Blood Brothers

Immensly powerful and very ruthless
the Blood Brothers first gained
recognition as thralls for the mighty
Thanos. While still very powerful the
Blood Brothers exist mostly in a grunt
manner and have no real motivation of
their own. The brothers form a very
symbiotic union. The closer these two
brothers get to each other the more
powerful they are, and conversely the
further apart they get the weaker. This is unfortunate because while not the brightest
bulbs in the box they are usually tricked
into defeat.

Iron Man #55-Working for their master Thanos the Blood Brothers knock out Iron Man, the only person who had warning of Thanos' intention to rule Earth. They tell Thanos that they are bringing Iron Man back to the base. Once back at the base Iron Man manages to get away from the brothers. Thanos returns him to them, but they lose him again when Mentor sends a powerful beam that channels through Iron Man to free Drax, who was prisoner. Together Drax and Iron Man defeat the Blood Brothers.

Marvel Feature #12- When the Blood Brothers see Iron Man snooping around the place where Iron Man first met Thanos they contact Thanos to get permission to kill him. Permission is granted. They jump Iron Man from above. Iron Man can hold his own against one, but as soon as he blasts one the other hits him from behind. The Thing, whom Iron Man passed to get to Thanos' base, shows up just as Iron Man is trying to leave to get help. They collide and knock each other out. Thing starts to rise, but one of the brothers floors him. One of the brothers tries to bite Thing's neck, since they are vampires, but Thing's skin is too thick. Thing, like Iron Man, manages well against one, but as he keeps getting hit from behind. Iron Man awakes and the fight becomes one on one. The fight is so destructive that the mountain the base is in collapses. Iron Man swings Thing into one brother, and they double punch the other unconscious. Thanos disgusted with their loss zaps them with the Cosmic Cube making them disappear.

Iron Man #88-89- The Blood Brothers crash a farm. They drink all the pigs blood and take the farmer's truck tot he Jersey turnpike. They break out of the truck. They start throwing cars around. Iron Man shows up to stop the rampage. Iron Man manages for a bit but eventually the brothers get the upper hand. They hit him with a slab of concrete. One of the brothers jumps up and down on Iron Man as he lay beneath the concrete. They pound Iron Man through the floor to the water below. With his helmet damaged taking on water and his repulsors damaged unable to move the concrete off Iron Man is in trouble. He manages to use his boot jets to escape. But the jets cut out and Iron Man is in trouble again barely staying above water. The Blood Brothers can feel their employer the Controller urging them to waste no more time. Daredevil bails out Iron Man. Daredevil runs into the Blood Brothers just as they are about to close in on him Iron Man shows up. Iron Man and Daredevil pair off. They discover that the further the two brothers get from each other the less strength they have. Iron Man knocks one out and goes to the one Daredevil is fighting and knocks him out too.

Avengers #252- The Avengers are contacted when the army manages to find some machinery from Thanos' old base. Their scientists were messing around with it not really knowing what they're doing. Starfox tries to stop them, but it's too late. They teleport the Blood Brothers to the base. Immediately they down Starfox and Hercules. Cap and Scarlet Witch try to hold them, but the Blood Brothers keep coming. They nearly win, but Hercules and Starfox recover. Hercules throws the one brother into the one Starfox is holding.

Avengers #253- As the Avengers clear out the equipment from Thanos’ base the Blood Brothers are chained to platforms on opposite sides of the base to hopefully decrease their strength enough to hold them. Starfox finds a machine that will render the Blood Brothers harmless. Hercules breaks one of them off the platform and carries him to the machine.

Quasar #12- Quasar talked the Vault into releasing the Blood Brothers to him. He takes them to Mars for a fight. The Brothers pound unmercifully on Quasar until Wonder Man contacts him to inform him that Makkar is on the move. Quasar shields himself with his Quantum bands, and then he pushes them back with giant hands and flies away leaving them on Mars.

Maximum Security #1- During a fight between USAgent and Piledriver a bunch of patrons in a seedy bar are knocked out. The image inducer fails on one of them, and USAgent recognizes him as one of the Blood Brothers. USAgent realizes that the other brother must not be close by or the one would have never have gone down so easily.

(yet another example of the bloated X-characters being way too powerful. Very poor work.)

X-Men #107- In Salem Center, the Blood Brothers corner a young Skrull, disguised as a human, at the train station. Rogue overhears their attack and she comes to the rescue. Rogue hits the brother that is about to crush the girl with a giant rock. She then kicks the other. The other Blood Brother picks up a telephone pole and wallops Rogue to the ground. Rogue thinks to herself that even the Neo didn’t hit as hard as the Blood Brothers do. One brother remarks to the other that their target wishes to fight. The other brother says that he didn’t rescue him from terran prison to indulge in pleasure. He says that they do not play with their prey. They scorch the Skrull. Rogue attacks them from behind and manages to do what neither Iron Man, Thing, nor Quasar could do- she knocks out the Blood Brothers as they stand right next to each other!!!! Rogue recognizes the young Skrull as Z’Cann from Professor X’s Cadre K.

Maximum Security #2- behind the scenes- USAgent gets the idea to recruit all the aliens sentenced to Earth to help him fight their alien jailers.

Maximum Security #3- The heroes of Earth and the alien prisoners override the Ruul/Kree barrier from Earth and transport themselves aboard the Ruul/Kree ship. The Blood Brothers stand amongst the others. The “good guy” win and the Earth is freed from both all the alien scum and Ego’s takeover.
