Thunderbolts #9- flashback- Radioactive Man watches the news coverage of the new Avengers. He says that without the power of Thor, Iron Man, and Giant Man that the Avengers are in desperate straits. He says that if you take Captain America out of the equation that you haven’t got a team at all. Radioactive Man calls in a phony Hulk sighting and Captain America takes off to find him alone. Radioactive Man has his servitor robots defeat Cap. He calls Avengers mansion. Radioactive Man introduces himself and says that Captain America is his prisoner. He tells them to contact the real Avengers and he will give them his demands tomorrow. Radioactive Man thanks Captain America for walking into his trap. He says that he will easily ensnare the accursed Avengers. Captain America says that the Avengers have defeated him before. Radioactive Man says that Cap is wrong. He says Thor, Iron Man, and Giant Man have defeated him, but that when he has his revenge on them that the Avengers will be no more. Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver trace the call that was supposed to be a tip on the Hulk and head towards that location. They find themselves surrounded by Radioactive Man’s servitor robots. Radioactive Man spots the fight and heads down. Unknown to him is that Captain America escapes and follows him down. Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and Hawkeye defeat Radioactive Man’s robots just as Radioactive Man arrives. He says that he will not have his plans foiled by two mutants and a common thief. Captain America says that he forgot about him. Radioactive Man devotes all of his attention to Captain America. Hawkeye uses a sonic arrow to confuse Radioactive Man. Quicksilver runs circles around him, and then Scarlet Witch blasts him with a hex. At first it appears to have taken no effect, but then Radioactive Man drops over. Radioactive Man is taken away in shackles.

Avengers #54- Jarvis leaves Avengers mansion with the secret information on the mansion’s security measures. He enters an abandoned building downtown and finds the interior much higher security than the outside would lead one to believe. The doors open and Jarvis comes face to face with the new Masters of Evil. Klaw, Radioactive Man, Whirlwind, Melter, Black Knight, and the Crimson Cowl. Radioactive Man says that he doesn’t like the Avengers’ butler coming out of nowhere. He says that it could be a trap. Jarvis says that Cowl just knew that he needed money. Jarvis says that he is only there to help them. Radioactive Man asks how he can help them. Radioactive Man says that he only joined this group because Crimson Cowl helped him escape and that Cowl promised him that Thor and Iron Man would be their first victims. Crimson Cowl tells him to calm down, and that he has devised an infallible plan. Jarvis hands over the security floor plans. Cowl gasses Jarvis for payment. He tells the Masters of Evil to meet at midnight for their attack. Black Knight goes to betray the Masters of Evil to the Avengers, but Cowl suspected as much and has Radioactive Man and the others attack him. The Masters are forced to attack right away because Black Knight'’ horse gets away and warns Hawkeye. Melter knocks out Hawkeye. Whirlwind knocks out Black Panther. Klaw knocks out Wasp. Radioactive Man confronts Giant-Man. Giant-Man’s assistant Bill leaps at Radioactive Man, but is held in place when Radioactive Man fires some Adhesive X on him. Giant-Man steps over the Adhesive X and slams a piece of machinery into Radioactive Man. Giant-Man puts on protective gloves to avoid the radiation, but his punch misses Radioactive Man. Radioactive Man tricks Giant-Man into following him. Giant-Man is snared by the mansion’s new defenses. Giant-Man is wondering why it didn’t grab Radioactive Man when Radioactive Man shoots him with the Adhesive X. The Masters contact Crimson Cowl on the view screen. Crimson Cowl reveals that he is “really” Jarvis.

Avengers #55- The Masters of Evil take off from Avengers mansion in a ship. The Avengers are unconscious and will be held in check by lasers if they awaken. Wasp is being held in a little container. She says that nobody has ever counted out the Avengers before and that they won’t either. Radioactive Man says that Wasp brings up a good point and asks why they shouldn’t just kill the Avengers now. Klaw says that the Cowl has plans for them, and that he doesn’t intend to cross him. Klaw says not to kick a winner. Klaw says that it is time to contact Cowl visually and that Radioactive Man can ask Cowl himself if he has the nerve. Cowl appears and says that he has already heard everything. The ship arrives at the base and sinks below ground as the ground separates to let them in. Cowl shows them all his new hydrogen bomb. He says that they will put the Avengers in the bomb and then hang it above the Empire State Building in order to blackmail the city. When the Avengers wake up inside Cowl reveals to them and to the Masters that he isn’t really Jarvis, but Ultron-5. Jarvis escapes and gets word to the Black Knight. Black Knight finds the ship and breaks in. He frees the Avengers and the fight is back on. Black Panther knocks Melter into Radioactive Man. Goliath grabs Radioactive Man up in some lead lining from the bomb.

Iron Man #74- Crimson Dynamo returns to Communist Zone in South Vietnam. Radioactive Man and Titanium Man give him a hard time for his failure. Dynamo says that if this is the reception he is going to get that he may just quit the Titantic Three. Radioactive Man reminds him that this is the only place they are free from the American super-heroes and their former masters. Radioactive Man starts to say that he won’t be leaving without a fight, but he is interrupted. Radioactive Man asks who dares to affront him, but he turns and sees Colonel Sin-Lu. Radioactive Man apologizes, but Sin-Lu tells him to shut up. He says that because of their failure that he is placing them all under house arrest.

Iron Man #179- flashback- As a crate is being loaded onto a ship to America. The cable snaps and a laborer bolts forward and catches it. The crate weighed over a ton.

Iron Man #179- Jim Rhodes calls in after helping out the Eternals. He calls Erwin and is told that the guy he helped in South America the previous week recommended him to a Mr.Winston Phlan in Hong Kong. Phlan is shooting a movie there, but when he sends them back to America they are ruined in transport though they are sure that they weren’t exposed to light. Three crooks are trying to steal from a crate when the Radioactive Man comes up behind them and holds them into the air. Radioactive Man throws one of them, but Iron Man catches him. Iron Man sees the glowing and thinks that he might have figured out the problem with Phlan’s film. Radioactive Man picks up a forklift and throws it at Iron Man. Again Iron Man catches the forklift. Radioactive Man hides and when Iron Man looks for him his head starts to throb uncontrollably. He takes his helmet off. Later Erwin tells Rhodes about the Radioactive Man. As the film is being unloaded Radioactive Man spots Iron Man who is guarding it. Radioactive Man reports to Mandarin. Mandarin tells Radioactive Man that Iron Man might be trying to intercept their shipment. He tells him to lure him away, and if possible try to kill him. Radioactive Man picks up a giant barrel. He throws it into Iron Man’s back. Iron Man falls between two giant ships. Radioactive Man tries to push the boats together and crush Iron Man, but Iron Man pushes the other boat and flies up. Radioactive Man hits Iron Man and Rhodes feels it through the armor. Iron Man hits Radioactive Man, but Radioactive Man doesn’t even flinch. Radioactive Man starts to smack Iron Man around, but Iron Man uses a repulsor and knocks Radioactive Man into the Mandarin’s shipment. The stuff falls over and Radioactive Man says that if the devices are damaged that “he” will be furious. Radioactive Man tries to pick the equipment up, but Iron Man rips the dock up and sends Radioactive Man and the equipment into the water. Radioactive Man is forced to report to the Mandarin that the equipment was destroyed. Mandarin says that his plans are now delayed for months. He says that he holds Radioactive Man responsible and that Radioactive Man should be frightened.

Thunderbolts annual '97- flashback

Iron Man vol. 3 #37- Tony Stark recognizes Tiberius Stone’s bodyguard from somewhere.

Iron Man vol. 3 #38- Tony Stark sees a news report that Tiberius Stone, an old friend of Tony’s, is being held hostage by the Radioactive Man. Tony realizes that Radioactive Man was Stone’s bodyguard. Iron Man wonders who Radioactive Man is working for. Radioactive Man has Stone’s throat in one hand as he smashes his way out of the building. Iron Man tries to get him to let go of Stone’s throat. Radioactive Man blasts Iron Man with radiation. Half of Iron Man’s helmet melts off. Stark realizes that Radioactive Man’s power has been seriously boosted. Iron Man blasts Radioactive Man and gets him to release Stone. Iron Man grabs Radioactive Man and drops him in Central Park. Iron Man’s glove is partly melted from holding him. Iron Man dodges a blast and decides that he has to try that stunt where he used all his armor’s energy and knocked out the Hulk. He tries it (though not all his power) and Radioactive Man laughs at him. Radioactive Man unleashed a giant burst of energy that blows Iron Man backwards.

Iron Man vol. 3 #39-

Iron Man vol. 3 #40- Tiberius Stone’s plan to kill and ruin Tony Stark has failed. On one of his news programs Stone says that it was his head of operations Milo Stevens that used Whiplash and Radioactive Man to attack Iron Man. He says Stark’s accusations that he was the mastermind behind it all, and that he killed his own parents is all a lie without any proof. After the interview Stone is wheeled outside where Dr. Chen Lu and Tony’s old girlfriend Rumiko are waiting for Stone.
