Hulk tries to get the Savage She-Hulk to calm down, but she isn't listening.
She tells him to back off..."before I slap the living Lou Ferrigno outta you!"
Meanwhile, in the control booth, Greg Hallerhand is
delighted with all these ratings boosting surprises!
Hulk and Wyatt continue to try and calm her down, reminding her that this
behavior isn't the real her. However, she isn't listening… she even accuses Hulk
of hypocrisy for lecturing her about violence, given his own violent past.
Zapper apologizes for his resuscitation procedure having this effect on her, and
promises to find a way to return her to normal. She-Hulk rejects his apology,
and tries to punch his head right off! Hulk grabs her wrist at the last
possible moment, saving Zapper's life! She-Hulk then turns her attention to the
Hulk, and begins pounding away on him, smashing him right through the wall of
the CBC studio!
Hulk falls through the air, and crash lands on Marilyn Monroe's square on the
Hollywood Walk Of Fame, barely missing a family of tourists!
She-Hulk gloats about kicking the Hulk's butt, but Wyatt continues to try and
calm her down. His words start to get through to her, and Jen's normal
personality begins to take control again. "Oh, Wyatt...dear, sweet Wyatt...the
power I have in this form...it overtakes my stability...When I get angry...I
lose control! I...I..I need you Wyatt." Wyatt assures her that he is there for
her, and Zapper chimes in that he is there for her too. The sound of Zapper's
voice starts making her mad again, and Wyatt quickly tells him to leave. Zapper
refuses to listen, saying that Wyatt can't tell him what's best for Jen, since
he's known her longer than Wyatt. She-Hulk grabs a hold of Zapper and throws him
through the hole in the wall!
The Hulk sees Zapper falling from the building, and leaps
up and catches him!
She-Hulk is angry that Hulk saved Zapper, and starts to swear. Hallerhand tells
her to be careful about her language, since they aren't allowed to have
profanity on the air. She-Hulk is fed up with Hallerhand and starts to threaten
him!
Back at the hospital, Moe gets dressed so he can leave, despite Weezi's
objections. She tries to get him to stay in bed, since he hasn't fully
recovered from the Rumbler's attack, but Moe refuses to stay in bed while his
only daughter is in trouble. Moe and Weezi rush out to go to Jen!
She-Hulk says that she would rip Hallerhand's heart out, except he doesn't have
a heart! She decides to rip his tongue out instead. Wyatt grabs her arm and
tries to get her to stop. Jen warns him to get away, since she is afraid she
won't be able to control herself anymore! At that moment, the Hulk leaps back in
through the hole, and grabs She-Hulk in a headlock! He orders Wyatt and
everyone else to evacuate the studio! She-Hulk bites the Hulk's arm, forcing him
to let her go! She then tackles him, and the two of them continue to struggle,
smashing through walls as they go. They crash right into an elevator shaft, and
drop all the way to the ground, still fighting the whole time!
Elsewhere, Christina calls her father for help. She says that She-Hulk is too
dangerous, and he has to stop her before she does anymore damage. Hector
DeVasquez says that he is on his way to take care of this.
Hulk has been holding back because he's trying to reason with Jen...but now he's
had enough. He punches her, sending her flying out of the building and into the
street. As she picks herself up, She-Hulk notes that her cousin may not be a
pushover after all.
On the roof of the CBC-TV building, Hallerhand and his cameraman are getting
into a CBC news helicopter, to follow She-Hulk and continue filming. Wyatt
comes along as well, and Zapper runs up also wanting to go. Wyatt says no, that
he'll just make She-Hulk angrier, but Zapper points out that he has the medical
and scientific knowledge to help Jen, which Wyatt doesn't. Wyatt agrees to let
him come along, and the helicopter takes off. Hallerhand gets frantic to find
the two Hulks, since they are back on the air in 15 seconds. Wyatt snaps that
there are more important things at stake than his TV show! Zapper looks down at
all the devastation the battle has caused, and says they have to find her and
help her immediately. Wyatt spots them on top of the Hollywood hill!
She-Hulk and Hulk continue to duke it out! She-Hulk taunts him, asking how it
feels to be beaten up by his "frail girl cousin". Hulk lifts one of the letters
from the "Hollywood" sign, and smashes it over Jen's head! She-Hulk is about to
attack again, but she gets shot in the back with an energy beam! It is Hector
and Christina, arriving in a "gamma tank" that Hector built. Hector asks Bruce
to step aside while he finishes his business with the She-Hulk. Hector fires
again, and Jen yells in pain. Hulk tells him to stop before he kills her!
Christina asks her father to ease up, saying that she doesn't want She-Hulk
killed, she just wants her to stay away from Zapper. Hector says he is making
sure that She-Hulk stays away from Zapper… permanently!
Hulk leaps forward to try and stop the gamma tank, but it releases coils that
wrap around him and zap him with a 20,000 volt electric shock!
Everyone is shocked as Hector explains why he is trying to kill the She-Hulk! He
says that he had warned Christina not to get involved with Zapper Ridge, since
he knew that Zapper was still in love with the She-Hulk. However, Christina
insisted, and even had plastic surgery to make herself look like She-Hulk to
please him. Hector was furious over this "insult", and vowed to make sure that
Zapper would love only Christina… by eliminating the She-Hulk! He created War
Zone and sent it to kill She-Hulk with the toxin. However, Zapper revived her
with gamma radiation...but Hector secretly tampered with the equipment, trying
to sabotage the attempt. She-Hulk survived, but his tampering caused the
radiation to turn She-Hulk into the Savage monster. Now he is taking a more
direct approach!
However, the gamma beam doesn't kill her--she absorbs the radiation and grows
even bigger, stronger and more angry! She rips the tank open and grabs Hector!
"I want your head on my mantle!! Good-bye DeVasquez!!" However, before she can
kill him, Moe and Weezi arrive! "Leave him alone, Honey! He won't bother you
anymore!" Moe rushes over to her, "Dad'll take you home, baby, and make
everything all right again!" She-Hulk says that Hector hurt her, he's caused her
so much pain. Her body is no longer able to contain all of the gamma radiation,
so it slowly releases it, and Jen reverts back to human form, and collapses into
her father's arms! He assures her that everything will be okay.
Later, in Zapper's lab, Zapper gives Jen another transfusion of Hulk's blood in
order to restore her to being She-Hulk again. Moe would prefer that she stay
human, but he knows it is her decision to make. The procedure is successful, and
Jen transforms back into the She-Hulk!
Soon, the group ties up their loose ends. Jen has returned to her usual
She-Hulk state, with no signs of transformations into the Savage. Hulk is going
to return home to deal with his own problems. Zapper has realized how crazy his
fixation has been, and he and Christina are going to marriage counseling to work
out their problems. Christina apologizes for accusing Jen, and to make amends
she is going to use her father's fortune to pay for the damage caused by the
Savage She-Hulk. Weezi is going to stay in L.A. to nurse Moe back to health, and
Jen and Wyatt are going to go on a vacation together.

Not a bad conclusion to a disappointing arc. And for once
we have the same art team two issues in a row!
The evil
mastermind is at least revealed, and it isn't Zapper. So...how did Zapper show
up so quickly in battle armor and with a gamma neutralizer rifle last issue? He
just happened to have that sitting around the lab? Christina had plastic surgery
to look like She-Hulk?! This character gets more and more pathetic. How messed
up does this woman have to be in order to have surgery to make herself look like
her boyfriend's ex?! That is just sick. As I've said before, this arc was
overstuffed with too many subplots to be dealt with properly. Even with the
wrap-up scene at the end, things felt very rushed. There was no mention of what
happened with Hector (although we can safely assume he went to jail) and there
was no resolution with Hallerhand. After the big deal that was made about him
over the last few issues, you'd think he'd get some kind of final scene, but
instead he just disappears. Weezi, who has been Jen's co-star all the way
through the series, was sidelined for the majority of this arc, and is now being
written out (at least for a while) to stay with Moe again. I wonder if Michael
Eury doesn't like the character?
All in all, not a bad issue, but I'm glad this storyline is over.
