Iceman creates an ice wall around the school. Cyclops digs a trench inside the wall. Beast lays wire for a booby trap and Jean covers it with leaves. Cyclops hollows out tree logs to use as grenade launchers. The students finish and Professor X tells them that the threat they face is his own brother. Cain makes it to the ice barrier and walks through it. Cain makes it to the force field and seems to be walking right through it. They can see his silhouette and notice that he doesn’t even seem to be struggling. Cain trips the wire that launches the grenades. The first grenades launch a sleeping gas at Cain, but he smacks them away. A second group of them launch and Cain reels backwards for a second. He gets back up and smashes the second group of grenade launchers. They quickly raise a steel barrier around the mansion. Juggernaut smashes it down and the X-Men rush forward to protect the Professor. Cyclops blasts Juggernaut with a full stream eye blast, but Juggernaut just pushes it aside. The X-Men all rush him, but Juggernaut just smacks them aside. Professor X has been trying to mentally assault Juggernaut, but he has no effect. Juggernaut stands before Professor X and says, “So, dear brother! We meet again! What a pity it is for the last time!”

Uncanny X-Men #13- Professor X tells the X-Men to stay back and that he will face Juggernaut alone. Juggernaut’s force field is so strong that it pushes Professor X’s wheelchair backwards. Juggernaut says that he can’t wait anymore to kill him. Professor X unloads with the full power of his mutant brain. Juggernaut staggers, but he tells them that his helmet protects him from all mental attacks. Jean Grey quickly lifts Juggernaut up with her telekinesis while Cyclops blasts a hole in the ground. Juggernaut is already breaking free of Jean’s power when she drops him into the hole. Iceman drops some ice into the hole. Professor X quickly assembles his mento-helmet that will amplify his brain. Juggernaut starts climbing up the hole by punching holes in the wall. Cyclops blasts downward hoping to keep Juggernaut down. Juggernaut digs a hole out of Cyclops’ path and bursts through the ground below him. Cyclops keeps blasting Juggernaut, but it only slows him. Juggernaut starts to bend down to grab Cyclops, but Cyclops catches him off balance and manages to push him back a few feet with his legs. Angel and Cyclops leap onto Juggernaut, but Juggernaut tells them that they are just wasting their time. The X-Men are trying to delay the Juggernaut because each second allows the mento-helmet to boost Professor X’s mental power. Juggernaut pulls Angel off his back and puts him in the way of Cyclops’ eye beam. Juggernaut tells them to get it coming. Juggernaut slips on a patch of ice. Iceman encases Juggernaut in a giant block of ice. Cain starts glowing and he bursts out of it. Beast shows up and starts leaping around him. Beast tries to pull Juggernaut’s helmet off. Juggernaut grabs Beast’s foot and slams him against the ground. Juggernaut tries to hit Beast, but Beast dodges. Beast leads Juggernaut into the Danger Room and activates it. Uncanny X-Men #32- Alone in the school, Professor X unlocks a door that he has kept secret even from his students. Inside he has the Juggernaut chained to a chair. Professor X says that Juggernaut has remained in the comatose state since their last fight. He had turned the Juggernaut over to the authorities, but when he remained in his coma Professor X got custody of him. Professor X thinks that he must restore Cain to a waking state or die in the attempt. Professor X situates himself on the energo-transformer, that he had been building over the last couple of months, with Cain. He used his scientific knowledge combined with arcane studies about Cyttorak. Professor X wants to drain the power of Cyttorak off his stepbrother and send it back into Cyttorak. Professor X gets the power level up to its maximum and tries to cure Cain. Suddenly Professor X feels that there is another presence inside the machine with them. The machine, already working at its maximum, can’t handle another presence and explodes. When the smoke clears Professor X lies unconscious on the floor and the Juggernaut is awake. Cain doesn’t remember anything from the last few months, but figures whatever struck Charles down just saved him the time of doing it himself. Juggernaut puts his helmet back on. Juggernaut glows with his force field, but also notices that somehow he is mentally probing the building. He figures that he must have absorbed Charles’ powers. Juggernaut says that the world is his, but that first he is going to kill the students that helped defeat him. The team returns from a night out and can’t find the Professor anywhere. Suddenly Cerebro starts sounding off, but the enemy that it is registering are the X-Men themselves. The X-Men go to the Professor’s private lair. Angel flies ahead and Juggernaut knocks him out with a bunch of boxes. Juggernaut says that soon the X-Men will join Professor X in death. The X-Men attack and Jean Grey tries to remove Juggernaut’s helmet telekinetically, but Juggernaut puts up his force field. It sends Beast careening into Iceman. Cyclops attacks Juggernaut and tells Jean to go get help. Cyclops thinks that at least Jean will be safe. Juggernaut answers Cyclops’s thoughts and says that she isn’t. Juggernaut strikes the ground and knocks out Cyclops and causes Jean to fall down. Juggernaut uses a mental bolt to knock her out. Juggernaut starts to bury them in the school, but the presence from earlier speaks to Juggernaut inside his mind. They introduce themselves as Factor Three and tell Juggernaut that they caused the explosion. They tell Juggernaut to steal the transatlantic jet and to come join them in Europe. Juggernaut decides to go since Professor X is dead and his students now bore him. Juggernaut smashes through the wall and thinks that if Factor Three is as powerful as they seem that they will triumph over the entire world.

Uncanny X-Men #33- Juggernaut thinks that maybe he should have just killed the X-Men while he had the chance, but decides that it doesn’t matter. Some two-man army teams were deployed to halt Juggernaut. They launch a bazooka at him, but the shell just explodes on his force field. The soldiers start to run. Juggernaut hits the ground and causes a cliff to come down between him and the soldiers. Back at the school the X-men learn that Professor X isn’t dead, but in a coma. Jean Grey mentally contacts them and tells them the story of the Ancient One fighting a demon named Xorak that Cyttorak set up to defend his temple. The X-Men set up Cerebro to search for the Ancient One, but instead find the astral form of Dr. Strange. Strange says that two of them must go to the Temple of Cyttorak and he gives them an incantation to repeat there. Cyclops takes Jean and tells the others to delay Juggernaut. Cyclops and Jean find the Temple of Cyttorak and the ruby inside. They repeat the incantation and are drawn within the ruby to find the spirit form of the sacred ruby, but what they find is Xorak, now named the Outcast. Juggernaut has reached his destination and plows through the electrified fence with his force field. Iceman, Angel, and Beast arrive to fight him. Juggernaut says that this time he will kill them. Iceman, Beast, and Angel tilt their helicopter at Juggernaut. Juggernaut walks through the spinning rotor blades. Juggernaut then rips up the helicopter and the X-Men run. Inside the ruby Cyclops and Jean defeat Outcast and have the spirit form of the ruby in hand as they return to the school. They fly to join the others against the Juggernaut. The others have lead Juggernaut into a wind tunnel. It picks up the Juggernaut and pulls him towards the giant blades. Juggernaut destroys the blades again, but seems slightly dazed. The X-Men start attacking Cain, but even without his force field they can’t really hurt him. Iceman tries to seal him up, but Juggernaut’s force field returns and breaks out of it. Juggernaut finally has them cornered, but suddenly Cyclops is behind Juggernaut. Juggernaut says that the ruby seems to be weakening him. Cyclops guesses that because the earthly gem gave him his power that the unearthly version would take them away. Juggernaut snatches the ruby from Cyclops’ hands, but he can’t let go of it and Juggernaut seems to fade away right before them. The ruby and Juggernaut disappear. Cyclops guesses that Juggernaut was pulled into the Crimson Cosmos.

Uncanny X-Men #46- The Juggernaut floats aimlessly in the Crimson Cosmos. Suddenly Juggernaut is pulled out of the Crimson Cosmos. Juggernaut says that he knew that his “stupid stepbrother” would pull him out, but that this time his attempt to rehabilitate him will lead to his death. What Juggernaut doesn’t know is that the X-Men buried Professor X that morning. Juggernaut says that he will also kill the X-Men that protect him, but first he smashes up the machine that returned him from the Crimson Cosmos to make sure that it can’t return him there. Juggernaut starts throwing things around until the X-Men arrive. They ask him how he arrived from the Crimson Cosmos. Juggernaut says that it is his stepbrother’s stupidity that brought him back. The machine was set to pull him back for some reason. The X-Men tell Juggernaut that they can’t kill Professor X because he is already dead. Juggernaut says that they are lying because fate couldn’t cheat him out of his ultimate goal. Juggernaut says that he will kill them all. Juggernaut punches Beast. Beast hits electrical equipment that sends a spark flying right into Angel. Juggernaut blows up an energizer by blocking its air intake. When the smoke clears Iceman is the only one left standing. He encases Juggernaut in ice, but Juggernaut breaks out and a huge chunk of flying ice knocks out Iceman. Juggernaut says that he is going to find where they are hiding Professor X. Juggernaut plows through the wall and finds Amos Duncan of the FBI there. He asks where Professor X is. Duncan also tells them that Professor X is dead. Juggernaut smashes Duncan’s head into the ceiling and throws him out the window. Juggernaut says that he can’t be dead. The X-Men wake up and Angel finds Juggernaut at Xavier’s grave. Juggernaut smacks some dirt into Angel’s eyes, but when he leaps at him to finish him Jean Grey uses her telekinesis to lift him off the ground. Beast throws a giant ice ball at Cain, but of course it has no effect. Juggernaut shoots out globules of sheer energy that seem to emanate from his force field. Cyclops blasts him, but the tree he is hiding behind is broken by the energy from the field. Marvel Girl tries a mental bolt. Juggernaut is in pain, but he is wearing his helmet and isn’t defeated. Juggernaut figures it must be Xavier. Cain grabs Angel and tells them to make him stop the psychic assault or he will kill him. Suddenly Juggernaut disappears back to the Crimson Cosmos. Cyclops figures that Xavier had it set up to automatically pull Juggernaut back unless treated otherwise.

Dr. Strange #182- flashback- While Nightmare is boasting about his win over Dr. Strange, Strange’s astral body ventured into the Crimson Cosmos and finds the Juggernaut. Strange tells Cain that if he wants to return to Earth that he should follow his astral form. Juggernaut says that he doesn’t know who he is, but figures that anything has to be better than being stuck in the Crimson Cosmos.

Dr. Strange #182- Nightmare has defeated Dr. Strange and has Eternity as his prisoner. Nightmare plans to use Eternity’s power to converge every Earth that ever was and ever will be to create a world of Nightmare. Juggernaut calls out to Nightmare. Nightmare asks Juggernaut what he wants. Juggernaut says that he wants to get back to Earth where his vast strength and power will do him some good. Juggernaut says that he wants to get there through the body of Dr. Strange. Juggernaut and Nightmare start to battle. Juggernaut shows a new trick that he learned in the Crimson Cosmos. Mystic spells emanate from his hands and cause Nightmare to shrink down to Juggernaut’s size and then to collide with him. Nightmare and Juggernaut start to battle back and forth. Juggernaut says that saving the world isn’t his usual job, but that he is up to it. Nightmare says that Juggernaut might have ruled some lesser cosmos, but that this is his realm and that here he is supreme. Suddenly Juggernaut and Nightmare notice that Dr. Strange has escaped. Juggernaut and Nightmare decide to team up to defeat Strange. They both blast at him, but Strange is only an illusion and both of them just shot, and freed, Eternity from his prison. Juggernaut says that they should team up against him, but Eternity simply says that he could have freed himself anytime he wanted to and then consigns them both to oblivion.

Amazing Adventures #16-Somehow the Juggernaut drops onto Earth from the cosmos that Eternity sent him to nearby where the Beast, in his human guise, just got a lift to a Halloween party. Juggernaut says that nothing can stop him from getting what he wants and now he wants revenge. Suddenly the vortex opens up again and starts to suck Juggernaut back in. Juggernaut grabs hold of a tree, but eventually he is pulled back in. Suddenly a voice inside Juggernaut’s head starts to explain to him. Apparently he got to Earth because Dr. Strange had been taken there recently by minions of the dread Dormammu and that the Beast is also nearby. Both their appearances coupled with the area and the fact that it is Halloween mingle and call out to Juggernaut to respond to his life-filling hatred. The voice tells him that he will again be drawn to Rutland for his revenge tonight. Later Juggernaut drops down right near a parade that Hank McCoy is trying to watch. He sees the Juggernaut and sees him coming straight at him, but Juggernaut is drawn back through the vortex again. Juggernaut says that he will get back for longer and longer as it gets closer to midnight. He shouts that he will be back as he fades. Beast goes looking for Juggernaut and as he does so Juggernaut drops out of the other dimension again. Beast throws some rocks at Juggernaut, but they have no effect. Juggernaut tries to hit Beast, but Beast dodges and tries to rip Juggernaut’s helmet off (let’s pretend that the writer had the slightest clue as to Juggernaut’s powers and assume that this was a side effect of it being Halloween) because he “knows” that Juggernaut is powerless without his helmet…right. (?!?) Juggernaut plows into a tree knocking it down. Beast starts to run from Juggernaut. He leaps over a generator that produces 20,000 volts of electricity. Juggernaut plows through it. Beast leaps into the water thinking that Juggernaut can’t swim with his armor, but his force field keeps him afloat. Juggernaut tags Beast, but Beast keeps running. Beast gets back into his human identity and tries to hide at the party he was invited to earlier. Juggernaut is following Beast’s emanations and plows through the wall. Beast runs upthe stairs. When Juggernaut gets there Beast rips off his human looking mask and shows a feral Beast face. Despite the fact that Juggernaut had already seen him this way he is suddenly terrified of him. Beast grabs Juggernaut’s helmet and takes his powers…sigh. Juggernaut starts to run and his hatred is replaced with fear. Beast grabs Juggernaut and starts to hit him. Cain turns from his normal self into a withered old man. He fades back to the other dimension. What a piece of garbage this issue was.

Peter Corbeau calls Armbruster and tells him that by authority of the White House he is coming to fix the mess that Armbruster made. Hulk develops an immunity to the gas they are sedating him with and begins to bang on the cage that will hold him indefinitely, but now upon reflection it might last two days. Corbeau blasts Hulk with a dimensional teleporter, but when Hulk disappears the Juggernaut takes his place. They quickly try to blast him back to the dimension, but an incredible feedback occurs and suddenly the cage is filled with both the Hulk and the Juggernaut. Hulk and Juggernaut smash down the wall together to get outside. They smash through the army. Juggernaut says that they could shake the earth together. Hulk says that he doesn’t want to shake the earth he just wants to be left alone. Hulk leaps away. A little later Hulk sees Juggernaut grabbing a man that accidentally crashed his car when he saw Juggernaut. Hulk tells Juggernaut to let him go. Juggernaut throws the man at Hulk and charges towards the man’s family. Hulk smashes Juggernaut from behind. Juggernaut smashes Hulk back and knocks him over a butte. Juggernaut crashes through the butte and drives Hulk back. Hulk knocks Juggernaut to the ground. He then uproots the ground beneath Juggernaut. Hulk can’t find Juggernaut until Juggernaut leaps down on him. Juggernaut stands over Hulk and says that it’s too bad Hulk attacked him because they could have been gods together, a perfect blend of science and sorcery. Hulk says that he has been knocked down before, but he always gets up. Hulk hits Cain, but Juggernaut kicks him back to the ground. Juggernaut says that Hulk’s blows are getting weaker while he remains strong. Hulk is lying on his stomach and Juggernaut is pulling his face backwards. Hulk sticks his hand backward into Juggernaut’s helmet. Hulk starts swinging Juggernaut around until the helmet comes loose. Juggernaut flies off and hits a mountain.
