The Nameless One
The Nameless One
was the demon in charge of the Undying Ones. From another
dimension they came and ruled over the Earth for quite some time.
Eventually their power faded and they were forced to go back into
their own dimension. Since that time they have tried to get back
to our dimension powered up and ready to rule again.
Sub-Mariner #22- flashback- From a hole in the sky a bunch of other dimensional demons called the Undying Ones fall to the ground. The Undying Ones were masters over nearly all they surveyed, including man. The only being that they were ruled by was the far crueler, fare more powerful being known only as the Nameless One. The Nameless Ones are present at every pagan ceremony, but eventually the Undying Ones power started to dim so they returned to their own dimension to gain strength.
Dr. Strange #183-
Sub-Mariner #22- As Namor thinks on the events that closed his gills causing him to be unable to breathe water Dr. Strange interrupts him with visions of the Nameless Ones past. He also tells Namor of an idol shaped like the Nameless One that is a gateway between the world of demons and men. Namor awakens able to breathe water. He feels he must find the idol and swims to Boston. Namor goes to the home of Kenneth Ward. Namor meets Joella Ward. There Strange directs Namor to the den. There an Undying One attacks Namor. Namor defeats it and finds a clue to the idol. Namor lifts the giant headstone of John Goodwin. Underneath is the idol. Suddenly Dr. Strange appears and grabs the idol from the ground. Strange reveals that Joella was the Undying One that attacked Namor. They go into the house. Strange looks at the painting of Joellas grandmother that the Undying One copied. He sees the cat there and asks if the girl had one as well. Namor says that she did. They rush to the idol, but the Undying One posing as the cat already has it. The idol opens a portal and the Nameless One comes through. Namor attacks it. Strange puts a spell around Namor that will keep water always in contact with him. Strange fights the Undying One. Namor knocks the Nameless One backwards into his dimension, but he hits so hard that he too falls in. Strange follows him in to help. Strange surrounds the idol with the Flames of the Faltine, which causes the Nameless One to withdraw. Namor suggests they leave and seal the entrance. Strange says that one of them must stay behind to ward off the Undying Ones. Namor says that he will do it, but Strange opens a portal with the idol and pushes Namor through.
Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #126- People had been looking for Hulk, and they carry Banner inside Cliff-House. Inside Van Nyborg instructs them to take Banner to the sacred chamber. Banner awakens and breathes the Vapors of Valtorr. They gain control of Bruce so that he might serve the Undying Ones. They transport Hulk to the Night-Crawler's dimension. Hulk is to defeat the Night-Crawler thereby allowing the Undying Ones to use Night-Crawler's dimension as a pathway back to reality. The Nameless Ones watch with a captive Dr. Strange. Banner arrives in Night-Crawler's dimension. Night-Crawler appears before him. When Banner refuses to change Van Nyborg decides to give Bruce motivation. Barbara, a follower, speaks out against it. Van Nyborg then uses Barbara as the incentive and sends her to Night-Crawler's dimension as well. Night-Crawler sees on Barbara the symbols of his enemies, the Undying Ones. When Night-Crawler goes to kill her it's more than Bruce can take and he hulks out. The two battle until Night-Crawler's headpiece emits a sonic beam. Hulk claps his hands together. The feedback from the clapping and the sonic beam causes Night-Crawler's dimension to destruct. Night-Crawler teleports them all into the Nameless Ones' dimension. Night-Crawler battles the Nameless One's minions. Barbara gets to close to Dr. Strange's prison and it sucks her in and expels Strange. Strange teleports himself and Hulk back to Earth.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #269- behind the scenes- Dark-Crawler reveals that since Hulk had destroyed his realm in Hulk 126 that he has fought and defeated the Nameless One. Dark-Crawler now rules their realm as his own.
