Webspinners: Tales of Spider-Man #18- Boomerang has Spider-Man chained to a statue. He is about to kill Spider-Man as the crowd sees Spider-Man in opposition to their rebellion. Silver Sable and Sandman show up to save Spider-Man, and the crowd runs for it. Boomerang tries to get the crowd to stay and fight, but Spidey breaks the chains while he isn't looking. Spider-Man knocks Boomerang out. Boomerang being sent to the hospital serves as a warning to the other members of the Sinister Syndicate and Dr. Octopus to leave with the stolen treasury.

Spider-Man: Lifelines #1- Louis Wilson has discovered six additional fragments of the ancient tablets that were thought to grant immense power. The old tablets were used before but were faulty. The new fragments significantly alter the formula that would grant the immense power. Caesar Cicerio, a low-level Maggia boss, hires Eel and Man Mountain Marko to steal the fragments from the exhibit. They actually manage to do so and get away from Spider-Man, but when they report back to Caesar Boomerang is there and smashes through the ceiling. Boomerang says that it is a shame Caesar paid so much for feeble help when he could have hired Boomerang to do the job right like his boss did. Boomerang uses a boomerang and grabs the fragments. Caesar offers to double what Boomerang’s employer is paying, and then says that he would even triple it. Boomerang says that he was thinking about going for double, but then the Eel jumps out at Boomerang. Boomerang sticks Eel to the wall with a gluemerang. Boomerang flies off and back to his boss Hammerhead. Hammerhead freaks out when he realizes that he paid all that money for little fragments of stone. Hammerhead asks Curt Conners, who is sometimes the Lizard, if this was all he was expecting. Curt says that the more he has of the tablets the easier it will be to create the formula.
Spider-Man: Lifelines #2- Hammerhead says that he wishes he could have seen Cicero’s face when he stole the fragments, and when he does so he calls him “Dundee”. Boomerang says that his name is Fred, and that not all Aussies are Crocodile Dundee. Hammerhead says to humor him so Boomerang says, “That’s not a knife, now this is a knife.” Boomerang asks Curt Conners if they are going to have the same problem as the last time now that the formula has been altered by the information on the fragments. Curt says that he doesn’t know yet. Hammerhead says that Conners has 24 hours or Boomerang gets to go “crocodile hunting”. Boomerang stands watch over Conners as he works. Later Boomerang says that time is almost up. Conners says that he is well aware of Hammerhead’s ludicrous deadline, and that if Boomerang would stop annoying him he might be done. Boomerang says that maybe he wants Conners to fail. He says that he knows Conners wants to use this formula to rid himself of the Lizard. Boomerang says that if Conners betrays Hammerhead then he is out some big money, and that he won’t be able to hunt the crocodile inside him. Hammerhead enters and Conners says that the formula is finished to the best of his ability. Conners tries to quickly drink it, but Boomerang knocks the formula from his hand with a boomerang. Suddenly Spider-Man bursts in. While Spider-Man is fighting Boomerang Conners tries to warn him that with his notes Hammerhead could get any chemist to make the formula for him. Hammerhead grabs the notes and runs. Spidey webs Boomerang’s feet and pulls his feet out causing him to fall onto his back. Conners drank a small portion of the formula that not only turned him into the Lizard, but also boosted the Lizard’s power.
Spider-Man: Lifelines #3- Boomerang gets his bearings and realizes that he has to buy Hammerhead some time to get away with the formula. He says that it is time to get himself a new pair of alligator boots. Lizard grabs Boomerang up in his tail. Spider-Man webs Lizard’s eyes. Lizard throws Boomerang at Spider-Man. Spidey opts not to break Boomerang’s flight and to go after Lizard. Boomerang is knocked out. Later Boomerang makes it back to his hideout. He thinks about how his boot jets almost went out and that he should have the Tinkerer look at them for him. Boomerang calls Hammerhead and tells him about how Conners became the Lizard. Hammerhead asks what happens if he can’t recreate the formula from Conner’s notes. Boomerang says that they wait for Lizard to turn into Conners, and then track him down wit the Boomerang tracer he put on Lizard. Hammerhead yells at Boomerang and tells him to find Lizard now. Boomerang thinks how he would rather sleep and take Motrin, but he throws his trace-rang into the air. When the boomerang returns it tells Boomerang that Lizard is headed towards Hammerhead. Hammerhead tells him to get there with plenty of ammo. The Lizard arrives at the hospital where Hammerhead is with his sick sister. Boomerang snatches Lizard up in an electrified net. Lizard plays along figuring Boomerang will take him to Hammerhead. Hammerhead yells at Boomerang for bringing him the Lizard and not Conners. Lizard rips out of the net. Lizard creates another formula, but as he is about to drink it Boomerang snatches it out of his hand with another boomerang. Hammerhead drinks the formula giving him vast power. Boomerang takes that as his cue to leave. As a side note Hammerhead returns to normal and his sister is cured.

Sensational She-Hulk #59- Boomerang stands outside a courthouse as he waits to be a character witness for the Trapster against the Tinkerer. They are suing because Tinkerer’s improvements are never indestructible or unstoppable as they are advertised. A fight breaks out when Taskmaster says that it isn’t the equipment, but the users. The fight spills into the She-Hulk’s court room, and she comes over to beat everyone up. Boomerang and Ringer get into an argument over who is more effective. She-Hulk knocks them both out together.
