Hack sits in his warehouse recording his conspiracy theories into a tape recorder. He looks back when a giant shadow shades him. Hack sees Mister Fixit looking down at him. Hulk says that he wants some information from him. Hack says that he already did a favor for Banner. Fixit says that he did a favor for Banner, not him. Hack says that he doesn’t care which Hulk it was, and that he is going to have to do something for him first.

Next scene Hack is driving Fixit’s car and laughing at him. He says that the best part was when Hulk realized that he wasn’t going to back down. Hack asks Fixit if he and Madonna really did the nasty. Fixit tells Hack to shut up. As they drive away two jabronis in black suits are standing there. They conclude that the Hulk and Hack must have received a subliminal message from the “Others”. They decide that they must stop them.

Hulk and Hack arrive in Ohio at a shack. Hack explains that there is an underground tunnel inside the shack, and that is why it is being guarded. Hack says to forget all that Area 51 nonsense, and that this is the real nerve center of alien activity. Hulk clarifies that Hack’s favor is that he wants him to break in there and bring back an alien hybrid that is being kept in a lead lined box inside the installation.

Hulk leaps over and takes care of the guard. Hulk is spotted on surveillance. Someone reports to Colonel St. Hubbins that there is an intruder. The two jabronis from before tell Hubbins to allow the intruder in and to continue monitoring the situation. Hubbins relays the jabroni’s orders.

Hulk walks into the shack and down the tunnel. Suddenly a bunch of guns come out at Hulk. Hulk breaks off a big gun and shoots the other guns with it. Fixit makes it down to the next level. The jabronis see this and notice that the hybrid seems to be within his reach. Hulk accidentally crushes a box, but decides that it probably isn’t important.

Up top a bunch of tanks and helicopters have gathered. A soldier reports in to Hubbins that there seems to be a unidentified flying object coming. The jabronis says that it seems “The Ancients” have arrived. They say that they have to keep them from retrieving the hybrid.

Hulk walks up to the lead box. Suddenly an alien is hovering before Hulk. He says that Hulk has found what is rightfully his. Hulk starts to hand it over with a blank stare. It says that he must return the hybrid and thanks Hulk for his help. The jabronis appear and tell the alien to freeze. The alien fights back and reveals that the jabronis are aliens too. They fight until the alien notices that the Hulk has left.

Hulk finds Hack outside. Hack is giddy about the fact that Hulk got the hybrid. Hulk opens the box up. They look inside. Hack looks down, but the Hulk is laughing. Hulk is still laughing later on the drive home because the hybrid was a special hybrid of corn.

The two jabronis watch them leave and say that at least they didn’t take the hybrid wheat.

No Excuses rating: 2 out of 10

Jenkins says that he wrote these issues because people liked his gray Hulk, and then he completely changes the way he behaves. First I’m not sure why Fixit needed this information, second there is no way Fixit would allow Hack to laugh at him without giving him a one finger knock out. Second why is the Hulk so reluctant to believe that there might be aliens on Earth? Hulk has fought with aliens, killed aliens, been on alien worlds, and teamed with aliens yet he mocks Hack for believing. Hulk wastes the entire issue getting something that turns out to be hybrid corn.

The art is really lousy as well. This guy is making Angela Medina look good. Both the writing and art get a 1 out of 5.
