Perrikus

The Dark Gods are the evil opposite of the Asgardian gods. Where the Asgardians rule their subjects with compassion and freedoms, the Dark Gods hold their subject under the thumb of terror and cruelty. Perrikus is the god of power unlimited and energy infinite. The Asgardians and Dark Gods originally discovered each other when an Asgardian scout killed Perrikus' wife. War was destined. The Dark Gods had all but won the war when Thor spurred Odin on, and the Asgardians won. Perrikus had been imprisoned for hundreds of years by Odin, and it didn't do much for his attitude.

Thor vol. 2 #9- flashback- flashback- Lonkarr the scout is out discovering the universe to tell Odin about it when he happens upon Narcisson. Narcisson was like Asgard, but reeked of evil. Lonkarr goes down to investigate and finds a down trodden people that are ready to offer up their children for sacrifice to escape death. Suddenly Lonkarr is engaged in battle by Tserron. Tserron and Lonkarr battled for hours, but eventually Lonkarr stabs Tserron dead. Lonkarr runs to his pegasus saying he needs to go warn Odin. Suddenly Perrikus emerges. He says that if Odin is his king that he and all their kind will suffer as he has killed the bride of Perrikus. Perrikus allows Lonkarr to escape so that he can learn where Asgard is and engage in war

Thor vol. 2 #9- flashback- The Dark Gods battle the Asgardians. The war was without glory because of the immense casualties on both sides. It was both a battle of vengeance and philosophies since the Asgardians ruled with compassion, but the Dark Gods did not. After two weeks of fighting the Dark Gods are triumphant, and Asgard had fallen. Zelia and Perrikus offer Odin the chance to be Zelia’s consort, and they will spare his and his children’s lives. Odin refuses and Zelia tells Perrikus to kill him, but Thor throws Odin a broken spear and spurs him on. Odin triumphs and banishes the Dark Gods to a remote corner of the universe and imprisons Perrikus. Odin blocks the horror of the war from all the gods’ minds except his own.
