Thanos of Titan

Thanos chronology continues...

Kazar '97-behind the scenes- Thanos' servant streaks across the Savage Land, as a comet, on its way to the window of Parnival Plunder. The comet stops outside Plunders' window and smiles. It has to chase Plunder, but eventually gets to show Plunder a vision of the Earth he would rule if he agrees to follow his master. The demon tears open its chest both opening a portal for Parnival to walk through and earning its reward of death. Parnival floats in space before a gigantic Thanos. Thanos has contacted Parnival to help him destroy the Earth. Thanos is sequestered in another realm and if one of his known minions were seen it would send up a red flag, and Thanos does not want any attention brought at this stage of his plan. Parnival returns and begins giving orders to follow Thanos' plan including finding security for the mystical doorway.

Kazar #2- behind the scenes- Thanos' minion Parnival Plunder hires a minion of his own, N'Gala, to make Kazar's life miserable. N'Gala takes Kazar's son.

Kazar #5- behind the scenes- Thanos' thrall Parnival Plunder boosts the Rhino's power in exchange for his servitude.

Kazar #6- behind the scenes- After Kazar stabilizes the Rhino returns to "complain" about the fluctuating powers Parnival gave him. Thanos pages Parnival into his dimension as Rhino rams Parnival's building. Parnival enters A-R-M-A-G-E-D-D-O-N, and enters Thanos' dimension. Thanos tells Parnival that his patience is exhausted and to hurry up. After Parnival leaves he finds that his men have found the terraformer in the Savage Land.

Kazar #7- behind the scenes- Plunder talks with Thanos inside the special doorway. Thanos is growing impatient. He asks if Plunder has procured the equipment they require. Plunder says his men are airlifting it out of the Savage Land as they speak. Plunder tricked Kazar and Shanna into coming and staying in New York to allow easy removal. Later Plunder's men contact him to let him know that they arrived in Central Park, and that they are ready to enact the plan. Thanos stands in the doorway behind Plunder and says to start now.

Kazar #8-behind the scenes- Plunder's men secure areas around New York. Parnival awaits word that they can begin. Thanos says that he was investigating a dimension and that being present in the dimension weakened him to the point that he could not escape the dimension. That is why Thanos had Parnival steal the machines that transform the piece of Antarctica into the Savage Land. Thanos can't recall why he thought of the Savage Land. Parnival receives word that they are set to begin. Kazar and Shanna arrive and Parnival lets them come up. Parnival gives Kazar the other half of the medallion the two have had to share for years. Shanna combines them. Parnival activates the machine and turns New York into another Savage Land.

Kazar #9- behind the scenes- Kazar and Shanna find the Terraformer. Shanna places the medallion inside the machine. The machine opens into a maze. Shanna and Zabu go in thinking they'll be able to turn it off. Kazar stays behind as the "plan B". Parnival goes in to tell Thanos the machine is working. Thanos says he will soon be powerful enough to leave and then Parnival will get a planet to rule. Kazar goes back to Parnival and gets it out of him that he is working for Thanos in exchange for the world. Shanna and Zabu make it to the center of the maze and rush through it only to find themselves face to face with Thanos. When she tells him how she got there Thanos laughs. Thanos realizes the dimension he is in is the power source for the Terraformer. Thanos is absorbing the power. He says that finally his ambitions do not require a tool or talisman, but takes Kazar and Parnival's amulet because he has always had a love for fetishes. He thanks Shanna for delivering the truth that will allow him to cause billions to scream for Thanos' mercy. Shanna gets to be first.

Kazar #10- behind the scenes- Kazar forces Parnival to show him how to get to Thanos. He finds Zabu trying to free Shanna by biting Thanos' hand. Kazar yells to drop her, which Thanos does, but only to swing at Kazar. When Kazar and Shanna start running for the exit Parnival smashes the controls from the outside. Before it can close Thanos pulls Parnival in. Thanos shows them how he now controls the Terraformer's power. He shows them Titan, the realm of the Shi'ar, and the domed refuge of the Inhumans choking with vegetation. Shanna runs out the door to the maze and Zabu leads her to the outside. Kazar grabs the medallion off Thanos and runs. Why Thanos cares or can't catch Kazar I have no idea. Shanna gets out and has S.H.E.I.L.D. tractor beam the Terraformer back to the Savage Land. Kazar runs past the Watcher who is trapped in vines and later past skrulls. Thanos hits Kazar (I have no idea why it doesn't kill Kazar). Thanos decides Parnival is getting annoying. Thanos gives him a world to rule. The world is an uninhabited computer world on the verge of shutdown. Kazar tries to help him, but the vegetation overruns Parnival. Back in the void Thanos grabs Kazar and tells him that it doesn't matter that the Terraformer is moving back to the Savage Land. Here we discover one of Kazar's secret powers: the ability to be stronger than anyone in the universe. He breaks Thanos' grip. Kazar then uses the medallion as a map to escape the maze, and again Kazar decides to run faster than the twenty-foot cosmically powered Thanos. The two run out of the maze and into the Savage Land.

Kazar #11- behind the scenes- Thanos fights the S.H.E.I.L.D. ships. Thanos wraps them up in vegetation. Kazar leaps on Thanos. Thanos bats him away, yet Kazar is still not even knocked out much less killed. Kazar holds the medallion and somehow fools Thanos into thinking it matters at all. Kazar runs. Thanos catches Kazar at a volcano. He grabs him by the ribs (not dead), and then puts him in a bearhug (still not dead). Kazar decides he loves his son and again employs his obviously immense superhuman strength to break Thanos' bearhug. Kazar punches Thanos twice and then kicks the usually at least as strong as the Hulk but now even more powerful Thanos into the volcano. Thanos emerges from the lava. Kazar points out that Thanos is returning to his normal self (which has defeated the entire Avengers roster by itself) . Kazar shatters the medallion. The lava hot Thanos hits Kazar…dead? No. Thanos runs back to the Terraformer. SHEILD blows it up. And that my friends is why these books can probably be found in your store's quarter bin.

X-Man & Hulk '98- Thanos calls out to Hulk from the Grand Canyon. Within a rock formation Thanos' energy dwells. Hulk leaps at Thanos, but he just bounces off. Thanos' visage becomes visible to Hulk. Thanos makes a proposal to Hulk. Thanos informs Hulk that he IS the Ebon void, and that though he is trapped within it there are ways around that. X-Man sees them and charges in. Thanos creates an energy feedback and Nate falls at Hulk's feet. Hulk battles X-Man as an audition for Thanos. Thanos offers Hulk vast power, but before Hulk can take it X-Man charges back. When Grey warns Hulk of Thanos' true motivation Thanos finds that Hulk knew all along, but figured he could handle it. Thanos grabs X-Man to use his body outside the stones. Thanos sears the skin from Hulk's body. Hulk destroys the stone arrangement, probably figuring it would force Thanos to go, instead it freed Thanos. Nate sends his psi-armor which amplifies Hulk's punches much more than it does Nate's. Nate reforms the stonehedge type rocks, and Hulk punches him back into his prison.

Deadpool #33- Thanos floats outside Death's realm with a bouquet of comets. Each of the comets killed at least ten billion deaths. Thanos begs that she accept it as a token of his affection and admiration. Death doesn't answer and Thanos speculates that maybe Death is washing her hair.
