Orka
Orka was one of
Krang's most loyal soldiers. Unfortunately his intelligence was
never what one might consider his greatest asset. These were
exactly the qualities that Dr. Dorcas was looking for for his
next experiment. After being cast aside by the last benefactor of
his experiments, Tiger Shark, Dorcas was looking for a litle
loyalty. Ironically it was Orka who was betrayed as Krang and
Dorcas left him for dead in their mad attempt at escape.
Sub-Mariner #23-flashback- Orka, Krang's most loyal follower, suggests attacking Atlantis with a cruiser. Krang wants to team with Attuma, but he first encounters Dr. Dorcas. They form an alliance. Dorcas says he needs a "volunteer" of limited intelligence. Krang says that Orka will do whatever he is told. Dorcas says Tiger Shark was too strong willed. As Dorcas focus' the strength of a school of killer whales into Orka Orka screams for the master to make him stop. Orka stops freaking and realizes he can breathe out of water. They outfit Orka and give him a belt that forms his sole connection to the machine that sustains his power.
Sub-Mariner #23-
Namor sees two large groupings of killer whales. One
swims into a subsea mountain. Namor goes to investigate. Namor
finds Orka riding the head whale. Orka commands one of the whales
to attack Namor. Namor asks what Orka is, but Orka tells him not
to worry about since he is going to kill him anyway. Namor
defeats the whale and comes at Orka. Orka drives two fists into
Namor's face. He follows up with a kick to the mountain. The
mountain collapses and buries Namor. Orka leaves Namor for dead,
but Namor pushes the rubble off. Namor follows Orka into a
mountainside. Inside is a base and an Atlantean cruiser. Namor
enters and Orka is stunned to see Namor there. Namor hits Orka.
He grabs his leg and throws him up and out of the water. Namor
comes up to find Dr. Dorcas. Dorcas shows Namor that he has Lady
Dorma and some others held captive. Orka comes after Namor again,
but Krang tells him to stop. As Krang goads Namor Orka knocks him
down. Dorcas uses Orka's belt to supercharge him with strength.
Namor hits Orka, but Orka doesn't even feel it. Orka hits Namor.
He smashes Namor into the ground. Namor grabs Krang and orders
Dorma and the others released. Orka goes to do it, but Dorcas
refuses. Orka grabs Dorcas and throws him into the water with the
killer whales. Namor goes in to rescue Dorcas because only he can
free Dorma. Krang orders Orka to go in and save Dorcas or not to
return at all. Orka grabs Dorcas as Namor fights killer whales.
Namor emerges. Namor tries to strike quickly because he thinks
Orka might be stronger than him. Eventually Orka grabs Namor's
neck and hurls him into a machine that electrocutes Namor. Dorma
and the others escape their prison. Krang has Orka put
electrifying shackles on Namor.
Sub-Mariner #24- As Krang stands over a shackled Namor Orka reminds Krang of his key role in defeating Namor. Krang says that Orka will be rewarded. Namor reaches up and grabs Krang's arm. Orka tackles Namor, but Namor uses Orka's force to drive Orka into some machinery. Namor is striking Orka when Dr. Dorcas electrifies Namor's shackles. Krang sends Orka after te escaped Dorma and the other refugees. Only Dorma is to be left alive. Orka's whales trap Dorma inside a cave. All the guards are killed. Tiger Shark happens by and defeats Orka's whale. Tiger Shark cuts a deal to protect Lord Vashti and Dorma if she'll marry him. Orka and a herd of his whales attack Atlantis. Namor is strapped to the lead whale's front as a shield. Tiger Shark doesn't care about Namor, only protecting his new kingdom through marriage. Namor is freed as the chains break. Namor and Tiger Shark defeat all the whales. Tiger Shark attacks Namor while he is wrapped up in Krang's cape. Orka thinks Tiger Shark is attacking Krang and hits him off. Orka is stunned as Krang and Dorcas abandon him as they drive away in their ship. Tiger Shark attacks Orka for hitting him. The two battle until Orka pulls out the main support for the structure they are in. A great crevice opens and Orka and Tiger Shark fall in.
Sub-Mariner #66- A battle between She-Beast and Namor
opens the crevice that Orka had been stuck inside. Orka comes out
shouting Krang's name and his own name. Orka sees the She-Beast
and realizes that Krang failed and left Orka for dead. Orka, with
She-Beast, leads a herd of whales at Atlantis. She-Beast wants to
attack Namor, but Orka tells her to sit back and let the whales
do the work. After the whales strike Namor Orka comes in to say
he is back from the dead to send Namor to his death. Namor jumps
Orka, but She-Beast grabs Namor from behind. Tamara comes to
Namor's aid. Orka's whales destroy Atlantis as they fight. Namor
and Tamara hit Orka together, but Orka summons a whale to hit
Namor. She-Beast grabs Tamara. Orka orders his whales to converge
on Namor.
Sub-Mariner #67- As the killer whales charge Namor Orka says that he and the She-Beast claim victory and sovereignty over Atlantis. Orka says that they sentence him to die. Namor escapes by spinning his body like a human drill, and tunneling through coral. Namors momentum carries him away from the fight. Namor is hurt when he crashes into a ship. Triton takes him to Reed Richards for saving. Orka stands with She-Beast and says that their prince has abandoned them. They say that it is pointless to oppose them, but if they join them they will all share in the conquest as they take over the surface world as well. As Orka is giving his speech a red cloud descends upon Atlantis. Everyone starts choking as the red mist descends upon them. Everyone, that is, except Tamara. The red mist was released from Namors collision with the ship.
Avengers #149-
The Avengers are battling the forces of Roxxon. They are
going through them pretty easily so Hugh Jones says that he is
calling for their secret weapon. When they least expect it Orka
smashes down Captain America, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, Vision,
Hellcat, and Beast with one blow. As Jones and Baxter think of
ways to kill the Avengers the hammer of Thor smashes through the
wall. Thor is with Moondragon. Jones summons Orka again. Orka has
been changed by the power of the Serpent Crown. He is nearly
three times as tall as before, and the increased blubber causes
him to barely feel Thors hammer after Thor throws it at
him. Moondragon blasts Orka with a mental blast. Once Orka adapts
to the pain he hits Moondragon unconscious. Orka starts to laugh
at Moondragons claim that she is a Goddess of the
Mind. Thor unloads on Orka and sends him flying. Thor and
Orka start to really mix it up. Thor knocks Orka through the
ceiling onto the roof. Thor thinks that Orka might finally be
hurt, but Orka says that all humans, even those feigning
divinity, will fall to him. Thor causes the sky to storm. He
blasts Orka with lightning from Mjolnir. Thor says that he is the
God of Thunder. Orka says that he has seen the Avengers, and that
they are not gods. Orka rips up a hunk of building and throws it
at Thor. Thor knocks it back to Orka, and says that he is
superior to them. Thor realizes that he sounds as bad as
Moondragon bragging. Thor finally knocks out Orka as the Avengers
are freeing themselves from Roxxons restraints.

Vostok, who controls all machines, has an Atlantean cruiser bend around Orka. Vision then dives through Orka and knocks him out. Vision's arm simply was not long enough to reach Orka's heart. Later in the fight the nuclear submarine is damaged. It flees followed by Stingray. Stingray says the sub went to Newfoundland. Alpha Flight arrives.

but he escapes and hits Orka again. Namor drives a piece of
machinery into Orka's face, but Orka hits him away. Orka is about
to kill Namor when Dorcas stops him. He recalls that he used
Namor to transform Todd Arliss into Tiger Shark, and he figures
he can use him again to transform Diane Arliss Newell. Dorcas
tells Orka to kill Stingray, but he is already gone. Dorcas tells
Orka that before he can take over the surface world Orka will
take over Atlantis for him. Stingray returns. Orka pulps
