Inside his cement walled chamber the Hulk pounds against the blockade of the door. Outside Rick prays that the cell is strong enough to hold the Hulk. Rick says that in a few hours he can let Bruce out. Rick recalls how hours ago Bruce told Rick to wall him up inside the cell and not to open it no matter what. Rick asks what if something happens to him or he gets sick and can’t let Bruce out. Bruce says that is a chance he has to take because it would be better for him to suffocate in there than to let the Hulk loose on the world. As the door closed Bruce transformed into the Hulk. Rick decides that the Hulk is safely imprisoned and decides to head to Banner’s lab for some sleep. Rick doesn’t get to far when he is surrounded by military police. They say that they have been looking for him and Ross says that he is the only one who can lead them to the Hulk.

At Headquarters, Ross is addressing the staff. He says that his men will find Rick Jones and that they’ll go get the Hulk. Ross says that Hulk won’t escape again. Rick is brought into the room. Ross tells him he wants top know where the Hulk is. Rick says that he won’t rat on the Hulk. Ross says that this is a matter of national security. Ross shows Rick the military’s newest missile. He says that they need to test it, but that only the Hulk could withstand the g-pull. Rick decides that since his country needs him that he will try to bring the Hulk to them.

Rick walks back to the cell. Rick notices that the pounding from the Hulk is getting louder as he starts to open the door. Rick doesn’t get to finish opening the door before the Hulk snaps the pillar holding the concrete in place. Hulk sees Rick and says that he is the one who put him in that cell. Rick starts to run towards the missile. Soldiers watch as the Hulk follows. Hulk smashes Jeeps as he walks. Ross sees that Rick is leading Hulk right to the missile. Hulk grabs hold of the gantry as it rises to the opening of the missile. Rick leaves his jacket on the entrance of the missile. Hulk grabs the jacket as he enters. Rick says that he hopes he did the right thing betraying the Hulk. Ross closes the missile and launches it. Ross says that the Hulk will never return to Earth.

Inside the rocket, sunlight shines through a window in the missile. Hulk is turned into Bruce Banner. Bruce barely gets to wonder where he is when the missile enters the radiation belt. Bruce is bathed in radiation again.

Back on Earth, Rick is still wondering if he did the right thing. Rick accidentally overhears Ross says that they managed to get rid of the Hulk forever. Rick finally realizes that he was tricked. Rick says that he can’t let them do it and starts fiddling with the controls. A shock of radiation from the missile runs through the controls when Rick touches them. Rick manages to get the capsule off the missile and it drops back to Earth on a parachute.

Rick runs out as the capsule hits the ground hard. Rick realizes that it is daytime and Bruce Banner could never withstand that impact. Suddenly the Hulk rips through the wall of the capsule. The Hulk is glowing as he starts to shout that it is all Rick’s fault. Hulk misses as he throws the capsule at Rick. Hulk follows Rick up as he climbs. Rick realizes that he is doomed because the Hulk will never get tired. Rick gets to a big drop. Hulk shouts, “Now… Revenge!!!!” Rick covers his face and shouts, “Stay back! Please stop! Rick realizes that Hulk did stop. Hulk is standing there motionless. Rick realizes that he can command the Hulk and has Hulk bend down so he can ride his shoulders back down the mountain. Rick walks Hulk to a house so he can get some sleep. Rick tells Hulk not to move. A few minutes later, Rick is woken from his sleep as the Hulk is gone. Rick realizes that his control must end when he is asleep. Rick finds Hulk swinging a telephone pole at the running people. Rick can’t get close enough for the Hulk to hear him as Hulk smashes the pole into a building. The townspeople are firing on Hulk, but they aren’t hurting him. Rick runs up to Hulk and says that they have to get out of there. Hulk grabs Rick and leaps into the air. Rick takes the Hulk back to the desert cave and locks the Hulk back in his chamber. Rick says that it was lucky that he was able to replace the steel ramrod that holds the concrete in place. Rick still can’t sleep however as he doesn’t trust the cell to hold Hulk. Rick sits on the floor outside the cell and thinks about the origin of the Hulk.
