Korvac

Michael Korvac was once a normal man. Well normal by physical appearances. Korvac considered himself a genius and because his supervisors didn't recognize his superiority when the Badoon invaded the Earth Korvac became a collaborator. It seems like his new bosses didn't appreciate his work anymore than his old bosses did. One day after collapsing from exhaustion Korvac awoke to find his legs were gone replaced by a computer that was fused to his central nervous system. Korvac took his transformation less than heroically and has since that day become a terror to the cosmos.

Thor annual #6- flashback- Eight years ago…Korvac was just a computer-techno. His bosses never realized his true genius though, and so when the Badoon invaded Korvac became a collaborator. The Badoon however were very harsh taskmasters, and when Korvac finally collapsed from exhaustion he awoke to find his central nervous system grafted onto a special systems module. Korvac then started going around defeating his former masters. Korvac would have destroyed his former masters, but then he was suddenly teleported through time to face Dr. Strange.Giant-Size Defenders #3- Grandmaster and Prime Mover are engaged in a game for the fate of the Earth. The Defenders are the Grandmaster’s pawns. Against the Hulk and Dr. Strange the Prime Mover employs Grott the Man-Slayer and Korvac. Dr. Strange watches while Hulk is fighting Grott. Korvac comes up behind Strange. He introduces himself as being from Earth, but from the year 2977 AD. Strange summons a mystical attack, but Korvac’s superior science finds the perfect defense against it. The immense energy that the two of them are releasing is devastating the world they are on. The planet is ravaged, but Strange and Korvac are only winded. Strange wonders how he launches so many attacks so quickly. Korvac explains that his brain is directly wired into his technology. Strange realizes that his magic cannot penetrate Korvac’s defenses. He surprises Korvac and leaps at Korvac to physically assault him. Korvac spins out of control and damages his circuitry against the rocks.

Thor annual #6- flashback- Korvac was playing possum and not actually hurt. Instead he takes the time to analyze a sliver of the Grandmaster’s power. Korvac is returned tot he 31st century with newfound abilities such as teleportation. He teleports to a lifeless planetoid and with his new knowledge he transforms the barren rock into a technological wonderland. Korvac then sends out probes through time and space to gather artifacts and his army for himself.

Thor annual #6- While Thor is fighting a group of terrorists with a nuclear reactor he is plucked out of time and accidentally brought into the future. Korvac says that his time probe was not supposed to pick up passengers. Korvac looks at his computer and it tells him that it is Thor now in his presence. Korvac says that this is nonsense, but that Thor must not be allowed to interfere with his carefully laid plans. Korvac pushes a button and fire-bolts shoot out at Thor. Thor throws his hammer at the weapons and destroys them. Korvac says that as impossible as it seems his computers have correctly identified him. Korvac pushes another button and Thor is transported into the void of deep space. Thor passes out. Soon after Korvac blasts the Guardians of the Galaxy with an intense power beam. Once the ship is righted Starhawk says that they are fortunate because if the beam had struck anywhere else they would have been disintegrated. The Guardians trace the shot and start to head towards its origin. Korvac says that he has accomplished too much to tolerate any interference. Korvac pushes another button and the Guardians’ ship is trapped within a giant wave of rocky debris. They manage to dodge the assault, but head several million miles off course. As they head back again Starhawk discovers Thor’s frozen body. They bring him aboard. Back at Korvac’s ship, Korvac asks Mister Teju, a lizard man, for his report. Teju says that the meteor storm worked, and that it drove the ship off disappeared from their screens. Korvac yells at him and says that he wants confirmation that the ship was destroyed. A minor fight between Korvac’s men Teju, Grott, Brahl, Tork, and Dumog. Korvac says that he will brook no dissension in the ranks, and that they will all calm themselves or face his wrath. Korvac says that soon the galaxy will be his to command and then he will have his revenge on all that tried to oppose him. At that moment Korvac has a power siphoning beam heading towards Sol, the sun of his former planet Earth. The bean will cause the Sun to go nova, and will then drain the energy. He says that with the Sun’s power drained into his equipment he will have all the power he will need for untold millennia. Korvac says that there is only two hours to go. The Guardians and Thor return. Korvac commands that the defense drones be activated. The Guardians and Thor teleport onto Korvac’s planetoid and send their ship away. They come face to face with Korvac’s men. Thor and Starhawk take after Korvac while the others fight his men. Korvac says that he is impressed to see Thor again, but that they cannot stop him now. They rush Korvac, but find themselves teleported back outside. They try again only to be teleported again. While Korvac laughs Starhawk spots the machine Korvac uses to teleport them and Thor smashes it. Korvac erects an impenetrable shield, but Starhawk’s power manages to shatter it. Korvac shoots an eye beam at Thor and Starhawk. Thor and Starhawk are forced to fight each other. Starhawk gets the idea that they must fight each other so hard that they destroy the lab. As the pieces start to fall Korvac teleports away.

Avengers #175- flashback- After fleeing from Thor and the Guardians by escaping through time. Korvac winds up right outside the abandoned home of Galactus. Korvac teleports inside and realizes that he can find the power for his revenge here. He plugs his tri-pronged electronic probe into the station’s computer output console. Korvac doesn’t realize until it is too late that he has been given the power of a god. Korvac undoes the damage and transformation that the Badoon did to his body. Korvac now possesses a body more fitting his new power. The thoughts of revenge are gone and Korvac turns his attention towards a “higher purpose”. Korvac shields his presence from other godlike beings and starts making alterations to the fabric of reality preparing for his eventually taking control. Korvac then returns to his native Earth.

Avengers #167- The Avengers meet up with the Guardians of the Galaxy near the SHIELD space station. Thor reveals that he just met up with the Guardians against Korvac. The Guardians say that after that they tried to catch Korvac again. They almost caught him, but he faded out seconds before they crashed in. Korvac was unable to cover his tracks completely, and the Guardians were able to discern that Korvac came to this time period. Vance Astro, leader of the Guardians, figures that Korvac came back in time to kill Astro as a young Vance Astrovik so that he can never grow up to oppose him. Vance says that whatever they do to oppose Korvac can’t involve him. Elsewhere Korvac is sitting next to Kyle Richmond, also known as Nighthawk, at a Janet van Dyne fashion show. He is wearing a tux, and doesn’t move until the name Carina Walters is mentioned as coming down the runway. Suddenly the Porcupine and his goons bust in. Korvac stands stone-faced as Yellowjacket, Wasp, and Nighthawk deal with Porcupine. Carina is attending to a fainted older woman until she looks up and sees Michael Korvac looking at her. Korvac doesn’t need to speak. She feels his desire and senses his offer. Carina takes Michael’s hand accepting his offer. Together they disappear.

Avengers #168- While the Avengers are having internal problems Starhawk walks off to find Korvac on his own. Starhawk’s alter ego is a woman named Aleta. She walks up to the house. She senses the aura around the house. She rings the doorbell. Carina answers the door. Aleta asks to see the master of the house. Carina says that he has been expecting her. Aleta says that the universe’s only hope is that he wasn’t expecting her so soon. Korvac interrupts and says that he is the universe’s hope. Korvac introduces his wife Carina. He introduces himself as Michael, and says that in this form Starhawk is called Aleta. Korvac tells Carina that Aleta is more than she seems. He tells her to leave them, but sends some power to protect and comfort her. Korvac says that only Aleta is aware of him, and that he cannot allow her knowledge to spread. Aleta says that one of them must die. Aleta transforms into Starhawk into another reality. Korvac follows as he transforms into his powered up form. Korvac says that they will be fighting on every plane of existence because he must destroy him utterly. Starhawk hits Korvac. The blow rips into his being. Somewhere in the depths of the cosmos within his mind a planet shatters. Billions of souls who inhabit the sub reality scream in terror as their dimension trembles. In our dimension Korvac’s pain causes a storm. Korvac says that Starhawk is stronger than he thought. Starhawk mentions how Korvac’s power is divided to protect Carina. Korvac says that Starhawk can already see the inevitable outcome, but still holds out hope. He says that his power, even divided, is supreme. Korvac says that Starhawk is “two who are one”, but that he can be as many as he likes. Korvac touches Starhawk and he reels in pain. In reality Korvac strikes Aleta. Starhawk tries to blast Korvac, but Korvac is not affected. With a whim Korvac surrounds Starhawk with eldritch fire. Korvac tells Starhawk that physically Aleta is subdued, that he has also invaded her mind and crushed her spirit within his subconscious. Korvac says that he also has Starhawk’s spirit now at his mercy in the astral void. As Korvac kills Starhawk Dr. Strange, Silver Surfer, and Captain Marvel both sense phenomenon at work, but cannot pinpoint the disturbance as if it were veiled from them. Korvac says that execution is not enough and that Starhawk must be obliterated. Korvac turns Starhawk’s ethereal spirit into basic substance. Korvac rips him apart with claws of naked energy. Korvac grabs the pieces of Starhawk and says that Starhawk is as dust is to him. Korvac drops Starhawk and he falls like a pile of sand. Korvac says that those who might oppose him sensed something, but not the source. Korvac reforms Starhawk exactly as he was, but without knowledge of the fight or Korvac, and Starhawk’s senses will no longer perceive Korvac. Korvac sends Starhawk back to the Avengers. Later Korvac sits inside his house in the dark…and plans.

Avengers #170- behind the scenes- The Guardians of the Galaxy stand watch over a young Vance Astrovik. They think Korvac is going to come and try to kill him

Avengers #172

Avengers #173- As he sits in his chair, Korvac watches as the Avengers try to deal with why all their members seem to be vanishing. Carina comes in to ask Michael if he would like any cocoa. Korvac thanks her, but he says that he will get it himself. Korvac materializes a cup of cocoa in his hand. Carina asks Michael if there is anything wrong. She says that he has been so quiet. Korvac says that it is exactly the opposite. He shows her the Guardians of the Galaxy guarding young Vance Astrovik. He shows her the thousand year old version isolated in space. He says that none of them suspect that they are acting on his will. He says that they are performing some of the many adjustments to the cosmos he must prepare before he asumes proprietorship. Korvac says that he must check upon those who aren’t so easily lead, to make sure that they do not suspect anything. Korvac says that Carina will have to leave him for a while. Carina asks if there isn’t something she could do to help. Korvac says he needs only total concentration so he doesn’t accidentally unleash forces which even he may not withstand. Carina walks into her bedroom. She starts to cry. Carina starts to use her own hidden power to contact someone, but decides that she cannot. She says that Michael may be mad to think he is a god…that he is the rightful owner of the universe…”but father help me…I’m starting to believe him.” Korvac uses his power to watch the Watcher who is watching him. He looks in on Odin, Zeus, and Mephisto. All are unaware that he exists yet. Korvac next checks on Eternity. Korvac says that Eternity is so confident and serene that he wouldn’t have paid any attention to him even if Korvac hadn’t shielded himself. Suddenly Korvac senses Carina’s moment of betrayal. He walks into the bedroom and grabs her wrists. Korvac scans her for any sign of betrayal.

Avengers #174- Korvac looks into Carina’s eyes. He says that he sensed betrayal in her, and yet now he can sense nothing but love. Carina confesses that she was sent here to betray Korvac. She explains that her father is a prophet and that he saw Korvac’s coming. He sent her to betray him, but she says that she truly loves him. Carina says she forged herself into Korvac’s ideal mate. Korvac sees her father’s influence now. He senses his location. Korvac asks why it is if her father is a prophet that he cannot see that the universe will only ever have peace under his proprietorship. He says that nothing can be allowed to interfere. Carina begs Korvac not to do this. Just as the Collector, Carina’s father, is about to reveal the identity of the one who threatens the universe Korvac strikes him down. Collector is disintegrated. Korvac stands on his porch with Carina. He says, “You are now an orphan Carina…my love.”

Avengers #175- The Avengers try to find out who Collector was about to reveal to them, but all information about Korvac is turned to dust just as the Collector was. Back in his house Korvac dries off after taking a swim in his pool. He was trying to relax, but fails. Korvac teleports to Carina to see how she feels. Carina says she isn’t sure, but she loves Michael and knows that if she had to let him kill her father again she would. Carina does not know why, but Korvac does, though he keeps silent. They kiss and then consummate their relationship for the first time. It is an open sharing of body and minds as Michael “softly slips between the folds of Carina’s soul.” He sees her from the time her father sent her to find him. Carina sees Korvac as the machine he used to be and witnesses his transformation into godhood. Later Iron Man gets the idea to ask Starhawk to use his senses to find their enemy, not realizing that Korvac removed Starhawk’s ability to perceive him. Korvac says that he hopes the Avengers don’t find him because he would hate to have to destroy them.

Avengers #176- Korvac waters his plants. He remarks to Carina that the Avengers are very persistent, and that they are finding little clues he carelessly left behind. Carina wonders if the Avengers might not force Korvac into another confrontation with Starhawk. Korvac says that Starhawk can no longer perceive him. Carina asks Korvac what will happen if the Avengers stumble upon him. Korvac says that they will fervently wish that they had not. Later Korvac answers the door to find the Avengers standing there. They ask if they can come in, and Michael agrees. As the Avengers enter nobody notices that Starhawk looks puzzled. The Avengers ask to look around for something that threatens the universe. When they find nothing Iron Man tells the Avengers with extra sensory powers to try. They all come up with nothing. Starhawk interrupts and says that he doesn’t know what their game is, but that they have all been talking to someone that isn’t there. The Avengers all realize that Starhawk cannot see the one called Michael, and that they only way that is possible is if Michael is the being of immense power. Korvac admits it, but says that he is sorry to see that they have learned the truth. Thor asks if this mortal is their enemy. Cap says he thinks that Michael passed mortal long ago. Korvac says that is true, and that even moreso than Thor he is a god. Korvac says that he was going to be their savior, but now he realizes that since they have discovered him that the other great cosmic entities that he had been shielding himself from will prevent him from ruling the universe. Korvac says that he can no longer save the future, but he can save himself. Korvac tells the Avengers that they will regret finding him. Korvac grows and turns purple with power. Korvac tells them to remember that they brought this on themselves.

Avengers #177- Korvac tells the Avengers that they have ruined everything. He says that right now Heimdall, the Watcher, and Eternity sense his presence and power. Korvac says he is sorry, but he has to kill them now. Moondragon mentally contacts the Guardians of the Galaxy. They arrive and knock down the door. Korvac says if only he could welcome his former nemesis. Korvac tells them that their arrival doesn’t really effect the balance of power much. The Guardians say that Vance Astro will be coming too. Korvac says that he is quite aware of Vance’s presence on the orbiting space station. He causes an image of the station to appear so that they can all witness the first casualty in the war that they have started. Korvac shoots blasts from his hands. In space the station explodes and Vance Astro dies screaming. THE FIREHEADED CHIC freaks out she rushes Korvac. Korvac’s attention seems to wander, but he still manages to swat her away killing her instantly. Quicksilver quickly strikes Korvac. Korvac says that he does this for his beloved Carina. He blasts Quicksilver, and kills him as well. Iron Man, Vision, Charlie-27, and Wonder Man all rush him. Nobody is able to hurt him. Korvac strikes down Captain America and kills Charlie-27. Thor and Hercules try to hurt him but cannot. Korvac says that Odin himself could not stand against him, and asks Thor what hope he has. Iron Man attacks Korvac, and tells Panther to grab Carina. Panther stalls because it is dishonorable so Yellowjacket does it. Carina stares at Korvac in fear. Korvac asks why she does not protect herself with her Power Cosmic. Korvac blasts all the Avengers away from him. Yellowjacket tells Korvac to freeze or he will hurt Carina. Korvac quickly kills Yellowjacket saying he is now annoyed. Korvac kills Hawkeye and Yondu. Ms. Marvel tries to swoop in on him, but Korvac kills her as well. Korvac kills Martinex. Korvac tells Captain Marvel that he senses that he doesn’t fear death. Korvac says that he is wise beyond his station as he kills him. Korvac says that none are more admirable than the Black Panther. He says that were it not for Carina that he would rather die than kill Panther, but as Carina is there Korvac kills Panther. As Korvac kills Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, and Wasp he speaks of how grand love between those with the Power Cosmic is. As Korvac is fighting Jocasta Captain America wakes up as his shield took the blast. After Korvac kills Jocasta he powers down as he believes all the Avengers to be dead or unconscious. Cap throws his shield and hits Korvac in the head. Cap starts laying into Korvac and gives his “one man” speech that he will find a way to defeat him. Korvac says that he might given time, but then kills Captain America with a punch. Wonder Man has recovered and attacks Korvac. He says that he heard how Korvac had commended Captain Marvel about not fearing death. Wonder Man says that he died once and it was no fun. He says that the thought of dying scares him, and that he figured that there must be some purpose for his resurrection. Simon says that this is it, and that with everything riding on him he won’t fail. Simon shouts that he is not afraid anymore, but as he leaps at Korvac, Korvac kills him with a blast. Korvac is attacked by Thor, Vision, Starhawk, and Iron Man. Korvac looks over to Carina for love and the will to go on. The horror of the bloodshed has stunned Carina. When she hesitates Korvac dies. Iron Man and Thor realize that it wasn’t within their power to do it, but that it was something else. It was as if he lost the reason to live. Carina freaks out and forces Thor to kill her. She collapses with her hand reaching out for Korvac’s. Moondragon says that she entered Korvac’s mind and that he was not evil or even sought to rule them. He just wanted to free them from Eternity. Moondragon reveals that the Avengers and Guardians still live as Korvac reached out before he died to cure them.

Fantastic Four annual 24- flashback- When Korvac collapsed in the Avengers it was really the result of Galactus using the Ultimate Nullifier to wipe Korvac out of existence. Korvac sensed that the power was coming for him so he looked to his beloved, but when he saw doubt in her eyes he killed himself before the Ultimate Nullifier could wipe him from existence. With his last moment Korvac emits an invisible burst containing his knowledge, personality, and cosmic power to one of his ancestors. The power will pass along from ancestor to ancestor until it becomes Korvac’s again.

Fantastic Four annual 24-The power manifests itself in one of Korvac’s ancestors. The Guardians of the Galaxy and the Fantastic Four try to defeat her before Korvac’s power and personality take over the girl entirely. Korvac defeats all the heroes except Reed Richards. Reed travels back in time and to the location of what was thought to be Korvac’s last stand. He sends Galactus’ Ultimate Nullifier beams into the “present”. Korvac sees the beams and sends the pulse of himself off again to the future this time.

Thor annual #??????

Silver Surfer annual #???????????????

Dr. Strange annual #???????????????

Avengers annual #16- The Silver Surfer is trying to destroy one of the Grandmaster’s five life bombs that will create a new big bang destroying all existing life while creating a new one. Silver Surfer finds the bomb, but is repelled by the force field of Michael Korvac. Korvac says he wields the power cosmic on a much larger scale than Surfer does. Korvac says that as long as Surfer has no chance of winning they might as well pass the time having a drink. When Surfer doesn’t come down Korvac figures Surfer doesn’t like champagne. He sends a cosmic bolt at Surfer. When Surfer says he cannot be harmed Korvac says that he likes to see confidence in his opponent. Korvac magnetizes the silver shell that surrounds Surfer. Every meteor around encases Surfer as the core of his own planet. Surfer breaks out and Korvac is hit with one of the meteors. Surfer flies around to destroy the bomb. Korvac flies up to meet Surfer on his board. Korvac melts Surfer’s silver skin. Even though he is now human Surfer still mentally commands his board into the life bomb destroying it.

Captain America vol. 3 #14- behind the scenes- Posing as Kang, Korvac comes to free the Red Skull from a netherworld of his own making that he was cast into when the Cosmic Cube broke. He gets there just in time to see the Red Skull freeing himself. He watches as Red Skull starts to crackle with power.

Captain America vol. 3 #15- behind the scenes- Skull now commands the power of the Cosmic Cube from within. He asks “Kang” what he wants there. Kang says that he offers an alliance. Skull says that the world is already his. Kang says that he hasn’t come for the world right now, but just to impart secrets to Skull. “Kang” tells Skull of something he must retrieve to remain supreme for centuries. Skull goes off to do it. Later Steve Rogers and Sharon Carter return to Steve’s home. There Korvac, posing as the Watcher, levitates in his apartment. Steve asks Watcher why he is there. The Watcher point over to reveal the Red Skull. Skull smacks them around. He leaves after taunting them with his world to come. Captain America asks Watcher what is going on. Watcher says that the next few hours are going to be critical to human history. Watcher shows Steve and Sharon of Skull’s world of the future. They see an apocalyptic world and discover that it is the world starting tomorrow. Cap asks how Skull could do this. The Watcher says that Skull isn’t responsible but that Captain America himself is.

Captain America vol. 3 #16- behind the scenes- “Watcher” takes Captain America onto Galactus’ ship. He says that Skull is going to gain immense knowledge and power here as Korvac once did. Watcher says that Captain America is going to have to kill the Red Skull to stop him. Cap says no way. Skull keeps showing Captain America how he is going to torture all of his precious America, but Cap refuses to kill the Skull.

Captain America vol. 3 #17- “Watcher” says that Skull’s power is still divided as he is summoning Galactus’ ship, but that once the ship gets here it is all over. Cap still refuses to kill, but then Galactus’ ship arrives. As Red Skull bathes in the power of Galactus’ ship Cap finally breaks down without any other options available. He forms his energy shield into the form of a dagger and stabs Skull through the back. The power starts to flow out of the Skull and it flows into the Watcher. Korvac says, “No. Not the Watcher” as he transforms into Kang. “Never the Watcher”, he continues. Finally Kang shifts into his true form- that of Korvac. Korvac says that as Kang he was the one who tipped Skull off to rob Galactus’ ship of power. Korvac says that the future he showed Cap was Skull’s true future, but he stopped that and now instead they have his future. He shows them a quick glimpse of the United States of Korvac where free will has been replaced by unswerving devotion. Korvac opens up a portal to the 30th century and thanks Captain America for his help as he leaves. Before the portal closes Captain America dives in.

Captain America vol. 3 #18- Earth in the year 3007, Korvac holds three Badoon spies within his power. He finds it amazing that the Badoon continue to annoy him with the immensity of his power, and the strength of his grudge. Korvac says that he would be grateful for making him part machine if he thought the memory of the agony he had to endure would ever fade. Korvac says that if he feared the Badoon at all, or even he if thought they were worth the effort he would simply erase all the Badoon from existence. The three Badoon vanish. The crowd looks on uneasily, but Korvac tells them to stop cringing and be grateful that it wasn’t them this time. Korvac walks among his people with Primax, his assistant. Primax thinks about Korvac’s benevolence and his notion that independent thought it a cancer. Suddenly a group of Captain America’s rebels attack Korvac and Primax. The true Captain America reveals himself. Korvac kills him beneath a hail of power. The people see Captain America as a martyr and start to chant for freedom. Korvac, once again, reboots time. Korvac asks Primax how many times he has rebooted time. Primax says that was seventy-two. Primax asks about who Captain America is. Korvac tells Primax that he followed him from the 20th century when humans still possessed something called responsibility. Korvac says that he is tired of this approach and wants to do something different. Korvac and Primax head to Captain America’s hideout where he is giving a speech about freedom and faith in themselves. Korvac blasts Captain America. Instead of killing Captain America this time however he simply kills all his followers. Captain America leaps at Korvac ready to kill. Korvac tells him to do it, and that it should be easy since he has done it before. Captain America pauses and Korvac takes him off. Korvac starts to reboot time. He tells Captain America that he is literally a God Machine, and that he wants to turn the Earth into a prefect mechanism. He says that each time something goes wrong he just restarts time. Korvac says that he could easily kill Captain America for his crimes, but he finds it much more fitting to make him see the error of his ways. Korvac decides to grant Captain America an ability…each time he restarts time he will allow him to retain his memory (a gift only Primax has as well) so that he can see the hopelessness of his cause. Korvac reboots time.

Captain America vol. 3 #18- It is the celebration of the day Korvac freed the Earth from the Badoon- July 4th. Captain America and his troops attack Korvac from a Trojan Horse gift. Captain America knocks Korvac out of the building and tries to appeal to Primax. Captain America tries to get Primax to remember the time when he was a human. Primax says that Korvac is a benevolent god. Korvac returns and says that Primax is a cog, and that a cog is a cog. Korvac reboots time.

Captain America vol. 3 #18- It has been fifty years with no sign of Captain America. Korvac’s influence spreads throughout the spiral arm of the galaxy. A group of new “cogs” comes before Korvac. They attack with Captain America. Korvac reboots time.

Captain America vol. 3 #18- Captain America tries to kill Korvac with a simple blaster. Korvac shields himself and smacks Captain America. Korvac reboots time.

Captain America vol. 3 #18- Captain America holds a sort of “Boston Tea Party” inciting other revolts. Korvac reboots time.

Captain America vol. 3 #18- A revolution breaks out in the form of sabotage. Korvac grabs Captain America. He says that his patience with him is at an end. Korvac is about to kill Captain America when Primax quite literally stabs him in the back. Korvac slams Primax against the wall and shouts “Traitor!” Captain America says that freedom cannot be eliminated from the human race. Captain America says that even Korvac is full of free will. He says that Korvac allowed too much of his humanity to remain when the power entered him. Cap says that no matter how many times he manipulates the future his mistake was in the past. Korvac decides that he is right and reboots time back to 1999.

Captain America vol. 3 #19- Captain America lunges at the Red Skull with a sword, but changes it into a staff at the last second. Skull smacks him away. The “Watcher” shields them from a blast, and Captain America tells him to drop the charade. Watcher turns into Korvac. For some reason Captain America remembered why they went back in time, and Korvac does not. Skull is about to kill them, but Korvac teleports himself, Cap, and Sharon aboard Galactus’ ship. Korvac says that he wants to flee, but Cap says that he isn’t abandoning Earth. Korvac says that he will kill Cap, but Cap calls his bluff because he knows that Korvac knows he is his only chance at escaping Skull’s retribution. Korvac agrees and leads Captain America to a certain beam on the ship. Skull teleports himself onto the ship and spreads Korvac thinly over six dimensions. Cap tricks the Skull into jumping into the beam because Skull thinks it is the information he wants, but it is really an anti-matter beam.
