She-Hulk answers her front door and finds her father there with luggage!  Her first reaction is to scream, but she manages to restrain herself. Her father does notice her discomfort though, but Jen denies it. Moe brings his suitcases in, declining help from Jen. She points out that she could lift the whole building if she wanted to, but Moe says that she's still his little girl. He goes to put his suitcases in the closet, and finds a large, dead man inside! "Oh, Right!", Jen says, "I wondered what happened to him!" Jen introduces her father to Garth, the zombie she picked up back during her fight with Black Talon. Garth says he prefers to be called "metabolically challenged".  Jen is surprised to learn that Garth can talk, but he points out that he had nothing to talk about. Jen wonders what she's going to do with him now; he was originally staying around become he had a crush on Jen. Garth says that was just a phase he was going through, but says he does have some talents.  He asks if she likes Cajun cooking. Jen notices that her father is still standing there staring blankly at Garth, and she waves a hand in front of his face to get his attention. Moe snaps out of it and says that New York will take some getting used to, now that he has sold the house... Jen is shocked and angry that he sold the house without her knowledge.  Moe says not to worry, he put all of her stuff in storage.  That doesn't exactly comfort her, with the thought of her childhood toys being locked away in storage. Jen tells her father that he is welcome to stay, but that things are going a little fast for her... At that moment, Wyatt walks into the living room and greets Moe! Moe is embarrassed, since he didn't know Jen and Wyatt were living together, and suggests that maybe he should find a hotel or something.  Wyatt tells Moe to stay, since he won't be here much longer.  This shocks Jen, and Moe decides to give them some privacy, leading Garth out of the room. Wyatt tells Jen that he has to return to his tribe, and resume his responsibilities to them.  Jen says that she'd never try and stop him from doing what he has to do. Wyatt starts to say that is why he loves her so much, but she cuts him off with a passionate kiss.  Wyatt then goes to start packing, and Jen says to just make sure he comes back. Moe puts a hand on her shoulder, and asks if she'll be okay.  Jen says yes, but that she'll miss him.  Moe understands… the reason he moved to New York was to be closer to Weezi.

Suddenly the door bell rings.  Moe answers the door...and there is a swarm of giant, insectoid robots on the other side!  He slams the door shut and tells Jen its for her! She opens the door, sees the robo-bugs, and slams the door shut!  She asks Garth to come hold the door closed.  "Oh sure.  Let the dead guy do it." While Garth guards the door, She-Hulk rushes to a closet and starts pulling out weapons!  Her father is shocked that she has a closet full of high tech weapons. "Doesn't everybody?" She-Hulk quickly changes into camouflage pants and tank-top, with a head band, ammo belt, bandolier, and a huge gun.  She loads the gun and heads out to fight the swarm! She opens the door and blasts the robo-bugs away!  She turns around to find more of them coming in the window.  She blasts and them, and leaps out the window after them! On the ground, she is surrounded by dozens more, and starts blasting away at them! "The thing I don't understand is, what are you guys after me for?  Did I offend Industrial Light And Magic, or something?"

Wyatt hears the noise and comes out of his room to see what's happening.  Moe has already suited up with more of Jen's weapons, and tosses a rifle to Wyatt as well, so they can go help She-Hulk!

Outside, She-Hulk keeps blasting away at the swarm of robo-bugs, but she runs out of ammo!  Before the swarm can take advantage of that, Moe, Wyatt and Garth join the fight! She-Hulk asks if they can hold the fort, while she goes to find out where they are all coming from.  Moe says they can, since the robo-bugs look tough, but aren't very bright. Jen takes off, and is chased by some of the robo-bugs. Across the street, a trio of women are observing the She-Hulk.  One of them checks in with their boss on a watch-communicator.  She tells the boss that they've found She-Hulk, but now isn't the best time to approach her.  Their mysterious employer, an older woman who remains in the shadows, agrees and tells them to stand-by and hope that She-Hulk comes out of this alive!

She-Hulk finds that the robo-bugs have left a trail of destruction for her to follow.  She gets the feeling that someone wants her to find them. As she walks the trail, she reviews all the similarities between her situation, and the movie ALIEN, and notes that there is just one thing missing. "...And it's probably standing...right...behind me." She turns to find a giant version of the robo-bugs right behind her!  She barely dodges its giant fist before it slams into the pavement! As it grabs a hold of her, She-Hulk asks who it is and why its trying to murder her.  It refuses to answer, saying she'll die wondering!  Then it throws her through several buildings!

Elsewhere, Moe, Wyatt and Garth finish off the last of the swarm!  But then the giant bug arrives to kill them!  Moe and Wyatt open fire, but it just slows it down!  Before it can reach them, She-Hulk arrives and yells at it to leave them alone!   She-Hulk leaps up at the giant bug and sprays two large cans of RAID in its face! The bug begins coughing and sputtering, and collapses to the ground! She-Hulk rips off the robot head to find out who is behind this...and finds the Scarlet Beetle!  She asks why he is after her. "It's simple… I need the work!  This is the only comic that would take me...at least until Ant-Man gets his own book again!" Jen tells him not to hold his breath.  Scarlet Beetle complains that he tried to get a job as an X-Men villain, but Bob Harras nearly laughed himself into a coma.  Then he was turned down for membership in the Masters of Evil! "But I'll show them!  I'll show you all!  One day I'll return… and you pathetic cretins will bow before my conquering intellect!  I will rule this puny…"THWACK! Moe squashes the Scarlet Beetle with a newspaper.  Moe tosses out the paper as they return to the apartment.  Jen thanks her father, and he says he's just glad he can still help out his little girl.

Later that evening, Wyatt has finished packing and says he is booked on the 8:30 flight.  Jen tells him that he isn't going anywhere. She brings him out to the living room, where he finds Moe, Weezi, Garth, and a group of other people, including a bunch wearing T-shirts saying "Marvel Movers". Wyatt asks what's going on, and one of the men shows him a paper saying that SHE-HULK has been cancelled! Jen and Renee Witterstaetter step forward to tell the audience that it is true; this will be the last issue of Sensational She-Hulk. While they're talking, the movers begin dismantling the "set" of Jen's apartment.

Renee says they had better clear up the subplot with the shady female mastermind.  Jen says okay, and introduces Millie the Model!  Millie steps forward and asks the readers if they remember her comic from back in the 50s.  She says she isn't really a criminal mastermind… she runs a modeling agency, and was going to offer She-Hulk a job posing for her. "Any excuse to get me into a bikini." Jen says. "That was nothing though...you should have seen the issue where I meet Elvis!  I'll bet you think I'm kidding."

Jen then thanks the readers for being there and supporting the book for the last several years.  Renee also extends thanks to all of the writers, artists, letterers, colorists, etc who have helped put the book together. Jen then gives a special thanks to John Byrne.  "John, you made me what I am today--and as far as I'm concerned, you can come back and do me anytime."

The cast waves goodbye, and then steps out the door, which is the last piece of background left.  One of the movers then picks up the door and walks off with it.  "Awright, lets get a move on.  We still gotta do Deathlok, Darkhold--oh yeah--and Moon Knight."  "AGAIN?!?"

Site for Sore Eyes rating: 8 out of 10

This was a decent final issue to Sensational She-Hulk! It might have been nice if the book could have had a bigger send-off, but I don't think there was time for that.  I think the series was cancelled, and they had to wrap things up quick.  It was still a solid issue, with good writing and art.  I liked the use of the Scarlet Beetle, and I enjoyed the character scenes for Moe and Wyatt. The personal farewell from the character and editor was a nice touch.  In another issue, I would have protested so many pages being spent on talking with the readers, but for the finale, it was appropriate. It is too bad that Weezi, who has been Jen's co-star all along, only got to make a non speaking cameo in the final issue.  Ever since Byrne left Weezi got shuffled to the sidelines, which is unfortunate. It was a pleasant surprise to see Garth brought back again after being forgotten for so many issues.  The Mille the Model subplot also gets resolved.  Unfortunately, the mystery of Jen's necklace from her mother may remain a mystery forever.

The cover is perfect, going back full circle and redoing the cover for issue #1! .
