Although he is fast, he isn't the fastest. Although he is smart, he isn't the smartest. The thing that seperates this hero from the others is that he lives by a certain credo that has shaped nearly every action he has taken since gaining his super powers: with great power comes great responsibility. Spider-Man received great power the day that he was bitten by a radioactive spider, and since then he has been unable to live the life of an ordinary human. His conscience won't allow it.
