t know if he is coming back or just one more thing he has ruined.

Fantastic Four vol. 3 #27- The Avengers summon the Thing to Avengers mansion to try to find out why Susan Richards is marrying Dr. Doom (psst it’s really Reed in Doom’s armor but nobody knows that). Thing tells them that he appreciates their concern, but that it is a private matter. Thing says that he is leaving, but Iron Man says that he can’t go. Thing fights his way out. Thing decks Wonder Man, but both sides are pulling their punches. Thing leaves after asking Captain America to just trust him.

Avengers vol. 3 #27- Simon sits at the meeting table as Duane Freeman goes over the publicity nightmare that the Avengers are going through because there are no African-American Avengers and because there are mutants on the team. Captain America has already resigned from the active roster. Justice and Firestar say that they want to rebuild their romance so they are taking a leave of absence. Simon says that if it is going to leave the team understrength he doesn’t have to take his leave of absence. Wanda repeats what Justice said that if you wait for the right time to go you never will. Wanda says that he needs to go deal with his past situation in California. Duane wants to bring in an African-American Avenger, but Iron Man says that the Avengers don’t work with quotas. Simon says that it isn’t that simple. Duane suggest asking their past minority members first. When Freeman brings up that Thor must apologize to the media Thor freaks and quits the team. Wasp and Hank Pym rejoin the team. Warbird rejoins the team. Triathalon is forced upon the Avengers by the Triune Understanding. They need one more member so Wasp calls She-Hulk. Simon says that he has a feeling the Avengers’ problems are just beginning. He agrees to become a reserve Avenger in case he is needed.

Avengers vol. 3 #33- flashback- As Simon gets off the plane returning Count Nefaria walks up behind Simon and drains his ionic energy to bind Simon to his will. Nefaria sends out Wonder Man to get Atlas for him.

Maximum Security #1-

Avengers vol. 3 #35- Wonder Man and the Avengers are commandeered by USAgent by authority of the United States government to fight alongside the alien prisoners who have agreed to fight with them.

Maximum Security #3- The heroes of Earth and the alien prisoners override the Ruul/Kree barrier from Earth and transport themselves aboard the Ruul/Kree ship. Wonder Man stands amongst the others. They use the Omega codes to dissolve the barrier and Ruul/Kree guards rush out to fight. The Ruul try to reach the council, but their communications have been jammed. Back on Earth the big brains are trying to work up a machine to stop Ego. The Avengers Infinity team appears before the Council. Moondragon flashes into all their minds how the Supreme Intelligence used the Forever Crystal to evolve the Kree into the Ruul, and how he sent Ego to Earth. The Council is stunned. Supreme Intelligence’s image appears laughing as he explains how he has done it, and that the Kree have already taken back several Kree worlds and soon will rule the universe. Back on Earth they get the machine working, but in order to get Ego off Earth they must project him into a host body. The Surfer volunteers. Suddenly Ronan arrives fueled by the power of Ego. All the heroes return from space to fight Ronan. They try the machine with Surfer. As it works Ronan gets weaker, but Surfer cannot contain the power. Quasar volunteers for the job. This time the process works. USAgent knocks out Ronan. A week later most of the alien scum has been shipped off, but the Kree are still battling fiercely in space.

Avengers vol. 3 #36- Simon climbs out of the containment unit that Hank Pym had him in to test his ionic powers. Simon asks Hank what the verdict is, and Pym tells him that he is back to normal. He says that Simon is much better than Atlas after the ionic bomb went off. Pym makes a mental note to tell the Bolts that a calcium-boron shot helped Simon recover faster. Wanda asks Pym if there is anyway to stop Simon from getting mind controlled. Pym says that as long as Nefaria can take control of his ionic energy it looks hopeless. Wanda yells at Hank asking him why he isn’t trying to help. Hank apologizes and says that of course he will work on the situation. Wasp asks Simon and Wanda to excuse them because she wants to talk to Hank alone. When they head upstairs Simon and Wanda see Jarvis arguing with a woman who insists on seeing Triathalon. Triathalon tells Jarvis to let her in. The woman is Peggy Chandler, the wife of the 3-D Man, and she wants to know what Triathalon has done with her husband. While they watch film of thje 3-D Man Triathlon explains that he has never heard of the 3-D Man, and that the Triune Understanding gave him his powers. Peggy says that the Triune Understanding first appeared eight months after he disappeared. She asks how they gave him his symbol and powers. Suddenly Pagan and Lord Templar crashes into the mansion. They rush at them, but Templar blasts them backwards. Simon stands toe to toe with Pagan. Pagan says that Wonder Man hits hard, but Pagan hits harder. Simon tells Wanda to hex Pagan, but Wanda says that she hasn’t the time to concentrate so the hex will affect him. Wasp gets a priority call from Cap in Slorenia. Wasp says that innocents are in danger and they are more important than any building even Avengers mansion. Wasp tells Wonder Man, Scarlet Witch, and Iron Man to Slorenia. In Slorenia, Bloodwraith stands with the tallest building coming up to his shin.

Avengers vol. 3 #37- Simon and Wanda stand next to the giant cannon that Iron Man designed on the fligt over to Slorenia. If Bloodwraith is made of any known energy it should mess him up good. The thing does nothing. Bloodwraith swings his giant sword and destroys the cannon. He tells the Avengers to leave him alone, and asks if they haven’t done enough to Slorenia. He says that the country is this way because the Avengers failed to protect it. He says that he is going to share Slorenia’s pain with the world. Photon and Simon fly up to stop him. Photon is hurt in energy form by Bloodwraith’s sword, and then he smacks Wonder Man down. Cap tells Wanda to work the magic angle. Together Simon and Iron Man actually manage to slow Bloodwraith down. Bloodwraith feels it as Wanda starts to reason with the souls of the people of Slorenia that power Bloodwraith. Bloodwraith stops trying to cross the Slorenian border and heads towards Wanda to stop her. Wonder Man and the others slow him down as much as possible. Wanda tells everyone to get over the border. Wanda says that she couldn’t break Bloodwraith’s bond to Slorenia’s dead so she strengthened it trapping him with the Slorenia borders. Cap freaks over the deaths and escaping villains. He says that they need to be able to do better. Wasp suggests changes.

Avengers vol. 3 #38- Wonder Man, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Warbird, and Triathlon shut down another of Taskmaster’s schools, however Taskmaster once again gets away. Warbird calls it in to Vision who updates the status board that the Avengers are now using to chart everything about various super villains. The Avengers have decided to become proactive towards villains instead of reactive. Later back in New York, Triathlon says that it sounds like he and Simon are going back undercover to try and get recruited into another of Taskmaster’s schools. Delroy (Triathlon) asks Simon for some more acting tips as they walk into the mansion.

Avengers vol. 3 #39-Wonder Man and Triathlon jet towards Kalkhimithia where that other Avengers are already fighting a country full of gamma creatures. Triathlon says that Simon seems tense and asks him what is the matter. Simon says that his agent wants him to go out to California to concentrate on his acting career and to promote his foundation Second Chances. Triathlon says that it sounds like a good idea, but Simon says that he doesn’t want to just leave Wanda behind. He says that her love brought him back to life and he can’t just ditch her.

Avengers vol. 3 #40- Wonder Man and Triathlon return to Avengers mansion just in time to help Silverclaw defeat Diablo. They tie up Diablo and call the other Avengers to let them know that Diablo transformed the entire Kalkhimithia in an attempt to create a diversion for him to get into Avengers mansion. Diablo starts to laugh and says that he is not Diablo, but only homunculus sent to do a job. What they thought was Diablo dissolves and blows away from them.

Marvel Comics Presents #119- Wonder Man storms into his agent’s office complaining about being forced to wear the Wonder Man doppelganger’s clothes. Wonder Man fires Neal and storms out. A kid asks for Wonder Man’s autograph. As Wonder Man signs the kid asks if Wonder Man is looking for a new agent. Wonder Man says he is and the kid morphs into The Agent, and tells Wonder Man that he just signed a lifetime contract to make pictures on Mojo’s World. Wonder Man rehires his agent and screams to help him. Neal follows him to Mojo World. Neal tells Mojo that Marvel Comics have already optioned Wonder Man. Mojo turns Simon into a woman, and wants to call “her” Wonder Woman, but Neal stops Mojo before he can finish the thought. Mojo turns him back, but then he sees Simon do Hamlet and releases him from his contract. Neal forces them to give a bunch on incentives, and then Neal and Wonder Man are sent back. Neal promises to get Simon serious work.

Iron Man vol. 3 #25- Iron Man is trying to contact the Avengers for help against Ultimo, but the other Avengers are seen in Slorenia trying to clean up the extensive damage. Wonder Man is holding a large chunk of building.
