Gremlin

The Gremlin is the son of the Hulk's first adversary, the Gargoyle. Gremlin is a boy genius altered by his father's genetic make up. Gremlin blamed the Hulk for his father's death not being privy to the real events in Incredible Hulk #1 Gremlin had set out to get revenge upon the Hulk. Gremlin may have been young but he learned very quickly, as he did all other things, not to trust his government. Gremlin invented the second version of the Titanium Man armor.

Rom: Spaceknight #44- flashback- Gremlin is born at a secret soviet hospital with scientists as doctors. They wanted to study him, but by the time he was 12 he was studying them. At 15 Gremlin had taken command.

Hulk holds his own until they release the gas. Hulk passes out. Gremlin captures Ross and his men. While held in place Hulk meets Gremlin, the son of the Gargoyle (from Hulk #1). Gremlin then runs tests on Hulk (a la Leader in tales to Astonish), and even partially gassed Hulk surpasses Gremlin's expectations. Gremlin overgasses Hulk and he transforms into Banner. In prison Banner sees Ross in jail. Ross writes him a note to Hulk out. At the next test Bruce punches the guard and hulks out. This time when the Super-Troopers use the gas Hulk covers his face and barrels through the wall. Hulk sees Ross in jail, but leaves him there cause he hates them.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #186- behind the scenes- The Gremlin sends power to the Devastator, on Gamma Base, via satellite. Devastator was sent to protect his master's secret. Hulk kills Devastator when he crushes his gauntlets. Without a way to release the power Devastator's suit explodes. Talbot's autopsy reveals that he was not the real Glenn Talbot.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #187- The Gremlin dispatches two interceptor drones to shoot down the jet that is carrying Ross, Clay Quartermain, and others who are coming to Bitterfrost for Glenn Talbot. Gremlin only succeeds in causing them to jettison their extra weapons, where Banner was hiding. Banner hulks out and lands as the Hulk. Clay and the others break into the base while Hulk just figures he will go there to find out where he is. Gremlin sees the Hulk outside and sounds the alert. The Hulk serves as a distraction for Ross to free Talbot from his cage. Talbot is really out of it. Hulk destroys the entire weapon firing on him. Gremlin goes for his primary line of defense. He deploys his Super-Troopers, armored soldiers. The soldiers do well enough until Hulk reaches them. Super-Trooper Four uses an electro-stasis rifle to stun the Hulk. Hulk collapses. As Ross and the others keep trying to escape with Glenn, Glenn finally springs to action and, as Gregori Kronski, arrests them all in the name of his beloved master- The Gremlin.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #188- The Gremlin walks in the Hulk, who is held in an electro-stasis beam. Gremlin shows Ross that he has been completing his father's lifework his whole life, the Psi-Clone. The Psi-Clone allows duplication and control of the most powerful human mind. It was his machine that allowed Gremlin to manipulate Talbot. Gremlin says he'll use Ross in a similar manner. General Ross says he'll die before he helps Gremlin. As Gremlin sends them into incarceration he delivers his best line, "Perhaps, Comrade General…but we shall determine that later!" Gremlin locks the Hulk into place. Gremlin says he learned his lesson last time, and that instead of physically restraining the Hulk he will brainwash him. Hulk resists the Psi-Clone as his mind is to simplistic. Gremlin decides to try to control Ross, but Quartermain mocks Gremlin into trying on the Hulk again. Quartermain tells Ross that S.H.I.E.L.D. is going to use Gremlin's satellite to destroy the base whether they are still there or not. Quartermain frees himself with a bomb under one of his fingernails, adapted from technology designed by the Gargoyle. Ross and Quartermain get the drop on Gremlin and Gregor in Talbot's body. Quartermain knocks out Gregor, and Ross frees Hulk to come with them. Gremlin's men show creating a stalemate. Gremlin releases Droog. Droog is a rhyming dinosaur type. Hulk fights Droog. Gremlin escapes, but fearing the info Gregor might give them Gremlin eliminates his mind from Talbot's body. Hulk tells the others to go and he will remain behind. S.HI.E.L.D. destroys Bitterfrost, and Ross wonders how he is going to tell Betty that the Hulk is "finally dead"…again.

Rom: Spaceknight #44- flashback- Escaped from the destroyed Bitterfrost Gremlin made his way through the snow to safety. Knowing they thought him dead Gremlin decided to watch his superiors reactions. They were pleased the grotesque Gremlin died before he learned the truth that his father died, not because of the Hulk, but by committing suicide in opposition to his communist oppressors. Gremlin confronted them. They tried to kill him, but Gremlin escaped to the Forbidden Zone. Most were scared by the warnings of genetic mutations, but as he was already mutated Gremlin was fine.

Rom: Spaceknight #44-46- Gremlin says that he can cure Rom, who is dying in a mortal body. Gremlin uses a machine designed by Sergei, Soviet genius, to cure Rom. Gremlin tells Rom's love Starshine, another spaceknight, that he is an enemy of the state. He says he will cure Rom if they aid him in getting his vengeance. Starshine is forced to deal with the Devastator and the Supertroopers while Gremlin works on Rom. She defeats all the Supertroopers, but gets in trouble with the Devastator. Gremlin tells Rom that Devastator gets his power via satellite. Gremlin transfer Rom from the dying clone body into his spaceknight armor. Gremlin tells Rom to destroy his enemies so that they never bother him again. Rom only renders their armor ineffective. Gremlin explains to Starshine that the body was a clone, and the clone's mind remains in the decaying body. Rom defeats Devastator and in the process destroys the satellite. --------

Titanium Man and Crimson Dynamo land at the same time in Moscow. They enter the building together as Titanium man doesn't trust Dynamo. Both were summoned by the KGB. They offer Gremlin a chair, but Gremlin says he doesn't feel like watching them steal his armor so he'll stay where he is. The KGB informs them that Iron Man is attacking those with armor with Stark technologies in them. Dynamo offers to help the KGB, but Gremlin leaves distrustful of them. Iron Man starts his search at Bitterfrost's remains to try and get a clue as to where Titanium Man might be. In truth Gremlin built a sanctuary for himself underneath Bitterfrost and he keeps laser cannons to protect himself from Iron Man and the KGB.
