Fantastic Four annual #3- Reed Richards and Susan Storm are getting married and Dr. Doom sees this as his chance for revenge against the only man to ever defeat him. Doom uses a high frequency emotion charger to influence every evil presence. On his way to the wedding Thor spots the Superskrull in an unearthly craft. Superskrull blasts Thor because nobody must stop him from defeating the Fantastic Four. Thor is stunned by the shot, but recovers and throws his hammer through the ship destroying it. Superskrull starts to battle Thor. Reed Richards designs a machine that reverses the effects of Doom’s machine.

Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #375- flashback- Silver Surfer drops Superskrull thinking him dead, but actually Superskrull was simply in a deep healing coma. As Superskrull passes into an atmosphere Surfer thinks that his body is burning up, but it was simply the activation of his Human Torch powers. Because Superskrull was fully aflame he was picked up by a passing ship. The ship of Badoon had been following Superskrull and was hoping to dissect him. Superskrull recovered before they could.

Fantastic Four annual #24- Superskrull flies above other skrulls as they chant his real name “K’lrt!” Superskrull lands next to the Empress. They walk inside and Empress says that he seems subdued. She asks if he is not satisfied with their people’s adoration. K’lrt says that he does not deserve their tribute while his honor is compromised. Empress realizes Superskrull is upset that they allow Captain Reptyl to think that he really beat him. He says that it is an unendurable shame to let such worthless scum believe that he slew the greatest skrull warrior ever. Empress says that her plans require that everyone thinks that he is dead. She orders him to bear the dishonor of his secret. K’lrt says that he will obey, but then takes his leave of her. Later Superskrull begs guidance in the temple of the skrull war god Sl’gur’t. He says that he stands before him in disgrace. He says that his oath of fealty to the Empress and his code of honor are in conflict. Superskrull realizes that he must choose death before dishonor. Superskrull goes and attacks Captain Reptyl’s ship. He smashes up Captain Reptyl’s ship and drags him out into space. Captain Reptyl dies as Superskrull holds him out in space. Superskrull goes and bows before the Empress. He says that he has disobeyed her command and awaits her orders for execution. The Empress instead decides that he will be punished by being stripped of his rank and assigned to serve Commander K’targh on the Imperial Star Fleet until she deems him worthy of other duties. Superskrull flies off to her orders.
