Marlo runs out of her store and down the street after the fight. She says that this is all her fault and that she should have listened to Rick. Marlo wonders how Lorraine is managing to keep up with her as she is just walking. Lorraine reminds Marlo that she is a ghost and tells her to think of it as a “dead run”. Marlo’s competitor watches from behind his shade. He thinks that it is a good thing for her that her stunt went awry because challenging him could be hazardous to her health. Marlo and Lorraine turn the corner to find Marv liplocked with Una-Rogg.

Rick is in the Microverse yelling at Marv and waving his hands frantically. Rick accidentally nails the grand cleric in the face with his hand waving. Rick apologizes and says that he has an emergency thing happening. The grand cleric’s guards call for mall security. Rick shouts that Una is draining Marv’s energy or maybe even his life.

Marlo takes a toaster and wallops Una in the back of the head with it. Marlo says that she isn’t afraid of creeps like her. Lorraine tries to get Marlo’s attention. Marlo says that she is married to Rick Jones and she had the Avengers at her wedding. Lorraine is still trying to get Marlo’s attention. Marlo clarifies that she isn’t saying that the Avengers are creeps. Lorraine yells at Marlo to focus as Zey-Rogg flies into her back. Lorraine says that Marlo is on her own. Zey-Rogg says that this was none of Marlo’s business, but if she desires to share in Captain Marvel’s fate then he will honor her desires. Marv says that he thinks that Marlo desires Zey-Rogg to leave and that he will take care of that. Marv blasts Zey.

Back in the Microverse, Rick is jumping for joy, but then realizes that Marv is only impressing Marlo and making her grateful to him. Two large security officers come up behind Rick and one of the guards points Rick out. Rick says that was totally an accident. The security officer says that there are no accidents and lifts Rick into the air with one hand. Rick tells Marv to bang his bands to help him out.

Marv says that Rick doesn’t want to be on Earth either. Zey tells Marv that they have many issues to settle that will only happen when Marv dies. Zey lets loose a blast at Marv. Marv says that at least when he doesn’t understand human thinking he can say it is because he isn’t human, but he is half-Kree and he can’t figure out why the sons of two dead men are slugging it out over questions of honor that can’t possibly matter the deceased. Zey’s biotec blast bounces off Marv’s photonic shield.

Marlo is recovering from Zey’s hand around her throat. Lorraine starts checking on Marlo and says that as long as Marlo is alive then she knows that she’ll be haunting her. Marlo spots Una coming at her in the reflection of the glass and ducks as Una destroys the glass. Una says that she is the daughter of Yon-Rogg. Marlo says that if you have seen Yon-Rogg who’ve seen them all. Marlo turns to Lorraine to celebrate her one liner under pressure, but takes a punch from Una for her trouble.

Marv is distracted and shouts out Marlo’s name. Zey takes the moment and punches Marv through the wall into Madame Trudeau’s Wax Museum.

Una stands over Marlo with a baseball bat. She says that she doesn’t want to do this, and that she believes in the importance of sisterhood, but that she does what she has to. Marlo says that is where she agrees with her. Marlo picks up a shard of glass from the broken window and hacks at Una’s leg. Una starts freaking out and says that she can’t lose any of her blood. Lorraine says that Una must be a basketcase at that time of the month. Una says that father always warned her. He said that the bloodhounds would smell and would know. Una says that her father faked the records for her. Una turns to Marlo and says that she is a woman, and asks her if she would stand by and watch another woman ruthlessly crippled. Una says that she knows they got off on the wrong foot. Marlo says that Una tried to hit her with a baseball bat. Una starts to say that Marlo hit her with a silver box, but then she trails off and says that they are coming.

In the Microverse, Rick receives a most unfair trial and the high cleric’s father sentences Rick to death. Rick is dragged out of the courtroom screaming.

Zey walks through the wax museum calling out “Captain Marvel”. When Marv doesn’t respond Zey wonders aloud if Genis is a coward like his father. Marv says that he warned Zey about talking about his father that way. Zey turns around and cleaves a wax dummy of Genis in half. He looks around to realize that there are a number of wax heroes around. Zey says that he should have known the half-breed would have no sense of honorable fighting. Zey says that he will just go annihilate some humans to draw Genis out. He says that a love for humans has always been a Vell fatal flaw. Genis is inside the Captain America suit. He blasts Zey in the back and says that the love of their own voice has always tripped up the Roggs.

Una is still pleading with Marlo to help her. Marlo asks Una what about that big guy that she was with. Una says that her brother won’t be enough against the bloodhounds. Una says that Zey would need Marv’s help. Una explains that the things that Marlo saw her doing, like bending men’s desires most Kree women can do, but that at a young age they are identified and psychically mutilated. Una says that the males fear them. Marlo says that she saw her sucking the life out of them and says that she doesn’t blame them. Una says that only one in a hundred thousand are able to do that. She says that the males take their ability to give and provide pleasure to make them feel in control. She says that her father tried to spare her and faked the documents. Una says that the bloodhounds are everywhere that Kree women are checking to make sure there are no untreated women. She says that her spilled blood will alert them for sure. Lorraine asks if they are supposed to feel sorry “for this yutz”. Una is on her hands and knees begging Marlo for help. She says that the treatment will be much worse for someone her age. Una says that Marlo has no idea what it is like to be trapped in a shell of her former self. Marlo says that actually she does.

Rick is being dragged along. He says that he does not want a last request he just wants a fair trial. He says that the whole thing was just a misunderstanding and that he already apologized and would do so again. He says that he would sing it if they like. They say that his death will be sufficient. Rick asks if there is anyone in the Microverse that isn’t crazy.

Elsewhere in the Microverse, Drax is in some desert location. Drax is begging not to be hurt. A shadowed figure says that he will not hurt Drax, and that with his help no one will ever hurt Drax again.

Una starts freaking as the bloodhounds arrive. Genis and Zey are still fighting. Marlo calls up to them and says that Una is terrified that the bloodhounds and could use their help, especially that of her brother. Zey hits Marv and asks Una if the bloodhounds are coming for her. Zey says that he always felt that their father was wrong to spare her, but that out of respect he did nothing. He says that if the bloodhounds are coming for her that truth be known he never liked her very much anyway. The bloodhounds arrive and Zey-Rogg keeps attacking Marv.

Rick is about to be shot by a firing squad, but just as they are about to fire Marv bangs his bands and he and Zey are transported to the Microverse. Marv quickly flies off while the disoriented Zey is blasted by the firing squad. The guy overseeing the execution calls for a medic for Zey.

Marlo calls out to Rick for help. Rick looks up to see Marlo hanging off the metallic tail of the bloodhound. The controller of the bloodhound turns to Marlo and tries to blast her off. Rick grabs Marlo and pulls her to safety. Rick says that Marlo can’t help her. Marlo says that Captain Marvel can. Rick says that he isn’t putting Marv’s neck on the line to save an energy-draining loon. Marlo says that they aren’t just doing it to her though. She says that they are doing it to thousands of people. Rick says that it isn’t their problem. Marlo asks when it becomes okay to care about other people. Rick says that he doesn’t know.

Legacy rating: 5 out of 10

Again the writing is above par, and the art is very sub par. Action keeps the read quick. Interesting moral dilemma about helping Una-Rogg, and of course the comedy flows. Chrisscross’ lack of action ability really “shines” through in this action issue. I wonder if Chrisscross has ever even seen an issue drawn by Sal Buscema. And it literally took me eight or nine times before I figured out the ending where Genis and Rick trade places in front of the firing squad. Enough with the big bursts of light already.
